Well, just remember what you're taking isn't the only med available, so - if you're otherwise fairly stable - don't be afraid to ask to try something else if you need to.

You told her about the sexual side effects and she didn't address them? If I were you I'd probably look for a new doctor. Or go back and really emphasize to her how they're affecting your life.

This post is so weird I'm having trouble gleaning the message and formulating a response. My mind got stuck on this: However if you weren’t little trustworthy kid you would already notice something is wrong – your dad is telling you how fat you and other women should be but in the meantime he gets hard every time he sees a slim fit girl. Hopefully, as an elementary-aged girl, I would have no idea what gives my father a hard on. I have to go throw up now.

I'm a second-wave feminist. All this women=good/men=bad shit has gotten ridiculous. I don't want to be stepped on and limited, but I also don't want to be coddled and pandered to.

I don't want to give you specific medical advice, but sometimes they'll add an anti-anxiety med or something else to boost the effectiveness of the SSRI, allowing you to drop it to a lower dose.

Xem, talk to your doctor about this. Sometimes they can use a combination of drugs to minimize side effects.

It's not a fatal problem, as long as the guy knows how to use his mouth and hands. That said, I'd feel sad for him, which would take a lot of the fun out of it.

Well, you're thinking about it from the perspective of having a 7 1/4" length, right? If the length is only 5 inches, then it would look more normal. It's about proportion. In any case, don't expect to make girls happy only with your dick. Like someone else said - work on your oral/manual skills. Only about 30% of women have orgasms from PIV sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/16 05:09 AM

I looked it up - average is between 1.25 and 1.6 inches, so you're a bit on the larger side there, as well.

It's like Goldilocks - you don't want one that's way too big or way too small, but different women will have different definitions of those terms. And like others have said, circumference is more important than length. In any case, it's not how big your wand is, it's how you work your magic. Lol ╰( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )つ──☆*:・゚ FWIW 7 1/4" is definitely on the larger side.

that makes you the outlier. Sure, I'm willing to grant that it's not typical. I, unlike RP, make no presumptions that all other women are the same. But I know some of them do feel as I do.

The current time period where women have equal rights with men is a historical aberration. It wasn't true for 98% of history, and its end is already in sight. If you follow the manosphere, poke around it, you'll see explosive growth. So you're telling us that the goal of the manosphere is not to improve men's lives, but to revoke the equal rights of women? And what do think the benefits would be to having James II back on the throne of England?

This article from Rational Male includes this gem: Anxiety, fear, guilt, insecurity are all very debilitating emotions, however it’s women’s innate psychology that makes them more durable to these stresses. Statistically, men have far greater difficulty in coping with psychological trauma (think PTSD) than women. This is the basic assumption Rollo is building his post around, and it is incorrect. Women have a 33% lifetime risk of developing an anxiety disorder, whereas for men it is only 22%. Tw…

opens the door to stalking and harassment I see your point. I think there's a way, though, to avoid that without being a complete bitch. I start out pleasant but firm, and I reserve the bitchiness for if they get pushy. In my experience, the "Alphas" are more of a problem in that regard.

That's true love right? Being honest and open with a person you're incredibly compatible with? Yes, actually. If you're incredibly compatible, why would you need extra charisma? Your Game is being incredibly compatible with her. for a lot of men, these kind of crude generalizations are what they need Well, good luck to them in finding a girl who's incredibly compatible with a fake, misogynistic asshole.

I need to take a break from this place. You and me, both! :-) It upsets me because that notion must hurt you…I'm sorry. It's OK. Some women are shitty human beings, that's a fact. (There are a lot of women on my shit list!) But that's not all of us.

Wow...OK. Look, I'm not saying I love being hit on by men I find unattractive. But when I turn a guy down - whether they're an "Alpha" or an "Omega" - I'm pleasant about it. "I'm flattered, but I have a boyfriend" (or, nowadays "I'm married"). I don't get all fucking offended by it like "how dare he approach me!" In what way? I am who I am, and they are who they are. I'm not out every day worrying about my social status/SMV. At most I might think "this is a little awkward." It wouldn't be "revulsion." If the 6-pack is your issue, then on tbe first page right now there's two of young Paul Newman, plus a young Ian McKellan. Face it, a lot of these guys are not ripped. For some women it's more about the face and the attitude. Regarding the "no scientists" thing...how many well-known scientists are there for them to choose from? If you're expecting women to post pictures of Stephen Hawking, you're out of your mind.

