Got out of a 2 and a half year relationship a month ago. Found seddit four days later. My life has dramatically improved and I've used my free time to better myself and find it within me to become way more confident in everything I do. Getting out of an LTR really gets you out of your shell and changes your perspective on what you're doing, considering you push yourself to become the man you want. Anyone unsure of whether to stay in a relationship (especially LTR) needs to understand that it's ok to leave someone who they still feel a connection, considering you do it appropriately and you know you're doing it for the right reasons.

I found seddit in middle-highschool and THEN got into a serious relationship.. And I still enjoy every moment of it. I mean if you were in a bad relationship I think its more common sense to break up with the person, but theres nothing wrong with dating someone for longer than one night.

My only advice is DO NOT burn bridges, if somebody had told me this earlier I would have so many more options today . Slowly but surely I'm building them back up but I was dumb early on and it's taking a lot of work to get back to where I was. Play on playa

Just came down with it after a whole 4 years of being able to be outcome independent, and while I knew exactly what I was doing wrong, and how unattractive it was, sometimes emotions make you stupidly irrational.

I did end up telling her how I felt and everything, almost immediately, rather than wallowing in fear of what might happen, which is a huge step up from what I probably would have done several years ago, but being as inexperienced as I was, on top of the fact that things probably wouldn't have worked out regardless, back to square one again. I think the most important thing I've taken away is the fact that while feelings will still linger for me, I've grown to the point where I know that I can deal with them, and know that there will be better prospects down the road.

For me, I've never bothered with actively improving outer game, because I feel that comes with the confidence of inner game. I think the most important thing is always be honest with yourself, and with those around you. All of us have probably been down a path where we lie about how we feel about others and about ourselves, but the fear OP talks about it a deep rooted fear that a lot of us likely have had. If that fear dictates how you pursue relationships, it could end up exactly as OP said, holding on to a relationship that shouldn't continue.

At the end of the day, being single isn't the end of the world, and we should all learn to realise that it is, in fact, something that we can enjoy.

I'm kind of the opposite. I was trying to not get in a relationship. After becoming good friends with this girl and trying to not show interest when she did I finally gave in after almost a year. I didn't do it out of loneliness, I was doing ok with the ladies but finally gave in to her. I really like being with her but a part of me wants to actually learn this pick up stuff. A part of me wants to do it to charm her even more. I don't know what I'm doing. Thanks for the post.

A year ago I was dumped by a girl I was madly in love with after 13 months. Out of spite I sought out help from subs such as seddit and TRP, and now because of it I realise it really was my fault, because I never strived to be a better person. I had grown complacent and comfortable in the life I was leading, and I was neither fit nor social. Now that's all changed, and I owe it to that shitty relationship I tried to hard to hold together. Here's to many more years of self-improvement for all of us!
