I don’t have any problem with dating a bi man but I think it’s common that people assume bi people are more likely to cheat since they have twice as many “opportunities” Oh that is interesting. I hadn't considered that. And yeah you're right cheaters will cheat anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/26 01:14 AM

I get that it's the minimum, but you haven't explained why.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 08:37 PM

Why though?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 07:54 PM

Many women just don't get what it's like to be a man and view men as defective women, like they should be exactly like women and so they are broken.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 06:39 PM

Why do they want to date straight men only when a relationship with a bisexual man is entirely possible and really wouldn't be any different than dating a straight man?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 06:36 PM

What kind of reform were you thinking of? It has to protect that accused as well, no matter what the reform. That's the point. Otherwise the justice system becomes a potential weapon for people who lie or just want to harm someone else. If I call someone a rapist and I've already gone through the legal channles, they have every right to sue me and try to prove malicious libel or slander. That's how it works and I'm not hearing a reasonable alternative.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 03:34 PM

Again, what should women do that are raped in a relationship and have no proof? The same thing as someone whose loved one was murdered and the accused was acquitted. Move on with their lives and probably get therapy. It’s very telling that you refuse to see both sides of this. You only care that a few men won’t be falsely accused and don’t care at all about the women who were raped. I hope your wife knows you hold this view I'm not taking any side. I'm saying that the burden of proof is more imp…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 03:22 PM

The loss of a job is not the only consequence of false accusations. If you are going to talk shit about someone, don't accuse them of a crime for which you have no proof. If you do, regardless of their guilt, you're going to end up paying for it dearly.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 03:06 PM

So you want slander and libel to be unpunishable? Sorry, but no. You are totally free to disparage someone, falsely accuse them, but I hope they sue you as is their right. And they'll win if you have no evidence. Enjoy that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 03:01 PM

Lol yup I don't believe that happens very much at all. We are right back at square one. I don't know what to tell you, dawg. I don't care what you think or about your stupid anecdotes. Is that clear? Good. Now, run along and play.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:56 PM

I want women who are raped to get justice and men who are rapists to be punished harshly. I do not let that get in the way of recognizing the fundamental importance of the burden of proof. Innocent until proven guilty ONLY applies to the court of law. The public is allowed to have their own opinions. Translation: if a victim can't prove the crime, they should be able to take personal vengeance out on the accused. But the court of public opinion doesn't care whether the accused is guilty or innoc…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:41 PM

I'm asking you what is the alternative here. Should we just punish anyone accused of a crime without any proof? Unless you have a viable alternative, I don't really see what you're even suggesting we do. Why must I personalize the situation like you're asking me to do? You want me to try to imagine being so emotionally upset that I will be ok with the rule of law being tossed out the window?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:29 PM

Omg 25 upvotes? 25!!!! Well you need to alert the authorities of this monumental discovery. Have a nice day!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:22 PM

I think RP is an ideology too.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 01:46 PM

Feminism is an ideology and ideologies generally suck and create a bunch of narrow minded sheep. But no, yours is different. Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 01:38 PM

So the alternative is punish the accused without proof? You can't see how that is not really going to fly? And no you can't just socially destroy someone because of it either.

I took the time to read it and I understand what you're saying about perception of different films and what people are willing to forgive. But I still have a problem with it. Like, it boils down to Jean gets a pass because it's a comic book movie so nobody is taking it that seriously, while Obsession they do take seriously and really reflect on the actions of the characters, Bear in particular, far more deeply. But why do people make that distinction in the first place? Obsession, despite not ha…
/r/MensRights11/08/26 02:11 AM

Ok well if I have no sexual desire then yeah I guess I'd still pairbond especially if that was the norm
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 11:22 PM

Yes and that's basically what I have now. The trick is, and a lot of people just don't get this, that neither partner is always going to be equal entirely in all ways or able to give or contribute as much at all times. When one partner somehow lapses, the other picks up the slack and doesn't turn it into some transactional debt sheet where they keep track of what's owed. They just get on with it and provide support. A truly healthy and mature couple doesn't quibble over who provides or the menta…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 10:50 PM

But this is about life partners. Having friends is normal but I dont see why anyone would bother finding a life partner like this unless this are already asexual or sex is entirely unimportant to them. That's not really normal.

Yeah I think it's best we just part ways.

I am. You're all over the place. You're apparently drunk. Your non sequiter was very weird and makes me think you can't really hold a serious conversation and you may be a bigot. Even the fact that you willingly shared your personal info on here is kind of a red flag. It would be a waste of both of our times to connect like that. Is that clearer?

Robert, anyone reading our exchange would get it immediately. Why can't you?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 10:15 PM

Why point it out if it's that obvious? I think there are some implications here but OP hasn't really spelled them out lol

You're a bitch for being afraid to explain yourself until I basically thrashed it out of you lol. I am surprised you doxxed yourself, though. Good job I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:49 PM
1

Wanted whose dick? Why would you ask if I wanted dick? I guess I'm just trying to understand why that was non sequiter you settled on. You know, there's a phenomenon where closeted people will make homophobic remarks as a kind of defence mechanism to deny their own same sex attractions.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:48 PM
1

Nice. I have no interest in chatting with you. But at least everyone reading it will see.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:43 PM
1

Sorry, what is the non sequiter exactly? Walk me through it. Be specific. You seem to be quite unwilling to do that. Honestly, the info thing doesn't make you a bitch. This clear avoidance of just communicating does. We both know you made a lame joke in bad taste. I'm the only one of us who can just say that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:41 PM
1

Dude, you and I have different ideas of fun. I gave you the chance to explain yourself, your little joke. You took the bitch way out. There's no explanation you could offer inna video chat that you couldn't just post here easily. Anything else to add, Robert? I'm tiring of this little game you are playing with yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:35 PM

To what end? You won't even answer a simple question about something you chose to post. What am I getting out of a video call with you, exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:31 PM

Link your FB page Im not chatting with your ignorant neckbearded ass. You know just explaining, and maybe even saying you made a mistake, would be the correct non-feelings driven route here. But you want to private chat with me, meet up and fight? Is that what your logical, rational mind is telling you is the right thing here, Robert?

/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:12 PM

That seems to be the implication. What were you talking about when you said "the d"? Are you scared to explain yourself, big man? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:09 PM
1

A no to what? Are you making jokes about me being gay? This doesn't really reflect well on the reasonableness of all your other responses. Do you have anything of substance to add? Because dealing with people who need to rely on insults is kind of a waste of time. You've already lost the argument if that's what you must fall back on.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:06 PM
1

My friend, I'm the only one in audience. Who are you trying to be funny for? I'm not even sure I understand the joke. Are you being homophobic or something?

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 07:32 PM

These kinds of questions and hypotheticals are wasted on women, bud. I'm not saying there aren't women out there who would say yes to your question, but even the ones who actually wouldnt will say they would lol. This is one of those times where "watch what the person does, watch how they act, instead of listening to what they say" will yield the most helpful results.

Yours isn't reason either and mine is still the more sensible and healthy approach.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 07:00 PM

It's more rational to control your exaggerated and irrational fears than to fan the flames and live in perpetual fear of sonething that is likely never to happen, and again, if it was just these people quietly living in fear, it wouldn't be as big a deal. Still very unhealthy though. But I think this fear is the result of media, it's the product of propaganda. Be afraid, ladies! You can't walk alone at night! Every bush hides a rapist and every dark corner the boogey man.

A tool is useless if it isn't the right tool for the job. Go try plunging your toilet with a jackhammer.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:42 PM
1

It's more logical than this imagined formula you are talking about. Whenever I feel a fear of something that is very unlikely, like a serial killer happening upon my family home on night, I just stop thinking about it. I recognize the horrible nature of the situation I'm afraid of, but it doesn't occupy my thoughts for very long because it's just so unlikely to happen. So,.it doesn't follow for me that the severity is a multiplier of the likelihood in any and every situation.

I don't think there is any framework I would use lol Doens't mean I'd marry myself to whatever mumbo jumbo corporations and the military have adopted, bastions of ethics and temperance that they are. Noone is saying don't follow your jobs expectations. We all have to do that. I work in education, and I can tell you there are a lot of stupid policies that are not valid simply because a school board adoptes them. Wouldnt even the fact that this is framed specifically for the workplace make it some…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:38 PM
1

I dunno I just know i do not walk around feeling afraid that very unlikely things will happen, especially not enough for me to add to a bunch of viral fear mongering telling other people they should walk around like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:34 PM

For who? And why? Who crafted it and why should I or anyone consider it a good framework?

1

Pretty. Doesn't really validate the concept for me though.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:31 PM
1

Again I just don't see the logic in that at all. Who made it up?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:30 PM
1

Which would mean everyone should constantly worry about anything that is severely scary but extremely unlikely. Gotcha.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:29 PM
1

I didn't bother reading this wall of text. I think we've circled this enough. We can agree to disagree.
/r/MensRights10/08/26 06:28 PM
1

You didn't address my point. It sounds like you and any army guy might need to work on your logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:27 PM
1

If that's what they are telling you, it's the biggest pile of BS I've ever fucking heard. Apply it to shark attacks and swimming in the ocean for me. Extremely unlikely. Extremely terrifying both in terms of the outcome (being eaten alive) and the lack of ability to defend one's self. Should we all be afraid to swim in the ocean? Or would you call someone who refuses to do so a tad irrational? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:24 PM
1

No they don't. Nothing changed the liklihood. And if your are overly worried about a very unlikely scenario, you are irrational. And that wouldn't be a big deal if people kept it between themselves and their therapist, but they don't. They instead often use it as an excuse to stereotype men and spread toxic rhetoric.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:21 PM
1

Fear is an emotion and it doesn't care about what is real. That's my point. The liklihood is extremely low, but the other two points which involve pure emotional reaction to what-ifs and imagining the worst possible scenario, take precednece. That's irrational.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:17 PM
1

I'm specificlly addressing how these two characters are perceived by people. It's important and shows a clear double standard. No, throughout the movie he is victimized by the results of the wish pretty harshly and he clearly shows that he is scared, regrets making the wish. Don't know how missed it.
/r/MensRights10/08/26 06:14 PM
1

I also don't understand this question at all. Are you saying the statistical divide doesn't matter because it isn't specifically sexual assault that men need to fear? Also, remember 1 in 9 men are made to penetrate according the the NISVS. That's a lot of victims of women rapists who are out there somewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:12 PM
1

It is debated lol. And I wonder how much more sympathetic people would be if Bear had called the whitecoats to take Nikki away to an insane asylum for the rest of her days. Yeah, that would have made it all better.
/r/MensRights10/08/26 06:08 PM
1

I have no idea how that is related to what I'm saying lol
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 06:07 PM
1

I never rationalised anything. You can most definitely compare if you want. I told the reason why most people do not compare these two. Because these two are fundamentally different movies. Marvel movies fall into same category as Jurassic Park Transformers or High budget B movies. You can take them seriously if you want but most people don't take those aspects as seriously. And if it was male, apart from a small percentage most people would feel the same even if it was male. The evidence being …
/r/MensRights10/08/26 06:07 PM
1

I'm not nitpicking. I'm just being honest. The stats show the fear is highly exaggerated. It's the basis for a lot of stupid viral content that is itself harmful and misandrist.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 05:57 PM
1

No 100% don't agree lol. It's been debated hotly online for a while. And no most people would not have killed themselves or another person. Imagine thinking anyone would be able to do that so easily lol.
/r/MensRights10/08/26 05:53 PM
1

1.They are vastly underreported by men, as well. Even still, 1 in 9 men have been made to penetrate in their lifetime. Bullshit. Scary doesn't mean real. Doesn't change the statistics. So you are just reinforcing what I said about the fear being purely emotionally driven. See above.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 05:51 PM
1

I just flatly disagree. Youre rationalizing in order to avoid having to make the comparison. Nothing about what you said changes anything I said about Jean. She is a rapist (in more ways than one). She is at least an attempted murderer. If that character was male, it wouldn't matter that it was a marvel film; he'd be condemned. Jean is pretty close to Killgrave in Jessica Jones, actually. What you are doing is like if Killgrave wanted redemption in the end it if it was revealed he was seeking ve…
/r/MensRights10/08/26 05:49 PM
1

There isn't. Look up the murder rates and you can see how it skews. Once you look at random criminal violence, women have statistically much less to worry about. It's when they already have relationship with abusive men that the numbers equalize, and even then it's almost an even split where IPV is concerned, with over 40% of cases where men are the abused party.

I just disagree entirely, even about the phone call scene and how he reacts to the new information. And frankly if the purose of the film is to paint Bear as this absolute villain, the writing is actually very bad then and I don't even think this film deserves any credit for storytelling at all. Because they ended up making him very sympathetic and victim himself, with no way out of the curse except to off himself or murder another person, the woman he obsessively loves, no less. Not a single pe…
/r/MensRights10/08/26 05:40 PM

If you include intimate partner violence then these claims make sense. I specifically talked about random criminal violence, which men suffer at fat greater levels than women. There is no data driven reason for women to walk around at night scared and men to not. It's all emotion.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 05:34 PM
1

I just disagree about not being able to compare the film's and characters. Poitning out the fantastical nature of comic book movies is kind of a moot point when the other film involves a curse from a broken twig that traps a person in a limbo style prison while they wreak havoc in the real world.
/r/MensRights10/08/26 05:30 PM
1

I know Bear is flawed. He's a coward and he's selfish and stupid. But that doesn't make him some evil coercive rapist. I felt bad for him the whole film while also recognizing that he's too cowardly to do anything right. The final scene where he tries to throw up the pills is the best example of that. But even that is such a hard thing to judge him for, as if suicide would be such an easy choice for anyone even in his fucked up situation. And I just disagree about not being able to compare the f…

are you afraid to walk around at night? when a drunk gets on the bus and sits right next to you, do you get a dump of adrenaline? does the sight of a mostly empty parking garage make you take pause and wonder about your safety? I love that you brought this up because it's been studied and the department of Justice showed long ago that men fear random criminal assault way less than they should, according to statistics, and women fear it way more than they should. It's called the fear gap. But dec…

I think it is you who should watch the movie again. At no point is he horrified by the fact that Nikki is trapped. At no point does he feel bad or empathy or horror at the fact that human being, a friend, and supposed love is trapped in a body without autonomy. And the movie makes it evidently clear that he actually 100% doesn't care about her. Like not even a little. His only problem is Freaky Nikki acting weird. I disagree. He's quite a sympathetic character. And that doesn't speak to the issues ishr Jean Grey. If Bear is bad, she is monstrous and she gets a pass in more ways than one.
/r/MensRights10/08/26 04:42 PM
1

No, he is pretty horrified by the idea of having wished this upon Nikki from the moment he realizes she is trapped. Even if Bear technically raped Nikki by sleeping with her, it's certainly not true that he had full knowledge of what the curse entails when he slept with her. It certainly doesn't make him some awful coercive rapist to me. By the time he knows what the curse is about, he's already in to role of abused partner and how could he even say no to intimacy without her freaking out, hurti…

Rewatch the phone call scene again and you'll maybe have a different view. For about ten seconds Bear wants to amend the wish so that Nikki still lives him but isn't psychotic. The guy on the phone explicitly tells Bear that Nikki's love is real, which is a lie but it affirms Bears selfish desire. Even after hearing that, Bear is beginning to understand what has actually happened and he then immediately asks to cancel the wish. He doesn't hear Nikki's trapped screaming until the very end of the …

I don't agree fully about Bear, but yes the double standard is clear even if both characters are condemned.
/r/MensRights10/08/26 02:48 PM

This is kind of funny in a dark way, but doesn't address the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 02:22 PM

Yeah I read that too but it's obvious he's saying misandry is making things worse and these horrible outcomes are not helped by misandrist, impulsive response to cases of sexual assault. Not sure how anyone can disagree with that or read it like women must sleep with people they dont want to. OP is taking about having empathy for men who feel frustrated with sexlessnes rather than demonizing them for wanting sex. Seems pretty obvious that society at large displays no such empathy or sympathy jus…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 02:18 PM

No I would not bother. What would be the point? No, I would not suddenly become homosexual as that is not something people choose, they are born that way. What's the point of this wild hypothetical, exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 01:18 PM

Where did he mention rape?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 01:13 PM
1

Yup. And I don't believe that many fathers believe that or tell their daughters that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 12:48 PM

Speak for yourself. I can both aknowledge double standards and ask that they be changed.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:57 PM
1

Well that's silly because that scenario isn't really representative of anything. It would only be right to point this out. Why don't you edit your post to clarify you are specifying only partners who were basically forced to stay at home?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:31 PM
0

Any boundary? That seems like a ridiculous take lol
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:29 PM

The same could be said of you. Take care.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:29 PM

I didn't ask anything. No you confirmed nothing. Even if you are being honest, which I doubt, women on average don't pay for their shit on dates. So most have no concept of why that might be frustrsting to pay for someone else too.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 09:31 PM
1

The stay at home person can choose not to be a parent. The stay at home partner can work and get childcare (and they can definitely afford it because otherwise they'd never be in a position to revert to a single income household). The stay at home person can save up their nest egg before they stop working, if they choose to stop working. The working partner supports them if they choose to stay home. That's fair. Paying them a salary for a choice they made is not.