You said "no ladies posted any smart guys...just your typical 6-pack redpill alphas." I know David Attenborough is a smart guy, and I doubt he had a 6-pack under his clothes in that photo, but I guess I could be wrong about that.

Thanks for all that detail! we encourage women to allow the man to be himself, which often requires them to step out of the way so that the man has the opportunity to be masculine and enjoy himself. So, are you saying that men usually need to be the leader in order to "be masculine and enjoy themselves?"
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/16 01:08 AM

Maybe I just need to be Hot Captain. Lol There is a greater sense of ownership than in C/FO relationships, but I love it as I am protected and cared for. As someone with BDSM experience, your use of the word "ownership" rang a bell. I've read some people say RPW is just a way for you guys to legitimize a D/s kink. What would you say to that?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/16 12:51 AM
1

I personally don't consider it a requirement for being an RPW. Now I'm all confused about what are the requirements for being an RPW. Is it really just basically 1) don't be a bitch and 2)let your man make the decisions? Because I'm on board with half of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/16 12:43 AM
1

So how does supervillain/hot sidekick differ from captain/first officer? To me they sound very similar, although I must admit if I had to choose I'd rather be a hot sidekick than a boring old First Officer. :-)
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/16 12:31 AM
2

no one is forcing you to enter into an RP dynamic No one on here is, true... I think I understand the distinctions between RPW and TRP better now, thanks. We wouldn't just randomly suggest that someone alter their personalities Yeah, but you guys recommend Laura Doyle's writings, and from what I read (First Kill All Marriage Counsellors) a lot of her message is about hiding what you really think and feel, and just basically being fake and even manipulative.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/16 12:28 AM
1

Plenty of RPW would not categorise their relationships as Captain/First Mate even though they are male led. Getting back to our original discussion - for those RPWs that do not consider their relationships Capt./FO, how would they describe them?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 11:51 PM
1

Ah, I see now. Makes sense. :-)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 11:20 PM
2

I'm not sure what your inclusion of this description has to do with our conversation about LLL and Captain/First Mate. It's relevant because it's exactly the kind of description I've seen everywhere in RP contexts. Women need men to lead because they are physically weak, irrational, and indecisive. Men are attracted to women who are sweet and innocent because they make them feel smart, strong, and needed. Just like me and my daughter! But why would, as you say, "two competent adults who love eac…

For the man to lead, the woman has to follow. She's a follower. It doesn't mean steamrolling, but it does mean one person has authority over the other. Like me and my daughter. I don't steamroll or micromanage her. She picked out her own clothes and made her bed this morning. But I'm in charge and she loves, trusts, and respects me to make the best decisions for her. It's that way because she's physically smaller and weaker than I am and she's very emotional and not as rational or good at making…

I think for many of them being enthusiastic = doing "sexually deviant" things. I can't post over there anymore, or I'd ask them. Lol to oral sex being sexually deviant.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 09:44 PM
1

I've heard all that before. I'm not sure what to say about it, because it doesn't apply to me and I have no experience as a man. My guess is this happens less often than Rollo implies.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 09:40 PM
2

If she is low dominance then she is naturally not going to be taking the lead in situations. Wait - then in an LLL relationship, nobody takes the lead? But I thought you said LLL is C/fo? As you describe these RPW relationships, I'm not seeing the male-led-ness. It sounds like two people each doing their thing and negotiating to reach decisions. Like people do in equal relationships. at the end of the day, someone makes the final call and the other person acquiesces. That could be either one of …

men who said their SOs refuse to do oral/anal, period...I've literally never come across the latter story. Haven't spent much time at MRP, have you? I don't know about the "men angry at stories of men" thing, but MeRPs are all about trying to get anything besides "starfish sex" from their wives.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 09:08 PM
2

