Original - tl;dr: Hooked up with girl. Things were going pretty good. Then...radio silence (sorta).

So I basically just stopped texting her, and moved on. Had a good feeling she'd get back to me, but didn't hold my breath. Well...

Got a text from her the other day asking me how my weekend was (it was my birthday on Fri). Told her it was fun and asked her how hers was, calling her "flakey mcflakerson" in the process (recommended by a sedditor). She texted back apologizing for being a flake and that she got caught up with a lot of stuff (with a sad face at the end). Told her I'm just busting her chops and that she should come to a party with me this weekend. She said that sounded like fun and she "needed a night of fun". I left it at that, didn't text back.

She called me tonight out of the blue, and we had a fun convo about halloween costumes (her talking about cute outfits she wants to wear and me teasing her about them). She's probably coming to visit for the weekend (she's been having car trouble, part of the reason for her stress lately). If that gets resolved, I'd say it's most likely on (she was going thru multiple scenarios of how to try and make it...not me).

I'll give you guys an update later.

EDIT: Some takeaways so far.

-Once I stopped getting texts/calls back from her, I immediately stopped texting/calling. Pursuing it further would have made me look needy.

-I had the unique situation in that the ball was in her court. Our last exchange was her texting me "I'll call you later". She didn't at that time, but I knew that if I had run into her again....I could call her out on flaking. Also, this wasn't a situation where she was completely ignoring texts/calls...just went really cold.

-I jokingly called her out on her "flaking". Not sure if that helped or not, but it didn't seem to hurt.