It is
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 09:26 PM

Why should I believe you? Anyone can make up anything on here. And you seem really adamant to the point you'd say whatever to "win". So it's a nice story, but it doesn't prove anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 09:06 PM

Suuuuuuure
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 08:36 PM

And anyone who thinks it's more important than that must be wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:40 PM

My friend, that's one woman in a sea of princesses. Fucking hold on to her if you can.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:35 PM
2

At this point I'd trade the freedom to post publically for a break from the self-induced state of catatonia, loss of critical thinking and downright venomous attack on the minds of our children.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:34 PM

You. You made this about basic respect.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:30 PM

Getting paid for, like OP was talking about, would be one aspect (and also the one we should be sticking to)
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:27 PM

don't care. We know lol that's the problem but that's ok you dont HAVE to be one If you arent getting the gentleman treatment, you just aren't worthy, child.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:25 PM

Lol well a lot of women make poor gentlemen I'm afraid. They should do better. But we have strayed far from taking about paying for dates and now we are on about kindness lol
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:23 PM
1

No I want the platforms fined, sued, maybe even worse. Clear up a lot of these issues, imo. I mean, I agree it won't happen because of corruption, but that's not really an argument against the idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:19 PM

That's just your inane opinion. Turning it off and on means you know your worth as a person and you don't treat awful people with the same level of respect as you would someone who deserves to be treated well.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:17 PM
3

I think we maybe even should heavily regulate the industry. No half measures. Make social media conglomerates financially liable for what their users post.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:16 PM

And a gentleman always pays? That's a rather convenient framing of this particular inequity. Nah, I'm with the other person. Men should reserve being a gentlemen for someone who deserves it, not just for any person. Nowhere is it written that men have a duty to be gentlemanly in any way unless just following the letter of the law is all it takes to reach that threshold.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:14 PM
2

Maybe there's some truth to that, but I think a lot do people consider women failures when they obsess over stupid icks too. Choose how you'd like to lose, I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:09 PM

So the woman expecting to be paid for is... A prostitute? Sorry just trying to figure out why her entitlement is being excused here.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:08 PM
2

I hate that we talk about these systems like they control us instead of the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:02 PM

That's his point though. I guess he should say rather that those women are dumb, not the practice of paying to play a game that's not easy to stop playing.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 06:01 PM

He would not really be dumb. He would be unusually principled to the point that it hurts him because too many other people are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:59 PM

Chivalry and feminism are like oil and water except to people who want to keep privileges afforded to them by traditional gender roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:57 PM

Says the woman who probabaly hasn't paid as much as the men she's dated and probably never initiated or approached most of the men she's dated.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:56 PM

I think this says some very negative things about modern women if they are still operating on stone age principles of equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:55 PM
2

Nope. I already know how it is. I'm good.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:46 PM
1

The same. You just rebranded it lol. No, id rather you not try to explain something you clearly don't understand. You want to continue?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:45 PM
1

Evolved, schismed, same diff. It's fragmented. Anything to actually counter my point or would you like to continue giving me unsolicited advice about being online?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:41 PM
-1

Well maybe you'll mature enough to understand someday.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:39 PM
1

Thanks person arguing on Reddit and telling others to get a life lol
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:39 PM
2

Well, do it you understand now? I don't feel anything. It's undeniably true that feminism has schismed and probably will keep doing so into the future.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:38 PM
0

Then you're lucky. But this is a problem that extends beyond you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:36 PM
1

How about we do?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:36 PM
-1

Wrong!
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:35 PM
1

Nah it doesn't because she chose to forego those earnings or at least she chose a path knowing they would be harder to attain. Maybe she should have saved up herself before she became a mom. You know, like normal people who don't expect other people to pay for their choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:35 PM
3

I don't know how to explain it any simpler. Feminism has many different heads these days, and they don't always jive. And no one head can objectively say they are the only "true" feminists. TERFs think the are feminists. Radfems think the are feminists. Maybe you don't, but that just shows that the term, the movement is very nebulous.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:34 PM
0

Probabaly because of influencers broadcasting it. I'd have no problem with icks, even the dumbest ones, if people weren't so cavalier about making them a big deal irl and online.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:31 PM

Read the list before you judge him. Some wild shit on there.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:04 PM

I think we should tell men and women complaining about icks through social media to shut up, though. Shame them into keeping it to themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:04 PM
1

Yes, I would agree that people's actions are far more important than their initial, impulsive response. Some of us can overcome our icks. Or at least not proclaim them for all to hear like anyone should even care.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 05:02 PM
5

Potato vs potato
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 04:55 PM

I'm having a little trouble understanding, but would the shit a lot of women say about how they dont dress for male attention even though they obviously often do count?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 04:54 PM
3

Feminism is so fragmented and muddled now, it both is and isn't, depending on the kind of feminist you're talking or listening to, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 04:22 PM
2

Nah it mutated when it became another Tik Tok trend used by stupid influencers to get attention and often money. Ick is now often just an adult toddler's way of justifying their own irrational behaviours. When we start seeing a lot of content about people recognizing their icks are stupid and trying to stop being a slave to them, then we can treat it like it's a little more benign.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 04:12 PM
-2

Nothing. Feel free to move along anytime you like.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 04:09 PM
1

I disagree overall but I will concede that sex can be a factor and it is for men much more often than women when it comes to ignoring the icks.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 03:56 PM
-4

It is my opinion. Hence why I said "I think". And no I don't think the system self corrects at all as there are many other elements at play and an ick can spoil something after commitment too.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 03:55 PM
3

Maybe that's the real problem. Not that people have them, but that they are starting to talk about them incessantly whenever dating comes up, especially online.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 03:50 PM
2

Yeah but a lot of icks are petty and stupid. I've never met a man who wouldn't date a woman because of the kind of phone she used or anything like that. We all have icks (and I hate that we are not using this baby talk BS to describe turn offs) but I think women more than men allow some pretty stupid ones to sway them these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:58 PM
0

You're both wrong. It's not that men are emotionally superior or that they are just too horny to have hangups and boundaries. Men just aren't as neurotic and there are less things they ruminate about to the point of ditching a potential partner over x,y,z. That's not to say men don't ditch their partners, but you're kidding yourself if you think women don't let stupid little icks dictate their course of action more than men, in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:55 PM
0

I assume it's the trendy (specifically on social media) aspect that makes it generate such ire in response. Personally, I don't care about anyones icks. Just stfu and keep it to yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:53 PM
4

I mean this seems like we can't compare "icks" and weed out the stupid ones lol. I'm sorry but if your "ick" is short men, you're shallow. If you're "ick" is the use of an android phone instead of an iPhone, you're stupid. If your "ick" is a guy not paying for your drinks and meals, you're materialistic and greedy. If your "ick" is someone casually disagreeing with some of your beliefs, you're narrow minded. Just because we all have freedom of expression doesnt mean a lot of those expressions ar…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:51 PM

It's baby talk for "I have some weird hangups and boundaries but I don't want to be judged for them" most of the time
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:48 PM
1

I think "ick" is a just a rebranding of women's insecurities, hangups and often unrealistic expectations concerning dating. Progressive women love love love rebranding like this so they don't have to work on themselves or see themselves as the problem. I said what I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:46 PM

Giving something up doens't mean the alternative wasn't more appealing. You're ignoring how it plays out a lot of the time. This highly complicates your argument. A stay at home partner is funded by the employed partner. The "unpaid labour" is fully compensated in this dynamic. You can't have your cake and eat it too. It's silly to suggest the employed partner, in addition to providing all financial support and stability, must also compensate the stay at home partner for a choice they made conse…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:38 PM
1

I don't see anything in the post that justifies that assumption. I know several stay at home mothers and they all choose not to work. They worked for a long time in their fields and just made the choice. They weren't forced. And they were only able to make that choice because their husbands makes enough money to unilaterally provide financial support. They are all quite wealthy. One of the mothers still put her kids in daycare before they were school aged but she still stayed at home.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:15 PM
1

You're assuming the stay at home partner was asked instead of chose that path. And I assume the money that partner spends comes from the other partner who earns it through gainful employment.

The one who already pays for everything they have?

No it isn't
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:07 PM

actually now that i think about it, most men are bigger misandrists than most women. for example, look at the advice a father gives his daughter: don’t trust men, i know how they think. Which father? You have some kind of objective data about the rates fathers communicate that to their daughters? Lol sorry but saying men are more misandrist than women is clown logic. also men will say stuff about themselves that sounds really bad when you actually think about it but they just frame it as normal.…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:07 PM
1

Sorry, no what you mean to say is marriage should be the consent. But it's not. Even married couples can have separate accounta and separate debt. Just wishing marriage made it all automatically shared doesn't make it so. And yeah you can advise women to be manipulative but don't get upset when men decide to do it too lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:04 PM
1

On other threads? In other conversations in this one? Why are you commenting on this one, then? Like, make a real point or leave me alone. I'm not entertaining you just badgering me about ettiquette.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 02:01 PM
1

What argument? You asked for a definition lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 01:28 PM

Don't tell me, tell all the different people and groups putting pressure on individuals to adhere to these scripts. There are a myriad of both progressive and conservative channels that are constantly enforcing social pressure to conform in one way or another. This is what comes of identity politics in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 01:28 PM
5

Two different things. What started it vs what keeps it alive and prospering.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 01:25 PM
1

Plenty of married couples don't have shared accounts, that is all I'm saying. Regardless of how the settlements would go during a divorce, a woman shouldn't be able to "gain access" to anything in his name without his explicit consent. That you even framed it the way you did is disturbing.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 01:25 PM
7

I think this is the attitude that is going to keep women down and patriarchy alive for a long time lol but I guess it must feel good to say it so enjoy
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 12:29 PM
1

It's very prevalent. Just because a few women you know don't watch it (and I'll bet they actually do; it's hard to believe any woman active on social media would be able to miss it entirely as it ranges from spiritual advice to straight up misandry) doesn't mean it isn't prevalent. Up until a few years back, pretty much nobody knew what "toxic masculinty" is and look at where we are now.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 12:25 PM

I don't care if you disagree. Anything else to add?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 12:22 PM

I've read the studies too but they focus on why women already in those fields tend to leave them. I don't want to say those problems don't exist. They do. But I also don't believe for a second that's the primary driver for unequal representation in those fields what with all the legal protections available these days. Women don't want to pour concrete for a living. It's very phsyically demanding and men are just better at it. More upper body strength means they don't destroy their bodies as much…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 12:22 PM

I don't think even women, as a group, have any idea what women want. I think there is a script for it, things women know they are supposed to say. But I think many women who follow that script do so without any conviction and their actions don't even necessarily line up with their stated desires. Most women will say they value personality over looks and status, but refuse to date men who don't have looks or status. Most women say they can do anything a man can do, but they still choose to enter …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 12:17 PM

Her study found systemic sexism wasnt responsible for keeping women down even in male dominated fields they do choose. Do you have any objective and verifiable evidence of all the harassment and hostility in these fields that you assume is the reason women rarely work them?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:56 AM
0

You can attribute my opinion about it to whatever you like, but it doesn't make it less true.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:55 AM
1

I'm not. Did you think when I said society I meant every single person including myself, the person complaining about it? Seems like you might be purposefully obtuse here. I don't know why you couldn't look it up yourself but femslop is basically all the garbage influence content aimed and marketed at women specifically. It's the other side of the coin of manosphere grift.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:53 AM

Prove it, then. I'll take Goldin's nobel prize winning 27 year study over your hunches.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:50 AM
0

Great. Then that would only reinforce my point that these women are bullshitting about matriarchy being the natural and best way, wouldn't it?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:49 AM
1

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:48 AM
1

Your have to ask women why they don't choose to do it. But I know enough about Goldin's research on the pay gap to know there isn't any boys club keeping them out of any field in this day and age. Oh Sean Connery said something once. That's excellent evidence lol. I just used stem as an example because of all the money time and effort spent to increase female rep in those fields and they still choose not to.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:47 AM
1

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:41 AM
0

Look it up. There is no reason to believe that humans are predisposed to that system of that if would be any better if we were.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:40 AM
1

You can look it up. And yes thats a common excuse made by terrible women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:39 AM
1

No it's not a chauvenistic culture that keeps women from doing any job in modern Western society. Look at stem and all the efforts to increase female represetation over the last two decades. They still don't want to enter those fields. Lol you just blame everthing on men.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:39 AM
1

Where are they getting the money?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:37 AM
1

Reread the previous comment and tell me how you could think I didn't explicitly state women do misandry more than men lol This isn't about misogyny. You keep trying to deflect to it, but nobody is falling for it. Stay on topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:37 AM
1

It is. Women who are misandrist are unaccountable. Period.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:35 AM
1

😂 Maybe. However the SAHM is managing the household, children expenses and paying the bills, she’ll need access to those accounts. It's possible shes paying the bills, even more likely, but not necessarily true. And she is compensated for that labour by virtue of the fact that she spends the husband's money and lives in a house he pays for, eats food he pays for, etc etc. Moreover, with financial statements and other documents stored in the safe of the home office, there’s no way to keep those r…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/26 11:34 AM

Sound advice from OP. If you are just looking to have fun, have casual sex or some kind of situationship, you should pay. It just makes it easier. If you're looking for the one to spend your life with, see how your date deals with that particular gender role/norm not working for her anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:44 PM
3

It's definitely a capitalistic thing in that only the very well off can afford to be in that kind of dynamic. All the women I know who are stay at home still sent their own kids to daycare throughout the week before the kids were school age... Make that make sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:41 PM
1

And we all know how people react to prenups already. People get the ick from starting a marriage on the basis of assumed failure and contention.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:37 PM
1

A very good case for husbands to keep their accounts separate as a rule lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:35 PM
1

Compensated by who? What makes you think would be husbands like the idea of basically setting up a divorce insurance fund for their prospective wives at the outset of a relationship? Just look at how women react to prenups and you should understand why it's not ideal lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:34 PM
3

And women are only getting more and more paranoid and delusional 🤷
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:31 PM
1

Well then, if my individual apology isn't worth anything, why should anyone except yours? Honey, I didn't apologise for anything lol. I asked what would happen if I did. You are also lying and refuse to take accountability. You said all you've seen here is women who can't admit misandry is wrong. I showed you otherwise but you still want to "all women." Let it go, dude. You just don't want to like women or be fair. I guess I'll just keep screaming into the void that your apology doesn't do anyth…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:28 PM

If you have to insult, you've lost the debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:22 PM

What a dumpster fire of a comment section. I don't know why I didn't anticipate so many women displaying the very lack of accountability (or attempting to defend it) that OP was asking about. I should have. Probably the best example of people actually telling on themselves I've seen in a long time.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:12 PM
1

Which has nothing to do with anything. I'm not biting and diving into an even deeper nonsensical argument with you. But even if you are 100% correct, it makes no difference. All you're saying is "... But, but men too!". Who cares when we're talking about women here, not men? There are plenty of places to criticize and complain about the faults of men available to you, even just on this one platform. You brought a rooster to a dog fight.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:06 PM
1

I named misandry, which women unquestionably do more than men. So, your little play by play is a fiction.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:04 PM
1