Ok - got it. But he can do all that and still not get a male-led relationship - even if he's developed leadership qualities and she's very attracted to him - if she doesn't see the value in being a follower.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 09:01 PM
1

If a man is at a 30:70 alpha to beta ratio (a 3/10 on my scale) and the woman's threshold is 4 or 5, getting more alpha traits would make the woman more attracted to him and their relationship would become male led. Why would it become male led just because he met her threshold? please don't think that I am saying that MRP is using these ideas and trying to achieve the scenario I just outlined. No, I understand. :-)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 08:53 PM
1

Not really. My point was about promiscuity - actions, not interest and desires - which your comment: In the pre-60s world, social enforcement of shaming against premarital sex supports. Plus women were encouraged to have sex with their husbands, it's wasn't repressed. I can dig up links to manuals from the 50s and 60s, counseling advice, etc, things were different, but not in a "you should deny your husband sex" way. I doubt it was in a "give your husband deep throat BJs and anal" way, either. M…

So, what happens when one partner tries to change the dynamic? Like, I don't know...the man decides to change things from an LLL non-male-led relationship to a HLH male-led relationship because he thinks that's how it's "supposed" to be because Red Pill and masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 08:25 PM
2

There are lots of us non-men here on PPD. Anyway, it wasn't any cruder than anything else on here.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 08:19 PM
1

Ok. So, C/fo is when both partners are low dominance, and the woman likes it that way/doesn't need dominance but still wants to be led. Other RP relationships are also man-led, but in an HLH or HHH way. He's highly dominant and the woman wants that because she can't respect/love him otherwise. She's either low dominance and wants to be taken care of, or high dominance and wants to be kept in line by someone even more dominant. Are HHL or LHH recipes for disaster, then?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 08:17 PM
2

I don't get it - if RP is primarily about getting young men laid, I imagine the sexually repressed pre-60s world must have been worse. Why would they want that?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 08:03 PM
1

Just let the free sexual market flourish, and everything will be fine. All you have to do is remove the slut-shaming retrograde patriarchy-supporters and somehow everyone will find happiness magically. What's the alternative? Forced marriage at 13?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 06:57 PM

You're trying to draw comparisons between Rand's ideas about society and economy and Blue Pill ideas about sexual/romantic relationships, when Rand had very clear ideas of her own about sexual/romantic relationships, masculinity and femininity, and they were decidedly Red Pill.

Since when do men get dating advice from women's magazines?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 05:32 PM
1

I saw your post about relationship dynamics/preferences (high vs low dominance) and it was interesting. I'm not sure how that necessarily leads to RP alternatives to C/fo. RP basically insists that the man be in charge.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/16 04:14 PM
2

Sure. My point was, though, if the guy is motivated by insecurity about hypergamy and ends up making his wife hate him for being an asshole, he's failing. A lot of MRP is about "your wife's gonna branch swing, dude! Better get more alpha to keep her on board (and get more blowjobs, of course)!" But it can completely backfire and you'll fuck up what you were trying to save, when it wasn't even that broken to begin with, just because you were insecure. Unnecessary when you could have gone a differ…

That's a lot of people you're lumping together. First, Anal and oral are two different animals. Second, it's about sexual compatibility. To each his own. Find someone who likes to do what you want done. And don't suddenly change the rules and expect them to jump on board.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/16 08:03 PM

This is such a tangent, I'm struggling to find any connection here. I'm INTJ, FWIW.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/16 07:25 PM
2

Wow. I have little to say on the "size issue." I'm one of the majority of women who cannot have vaginal orgasms, so it's really not much of a concern for me. Plus, my n-count is low. I'm inclined to believe the A-spot is a myth, along with the idea that "squirting orgasms" are anything other than the woman urinating.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/16 07:24 PM
2

if that's what you consider rape, LOL Not in a knife-to-the-throat, "do it or I'll hurt/kill you" way, certainly. But part of the definition involves using abusive tactics to coerce someone into having sex. I think yelling abuse at someone while handling their genitals roughly probably qualifies. And it's not particularly funny.

