Try David Wygant's stuff instead, Mystery is way out of date and frankly the man is autistic. His in the field videos are a joke, he seems to do better at picking up guys than women.

MM is the fundamental background theory for the PUA world. Almost every system is based on it with some variation, or opposed to it and therefore defined by the MM.

The basic M3 model is that every seduction goes through three phases, Attraction, Comfort, and Seduction. If you do them out of order, you usually fail. You can lead a woman through them and the seduction feels natural, since all seductions work that way. Or you can stumble through the phases by accident and not blow it, and you "got lucky."

The original MM was intended for "high value" women, who perceived themselves as having high social value and thus had high barriers against social interactions with strangers. So it was highly focused on indirect approaches, disqualifiers, etc. These methods do not necessarily work on all women, but the skills are useful in general.

MM is largely based on "structured game," which most people perceive as routines. But these are mostly useful for guys learning game for the first time. That's how I learned game for the first time. It gives you a structure to fall back on when you stumble and don't know where to take the seduction. But it still requires you to think on your feet. The trick is, getting enough basic reference experiences to start to understand how the social interactions of approaching works. This system is designed to get you up to speed. If you have time invested in reading it, finish it and start applying it. But understand that it is only the start of your PUA adventures.

Mystery is all hype. Stop reading that immediately. Read Models, it's orders of magnitude better.