Your individual and, frankly, forced apology really doesn't mean much, though. No, you apologizing for all women would not help or prove anything. Lots of women would still lack accountability. Nothing about my original point is challenged. Your problem is you think criticism means hate and anger. I don't accept your pronouncements about who I am or my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 11:03 PM
1

That's a deflection. Nobody was talking about men. There are other threads for that, here and on other subs.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 08:51 PM
1

Whataboutism doesnt become anyone. You deflected. This wasn't a conversation about men in any way. You attempted to shift it to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 08:38 PM
1

Misandry? No, we can't talk about that when there are hate crimes to deflect to.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 08:09 PM
1

I really would rather stick to the topic, which is women. I know it must be difficult to just stick with talking about that instead of deflecting.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 08:08 PM
1

If that's what you need to tell yourself
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 08:07 PM
1

If I apologize for the misogyny of all misogynists, will women stop talking about them? Lol I appreciate your personal response, but I also didn't ask you for a personal apology
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 04:14 PM
3

I can still see it. He just blocked you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 04:13 PM
2

Then these women on here should probably stop doing it, which was my point
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 04:12 PM
2

All I've seen here is a bunch of women who can't even admit misandry is wrong and misandrists are unaccountable lol So keep popping off but nothing changes that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 03:10 PM
1

Lol sure keep telling yourself that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 02:49 PM
1

saying that misandrists are more honest about how they feel than misogynists is being a misandrist apologist? huh? Sure sounds like a defence lol. And I don't even believe it's true, so there's that. Sexism is sexism. All those people are trash. yeah no shit i’m gonna bring up misogyny when this thread is about men generalizing women for not taking accountability, and all the examples of not taking accountability are something men do too Sorry but I don't consider misoginy an excuse for misandry…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 02:48 PM
2

I'm not. All I said originally was that one thing that shows a lack of accountability in women is misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 02:41 PM
0

Nobody said anything about misogyny. That was other people like yourself deflecting because anytime anyone says misandry is wrong well people like you just have to bring up misogyny. That in itself is displaying a lack of accountability or at least you're an apologist for misandrists. Yuck.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 02:40 PM
3

Dude, have you ever done laundry? Get this. You have to put the clothes in this machine and then take them out and put them in this other machine, then you have to put them away. Its crazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 02:35 PM

Proving his point wonderfully, dear.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 01:57 PM

I would definitely agree that rapists should be held accountable. And if they avoid that then they are indeed not being accountable.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 01:57 PM
2

Shouldn't they?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 01:55 PM
1

If you're sexist, you should apologise for it, own your mistake. And no those conversations and concepts were not general observations lol. They were misandrist garbage just like the people who espouse them.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 01:55 PM
0

I commented about misandry, daring to say misandrists should take accountability, and somehow I'm deflecting because you want to make it about misogyny lol.

Nobody smart*

There are two competing schools of thought that I've encountered. The first is exactly what you are saying about qualifying these generalizations. The second is that we should just assume they are so qualified. I'm not sure which I think is better, but people are going to keep doing both anyway so I just give up lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 11:54 PM

There is no apology. That is my point. Women who do it or defend it should apologize for it and recognize it's wrong. But they don't. Because they don't take accountabailty.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 11:40 PM
5

It's not strange at all lol. If this made sense, there would be no crime at all in society. Just because people bitch about something, doesn't mean it changes. No, I'm not wrong. Nobody excuses a misogynist not taking accountability because he doesn't feel sorry.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 10:55 PM
3

Lol that's silly. Practically everyone insists misogyny is called out, stamped out. Where have you been? In a coma? Anyway, these people feeling sorry or not doesn't have anything to with their ability to act accountable.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 10:46 PM
4

Nah the response is "you're one of the men we are talking about" more often than anything else lol So I guess all these women saying "not me, not the women I know" must be the very women OP is taking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 10:37 PM
1

I don't think OP meant all women and we all know how "not all men" is viewed as response to misandrist statements. But I guess it's too much to ask to follow your own advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 10:36 PM
5

The ones responsible should have, for sure. The very act of deflecting this to misogynists is dodging accountability. Instead of condemning misandry, all you can do is deflect.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 10:35 PM
0

No and no lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 09:55 PM
3

How does that matter? If a misogynist isn't sorry for his sexism, he's still a misogynst.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 09:55 PM
1

No it's not request for accountability. It's a stupid sentiment that just justified stereotyping all men because of the actions of a few.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 09:54 PM
7

It's very common for "not all men" to criticized as a response to those generalizations. Thanks for agreeing lol.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 09:53 PM

Yes, and what is the response when men say "not all men"?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 09:52 PM
4

A little googling and the effort to overcome your own confirmation bias is all you need to do that, friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 09:51 PM
5

False and you're dodging accountability right now
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 09:28 PM

Anything. Man v bear. The poisoned fruit analogy. "It's all men until it's no men". Weaponized therapy speak. The list goes on and on and gets longer with each passing year. There's always some new rage bait femslop content online. I'm chuckling because I feel like you're now going to let the point fly over your head and start defending these things.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 08:57 PM

This ain't about you, though. Obviously, these are generalizations and you shouldn't assume even RP guys think they apply universally.

Making misandrist statements.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 08:47 PM

Do we really need to say "not all women" in order for you not to personalize this debate?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 08:47 PM

Misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 08:46 PM
-1

Misandry is probably a great example. I've challenged a lot of women when they make misandrist statements and, at best, they just dismiss me and, at worst, they will literally say that it is a justified response to misogyny. I can't remember a time when one of them reflected on the expression of their ideas and how they could be wrong or even harmful.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 08:41 PM
2

Maybe you care too much. The fear gap between men and women has been thorougly studied and the results do not affirm that women should be walking around scared all the time, especially when it comes to men they don't already have a relationship with. But you can look that up on your own.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 07:23 PM

It is popular because a ton of stupid people like to quote Atwood even though they probably haven't read most of her work. The internet periodically churns out some new slogan against men as a group. Nothing new at this point. "It's all men until it's no men" is another one. Real smart people mindlessly parroting these little slogans like cheerleaders lol.

Yup. The average pay the price for the crimes of the extremes.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 06:58 PM

If we operate under the presumption the accusation is the truth, them I outlined what should happen. I highlighted what could happen if it was a lie, because sometimes people lie and, as many other users have pointed out, metoo, while the idea is great, has the potential to be abused by liars. You seem unwilling to acknowledge that bad people can use good initiatives and movements for their own despicable ends. Imo, that is very telling. "Believe all women" was always a toxic idea, because women…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 05:53 PM

Would that be considered a public accusation? I dunno. If James didn't rape you, I think James could still be hurt by your lies, so there ought to be legal recourse for that. If James did rape you, you should go to the police before anyone else except the people you are most comfortable confiding in (likely friends and family but maybe a boss).
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 05:41 PM

It's healthy for men to masturbate often, presuming it's not harmful in some specific way like a porn addiction or they are doing it so much they are phsyically harming themselves. Generally, masturbating once a day relieves stress, improves mental health, improves sleep and even reduces the risk of prostate cancer.

We need to unpack why we just accept that declining sex is a dealbreaker in a relationship and not anything else, is it just because it matters to men? Most men don't feel loved if that part of the relationships ebbs significantly. I'm not saying this the only dealbreaker, just a very obvious one because it is practically universal. If, per your comment, its that prevalent that many women decide they no longer want sex in a relationship, maybe it its normal for women and there should be more pus…

I think the first thing that needs to happen does need to be from women, feminists and progressives because I think that their transgressions are not put down on the same level as conservative bullshit. A lot misandry masquerades as feminism and people seem to go much easier on these things than commensurate nonsense said by the other side. Aknowledging that misandry is real, harmful and not justified by past and current mysoginy would go a long way towards this rather new sentiment that men are…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 08:06 PM

Well point me to someone making the claim and I can tell you if they are being misandrist or not. The concept in and of itself isn't bad, of course. But the same could be said about a lot of other concepts which usually spark heated debates because of the way they are communicated.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 07:48 PM
2

It can be depending on how that is expressed.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 07:34 PM
1

You think that comparison works? I'm pretty sure trips to Paris is a very specific ask and probably not a complete dealbreaker in any relationship. Sex is something that is far more important and vital to a healthy relationship than travel. It would be better to ask if the man refused to speak with his wife would she be reasonable if she had conversations with other people. Yes, she would.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 07:22 PM

But they should stop, right? Like, you're not arguing for a solution.

Yeah I wish it got the same hate as all the manosphere bullshit but right now society eats femslop content like it's available for a limited time only like the fucking McDonald's St Patty's Day green milkshake.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 06:45 PM
1

No, even your reaction doesn't make sense. Nobody cares who struck the first blow and it doesn't matter. The other user rightly points out that hate begets hate. If you disagree, you're in denial. And I also don't see where the other user said social media is the only thing making this happen, although it cannot be denied it heavily exacerbates it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 06:41 PM
1

Even if they did, you're just as bad lol. You're perpetuating it. You're no better. And I don't even see a post or comment that makes the claim that social media is solely responsible for it. Can you link it? OP just said women pretend to hate men because misandry is fashionable. Social media is the vehicle for that, like so many other trends these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 06:22 PM

It doesn't apply. At all. Well, you should choose your words better. You're whole argument just boils down to "men started it".
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 06:16 PM

Except men hated women first lmao. And more than hate. Subjugation. Abuse. Men have hated women for milenia. Women are just now fighting back and it's a problem. This was the original comment I replied to. You, as a woman living in 2026 in the west, are not subjugated. If you are abused, it's a personal matter, not something done by men as whole. Men have not hated women ever. SOME men did. And women hating men now is just them doing exactly what they didn't like those men doing in the past, whi…

I'm asking if women as group are oppressed. How would individuals experience oppression on a systemic level, exactly? You're pathetic response is so tired lol you jump to insults and stupid assumptions about me because I don't agree with you. You should go back to school and learn how to think. And I didn't downvote you.

I'm sorry if you feel insulted but I firmly believe what you're doing is childish and lazy. What am I supposed to do? Ignore it? Coddle you because you don't like being criticized? We are on Reddit arguing, so what is it you think I'm going to say about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 05:06 PM
1

What I'm saying doesn't mean that will never happen to you again. Men will still approach you. You deciding, with a snobbish and entitled attitude, that you're above putting in some effort into initiating is childish and, yes, it is absolutely lazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 04:54 PM

You did not answer the question. Are women (and I'll specify in the West) oppressed or are they not? Save your little pity party speeches for someone who can't see through them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 04:00 PM

I do in the sense that the majority of commentary, at least until recently, about the social efficacy of one gender or the other has come from progressives. I think we are now seeing a backlash to that from right wing men mostly.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 02:49 PM
1

Yeah but lots of times the sexlessnes starts well before the age that it naturally tends or ebb. Also, the vows thing is king of silly. They promise to stay together in sickness and in health, but I don't see how that translates to sex being the big factor there. You can be together and have sex with other people, for ex.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 02:37 PM
2

I think this is well put. One that always confuses me, though, is that a lot of women will stop trying sexually and still the idea of their partner having sex with someone else is so awful to them. I don't like cheating, of course, but I also do not get it when a woman (typically) gets so upset about the concept that a sex starved husband could cheat. Even if it's just casual sex and not an emotional affair.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 02:34 PM
1

I agree. The real question then becomes how do we stop this pointless quibbling. And I do lay more blame of progressives for this whole situation because it was not men who started saying women are useless and irrelevant now. That's not to say men didn't treat women as less in the past, but they didn't act as though women had no value, they just restricted the value women were allowed to have. And that wasn't fair, but the feminist reaction that resulted was basically a psyop trying to convince …

I do think he has a point. Brushing your teeth is unpaid labour, but it benefits you. Caring for your own children and household also benefits you. Like he said, the fruits of that labour are there but it's not monetary. And I think the suggestion that it should be monetarily compensated is kind of stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 01:51 PM
1

I disagree, but I'd say there's a whole other side that needs to stfu about men and masculinty before they can expect anyone to shut up about women. So long as progressives keep saying stupid shit about men being useless and no longer necessary, men are going to clap back and so they should.

No group can unilaterally claim credit, but I think men say these things because misandrists say men are not necessary or useful all the time. Farmers do uphold our society in the sense that they are essential to our survival at least in terms of the life we know. That doesn't mean that healthcare workers also don't uphold society. But you have these people, mostly women, who say dumb shit like men aren't needed and not even in a personal context, in a societal one. Play stupid games, win stupid…

It is comparable. It's just not convenient for you. Approaching, contrary to what you may think, is not easy. Rejection is not harmless, even though nobody is to blame. I honestly can't fathom why someone like you would rally so hard against the prospect of doing what all those men do all the time.

Well, we already covered this. Just because you don't have to lift a finger doesn't mean you shouldn't. I could let my partner do all the labour and mental load because, honestly, if I sat back she'd probably still do it. But that doesn't feel very fair, does it? And yes many things aren't fair, but I was under the impression we were trying to fix that shit pretty much across the board. I didn't mean you personally. I don't know you. But I know a lot of women, even when they find a guy attractive and want to talk to him, will not approach. Why shouldn't they? Just do it. The worst that can happen is you get rejected and we keep hearing about how that's not a big deal and dealing with it is no problem. And it does make sense. You're just operating under the "why should I?" mentality when the answer is obvious. Because you want to. If you don't, then don't worry about it, but som…

But I think the point is who complains about the other gender being useless and unnecessary more? I don't think it's men in this day and age making those idiotic points. They respond idiotically, some of them, but progressive women routinely diminish the indispensible work men do. So what do you expect?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 10:00 PM

I don't see why it matters or how it's any less true. Look at all the women who complain about oppression when they've never tasted it even in the slightest. They all seem to think their struggles are even comparable to women who lived before and during first wave feminism.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 09:57 PM

I'm with you. I'm just saying, when there are very vocal progressives saying stupid shit, there will be a commensurate reaction from non-progressives.

5

I'd need to see the context and what was said beforehand. I don't for a second believe someone, unprompted in any way, just approached you and declared such a thing. And even if it happened, I'm quite sure it doesn't happen that way anywhere near that amount of times that kind of exaggeration is used in a gender debate that's already raging. I've heard women say humans are meant to be matriarchal, despite all biological and anthropological evidence to the contrary. I don't use those instances as…

I think most men do factor them in. I mean, I haven't heard any guy just shit on education and health care like they aren't important. I think people forget that women (misandrists anyway) often start the complaining by saying that men aren't needed anymore and pointing out the obvious ways men contribute to fundamental aspects of society is an easy way to counter that.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 08:36 PM

Yup. Most claims of this nature that I've seen are usually a response to some social media misandrist trend or talking point.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 08:31 PM

I don't know if I qualify to answer the first question, as I wouldn't say that women survive off the hard work of men in such a combative way, though I'm sure no matter how I'd put it, it would end up offending some progressives. I certainly laugh whenever I hear women say they don't need men for society to function, because that isn't true. We need each other. I am an elementary school teacher, a profession that is over 80% women dominated. Now, the point that needs to be clarified is that I am…

I mean that's a rule you just made up that isn't even followed a lot of the time depending on who is doing it, especially when women are doing things that are harmful, like prevalent misandry, and it also does not mean we can't call women out for whatever we like, harmful or not. We can and should absolutely address the double standard around initiating in dating and we can call it laziness because it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 07:16 PM

You can't as easily ignore a bunch of shit like that online, though. And if you can, then I don't see why anyone should be concerned about the manosphere because you can ignore that too. Anyway, the point is that men do get shit for the things they can't control all the time. It's fairly prevalent.

Making women more comfortable has nothing to do with physical size. No one is asking them to decrease their physical size though. THAT advantage specifically isn’t something men need to change. Or course it has something to do with physical size and strength, though. It comes up every time. Women commonly talk about how imposing men are walking down the street or wherever. I mean, yeah if the friendship is killing you, it's best to step away. However, that's just a bandaid. You need depper psychological help so that you can fix whatever is causing you to feel like this. It won't go away and you'll end up not making any real friends unless they are doing worse than you in some way. The underlying feeling of jealousy is the problem, not the friendship.

