Wednesday nights is an exclusively comedy-centered open mic at a bar near my job. For about a month now, I've been trying my hand at stand-up. Tonight was my fifth time up, and I absolutely bombed. One joke out of six got laughs. I came off the stage feeling pretty low. Thankfully, the guy after me was a virgin and was just awful. So bad I couldn't even look at him.

While he was rambling on about how much he loved the color green, the HB6 sitting next to me leaned over and said "You have green shorts!" You have to love it when a girl opens you. She told me she liked my set and that the reason my fat joke didn't work is because I "look too good." Well, talk about an IOI if I ever saw one. Unfortunately, because the bar is super small, I didn't have a lot of opportunity to talk with her because I didn't want to be rude and talk while someone was on stage.

I sat through about three or four more just awful comics and decided I had to leave. I went out to my bike and got ready to drive home. As I drive away, I see her walking the same way down the hill, so I pull up "Hey, going home already? Where do you live?" She actually lives quite close to me, so I offered her a ride. We did some small bullshitting during the drive, but it's pretty hard to hear someone on the road if you're going fast, so we didn't talk too much.

We get to her neighborhood, so I dropped her off. I kinod her a bit while we talked about the open mic. Got her number and let her walk away.

So you're reading this and you think "Well, this is fucking boring. Nothing special happened." And you're right. So what's the point? Don't pass up opportunities. Pay attention to the signs girls send you. Seduction doesn't have to be hard. There will be times when a girl is making it easy for you. All you have to do is pull the trigger.