If the roles were reversed, most people would call that rape. Well, fuck, it was rape. She verbally abused you until you complied. There may be people in this world who are inherently good and people who are inherently evil, but most people have the capacity for either one depending on the circumstances. For some, the stimulus must be extreme, such as war or famine. For my wife, it was that I lost my six-pack and always gave her what she asked for. That is fucked up. I was just arguing with some…

You took my comment off in a weird direction. I was speaking of a single sex act and you started talking about perceived social injustices. Any man inclined to pressure a woman for anal should let her peg him first with a life-size dildo. Then he'll know exactly what it is he's asking her to do. The anus is an exit-only organ, and it can hurt like hell (and be messy) if not done properly. Not everyone's cup of tea.

You had the relationship model right. She let him lead/make the major decisions, as RP/RPW advocates (like I said before), and the result was her not getting any of the big things she needed in her life and he was resentful. That's one possible, I'd say probable, result of TRP - he got what he wanted, she didn't, both were unhappy, relationship failed. You can't shoehorn everyone into TRP and then just explain failure away by saying "he didn't dominate the right way."
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/16 07:11 PM

If you bothered to understand TRP. That's always the response, isn't it? It's weak. Can you elaborate what I haven't bothered to understand? Nobody actually advocates that. The obsession with "submissiveness" contradicts that. And "nobody?" Really?

I don't think the issue is whether a power imbalance exists, but rather how consistent the imbalance is and how the assigning of power is determined. Power in relationships should be fluid. As many others have mentioned, what that looks like is that each partner leads on the things they know more about/are better at. It is not man=leader in all things because testosterone. I agree with you 100%. Your previous life sounds exactly like what RP/RPW advocates, and claims is the natural order of things and the way for women to be happy. But you (and millions - if not billions - of other women in the world) are proof that it's wrong. It comes down to having the opportunity to choose - I think most women would choose as you did.

Deliberately giving someone an unreasonable request and then being mad when they protest is messed up. Being mad to the point you withdraw your affection, with the attendant hidden message being that your love for them has diminished, is even more so. Depending on the circumstances and the nature of the request, I think it could potentially be emotionally abusive. That goes for both men and women.

If one is enough, why have more? I do get that some people enjoy a poly lifestyle. I'm talking about monogamous relationships and the claims RP makes about how men operate within them vs. how women do.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 07:19 PM
6

First of all, pretty sure not all men are polygamous. And not all women are hypergamous. Yes, I'm inclined to agree. Nothing about polygamy disproves idealistic and unconditional love from men towards women. As I said somewhere else, in my view, "never being enough" is a zero on the unconditional scale.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 07:13 PM
7

The desire for more is always there, though, whether they can act on it or not. men seem to have internalized this much more than women. Hence all the strip clubs, prostitutes, and mistresses who cater to men who are already in relationships? If men are as noble as you make them sound, there wouldn't be such a demand for these things.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 07:04 PM

Where on this post have I brought it up? Maybe I should give you the benefit of the doubt. Maybe you aren't aware of what you're doing. You've consistently responded to my posts and comments with - not only information about RP ideas, which I do appreciate - but also a mention of my marriage and how accepting the ideas you've put forth are the way to fix it and that not accepting them (i e. "continuing to do what I'm doing") will lead to failure. In this way you're attempting to pursuade me to a…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 05:24 PM
5

Why lecture me about my marriage if you aren't attempting to change my mind? Why get personal like that? Your view, as you've stated before, is that I should just accept things for the way they are (the RP explanation) and "improve myself" accordingly.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 04:55 PM
3

This is a debate sub - you guys explain. I understand your position and then push back.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 04:50 PM
4

I appreciate your explanation - do you agree with it? You're basically telling me - and I think also expecting me to accept - the premise that women do not actually like or care about their husbands. And that marriages are basically a replication of the father/daughter dynamic. Healthy women do not want or need another daddy to take care of them and tell them what to do. They want a friend, lover, and partner in crime.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 04:45 PM
5

Thanks for your thoughtful response. if the husband no longer stays above the woman, she can no longer respect him, and so she cannot love him. Many women somehow manage to love their husbands without having this kind of relationship dynamic. Reducing a woman's love for her man to the desire for provision and protection is ludicrously simplistic. Not to mention horribly depressing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 04:40 PM
2