Men are certainly not taught to be misogynists lol You know why a lot of us sometimes say "females, right?" ? You can end a relationships for any reason you like, but you'll be judged for it. In the case you are describing, I'd look down on someone for ending a friendship because they were jealous of their friend instead of being happy for them.

Threats and even aggressive catcalling are actually illegal and we have recourses to deal with it when that happens. So, it doesnt matter. If you agree that most catcalling is not a serious threat, that's good enough for me. Glad you finally admitted it.

I would argue that that is often held against men, resulting in rather damaging stereotypes. It's all men until it's no men. The poisoned fruit in a bowl of fruit. Man v bear. We can't tell the good ones from the bad, so we assume all are bad out of safety. Etc etc. There's a whole debate about what men need to do to make women feel safe and comfortable. The fact that our strength is not in anyone's control doens't sway the side that expects us to adjust our behaviours.

Do you think people who have privilege owe anything, even in terms of how they choose to act as opposed to actual material things they are expected to give up or reject, to those who don't? It doesn't matter. The point is something working isn't a justification in and of itself. Kind of makes his point about laziness stronger, though. It's like, a douchebag could also say "I won't be genuine in my efforts to get laid because I don't HAVE to. It's that simple." I wouldn't care. I believe that being in public spaces means you don't get complete control over the interactions you have. That's what private spaces are for. That expectaion makes more sense when you aren't in public. I get being approached is annoying, but you'll live. And I would never trade the way it is for some weird AF society where people stop talking to each other because sometimes it doesn't go well. Further, your whole point about Chipotle etc is moot because everyone knows if a guy …

If you could prove it, you would have, and now you're just pivoting acting like, if you had, my mind wouldn't change anyway lol. But you still haven't given me any reason to change my mind. Until you do, you're just blabbering conjecture. Catcalling doesn't often lead to escalatation to sexual assault. Most of time, nothing happens but hurt feelings and extended periods of complaining.

Whatever you say lol

Nah it's not evidence. You just made a BS claim and can't point to anything else but what you can see on here, which is just one thread about one topic. It's so obvious you are just trolling lol.

Nah there is no evidence and you just can't admit it.

No you have not. You've provided nothing. It's not my job to disprove you. It's your job to prove what youre saying. You can't because it was dumb claim to make to begin with. You have no idea how I spend all or any of my time or who I challenge, here or anywhere else. All you can do is make half assed references to a single debate thread and hope someone with no brain reads it and considers it evidence of anything besides your own poor rhetoric. Keep trying.

Your claim is BS and it will remain so until you provide something of substance. I nerer made any claim. I just said what I feel. There's no evidence required for that because I'm the one who feels it. You have yet to provide any support for your claim.

You can do what you said you could easily do and link any comment where I treat these pathetic entitled men nicely. But you won't because you can't and you never could. But do go on about all my comments in this thread lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/26 02:24 PM

Yeah yeah you totally won the debate. You should keep telling yourself that and it'll be totally true lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/26 01:47 PM

I mean you literally can't or won't provide the evidence for your claim. So, that makes you the lazy one. Nobody would see it any other way. The easier and more obvious you say it is, the more lazy you appear for not taking the time to backup your words. This a debate sub. It's not a place for you to hand out homework assignments for your fellow Redditors.

I also think the experience of the chase is fun, but Im pretty good at flirting and I don't give two shits about getting rejected. This seems like a form of cultural relativism. I don't think it really works because you could literally defend misogyny using the same arguments.

Which men? I've never heard one say anything like this. I'm sure it happens, but if you're trying to say as many men hold that view as women expect to be paid for on dates .... Yeah, no lol

I'm not trying to explain the behaviour. I don't know why they do it. I just know it rarely results in more than a minor inconvenience and I'm tired of people treating it like it's "trauma".

You should look up who actually faces more danger like that from these types of men. Spoiler, it's not women. Not by a long shot. So spare me the how would it feel nonsense. Getting assaulted by a stranger is significantly more likely to happen to a man than a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:54 PM

You can see all my comments? I doubt it. And if you can, please link some where some guy complained like a baby about not getting laid and me backing him up or not calling him out for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:44 PM
1

No they are not. I did not agree. You're working on averages. But those are determined by choices of individuals, not sexism. Nothing prevents women from making just as much or more than men on average but their own choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:42 PM

And those things are not in the hands of most men. Thanks for illustrating my point again.

I tell them to stfu plenty lol. How would you know?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:34 PM

The men who do it are indeed responsible. Since you won't treat us differently and call out the people who don't, then why should we care about your stress and discomfort in a rather innocuous social situation? I don't mean catcall more, I just mean coddle less lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:33 PM
5

I completely agree and I think men who complaint about that should stfu.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:20 PM

I just want you to understand that the men who catcall don't give a shit about how you feel about it, and constantly telling the rest of us how we are bad because we are the same gender as those guys and we also might not agree with every progressive talking point is not helping because, like me, I think a lot of us are just stating not to care when women are subjected to mild assholery.

Roe v Wade was still around when all this oppression nonsense started so don't act like that was the catalyst lol. And yeah the justice system is broken and the wealthy get away with crimes. More news at 11.

I don't believe this happens that frequently to any one woman at all. Is it a general experience of women? Yeah I would say so. Is it usually a threat like your are suggesting? Nah I would need to see actual data on that. Majority of women I've heard being the issue up so talk about the underlying fear they feel, but focus on the objectifaction because there wasn't an explicit threat.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:12 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 05:08 PM

Nah I'll tell them whatever I want to tell them, just like they have no problem telling me and men in general all the ways we need to change for the better. You guys have a lot of work to do, too. That's what you're blind to.

By all means provide some actual evidence instead of anecdotes.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:41 PM

But it's not because of systemic sexism or any boys club keeping you down. Make better choices. The only thing that makes sense is the motherhood penalty, but I also get an employer's perspective on that because it's their place of business and it's harder for them to accomodate mothers and that is just a harsh reality that is noones fault.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:37 PM

I asked where you are from. You should not be going on a date with anyone you think feels entitled to your body. If you are on a date with such a person, you should pay for your own meel regardless of their entitlement, because you can. You should leave immediately. You should block them after. And, most importantly, you should stop complaining about this and just handle it like most people do.

There is no radicalization necessary. You get there all on your own, most of you. And even excusing misandry is a bad sign. "Oh I didn't choose to be a misandrist, the bad men made me that way" lol. Again, your one example is not the whole or even a significant part. What you're describing is an actual threat and you should have reported it to the police. Most catcalling is just "wooh baby!" and yeah to that I say who cares get over it buttercup.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:15 PM

I think women have been conditioned to feel way more frightened and uncomfortable and oppressed than they are. With regards to the danger of random criminal victimization, it's called the fear gap and it's been studied.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:15 PM
1

Nobody is saying you can't feel however you want, but I still think you're wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:14 PM

Yeah that's BS. Women are doing very very well now and outperforming men in many areas. There is no excuse. You enjoy 2026 privilege but pretend like your are experiencing 1950's oppression.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:13 PM

Where is that?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:11 PM

Lol I don't even know what you're saying here.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:11 PM

Again, I don't really care. Do you know how rare it is for anyone, women especially, to be subjected to random criminal violence? Most of the danger to women comes from men they are already in relationships with.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 03:10 PM

You aren't either lol I don't even think this happens often
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:44 PM

Idgaf unless something serious actually happens. And I think more and more people are starting to think that same way because they are tired of the same old woe is me narrative from women. Let's not pretend women today have any quams about making men uncomfortable lol. It's almost a point of pride for some women at this point. The worst shit I've ever heard people say has come from the mouths of women when they reject a man's advance. And I'm talking when he's been pretty respectful in his appro…

Just don't go on dates with men you think are entitled in this way. And if you feel like you are on a date with one, leave before you eat a whole meal on his dime and don't ingentionally order more food to teach him a lesson you clearly don't think he's capable of learning anyway. Have some dignity and just leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:36 PM
1

So what?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:34 PM
1

I don't even understand why you are on a hypothetical date with somoene you feel thinks this way. What you don't realize this guy feels entitled until the bill comes? This really doesn't make sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:33 PM
1

Jfc just pay because you should and it's fair. You are making excuses not to act like a grown adult. I promise you most men in 2026 do not think paying the bill entitles them to anything, even a second date or the privilege of being the only man currently paying for the woman's meals.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:31 PM
0

Lol this right here is the biggest indicator of female privilege in this area, imo. Just no knowledge of the actual cost. And the same goes for the effort to initiate and keep things interesting in dating. It reminds me of that arrested development episode where Michaels rich spoiled socialite mom tries to guess the cost of a banana. "Ten dollars?..."
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:29 PM
4

Omg the "labour" of having a meal and paying for it with your own money lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:24 PM
1

That's juvenile and throws any credibility to your point out the window. Now, you're just acting like a brat who needs to make some kind of point instead of a person who cares about the behaviors you talk about.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:22 PM
8

How about just paying for half because you are presumably a grown person who should be able and willing to do that anyway? I think any guy, especially now, who thinks paying means he is entitled to sex, is stupid. And, tbh, I don't even think the vast majority of men think this way and it is more of a straw man than anything. But if you get defensive, angry, or even get the "ick" when a man expects you to to take care of yourself in 2026, then that's a you problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:19 PM
6

Men aren't oppressed in the west and neither are women. Let's not pretend that this attitude men have where they think they are oppressed wasn't preceded by decades of women saying women are oppressed even when they really weren't anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:14 PM
-16

I think we just shouldn't care that much when women are uncomfortable. You guys have started to act like anything that involves discomfort or pressure is some societal problem men are responsible for. Catcalling, mental load, etc. Catcalling just means someone was rude to you. Just get over it like the rest of us do when something like that happens. The irony is complaining about those small potatoes just makes it less likely people will care about your real struggles.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:12 PM

I'll say it. Who cares? Nobody should. Stick and stones and all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:06 PM

The majority of men are neither wealthy nor powerful. This is kind of a BS patriarchy argument. I've noticed progressives tend to lean on these when they actually have nothing to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:06 PM
1

I agree though it's just it's not coercion. Coercion involves force or the threat of it and the situation in question does not involve that. So it's not coercion. Nobody said you aren't free to tell someone off if you are being annoyed, but being annoyed is not being coerced.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 03:29 PM
1

Stop using coercion so flippantly. You're talking about persuasion. Coercion removes another person's agency or free will. It involves force. Somebody pestering you isn't coercion and it never was. You have the ability to consent or not consent throughout. A little bit of pressure in a social setting doesn't mean you are being coerced. Yeesh.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 03:17 PM
2

What is the percentage of men who react to rejection with violence? Compared to men, women aren't rejected nearly as often. But this is with respect to rejection in the courtship stage as opposed to in longer term relationships where it's likely more even.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:50 PM
5

I was a frequenter of bars and clubs for many years and the worst rejection reactions I witnessed were from women. It ranged from horrible insults (often homophobic) to destruction of property and phsyical violence. In fact, the only physically aggressive rejection reactions I witnessed over the years were from women.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:37 PM
2

wild take when women get killed by men for rejection all the time. the opposite happens way less often. But if men are overwhelmingly in the position to be rejected (because they initiate most of the time), then that would affect the statistic. OP already explained this.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:35 PM
3

No, from what I've read men want to be the man women break their own rules for.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:31 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:48 PM

I don't think not sleeping with her was an option lol. How would she have reacted if he said no? Did you see how she reacted when he tried to just get out of bed? But he slept with her once after learning her real consciousness was trapped and I do think that was a mistake, but no Bear isn't a rapist and you are no good with film analysis lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:46 AM
1

Actually is the rest of society's problem, hence why we've written laws regarding it. Your words.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:44 AM
2

You spoke of laws. The law decidedly does not consider those actions actionable, meaning consent was not vitiated. This is why you can't charge or sue someone for lying about their feelings or making false promises or asking repeatedly for sex, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:18 AM

Moving the goalposts. The ethics of it is not in question lol.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 09:07 PM

Someone badgering you or you feeling just any kind of pressure where sex is concerned is not the rest of society's problem and should not be policed. You can still consent or not consent. Your agency isn't gone. Persuasion can be annoying and mean, but nobody forced you in the situations I described.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 07:07 PM
4

I don't subscribe to the the relatively new idea that badgering someone is coercion or a psychological manipulation tactic. No, consent is present no matter how many times a person is asked. It's present even when a person deceives someone about their intention or feelings in order to have sex. People are getting very confused over the difference between persuasion and coercion, and also between legal and ethical transgressions. I think it's an active effort to expand the scope of "rape", person…

Bear didn't know the wish would work; he thought it was a stupid novelty store item. He can hardly be blamed for making a stupid wish that a girl would love him. After that, there is nothing he can do to change the situation besides kill the girl or commit suicide. That doesn't sound like rape to me lol. And it's very clear to me that Bear is playing the part of an abused partner in a possessive relationship throughout the whole movie. He can't leave. He lives in constant fear and agitation of w…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 12:54 PM

I don't care what the actress thinks or what your male friends think. Bear only becomes aware that Nikki is trapped after the wish, and there is nothing he can do about it by that point. FFS, once he knows he's terrified and he has no choice but to stay with her for fear she will freak out. He's as trapped as she is by that wish. And yes he's still selfish, but he is no rapist. If the point of the film was to show he is, then I actually think the writing is quite bad considering he's such a symp…

It still matters which fisherman you listen to, I think that's what people forget. But, generally, I do think sexually and/or romantically successful men give better advice about how to be successful than women (in general). I think many women just say what they think they are supposed to say, which can be pretty useless sometimes if a man just wants to get a date or have casual sex or maintain a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 02:06 PM
1

Without knowing the broader context, I think the general idea that left wing progressive pathologization of maleness and masculinity is indeed helping to make it worse for women and people overall. Much of the rhetroic from modern feminists just alienates men, often intentionally, and as such it will never win any over or lead to any genuine healing for anyone.

I'm not accepting your label. Being a creep is not morally justifiable. It's not ethically justifiable. But it's not assault. It's not rape. It's not even "rapey". And the harsh truth is that people don't deserve some kind of protection from it and it's dangerous to suggest they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 01:50 AM

Well the people who made the study must have had an idea too, don't you think? Keep in mind also that I have no way of asking any of these people.

If you can tell me how the bringing a female friend thing plays out after a rejection, you'll be able to answer that for the both of us lol
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 12:27 AM
1

And that's really the point of all this I think. To expand the definition of rape to spare women from hurt feelings born of their own consentual acts. If consent isn't vitiated, there was no rape. There is only regret for decisions made with agency. What you are doing is so insulting to anyone who is actually a victim of sexual assault. Gross.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 11:51 PM
1

Doesn't make it rape like so many people like to claim. Lying is bad, but people will do it. Don't trust people so easily. If you do, then you're also at fault. Take some accountability. When someone tricks you, you also get tricked. It's easy to say it was all someone else's fault, but you allowed yourself to be tricked. By the questions on that survey, I've been coerced into sex with more than one woman. I know they aren't nice women. Period. End of story. On with life.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 11:48 PM

Several studies did broaden the scope to include women and yes indeed a shit ton of them use the non physical tactics in these questions. But you'll never see that in a headline.

Oh and I looked it up and when the parameters of these studies are broadened to include women's responses, the number for women who would count as having coerced someone into sex is about even with men. It only skews men when it comes to physical force or the threat of it. So most sexually active women are also coercive when it comes to sex and do many of these behaviours on male victims.

Worth it to note that there have been several studies of this nature over the years, and when the parameters are broadened to include women's responses (or men's accounts of coercive behaviours used on them), the numbers show that a significant amount of the non physical coercive tactics listed in the questions are done by women as well. Women get guys drunk to fuck them. Women lie to men to fuck them. Women evade an initial "no" with guilt and shaming and other manipulative tactics. Over 50% of…

In a perfect world noone would. It would also be nice if people stopped stealing, scamming, bullying, etc, etc. It's just not going to happen. And two of those things are actually illegal, as opposed to the behaviour you want to curtail.

Categorically, most of them are not. Unless there are very low levels of coercion that aren't legally or even very socially actionable and we should just call it not being a nice person lol. Coercion lol gtfo.

The point is that the people he's taking about are using this study to make their point (which is just a big effort in stereotyping) and a guy only had to answer yes to one of those questions to be lumped in with the rest. Hell, when I was younger, I definitely did some of my flirting when I could purposefully talk to the woman 1 on 1 and if you think I'd consider myself "coercive" for that then you're high off your ass. It was smart because I actually got a chance to talk to her instead of just…

A lot of women do too. I don't see why it matters at all in the case of a lot of those questions, honestly. You want a world where nobody ever feels pressured about sex? Good luck. It's not possible. What will we do? Jail anyone who pesters their partners for sex, who get drunk with people and ends up hooking up, who isn't entirely honest about their character or intentions?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 09:40 PM

"Told her what she wanted to hear" If you are lying to someone about wanting a future with them or whatever just to get sex that is a violation of consent. Actually, that kind of deception does not vitiate consent to the act of sex. You can easily looks this up. It's hurtful, of course, but it doesn't make a woman unable to consent to have sex. She just trusted someone and they didn't live up to it. Lol you already lost your argument, when you are constantly begging someone to have sex with you …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 09:36 PM

I don't think they can do a lot of it as good as men, most of them. But practically none of them want to anyway. It is what it is. And you haven't addressed this whacko idea that, whether they can't or won't do them, or both, it's somehow wrong for men to want to sleep with women as a consequence lol
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 07:27 PM

Yeah but most violent men don't even consider actually shooting someone else. They might be an abuser but probably won't ever go homicidal. You're not really being reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 06:18 PM
2

Well, women could start doing more of those jobs then. What's stopping them? Lol I can't believe you are suggesting it's some kind of predation happening because of two silmultaneously true things: men do most of the dangerous dirty jobs and the straight ones like sex. Lol what a clown show.

I think I agree with him because I've seen too many women get weak in the knees around a really attractive guy, even when those women claim to be more about personality and even when those men don't have good ones. I think staring is too subjective a concept, as I've seen several women claim a man is staring (in online content and irl) when he really wasn't doing any more than glancing her way more than once. As such, it's stupid to try to police it. I think dressing really sexy, or, for that matter, dressing in any way that makes you stand out, and then expecting not to be looked at, or only looked at in the way you deem appropriate, is very juvenile and self-absorbed.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 03:25 PM

I don't care at all what women choose to wear anywhere, really. But I dislike the ones who dress sexy and get mad at any guy who checks them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 03:17 PM

I think in the case of specific celebrities, that tracks, but it doesn't address the way people think and talk about age gap relationships generally. A lot of that talk is just aasumptions of predatory behavior, like yours. Based on pretty much nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 03:07 PM

I don't really get how you reached this conclusion about the men in question. You poll them all or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 01:59 PM

Exactly. The issue comes from the posturing, the gas lighting. Women are just as shallow as men but a lot of people pretend otherwise.

The first bit is irrelevant to this conversation as we are assuming fraud has been commited already in this hypothetical (we are assuming the man accused of rape is innocent and the woman accused of cheating and trying to get money from someone who isn't the bio father is innocent). Since you can easily verify the claim or show it's false, the penalty should just be whatever the cost of the paternity test is, maybe a small fine more. You can't seriously compare a false accusation of paternity fraud to a false accusation of rape. C'mon.

Yeah no offence but unless you want to share some personal info, I don't even believe you. Why would I trust the word of some random Redditor? BS. What does the law say about consent? That is can't be revoked after it's given prior to a sexual encounter? You're delusional.

It is not creepy for a man to enjoy and desire sex, for him to tell a potential partner that, or for him to decide to find someone more compatible if she doesn't feel the same way. She's just mad (and so are the women who condemn the guy) that she got attached during one date and then he bounced after communicating his intentions BEFORE they slept together lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 09:22 PM

Why would she be in a vulnerable position, exactly? If she consents to sex, then there's no issue. If she does not, and he rapes her, a recording would have no bearing on her decision in the moment.

The guy communicated before the second date. That's plenty early and he isn't bad or wrong for doing it or walking away rather than waste his (and her) time. Once again, her emotional investment isn't his problem. She's not entitled to sympathy dates when they both know they aren't compatible. Cry me a river. Yes, you should assume any man you date wants sex early and often unless he states otherwise. And if you have a threshold of courtship before you'll be open to sex, YOU can just as easily c…

It's not manipulation or deception any more than not putting "I need to everything to be paid for" is. You're naive, just like I said. /r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:23 PM

I'm not advocating for first or second date ultimatums, but he's still perfectly within his reasonable boundaries to prioritize sex. Most ltr couples who do are much happier, btw. So, cry about it but men don't owe women commitment if they desire a physical relationship as well as an emotional one.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:23 PM
1

Yeah that is still silly to call that deception. Maybe people should put those things out there at the start, but they don't because it is a complete romance killer. Anyone who says men should advertise very early on the important they place on sex is being foolish and naive. It's the same thing with a lot of women and princess treatment. They don't advertise on their dating apps or the first date all their icks and specific dealbreakers beyond things like no smokers etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:21 PM
1

No, you're weird way of looking at like some precalculated progression of interest is the issue. It's a fabrication. Men don't generally invest emotion with the intent to blackmail women into sex. But they may reach a point where no sex is a dealbreaker even if they have invested emotionally.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 05:17 PM
1

What I'd like is a breakdown of the data that shows how often women are assualted, attacked, raped by men they barely know vs men they are already in an established relationships with. And I'd like clear definitions about what constitutes such an infraction because lots of times something silly like having drank alcohol or asking to have sex more than once gets lumped in with very serious offences like forced penetration.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 03:39 PM
0

BS. Of course men show affection and give attention and love when they like someone. That doesn't mean they are deceptive creeps because they aren't satisfied with a sexless relationship. Men owe women exactly as much affection and attention as women owe men sex, which is zero. You're view is entitled.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 03:36 PM
0

No, he's not being manipulative. If she likes him and doesn't want to lose him, she needs to be open to sex. It not, he is free to find someone who wants that. Yeah, her feelings will get hurt, but thems the breaks.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 02:10 PM
0

Is the recording the problem or giving the ultimatum? I don't understand why the woman can't just be expected to give an answer and let it be done with. Who cares if she is recorded if she's honest? Nothing stops her from revoking consent at any time. Presuming he would not rape her if she did change her mind, what would be the harm in her response having been recorded?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 02:08 PM

I'm not asking to be antagonistic. I think I s a fair question given the information you are sharing. There are misleading studies out there, like the North Dakota article that gets shared around where it a man asked for sex twice once in his life he could be counted as coercive, and sociologists and psychologists have pointed out methodological errors and they largely get ignored and that results in, well, fear mongering, basically. I am not saying you are wrong. I'm questioning the data, which…

I'm not sure I'd be upset by it without knowing precisely how the therapist is going about using it in a therapy session. But I can tell you that, at the first sign of my therapist heading down a road where problems are attributed to masculinty or patriarchy or maleness, i would be gone. That shit is ideological and I have nothing to gain from listening to a sermon about the sins of my brothers and fathers every week.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 10:59 PM

If you're only going by looks, ok I'll agree. But it's also shallow to like someone for their money or status. And I also think the looks differential isn't that widez even though it's true men are more into looks on average. Women still fawn over hot guys. I think it's not so much that that is a problem or unexpected, but so many progressive minded women act like they are above it, like personality is more important to them, and that's kind of bullshit.

Are we talking intimate partner violence? Because that doesn't really apply to the first whole of dating, courtship. So, I'd say the concern over strangers is unwarranted from your previous point.

If if if... but we know there was no if and he couldn't free her without murder or suicide. You don't know how the whole story would have played out in your fantasy version. Bear did not knowingly trap her and he didn't want her to remain trapped. I have to reeatch the phone call to see if he hears Nikki screaming before or after he thinks about amending the wish because that would matter too.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 12:03 PM
1

It is on his mind for like a second before he asks to cancel. You're with the person you love the most and they're acting strange and wanting to go back to the way it was during the honey moon phase is perfectly normal. It's just another symbol for this in the film. People in toxic relationships will remember the good old days before the problems and use that memory to rationalize. That doesn't make them coercive or evil or rapists.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 02:00 AM
1

Nobody said he isn't selfish. But he's not evil. He's not a rapist. He doesn't have the ability to just end the wish or leave and let Nikki be. He sleeps with her once after that phone call and it feels like he's afraid or her. He's not like "yes I have control over her, fuck her ability to consent hahahaha!"

I'm not saying her brainwashing, her being not her actual self, is good at all. I think it mirrors how love can be toxic irl in that it can trap you, as it traps both of them. Bear doesn't do anything to Nikki. He is as cursed as she is. At first, Bear absolutely revels in his new relationships with Nikki. And yes he definitely does lie to himself about it being real. But he asks the guy on the phone because he sincerely doesn't know it isn't. It's pathetic that he let himself believe it was, bu…

The guy suggests the love is real whether she chose it or not. He doesn't say it might be real. He says just because you chose it for her, doens't mean it isn't real. I agree it's about Bear's love. But he's not a coercive rapist. Not by a long shot. Not if everything behind the psychology of those crimes is true. Bear doesn't fit the profile. His love is what destroys him, and Nikki is just another device the film uses to showcase abusive relationships, controlling and toxic partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 08:39 PM

Who asked you for statistics on sexual assault? You just responded that way because I used that analogy. The point , which has gone over your head, is that your anecdotes don't prove anything. I never said I'd prove to you that misandry is widespread in any way, shape or form. You pivoted to that after I called you out for using ancdotes.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 08:36 PM

At least I haven't added sexist generalizations
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:15 PM
1

No I wasn't talking about your evidence for sexual assault lol I was talking about your evidence for the claim that misandry isn't pervasive. You assumed that based on the men in your life. Anecdotal. You don't know it isn't widespread. Don't make this about me having to provide evidence it is just because you have some statistics about sexual assault.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:14 PM
1

I am not the user who made any claims about misandry. I simply said you not knowing any men who voice concerns about it or that they've been hurt by it is no more evidence that it is isolated than my example about sexual assault against women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 04:22 PM

I'm not an expert and neither are you. You generalized unfairly. You could just admit it and that it came solely from personal bias. It's not that uncommon for people to do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 04:21 PM
1

You said the "men in my life". That isn't a statistic. The statistics you shared are about a women's issue, not the men's issue of misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 04:07 PM
1

Again, if I use your logic, I can say that sexual assault of women is also isolated. The lesson here is that anecdotes are not evidence and neither sexual assault or misandry are isolated things.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 04:04 PM

Yes, you're using anecdotes. They are not proof of generalized behaviour amongst certain group of people. So, the men you chose did that. Single father's are not looking for free daycare when they want to date lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 04:03 PM

The reason why this is unattractive, is because usually, those men look for women TO specifically look after their child(ren) whenever they are with the dad (him). This is obviously a huge turn-off! You have no way to show this assertion is anything but conjecture lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 03:51 PM
1

The men I see every day in reality do not have any of these experiences you are reporting, indicating the phenomena you report is very isolated/not widespread. Your comment, word for word
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 03:43 PM
1

You said none of the men you know suffered or complained about misandry so it must not be a big deal, pervasive. I simply used your own logic against you. Because if I thought that way about the sexual assault of women, WHICH I DON'T, I wouldnt even acknowledge there is a problem to begin with. You dismissed men's issues using anecdotes. That was your mistake.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 03:16 PM

Doesn't matter. They wouldn't tell you. Just like you're saying my friends have been sexually assaulted but aren't telling me. Assumptions suck, kiddo.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 02:30 PM
1

The man on the phone tells him it's real. Obviously Bear noticed the changes and the freakiness. He just doesn't let himself really see it until it's too late. Hence why the film is about letting love lead you into a terrible partnership that hurts everyone involved. People do that all the time irl.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 02:29 PM
8

Or maybe you are just as naive and clueless as you insist I am lol. See how the game of conjecture doesn't serve us here? Your anecdotes aren't proof of anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 04:00 PM
12

Funny how you are comfortable making that assumption, but also the men in your life must be always be completley open about misandry they've experience. 1 in 9 men have been made to penetrate, btw. Turns out there a ton of women out there who are also rapists and creeps.

Anecdotal. I don't know any women who have been sexually assaulted. So, does that mean it's isolated and it isn't widespread?

Exactly my question lol

Yes, of course. But the guy still affirms that the love is real. You can't get around that. So, why doesn't Bear talk to her then when the guy offers? Because he's lying to himself still. And when he finally does talk to the real Nikki, that's when he stops lying to himself. Rape is about power and control and Bear never wanted that over her. He actually cared if it was not real love but allowed himself to believe it was real because he wanted it so badly. I'm not saying Bear isn't flawed. But h…

He believes it because he wants it to be real. Why would he ask the guy on the phoen if he didn't think on some level it is real? That would make no sense. Then the man affirms the idea that it's real. He asked to alter the wish because he doesn't want to lose the love but also doesn't want Nikki to keep being psycho. And he is immediately told he can't alter it so he says ok well cancel it and then is immediately told they don't do that either. Think about it. Why would he ask if it's real if h…

Yes he wanted for her to still love him, but act not psychotic. That was clear. But his convo with the the guy clearly shows he is still under the impression that her love is real. He asks the guy and the guy says just because you chose it for her doesn't mean it isn't real and now you have an obligation to be with her. Bear does not believe the love isn't real at that point. He doesn't allow himself to accept his gut feeling. And to be fair that is a huge failing on his part. The film is trying…

Bear never wanted control over Nikki lol. He never even objectified her; he loved her for her personality (being the one who called him when he was in distress, giving the money to the homeless man). He never wanted control, even when he made the wish. This movie is an allegory for toxic relationships and the way we lean on the concept of love in unhealthy ways; it's not about consent or shy guys being in any way culpable in toxic masculinty or whatever femslop you can throw at it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 06:18 PM
3

Oh y ah I agree about that. But I don't think it matters. Bear made a wish like he'd have wished in his head without any novelty magic trinket. I wish she'd love me more than anything. He didn't know it was a curse, therefore he isn't responsible for the outcome. When he learns it works, he assumes, naively, that the love is real. The guy on the phone confirms it's real, or can be real and tells Bear he has a moral obligation to be there for the new Nikki because he wished for her and there's no…

Nope. He's operating under the assumption the her love is real most of the film. He does lie to himself for a brief period, he stays with her out of obligation, but he's terrified of her. He sleeps with her once right after the guy tells him the love is real and that he is morally obligated to keep being with her now that the wish has been made. He doesn't sleep with her at all after that. She kills Sarah and that's when he goes to back to the shop. That's when he knows for sure her love is fake…

Nah he's not. He has sex with her once after the phone call, during which he is told the love is real even if she didn't choose it for herself. He is as trapped as she is but he stays out of obligation and because he convinces himself the love is real. Once he knows it isn't, he's crushed. Bear is a fool and a liar. He's not a rapist. Yes he wishes for her to love him. People wish for things like that all the time without willow branches to snap. This is part of the message lol. He doesn't know the wish will be real. He doesnt know until he is as trapped as she is. Nikki isn't a villain, but neither is bear. Love, obsessive love is the real villain. And I strongly disagree about what you say about sympathy for Bear because he's a guy. If we gender flipped this film, no woman would be saying he is the victim and if any did the…

He didn't sleep with her after that at all though. He didn't even want to be in a relationship with her, but he also couldn't deal with the idea that she doesn't actually love him because he wants it to be real. During the phone call to the willow company, the man even talks about how Bear has an obligation to stay with Nikki after the wish. He literally uses the words moral obligation. It couldn't be any more clear. Bear stays not out of some kind of misgynistic selfishness; he stays because he…

I think that love is very much an outside force, though. Or, at least, it's something people cant consciously control so it might as well be an outside force . Even people who leave their toxic partner still often pine for them, miss them, miss the love they felt of believe they felt. I truly believe this movie is about love and how it can be very toxic for all involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 04:55 PM

No I don't believe rapists are the victims of love. But Bear isn't a rapist. The only time he's happy being with Nikki sexually is before he knows her love isn't real. That little honeymoon phase when the red flags are small (so like to real life toxic relationships). By the time the unconscious Nikki asks him to kill her, he already knows it isn't real but, understandably, he can't bring himself to kill her or himself at that point (who would?). He asks "what's so bad about being with me" becau…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 04:52 PM

Oh shut up. That's not what it's about. Ian is more a villain than Bear, honestly. Bear is the victim of love and the tendency to rationalize away red flags and abuse in relationships, as are all the victims in this story. Bear isn't selfish for making the wish or trying to make the best of the situation once he knows the magic is real. He's the victim of love and obsession.