A woman's love for a man is premised more on respect than on affection or affinity, more on her looking up to him and looking to him than on her really liking him or caring about him. I think that's utter bullshit. A man's love for a woman is premised on his helping her, caring for her and soothing her. Bullshit again. Plenty of men love women who need no help, care, or soothing. In fact, they are irritated by women who need those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 04:33 PM
2

Thanks for writing all this - you have some good points. I still think you do not love someone truly or unconditionally if you are willing to betray their trust simply because you are bored with them. That's not love.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 04:29 PM
5

What does that idealism look like, though? And does it mesh with the idea that, while women may be hypergamous, men are polygamous. A Polygamous sexual nature seems to me completely antithetical to any idealistic "true love," even more than a hypergamous one. Disloyalty is built into polygamy. This is a core issue with RP that I have never understood - how men can be both polygamous and the more romantic ones at the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 02:39 PM

So did he fess up and drop the "it's not about you, it's about my self improvement" facade? not yet
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 05:56 AM

Yes, and then they can love as a fully-formed human being. The implication is that there is something selfish and lacking about the way women love men. And again I ask - what is this special love that men have for women that women cannot reciprocate?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 05:51 AM
5

“For men, love is nothing more than gratitude for the gift of pleasure" RP asserts that "women only love you for how you make them feel" - this sounds like the male counterpart to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 05:44 AM
9

Such a bizarre idea. What is this special love that men have for women that women cannot reciprocate? Children don't love their parents the same way their parents love them due to a whole host of factors - their brains and minds are not matured, causing them to be extremely self-centered, etc. They aren't capable of loving anyone in that way. The same is not true of women. If they are capable of loving their children deeply, they can love their men as well, no? Why reduce women to the emotional …

men do not respect women Ok, I've got to ask - why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/16 05:29 AM

As a follow up: it sounds like you feel this way about all women. Is it different with a woman you're romantically involved with/in love with?

Friend, you're not worth shit testing and need to learn to evaluate your adversaries better. Since you brought it up, I'll ask you another bullshit question - are you arguing that the men who come to RP subs and blather on about evil Feminists ruining society don't feel powerless to stop it? Are they just too cool to bother, like you?

I don't think anybody has any delusions that writing articles about doing kick-ass squats is going to make modern gyms go back to the way they were in the good old days. Because people writing things, and other people reading them and following their advice, never has a wider impact, huh? You've completely changed my view of human history! I'm not asserting that RP exists solely to fight feminism, I think it's one of its functions. It's an anti-feminist ideology, but it's not men acting out against feminism. Having read the blogs as well has the subs, I disagree. I think a lot of it is "feminists are screwing up society, let's get things back to the way they used to be when women wore dresses and stayed home with the kids." That's a caricature, but just look at Ian Ironwood's blog for copious evidence of pre-feminist idealized fem…

You don't think it's trying to affect change by promoting the anti-feminist worldview and giving men advice on how to structure their relationships to counteract Feminism?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/16 09:35 PM

Ok, so perhaps I'm referring more to MRP, with which I'm more familiar.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/16 09:27 PM

Perhaps activism is a misnomer. My view is that it is promoting an anti-feminist worldview via its descriptions of feminine nature and the specific advice for men to follow within their relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/16 09:26 PM
2

The Red Pill is an effort to redefine masculinity separate from what feminism tells men they should be. You make some good points but from what I've seen, the bulk of TRP isn't even discussing masculinity. It's discussing what it sees as feminine nature and behavior. Several of the RP blogs attempt to define what a "Good Woman" is (hint: she's not a Feminist). I personally have had MRP-ers and RPW attempt to "correct" my view of what femininity is. MRP is ostensibly about men making themselves d…

Women who purport "feminism" believe they are acting in their own self-interest, but do not have the perspective of heterosexual men, and in some ways are going on a fool's errand--attempting to achieve happiness while completely neglecting how evolution has wired them to achieve happiness. I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say they "do not have the perspective of heterosexual men" - could you explain that? Perhaps a better example might be the US Civil War, which was definitely a war about undoing societal wrongs There're some arguments to be made that this isn't true, either. Money and power were a huge factor.