Nah you're confused by the phone call scene. Yeah he still wanted her to love him and the guy on the phone says "just because you chose it for her, doesn't mean it isn't real" so he's under the impression (probabaly because he's so desperate for her love) that she really does feel love for him. But when he knows it isn't real, he is crushed and doesn't actually want it. But by that time the only way out is to kill her or himself. He isn't the villain. Nah Bear was a victim just like Nikki. He didn't knowingly curse her and wanted to end the curse immediately upon learning it was real. But that would mean one of them dying. He didn't want to kill Nikki, who he loves and he didn't want to die himself. All people would feel that way and do what he did, which is try to go on and control the out of control situation. Bear was not a villain. The film was not about coercion. It was about staying in a toxic relationship and ignoring red flags because you think love is enough, or that love is all that counts. Think about it. The second Bear actually knows his wish came true, that the magic is real, he wants to make things right. But the only way to do that is for him to kill Nikki or kill himself. That’s quite a shift from “Meta protects women’s groups because of safety” to “AI said it and I wasn’t trying to prove anything.” I really am wasting my time with you as you can't seem to read. I said that the men's groups would likely be taken down, to which the other user said no and a quick google search would tell me I'm wrong. It didn't. It told me I'm right. No, AI made specific claims when I searched. Again (fourth time now), all I was asked to do originally was do a google search, which I did. I really couldn't care any less what you, a different user than who I was talking to, wants or needs in terms of sources. Once more, anything new to add?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 05:42 PM

You can prove a negative in this situation actually because if you did the research you are demanding of me you would be able to tell whether or not what my google search said was true lol. But, like I said, I didn't come here to prove anything. Not to you or anyone else. The only thing I proved was that a cursory Google search does not support the opinion of the other user.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 05:03 PM
1

You're claim is clearly that meta doesn't do that. So, you could provide some credible sources as well, and they'd likely be the same as any I could find, showing the same results. I never said I wanted to get into some kind of "find x studies" to prove my point argument with the other user. I said the male groups would likely be taken down, the other user said a quick google search would show otherwise, so I performed one and it did not show otherwise. If you want more, do your own research.

I am just asking AI through Google, same as you did. From what I've read, the content violations are the same, but particularly Facebook groups for women to do this type of thing get a lot of protection. There are also severe differences in the number of users between female and male variations of these garbage forums. Women have way way more enhancement in them, over 10 million globally, while men are under 200k. So, it would seem that while the standalone apps like tea get taken down (an actua…

Not what I've read. The female ones seem to be allowed to stay up and be more sheltered from legal actions because of the safety excuse so women can have a private space to share critical safety cautions. And I've also read many of them contain similar content violations but are allowed to stay up because of this.

If it's ok for women to have such forums, it should be perfectly ok for men to have them. Plenty of women already disincentivize women from having sex and relationships with men. So, we should probably be addressing that first, no? But let's not pretend you care about these men who are lonely and want more sex and relationships. You don't. That's just a cover for the real reason you don't like them having their own petty gossip forums, which brings us back to the double standard I talked about and the rationalization. That's not punishment lol. You're pretending it's punishment for men to discuss what you were like. Delusion. You have just highlighted the double standard and rationalization for the female versions (it's all about safety and finding out if the man is seeing more than one woman). What's wrong with men telling other men that some woman is bad in bed, anyway? They'll figure it out for themselves anyway.

The problem with both versions of such sites is abuse by disingenuous users. Women will spill fake tea to hurt a man who hurt them. Men may do the same, but also share lewd and private shit (women probabaly do that too, but a lot less). Neither is acceptable because of the lack of oversight and accountability. But, considering just how they are intended to be used, there should be no double standard. Plenty of women string men along while they date other men too.

This movie was not thematically about rape or even coercion. It was about staying in a toxic relationship, ignoring red flags and believing you are meant to be with one person even if they are abusive. The protagonist is not the villain. abuse and manipulation from someone with far more life experience and at a complete different stage of life happens far more often than not Do we know this, though? Nah I've never seen a man rejected after shooting his shot then getting violent. I've seen guys be mean and hurl insults. But, like I've said, I've seen women do that way more often. Actually, the only ones I've ever seen get phsyical in those situations are women (slapping and throwing drinks). But usually the guys dealing with those women just laugh it off because the women aren't doing much damage. Other women I've seen jump straight to pure homophobic remarks.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 07:54 PM

It's not that I think the most extreme cases of reactions skew female. Of the times someone has been rejected and reacted with violence or threats of violence, I'm sure it skews male, in fact. It's just that does not happen very often in either case. But reacting with insults or throwing a drink or just getting really verbally upset, I've seen far more women do it.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 02:49 PM

In my experince, women handle rejection much worse than most men. This ranges from just feeling sad about it to actual violent responses. But I am talking about rejections strictly from first time encounters, not a situationahip or something like that fizzling out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 01:32 PM
-1

Yeah it sucks when people do that, doesn't it? You should tell more women to stop doing it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 01:01 PM

I just don't think it happens anywhere near as often. Any approach where you actually show interest and try to actually make a move requires a great level of confidence and the knowledge you will likely be rejected (well, for guys anyway). Lots of women just aren't very good at handling that. And, despite the popular narrative, women tend to handle rejection waaaay worse than men, from what I've witnessed over the years. The more conventionally attractive they are, the worse they handle it, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 03:45 PM

Men can reject women upfront, sure. But that requires the woman to have stuck her neck out in the first place. Most don't.

I mean I just explained why I think they don't in the comment above. When women say they want any quality in a partner, it means they want it from a man who they would already date or have sex with. A lot of people hear that and say "well of course why would she consider someone she wouldn't have sex with?" and completely ignore that this just shows that confidence was never a very serious deciding factor. Women respond romantically to confidence displayed by men they are already physically attracted to. There is no amount of confidence that will offset her physical icks. That's just a lie they tell (probably more to themselves than other people). The super confident average guy usually just gets friend zoned because he makes her feel good about herself with his vibe but the second she thinks he seriously wants to fuck, she's out.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 11:04 PM

Yeah well no one is arguing men aren't more prone to physical expressions of aggression. There is also the fact that these femcel women still gain acceptance from society at large while their male counterparts are almost universally detested. That tends to affect the mental health of these individuals in different ways which then leads to what you are talking about.

The question about how audiences would react would be interesting, though. Would they sympathise more if Grace was a woman and forced to go save the world? Probably. But that doesn't mean the film is trying to make a point about men or women.

People who score high on agreeableness are also often doormats and display toxic empathy. I'd rather be able to stick up for myself. Here is an idea: it's 2026 and women are doing very well. Pay for your own meals you broke ass whiners.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 03:54 PM

I think you are rationalizing. Bottom line: if you wouldn't date someone you'd otherwise date because they won't pay for your shit, you're not a good person. Reflect on that.

Sounds the same to me lol

If a spoiled kid feels entitled to their parents money, but the parents say no, is the kid still entitled? Lol Just because you don't get what you want doesn't mean you aren't entitled
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 11:15 PM

Yeah that's the idea. They pay for everything because of some outdated gender role crap.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 11:06 PM

Generally, sure. I'd say, in this particular case, it's pretty one sided lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 10:41 PM
1

Certain things we are all entitled to. Other people's money isn't one of them unless they actually owe us for some reason, like for services rendered. You can call that a dating standard if you like, but you won't escape the label of entitled, because you, for some unexplainable reason, feel that you are. Rationalizing doesn't help your case. You're as free to have that view as the guy who feels entitled to sex after he pays for a meal, but you're both going to be judged and rightly so.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 10:40 PM
1

Your use of the word owe is the issue here. This hypothetical women expects the man to pay even if she knows no man owes her that. Once again, it's a distinction without a difference. She's acting entitled, like a child.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 08:53 PM

I think it's a distinction without a difference. Obviously, the woman who prefers men who pay does feel entitled to that treatment. You're just playing with rhetoric to make it seem less shallow and ass backwards traditionalist lol. Imagine how most women, even the ones who display such entitlement, would react to a man who says "I prefer women who fuck on the fist date and I would most likely never date anyone who doesn't do that" lol but yeah I guess you could just say that's a completely reas…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 08:27 PM

I'm not calling every preference entitlement. Just this one. Because it is. Same as if a man expected sex on a first second or third date.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 08:19 PM
1

Sorry can you give me an example. Because to my mind a shallow portrayal of a blonde woman isn't really comparable to the character of Forest Gump.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:55 PM

I don't see how that removes their agency in the decision lol. You're just making excuses. If a guy wants to pay, he's doing what you say you're don't. If a woman accepts, she's doing what I'm saying. At no point did I say men should still be offering or that they didn't behave like you suggest. So, are they forcing women to have their shit paid for?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:54 PM

It's pretty shallow.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:34 PM

And?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:33 PM

Let's circle back to OP's point regarding entitlement lol. Maybe he used the wrong word and selfish or greedy would serve better.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:10 PM

I tend to agree. It's like they all know about this tradtionka gender role expectaion, they all aknowledge it exists, they all readily say that are willing to split the bill, yet so many of them still try to defend not following through on that. Oh the inviter needs to pay (convenient considering the other traditional expectations about asking people out and also why?). Oh some guys are going to offer anyway to compete. So what, you have to accept the offer? Cognitive dissonance at it's finest.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:06 PM

No one should be surprised to begin with. It's 2026 and women are independent, aren't they? Why would the invited decline if he asked to split the bill beforehand when she would have accepted if he didn't ask? Hmmm?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:03 PM

It only gives them the upper hand if women accept the offer though. Like, I agree with the expectations going the way of the dinosaur, but men keep offering and women keep accepting. If either one of them changed their part of it, he would not be able to pay for the date. He would have to force it somehow to make it happen, and I'm pretty sure if you, as an individual, insists the restaurant split the bill, theyll do that instead of acquiescing to his demand that he covers the whole bill. Truth …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:02 PM

Why don't we just assume it's 50/50 from the start, though?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:35 PM
2

This is the way.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:34 PM

It's an outdated tradition and it absolutely is entitlement to accept that tradition instead of challenging it just because it benefits you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:33 PM

BS. You also said yes to the date, so it's also on you. The date doesn't occur if only half the parties agree to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:32 PM

Kind of a cop out though. If a man wants to pay, insist you go 50/50. Why can't you do that?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:31 PM

Case in point what? What value does your anecdote have in this discussion if you feel all anecdotes are unverifiable and not to be believed. If I was going to generalize women on here based on this one conversation id say "why do women on here make nonsensical, hypocritical arguments?" Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 02:57 PM

Why are you using me to generalize all men on here? And yeah you made a point to say you have no proof about my claims, right after you made your own claims which also have no proof lol.

I don't even know what you are saying. Humans are the most intelligent? Women are? Men are?

Doesn't seem that way because you expect me to believe your comment was deleted for some bs reason but denied the same thing has happened to me. That's called being a hypocrite. Politicians are elected but they aren't forced to enter the race. Women don't choose to enter that arena nearly as often as men. Hence, there will be less of them who are elected. Claudia Goldin already proved there is no boys club keeping women down in the workplace and that the wage gap has been entirely exaggerated and blamed on rampant systemic sexism (which is false). She won the Nobel prize for her work on this. Trump beat those women because they failed in their campaigns, not because of …

Western society is absolutely biased toward women. Try talking to women about ideas that go against feminism in some way. You'll find yourself labelled a pick me enemy pretty damned quick lol. Mysoginy and misandry are both big problems, but let's not pretend the latter isn't defended and explained away as necessary practically all the time. You can, but a bunch of assholes will give you a hard time about it. This is the reality for anyone who doesn't swallow every drop of progressive Kool aid these days. I agree with plenty of progressive and feminist talking points, but that isn't even considered because I will openly disagree with the stupid or clearly bigoted or hypocritical ones and that goes against the mainstream narrative.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 12:49 PM

This is why egalitarianism is superior to feminism in every way. Also, what do you mean you fall closer to the misandrist side? You hate men?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 12:40 PM

This is just pure sexism and it's also majorly gender essentialist. I might agree that if we lived in some lawless society where nobody was socialised to be good, more men would be bad. But so too would more women. Women are not more emotionally stable, intelligent, or virtuous than men, as a collective.

Other than Temple Grandin, I'm struggling to think of a film that is even about a developmentally disabled woman. I certainly can't think of one that plays it off as a joke. They don't make those kinds of movies and any male character seen to be taking advantage of such a female character would be universally hated by women.

The only thing different about it is that men complain about that because women bitch about not being equally represented in practically every role that is about leadership and success (politics and corporate) lol. Seriously, I've never heard a man doing hard labour complain about women not doing it unless some woman complains about female representation first.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 11:49 AM

It often gets criticized as a dismissal of women's concerns, unfortunately. But I think it's just high time we addressed all this fear mongering surrounding the unknown man. The known man has always posed a far greater risk. And, of course, individual women must make their own decisions about caution in any situation and the dont owe anyone anything EXCEPT to stop perpetuating these stereotyoes at large. I think there are productive ways to guard against trafficking and sexual assault, even from…

This does not show anything about women doing the same jobs being paid less than make counterparts with the exact same level of experience and qualifications. It's just another article that uses the 'women make x cents on the dollar compared to men' which falls prey to the same wage gap criticisms involving accounting for hours worked and duration of employment. Once again, if men generally work more hours and for longer than women, it makes sense they are paid more in aggregate data sets.

Alright if it's well documented, I'd like to see your sources on that. It's been illegal to discriminate in that way for a long time. I have real doubts your situation is happening much especially since Claudia Goldin's work shows it doesn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 02:15 PM

That's not what I'm seeing. I'm seeing that the statistics factor in domestic violence that isn't even sexual in nature, like choking and even forms of psychological aggression and it also considers stalking. Can you link the report, please?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 02:32 AM
1

These aren't my arguments. They come from sociologists and other experts. They aren't criticizing the statistic for no reason, you know. And another major problem is the scope of the definition of sexual assault. Surely you can't believe that the figure refers to 1/2 women experiencing penetrative rape at least once in their lifetime. So, what's at the other end of that spectrum, that continuum of harm, I think they call it?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 01:56 AM

The fear gap is the result of conditioning. Women have been conditioned to view themselves as vulnerable and likely to be victims of men specifically. This has only gotten more prevalent with the advent of social media. Men, conversely, think we are so tough and safe all the time when the opposite is true (even though most of us also don't need to seriously worry about random acts of violence either). And your 1/2 (jeez it's usually 1/3 or 1/4) is also misleading. It changes when you account for…

Because to me, you seem to be saying the fear gap is real but we are just assuming there's no way women are being in any way irrational about it. Seems like you're saying i…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 09:15 PM
1

Can you link the studies, please? The point of the fear gap is that, in terms of fearing random acts of violence, women overperceive the danger women face and men underperceive the danger men face. Poitning this out is often met with harsh attitudes but that kind of supports OP's point.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 09:08 PM

Apparently it's a lot like the wage gap confusion. People who talk about the wage gap neglect to account for things like hours worked and duration of employment. Similarly, the 1/4 rape statistic changes when you account for various socio economic and geographical factors. It may be true if applied globally, though I haven't looked into that. As an example of what I'm talking about, and thist lines up with common sense I think, the people you congregate with regularly (family, friends, coworkers…

That isn't true and if you actually look into it that statistic is misused all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 07:55 PM

How do you know the underreporting is so massive that is invalidates the statistics? As to your question, look up the DoJ studies on the 'fear gap'. If your contention is that the statistics regarding the fear women feel about random criminal violence done by men vs the actual risks they face of that happening are somehow not valid, then you are wrong. You are making assumptions about information you can't even describe the scope of to cast doubt on the verifiable hard data we do have. And the implication is that women actually do face a much greater risk. That is not using common sense or logic.