I'm just pointlessly pointing out the inconsistency, of which you are already aware. Some TRP-ers are pretty insistent on the praxeology-only thing, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/16 03:03 AM

Read Rollo I have, and I think RP is both philosophy/ideology and praxeology. As for the rest - I've nothing to say on the topic of Feminism.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/16 10:23 PM

Rollo...is very much about the theory of the red pill, what lies behind it and so on Funny, I've been told in no uncertain terms that there is no "theory of the red pill." It's all just "praxeology."

/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/16 09:33 PM

What I'm trying to get through to you is that there really are women in this world who have never had an average guy approach them with sexual intent. Maybe they've had undesirable men (homeless, old, ugly, etc.) approach, but not average and certainly not the "top 1/3", as I have seen some TRP-ers state. You don't see these women, so you don't include them in your "woe is me, I can't get laid" accounting.

Hey - happy new year, irateMD! Maybe you should send them to marriedredpill? Lol, that would be awkward! :-) In any case, I was being a little facetious. Where are these "hundreds of millions of thirsty men" in real life? I have married men approach me (by your definition) fairly often. Why are they "thirsty" - go home and fuck your wife, man!

I'm not saying it never happens to anybody. I'm saying there are some women who have never experienced what you're describing. Why is that so hard to believe?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 06:17 AM

So are you asserting that these women I know are being chatted up in the subway and not realizing it? Some I know would love for a guy their age to talk to them spontaneously like that. It doesn't happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 06:06 AM
2

Most women have firsthand sexual experience with a top 1/3 man You've got to be fucking kidding me. Jesus, where do you guys get this shit from? For one thing, a significant number of women have little-to-no sexual experience at all, let alone with "a top 1/3 man."
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/16 05:59 AM
1

Any time a man talks to a woman -- outside of necessity -- there's better than an 80% chance he's interested in her. Really? Wow. So 80% of men who have spoken to me (not out of necessity) are doing it because they're seriously hoping to have sex with me? That's ludicrous.

The issue is, that if men's SMV must be more comprehensive, necessitously the physical attraction bar should be lower. Yet currently, it is not. I guess I'm not the best woman to ask, since my standards, and those of the women I know, seem to be different from those of the women you're describing. I know lots of women who may care about how men look, but often they're looking more at "type" rather than nitpicking details. I said they were looking for one, and thinking they'd found it in "Game," etc. You don't get it and you don't understand what TRP is all about. Happy new year to you, too! :-) In response to your question, I'd ask this question - Would you prefer for men to be judged solely on their looks? I'd think the more components involved in your SMV the better - less weight placed on any one factor, and you don't have to be perfect in all of them. I believe most women would love it if men took into consideration how funny they are, or how successful, smart, or talented they are, instead of it all being about how pretty your face is or how big you…

In the context of meeting women for sexual purposes, SMV is all that matters according to TRP. Yes. So what? Just pointing out the contradiction, Pem, of you saying TRP does not say that all men care about is looks. All men care about in the context being discussed, according to TRP, is how a woman looks because that's 95% of her SMV.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/16 07:49 PM
6

Why should a woman invest her time in a low value man? TRP calls that "hypergamy" and gets all up in arms about it, but when men do it, it's merely "optimization." You can say women lie to men about hypergamy, but I say go cry to the ugly little girl who thinks someday a nice guy will see her inner beauty and choose her over Susie cheerleader.

Those 80% of men just don't get to fuck the "best women" and they're pissed because, as RP itself asserts, all men care about is how a woman looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/16 06:34 PM

That's awesome. Do you agree, though, with your husband's characterization of how women are (why it would suck to be one)? Is it partly a misperception of what it's like?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/16 06:28 PM

And I'm telling you my experience is different. Are girls pouring out their hearts to you about their love lives? Or are you just making assumptions? Every time a guy comes on here asking these kinds of questions - why won't girls fuck me - it becomes apparent at some point he is talking about a specific type of girl. "Why won't the cute blonde social girls fuck me?" It's never "why won't the shy, fat girls with crooked teeth fuck me?"