It's a very small gap determined by individual choices. Dont blame me. Blame the Harvard educated Nobel prize winning feminist who unraveled these lies you believe. You want to say women should be socialized differently so they make different choices? Have at it. But don't lie and blame the patriarchy or anyone else for women's individual choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:12 PM

That could be true for you personally, but statistics don't care about you personally. The stats don't back you up. The perceived vs actual risk fear gap has been studied since the 90's. Women's fear of being attacked by random men is way above the actual risk of that occurring.

Sounds like the law is working for you then lol. And you can choose not to be a mother. And in lots of places, in Canada for example, parents can split generous maternity/paternity leaves but women overwhelmingly still take the lion's share of those leaves. That's also a choice. There is not sexism in that. It sucks that men and women are different biologically, but it's not one gender's fault lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:00 PM

No, the statistics about women being criminally violently victimized by random men do NOT back you up. Lol the tired old hit dogs will holler line. Back up what you are saying or gtfo. You have not argument here but a biased, substanceless opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:52 PM
3

And you have perfectly illustrated the fear gap studies by the DoJ for decades; women fear men they don't know personally significantly more than they ought to and it's purely an emotional reaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:48 PM
1

Women choose their careers and the hours worked just like men do. If you want to argue there is a motherhood penalty, I would agree, but that isn't some intentional force working against you. Women choose to be wives and mothers even if they are socialized to want to be those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:46 PM
3

The point is that the perceived risk is much higher than the actual risk. This is a fact. Try not let your emotions shape your understanding of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:45 PM
9

No, he's right. Look up the 'fear gap'. It's been studied by the DoJ since the 1990's. Women vastly overperceive the danger they face from random criminal violence. Conversely, men underperceive their own risk (they are typically 4-8x more at risk from random criminal violence than women).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:43 PM

What was the outcome? You have just highlighted how that employer, if they are indeed doing what you said, broke the law and that there are clear avenues for redress.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:38 PM

no it doesn't. "wage gap" means men earn more than women. You can explain it by counting the hours worked but you are still left with the question. You are explaining why it happens, you are not saying it doesn't happen. Wtf are you saying here? The wage gap exists in that, when you don't account for those things, only work with averages in those fields, there is a gap. But when you consider one group works longer hours and more years than the other, it makes total sense and is not a justificati…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:37 PM
1

You're wrong about the wage gap. Claudia Goldin, a prominent Harvard feminist, won the noble prize for her almost 30 year study on it and she debunked a lot of femenist myths surrounding it. She found there is still a motherhood penalty and some systemic issues, but there is no boys club keeping women down in the corporate world, for ex. There is no rampant sexism causing women to be making less that men doing the same jobs with the same credentials and levels of experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:31 PM
1

How do you know what men "as a whole" do or don't care about. We aren't a monolith. Maybe you don't care, but most men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:28 PM

As many as there are women who have those qualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 12:37 PM

Boundaries are not controlling. Lots of people think they are, but they are wrong. If my wife was going on a week long trip with a male friend, it would be her choice. How I act afterwards is mine. And actions have consequences. I'd communicate how it makes me feel and that I'll likely be quite resentful afterwards and if she wants to avoid that she knows the right decision to make.

I actually think you're right and that being genuinely authentic makes you stand out. Even if your authentic self is an asshole. Yeah it is and arguing is very addictive. Like I said, people won't opt out so here we are. What tickles me is that progressives, especially progressive women, seem shocked that their own logic and rhetorical tactics can be used against them. Oh my goodness, you mean I can be called privileged and sexist too!!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 12:05 AM

No, empathy is not actually owed by anyone to anyone else. That's how you'd like it to be. And I think he makes a good point about safety. Why should I have to worry about how some woman feels if she's walking past me at night? Why should I have to intervene on her behalf and put myself in harm's way when the liklihood she would do the same, instead of just calling the police, is quite low?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 11:59 PM

Well, even confining this to sex and dating, you'd have to be ok with men being pick up artists and using deceit (not crossing the threshold of illegality) to get laid. That is one example.

I get that, but don't you realize that there has been constant messaging about male privilege and white privilege for decades? You can't even handle it for the duration of this manosphere shit. Welcome to our world. It doesn't feel good to be called privileged and treated like your opinion is less than or your experiences are less than. But men didn't start this shit with the privilege; women are now being called out for theirs by disgruntled and disillusioned men and that's just the way it is. …

Seems like the broader scope gets brought up a lot when men say women are privileged in certain ways. Hmmmm. I think a lot of you just don't like that label being ascribed to you. Well, it gets applied to us all the time, so deal.

Rape is a legal term. It's not some nebulous feminist buzzword, despite how people like you try to make it so. The law distinguishes between fraud in the factum and fraund in the inducement, so it is categorically not rape if, for example, some guy lied and said he loves a woman just to get in her pants. It is not automatically rape if one or both partners are drunk and have sex. It is not automatically rape if one or both partners doesn't explicitly ask for consent before doing a sexual act. It…

I think, on a personal level, men have even better frienships than women, generally. At least, with respect to some parts of friendship. But it doesn't extend beyond our immediate circle enough.

I think Muslim men, generally, expect their wives to be subservient by nature. And they tend to teach that to their children. It doesn't mean they are not good people, but they legit don't think there is anything wrong with it. Relative to modern Western expectations concerning women's rights and issues, I don't think Muslim families are very progressive, overall. It's not media. I work with families and many of them are muslims.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 04:16 PM

Muslims, for ex, don't really respect women, generally. That is just one way they clash with progressive ideals. The more people raising their kids under such religious or cultural tenants, the worse society is going to be for women, queer people. And Muslims don't shame having kids. They want to get married and propagate. Its not necessarily about whiteness, but your ignoring some very stark realities that will probably come back to bite you if you believe in progressive ideals.

First you tried to make it about sex, trying to invent a contradiction in what I said about first dates being fun and informal. When that failed, you just had to remind me that women aren't allowed to have casual sex, which wasnt something I said and is just an idea that triggers you so you wanted to argue about it lol. So childish. Hope you learn to communicate better down the line.

This may be a sign to take a little step back from Reddit and this sub and get yourself some fresh air. People who look for a fight tend not to be in the best state of mind to think clearly. I mean your second paragraph is extreme and definitely not common, but yes men express their aggression in physical ways that woman really haven't ever been able because of the diffeence in physical prowess between men and women. Women practice relational aggression almost exclusively.

It usually helps to gender flip this kind of thing to see how it actually sounds to the person being asked. I think in this day and age asking a woman on a first date "what man do you admire?" would be off-putting to them.

It is, but that doesn't mean sex shouldn't be a priority. If you give up, that's disrespecting your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 04:15 PM

Why would it be on me if we are at that point? Here's an idea. If you start withholding sex from your partner for no damn good reason, then YOU leave. Don't wait for them to resent you lol. And don't be surprised if they don't want to go through the nightmare of divorce and end up cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 04:05 PM

Lady, it's not being said because anyone wants to wash their hand of anything. It's just the truth. You're stereotyping.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 04:03 PM

Of course, and there is a legitimate excuses I would not cheat. If she's punishing me or something, well that's a different context isn't it?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 03:54 PM
2

What do you mean you can't call out everyone? Seems like you are tryinf to rationalize generalizations and stereotypes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 02:33 PM
2

Just don't generalize. You can call out as may individuals as you care to. Most men aren't like that. If we find it funny we will laugh. If we don't we won't.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 02:18 PM
1

Yeah and it she said she'd suddenly become asexual 15 years in, I would not have married her or anyone who said that. But nobody predicts that. If she was asexual when I met her we wouldnt have lasted a year. This is exactly why I said context matters here.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 02:17 PM
1

I don't know what you mean. Opt myself out? Who is silencing women?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:22 PM

That's your opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:21 PM

Don't you think I should have had the right to decide whether I wanted to marry someone who would become frigid and asexual?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:18 PM
1

I'd say not most men, actually.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:17 PM
0

Again, what is the context? Why has she taken it off the table? Because though we haven't ever needed to discuss this, I'm sure she's assume I'd be much more likely to go outside the marriage for sex in some contexts than others.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:14 PM
1

You're good to judge the individuals you witnessed, sure. I myself have laughed at many jokes from my female friends and female comedians and I know lots of men who have also. So where does that leave us?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:13 PM

Does she know what?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:11 PM

Happily for almost 15 years!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:07 PM

Then you'll have to be ok with me not just taking your word or their word for it. How could you possibly know that men in general are like this? You can't. All you can do is make assumptions.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 01:06 PM
1

Seems like they too would be making an assumption lol Have you got any reliable statistical evidence? Because I don't really consider you or female comedians to be non biased sources on this issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 12:59 PM
1

Seems like a major assumption.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 12:52 PM

Couldn't you say the same thing to a partner who has given up sexually? Just divorce if you no longer feel like being a whole partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 12:48 PM
1

There is no such thing as an objectively funny joke. Humour is subjective. Like I said, most guys will laugh if the joke is funny (maybe I should have added "to them"). They typically won't care if it's offensive to anyone, even their gender. Maybe those women just aren't telling jokes that those guys find funny. And if they are complaint the joke is sexist, then fuck them because they are as brittle as you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 12:38 PM

That doesn't mean they are offended by the jokes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 12:26 PM

Dunno what that means. I didn't tell a story of any kind.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 07:06 PM

No why would I admit that? They're both respsonsible. It's stupid to mention one without the other if you're blaming people for all the nonsense. Nah no man can be said to have started it, and no woman either. You need to check your bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 06:49 PM

Ill conceded those figures have more followers individually, but there is an ocean of brain rotted feminist or female empowerment influencers online peddling their own inate and sexist opinions. Stop excusing them.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 06:37 PM
3

Well I think the most obvious "trade" would be that both sides stop shit talking about gender online. That right there would end pretty much all of it. If you want something that is a bit more interesting: Women: stop getting mad at being looked at or ogled and sexualized by men, especially if you wear revealing clothing. Men: stop all forms of verbal and physical harassment based on a woman's appearance or presence (catcalling, groping, etc)
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 06:36 PM

It's as much the fault of radfems as any man.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 06:32 PM

I don't think it should amaze you since this is a post you made very recently and people responded the same way then before you were banned and the post deleted.

I already did the last time you posted it.

You and your general unpleasantness. You're just on here to fight, not to debate in good faith. You have already posted this exact thing and had plenty of time to debate about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:37 PM

We will see.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:24 PM

You made dozens and dozens of replies. I read a lot of them. And you're replying the same way here.

God the mods sometimes do get things right, I guess. I hope this one gets deleted as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:21 PM

Lol no and you should already know it isn't from the last time you posted this exact same debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:20 PM

So you just wanted to start the whole thing all over again? Like, c'mon. Ground has been covered and you're even replying with the exact same shit. You haven't learned or changed anything about your position. Why don't you think of a different topic to debate?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:11 PM

Yup she just wants ro fight again

OP is reposting a post she made like a week ago. Same exact thing. She had the same exact arguments with people then. She's just chasing some kind of weird debate kink here. She even shared the same screenshots of the dude asking her to prove she isn't a whale and she kept replying to people with "it should be called manwhore pill" in response to them explaining the PUA aspect of RP. She's already had this discussion with people and she is back for more just so she can argue all over again. Get …

Omg it is you! You made this same post like a few days or a week ago. Didn't get your fill?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:06 PM

... Was it you who basically posted this exact thing like a week ago? You're using the same silly replies "manwhore pill" lol
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:02 PM

You've described more PUA, which is related to RP but doesn't define it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 03:00 PM

Ok then. Have a nice day.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 01:01 PM

Nah most men who say they are straight are straight and you have no reasonable argument to say otherwise. Just delusion. Have a nice day.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 12:47 PM
1

So you're just venting. Got it. That's also your right. It just doesn't matter. They'll do what they want and you don't have to like it. Happy nuclear family month !
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 12:46 PM
1

I mean I've already pointed out how you have made no sense lol using the folrentines as your model for I don't even know what. Using them incorrectly as I've pointed out. How much do you think the criticisms of someone who doesn't know what they are talking about affects me?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 11:39 AM

Lol ok well you're free to think that. All done? Have a nice day!
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 11:37 AM

No this is just you saying a bunch of things you can later disagrees with as if I said them. So what's your plan? How do we stop these awful people from celebrating their heterosexuality? What's next? Or is this just all one big bitching session? What is the point of trying to control something you clearly understand you have no right or abiltity to control? That's what is confusing me here. Everyone knows you don't like anyone who isn't a vulnerable minority expressing any kind of pride. So, wh…

First off, I'm not the user who made the comment about cultural changes, but I do understand why those people are doing it. I don't agree with them about the LGBTQ community and the threat they see in it. They don't like the way another group lives. Period. And I'm vehemtly opposed to them doing anything to actually oppress LGBTQ people. But, unfortunately, I value free expression more than the concerns of one vulnerable group. Sorry if that sounds harsh. But I think the issue here is just that …

I'm not even clicking on the link. We've past the point of trying to have an actual discussion about this. You should have offered some of that when you had the chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 10:42 PM
2

Because not to do so is genetic fallacy. By definition. To be clear, I don't like those people either. But if you flatly oppose the idea just because they are using it for selfish and bigoted reasons, then I don't think you're really being reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 10:41 PM
2

Again, you're focussing on the bad actors. There's nothing inherently wrong with celebrating the nuclear family, even if it's during the month of June.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 10:07 PM
2

An idea is good or bad in and of itself. It doesn't depend upon who came up with it or why. There are bad actors behind every movement or ideology. Judge the idea, not the proponents of it. Or at least dont judge the idea for the proponents of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 09:59 PM

I think it's disingenuous to suggest cishet is "celebrated" 11 months of the year.

Genetic fallacy

/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 09:51 PM

Just because you keep repeating that I am ignoring historical and cultural context does not make it so. I'm not ignoring anything. I just didn't feel the need to outline the history of pride when considering it doesn't matter as to what other groups can say or do during the month of June. And, I think it speaks more to your mindset than mine when you hear someone challenge you and immediately and condescendingly make such claims; you clearly view any contrary view as an attack, on yourself on th…

Violation of sub rules
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 05:59 PM

There is no need to make personal attacks. I asked a simple question and you haven't answered it. You don't have to, but that doesn't make me a moron. Try to show a bare minimum of respect, please.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 05:51 PM

Sounds like an ad hominem. Can you explain or elaborate on the previous point or are we done with rational discourse?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 05:49 PM
1

How is celebrating the nuclear family flooding the zone?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 05:11 PM
2

I'm just going by what you said. I'm pretty sure celebrating the nuclear family, even if it's a cultrural reaction, is not even close to being a Nazi lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 05:01 PM
1

What "zone" are you referring to, exactly? I mean, not directly infringing on someone is good and it's also good that you get to practice free expression so long as it doesn't cross that line? If you want to argue people should not disgree with each other and celebrate values which some (on both sides) find oppose each other, then I don't know what to tell you. Nobody has any obligation to do anything beyond respecting the physical boundaries of the events in question. They can talk about them, …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 04:59 PM
1

Yeah but are they actually going to stop pride events or infringe upon them or is this just separate events? I have a hard time agreeing with any justification for condemning the entire idea as hateful unless some very direct infringment is happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 04:41 PM
2

I mean that seems like a distinction without a difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:54 PM
3

Are you actually comparing the nuclear family to Nazis and white supremacists?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:53 PM
1

I just don't see how it even matters. We all can't start calling dibs on months of celebration. If you don't want to be a part of x,y,z then just don't go. Simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:52 PM

Yes there is and you are a misandrist and no I'm not a misogynist. We can keep going back and forth like this as much as you like. It's no sweat for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:25 PM
1

I'll do what I like, including responding to any messages you continue to send me. You're being just as petty, insisting I can't "get the last word". Now, that's sour. I'm not going to stop replying until you do and likely we will both get warned and maybe even temp banned for slap fighting. So, reply to this if you like.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:23 PM

Nobody's stopping you either. You keep harassing me and I'll respond how I like. I don't care for you at this point and I don't care if you think I'm sour.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:55 PM

He's literally still replying to me
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:47 PM

Thank God. So most men are not violent criminals. Thank you. The light finally broke through the clouds lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:46 PM

Mods, do you think maybe this person has enough warnings about civility to warrant a suspension? Anyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:46 PM

I mean obviously logic went bye bye for this person long before they made this post, if they ever possessed it to begin with
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:42 PM

The vast majority of men dont do those crimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:37 PM
1

I don't deny it. But, like everyone keeps telling you, most men aren't those criminals. You're denying that. Just avoiding the inconvenient truth that shatters your whole perspective lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:37 PM
1

Uhmm it is when you're suggesting all or most men are the way you painted them to be. You generalized without any evidence to back it up. In fact, the evidence we have shows us that most men are not violent offenders.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:24 PM
1

lmao asking "what you expect" after telling me to leave on a debate subreddit. Bro Im fine with you replying. You clearly aren't which is why you were originally just whining for me to "read the room" and leave. All I said is that if you hate Redditors and the typical way they are, maybe don't actively seek interaction with them. I guess that makes too much sense. LOL dude, what part of the vast majority of violent crime is done by men, do you not understand? It doesn't matter if its 7 percent. …
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:21 PM

Your statement is in direct agreement with half of his claim. No, it wasn't lol. I did not say there are rules against your comment. I said that there are rules in this sub against posting a comment that does not challenge the OP view as a base-level comment. Your comment was not illegal, and I didn’t claim it was. What I said was that the context of the conversation so far affects the meaning of your comment. Context is important in a conversation. But I supposed I can believe your claim that y…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:18 PM

Nah nothing really strengthens this obviously misandrist drivel. You could strengthen it by engaging in good faith and aknowledging when you're wrong, though. Too hard?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:15 PM
1

You posted and that is solicitation for replies. What did you expect? And you haven't answered what percentage of men commit those crimes, which is a pretty important part of understanding the statistic. You know very well the vast majority of men don't commit these crimes, but you're on here trolling anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:14 PM

Yes you did. You dont know what you're talking about and every single person commenting is aware of that. Read the room. Also, of you hate Redditors so much (you keep saying "typical redditor") then get off the sub. Nobody is going to miss you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:06 PM
1

I can do this all day and night, hun
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:05 PM

And you've misinterpreted all of them lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:01 PM

How many men commit these crimes? What percentage of the male population?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:00 PM

You didn't mention crime at all in the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 08:56 PM

Likewise!
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 08:55 PM

You are commenting to me as much as the other way around. I noted this has become a slap fight, so feel free to stop.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 08:51 PM
-1

I addressed that you didn't say the g string thing, I just carried your argument to its logical conclusion. And if you really think, operating from our current societal position on modesty, that we would end up like the Victorians, well I dunno what to tell you. If people suddenly were a bit more modest we all wouldn't have ankle fetishes lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 08:51 PM
1

This is not a real argument, imo. "Men can and sometimes do sexualize non sexual body parts and other things, so it doesn't matter if I walk around in a g string". I know you didn't say that bluntly, but it's what it boils down to. Like, c'mon. Clearly there is not hard line as to what men will sexualize, but that doesn't mean sexualization can't be mitigated by modest dress, especially it we limit this to western societies.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 06:42 PM
1

I mean, it very obviously does (not sure if you are just stating it or disagreeing).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 06:39 PM
1

Maybe I'm retired. Maybe I'm unemployed. Maybe I get frequent breaks. What business is it of yours?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 06:30 PM
4

It definitely can. There is a wealth of data to back this up. Start with the International Sexuality Description Project, for ex. It's important to note that there are no absolute rules or designations of morality based on a person's past sexual experience. But, promiscuity and other factors are absolutely one valid predictor of interpersonal dynamics and things like attachment styles and the ability to be happy in long term monogamous relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 05:18 PM
0

Well, they do both actually. Very few women, or people in general, have such strong convictions that they actually do anything besides complaining online.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 05:04 PM
0

Lol no it doesn't negate it at all. I know you feel strongly enough about misogyny to be petty and mean, and also apparently enough to use words like that incorrectly.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 04:47 PM
1

No I was not supporting OP and my comment was nested, which you very well know. There are no rules that say my comment shouldn't have been made in this sub. You have no authority or place to tell me I can't comment like that. I hope that clears this up.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 03:56 PM
1

What does that mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 03:32 PM

What are you basing this on besides clear bias?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 03:32 PM
1

What? Jfc can you read? Anyway this has turned into a slap fight. Seems more like your kind of thing what with the lazy memes and gifs.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 02:23 PM

Good comeback. I imagine your highschool expeience was a doozy.

I'm not OP. Never said it was worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 12:09 AM
1

I dunno. You scathingly critiqued RP, so I did the same for femslop. Why do you care so much lol?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 11:01 PM
1

Sure, because at the end of the day, the left is the morally correct side. The left is the side that uses facts instead of feelings (the people at least). The left is more educated than the right, which creates these discrepancies. I mean, this is just pure conjecture. And saying the left are more educated when the education system favours their views at a systemic level is kind of obvious, isn't it? Look. I'll be entirely honest. Even as a woman I thought the whole social justice warrior thing …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 07:26 PM
1

But the right isn't really the dominant thing at universities. The left is.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 06:55 PM
1

My first comment simply pointed out that femslop is the same as manosphere garbage. So, no I did not defend what you're talking about
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:54 PM
1

I don't disagree with this, but it doesn't really address my point about how imabalnces are viewed. Girls and women get more support, clearly, even in areas where the imablance has shifted in therir favour. Certainly, addressing the way schools work would be central in the efforts to make sure boys and men arent left behind. Despite the existence of alternative programs like forest schools, not much is being done right now. And I also think that higher education spaces are not exactly bastions o…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:50 PM
2

Of course. So is female sexuality. Have you been hiding under a rock for the past several decades? That doesn't mean a significant number of straight men aren't straight lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:45 PM
2

Sexuality is fluid. It's just most straight men are exclusively attracted to women. Your historicls evidence doesn't say what you think it says. It certainly says sexuality can be fluid. But it says nothing about straight men fronting. The Florentines woudn't even know what you mean by straight or gay, not just as words, but as concepts. Young men in that society and time were expected to be passive in courtship and sexual dynamics, older men were expected to be active and they didn't even disti…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:13 PM
1

I didn't say it was worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:07 PM
1

Well, I genuinely misunderstood. I don't even think we disagree except for your idea that matriarchy is unknowable. I still contend it would be much like patriarchy, just with women enjoying the perceived benefits, similar to how men do now. Obviously it wouldn't be the exact same, but it would generally be a system that lifts up women and not men.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:07 PM
2

Lol they are the only ones that exist, so they categorically are not cherry picked. Further, how did Florentines identify as exclusively straight when their society had no constructs or labels of that nature? Your interpretation of that example is an historical anachronism.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:04 PM
2

Lol gotcha. Priceless. Look, you're just wrong. The studies are much better sources than just cherry picking one example like that. You can look it up for yourself. Most straight people are straight. I don't know why that should bother you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:55 PM
1

You clearly favour one over the other or you wouldn't fight so hard to defend the idea that we just can know what a matriarchy would be like. You said it's a gender flipped patriarchy in an earlier comment. So it would be like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:51 PM
0

I don't know who you are talking to. It's not me. I don't follow the manosphere. I just don't sort the same shit into two piles.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:50 PM
2

And how does that one example prove anything about the male population?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:49 PM
2

I never said sexual fluidity isn't real. But the vast majority of straight men are exclusively straight. We have exactly zero evidence that tells us different.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:14 PM
1

Which studies, specifically, are you referring to? And it doesn't matter. Most men who identify as straight are straight.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:08 PM
1

And we can agree you made a point that you didn't back up while we do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:59 PM
1

From the looks of it, it was definitely too hard for you because you haven't provided any form of evidence to support your claim.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:48 PM
1

Can you cite any studies or academic material that supports the idea that women are naturally "smarter" than men to a degree that would result in an imablance in things like university entrance? Do those studies take into account the kinds of educational systems we funnel both sexes into and if they are geared towards one sex or the other, whether they are biased or not? An issue like that isn't as cut and dry and acknowledging that men are innately more physically strong. There are not systems …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:47 PM
1

Ok which studies are "good" then? Or are we just supposed to go along with your "belief"?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:40 PM
2

Well you're ignoring the diffeence between physical sex characteristics and things like policies supporting groups in education. And let's not pretend men aren't punished, socially, for being physically stronger and bigger. It's practically the only reason misandrist talk around sexual assault exists. We all get viewed as potential predators by a lot of women simply because of the natural phsyical prowess we share with the minority of men who commit such heinous acts. That's not public policy, b…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:38 PM
1

Oh so I'm "telling on myself" by disagreeing with your belief. Lol ok then. I know that all the studies they have done show that there are men who identify as straight but, like you say, actually aren't firmly on that end of the spectrum of sexual orientation. But they also show us that the number of men like that is the minority.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:34 PM
1

It's as valid as someone who believes in the Bible and thinks being gay is a sin.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:25 PM
2

Who cares?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:17 PM
3

Depends on what you mean by a lot. Percentage wise, the vast majority identify as straight and aren't just fronting.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:16 PM
2

It's possible for individuals to be better, but no their is no better sex. The point is that when we see an imablance, favouring whoever, we either should work to fix it or not. It shouldn't matter the gender of the people being compared.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:13 PM
-1

Yeah it's not at all about cleanliness for me. It's about character. I find the idea of a sexually indiscriminate partner a turn off, like they had no self control in the time before we met.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:11 PM
4

Lady you're calling men gay for caring about body count. Like, you have no business telling anyone else to make sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:10 PM
9

Lol can we stop calling straight men gay when we don't like their preferences, please?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:08 PM
3

When boys do better than women, in education outcomes, for example, we seek parity, we view it as an unacceptable imbalance that must be the result of systemic sexism. When girls do better, it's "oh that's just how it's supposed to be" lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:59 PM
3

What? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:56 PM
6

Lol and she posts a femslop meme
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:56 PM
1

Femslop is the same but the message just makes women feel like "the prize" or whatever and it basically says all men are garbage whenever dating comes up. Not really that different.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:56 PM
3

The point of femslop is to make money. The empowerment part is just the grift. It's true that some women may feel empowered by taking part in all that garbage, but you could say the same thing about some men and RP/manosphere content.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:54 PM
1

I didn't put any words in your mouth. I expended on what we were talking about and you just got your cage rattled.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:42 PM
1

Well, it does. It just means something you don't like lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:41 PM
2

It would only be mansplaining if I was condescending to you and not just for any reason; it would have to be because you're a woman and despite your knowledge about the subject and despite you not soliciting my opinion. I was polite. I offered my view on a Reddit sub you chose to post on knowing full well people might disagree and offer a different view. So, yeah you don't know what mansplaing is lol

In my experince, the only people who want to compare misandry and misogyny by their outcomes are misandrists and misogynists. Misandry is real. It's wrong. Period. We don't need to even talk about how wrong it is compared to anything else, do we? Just stop doing it.

It would be so nice if they weren't. Or even if the hatred wasn't so easily dessiminated across the globe.

That doesn't negate anything I've said. Not every killing of a woman by a man or men is motivated by hatred of a gender. Not even if a state government is doing what you're saying.

Maybe if you didn't respond like a kid having a tantrum, I'd take the time to read the rest. But you have to give some respect to get some.

I stopped reading half way through your tirade. But I'll just say that I didn't say men and women are exactly the same or that women in a matriarchy would be exactly the same as men in a patriarchy (as if we were a real life version of that braindead Netflix movie, Ladies First). But it would be reasonable to assume certain things, like women would be in public and private leadership positions moreso than men and that policies and laws and the general social dynamic would be seen to benefit wome…

Well I'm just going by my experience, as I'm sure you are, but I have generally seen men, especially recently, not react that way to those pull/push games. I dunno so much about women, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 04:37 PM

We are able to hypothetically talk about matriarchy so it's not like it's opening a fucking mystery door on a gameshow lol And if matriarchy is just gender flipped patriarchy, then we know pretty much how things would go and who would be seen to benefit from such a system. Anyway, I'll remember to respond to all those women saying we should try matriarchy that it's just too much of an unknown to risk it lol. And I never said you are championing matriarchy but it also seems like you'd prefer it t…

That's more about oligarchy. Our struggle is a class struggle and all this gender competition is just a distraction, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 02:19 PM

Well it's not impossible. Is matriarchy the flipped version of patriarchy? Because if it is then it would mean women hold more positions of power, they have more social control and privileges, they are more dominant across pretty much all areas of society. I think there is this myth going around that a matriarchy would save the world because women are just better than men, which, of course, is stupid. I laugh when I see those posts about how elephants are matriarchal so people should be too.

I don't think that's really true, even generally. I guess it depends on what you mean by effort when it comes to the woman (because womens' effort is different than mens' in courtship). Most guys I know absolutely go cold if a woman plays games or plays hard to get. For us, it's a sign that we will be jumping through hoops and it will be a major time and effort sink.

I don't know what you're talking about, but I know it has nothing to do with my point.

It's a word. It's meant to be used lol. And it's fits perfectly in this context.

I disagree. I think constant anti-male messages have a profound effect on developing minds, both male and female. It contributes to depression and anxiety, especially among young men, and promotes and normalizes cruelty and forms of gender essentialism. As for rights, can you tell me which rights men currently enjoy that women do not? The one example I can think of is the reversal of Roe v Wade which makes abortion laws state specific and men don't have any commensurate reproductive rights to be…

Nah just change your algorithm. Out of sight, out of mind. That was your advice about online misandry. Now you're moving the goalposts.

You could just use different terms. Physical aggression = violence. Saying mean words = rudeness. Financial abuse = coercion or how about just abuse? Using the term violence for most of it is basically a tactic to make some smaller issues seem bigger than they are.

Perfectly said.

Nah it's only a valid thing to say if a man or someone else is claiming that misandry is worse than misogyny. But I never hear it or see it posted in that context. It's always a person, usually a man, complaining about misandry and then some asshole comes in with that line to dismiss him.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 01:23 PM

I don't want that. I'm just saying that misogyny does harm and misandry does harm, and the harm misandry does isn't insignificant and we should not be using the excuse that misogyny exists (or the argument that it is worse) to dismiss or condone misandry. I am egalitarian. I decide that. Not you. Now piss off.

Murder is the leading cause of non obstetric causes of pregnant women when you compare to any other single non obstetric cause. But it only accounts for a relatively low death rate among pregnant women if you look at all the causes.

I honestly think you can do both lol like it or not, some people are more attractive to others because of their ethnicity and their nationality. That doesn't mean that it's inherently immoral for them to pair up.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 12:13 AM

We still have some privileges, but women have many of their own nowadays. It's not the case that women are this oppressed group in NA now.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:38 PM

In almost all places in NA, it's 4-8 more dangerous for man when it comes to random criminal violence. Fuck even the domestic violence rates aren't that skewed to women. So, no.

I don't know what you mean but I know that, where I'm from, our government is moving to make every instance of murder done by men to women classified as femicide.

Yeah I wouldn't agree that all those examples are violence. Like financial abuse. I'm not saying it's good. It's just not what I'd consider violence.

I just mean I don't think every time a man murders a woman it's because he hates her for being a woman.

I think violence is physical. It's a relatively new idea that words or silence is violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:12 PM

I agree but I think many more women need to hear this than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:12 PM

This isn't accurate unless you specify that you are talking about causes which are not obstetric in nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:11 PM

Honestly, I don't think all crimes commited by men against women are motivated by gender issues. I think women are often targets, not because of their womanhood, but because of their level of physical prowess. Not the answer you'll like I'm sure, but I do think terms like femicide are disingenuous because they seek to put every instance of violence done to womenby men as an issue of misogyny. Let the downvotes commence.

I think it's more about recognizing that your heritage in certain places is an advantage. It's not one you chose. And when youre not happy in NA because of all the garbage surrounding gender dynamics these days, then I completely understand heading to less troubled waters in search of connection and happiness. You seem to want these guys to be miserable and like it.

I never said I'm oppressed. You're wrong because the study is by no means airtight; it suffers from various conceptual and methodological flaws, which negate any sweeping generalizations or claims of "proof" about many of the assumptions being made concerning male sexual violence and coercion.

I don't get what you mean

I don't care. Think about what you post before you do it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