I know a shit ton of barely-visible "nerdy girls." And I know women who've made it into their 30s without ever being "cold approached" by a guy - because they're fat or plain. This idea that every woman has dick falling into her lap everyday is idiotic.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/16 05:40 PM

No offense to your husband, but most of those things don't hold up - women can pee on the side of the road (done it), and they don't have to get pregnant, go to tupperware parties, pee after sex. I worked in a very un-pc office with women and some gay guys - man, the shit that was said! I'm not saying men and women have the exact same experiences, I just think we make a lot of inaccurate assumptions about each other based on stereotypes that make us seem more different than we really are.

Submission is not weakness. You need strength to maintain and stick to your submission. Given what you've said, and the notion that submissiveness is the natural state of women - have women been misrepresented over the centuries (and by RP) as weak-willed, fickle beings?

To be clear, here's a sampling of my questions that didn't get answered: Why don't/can't men respect women? What makes a good captain? Smart? Wise? Brave? Good with people? Good at organization? Which questions didn't I answer? I'd go back and answer them, but the post is locked. You backtracked on the issue of hypergamy. Hypergamy isn't just about men competing. It's about women dating "up." So that's why I wondered - if a woman wants a man who is better than her, does it not seem rational to assume that she wants a man she feels "less than"? But now he should be on top? If he was unhappy when it was imbalanced, won't I be unhappy?

I don't really think either of us necessarily should be captain - can't we share the work and decision making, the way co-workers do? I work on a project, my co-worker works on a project, sometimes we decide shit together. If we disagree, whoever can make the best argument or knows more gets to decide, or we call in an expert. It does feel unfair, too. "Man as captain" assumes the man has innate abilities that the woman doesn't - not just being physically stronger, etc., the biological differenc…

OK - but you aren't really responding to me, here. RP is the one saying that someone has to run the show. It may sound to you like I want to run the show, but what I'm really saying is - let's him and me run the show together. I haven't been happy doing all this work.
/r/RedPillWomen09/12/15 03:37 AM

Why is it better for him to make the final decision? What you need to ask yourself is this, is it possibly worth your marriage so you can be the captain? To me this seems a false dichotomy. And I never said I wanted to be captain - I just said it makes no sense to me that there has to be a captain, and it has to be him no matter what.
/r/RedPillWomen09/12/15 03:28 AM
1

This isn't about one-up-manship for me. RP is setting up the hierarchy here, not me. I don't feel good about deliberately setting up a relationship where one individual is considered more important or valuable than the other - whether that's him or me.
/r/RedPillWomen09/12/15 03:25 AM

Experience and a record of good decision making/successful mission outcomes? From what I've read, it looks like RP says that all men are captains by virtue of being men. Some are "Drunk Captains" but penis always = captain.

I'm not framing it as a competition - RP is doing that with the concept of hypergamy. "As a woman I want X man because he is smarter/stronger/better than me, and that's what I (supposedly) need to be happy." I think it isn't completely irrational to read that as "I want to feel less smart/strong/good relative to my husband." I am just trying to explain RP tenets I understand that. I hope you don't feel like I'm attacking you. I'm trying to ask all these questions/hash out these arguments becsuse…

I understand what you're saying, but I meant respect as in "wow, this person is really smart/wise/dedicated/good at this thing and I value and admire that." If a woman thinks she is better and more capable than her man, she can't respect him Does this apply to all areas? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you are saying that in order for a woman to truly love her husband, she has to consider herself to be worth less than him. That sounds like madness to me. Why would anyone want to live…

I've heard the whole "equilibrium not equality" argument. The problem with that is it's assuming a very literal definition of equal. I know men and women are different. Moving a sofa? He can do it, not me. If one of us had to wrestle a bear? My money would be on him. Need to breastfeed a baby? I did that. Deciding where our money should be invested? Not a male/female issue. Equal means of equal value. Not "exactly the same."

Nothing in RPW says that men/SOs should defer to their women. At all. Mods, please back me up, if otherwise. You misunderstood me. I said RP suggests that he does not ever defer to me. My question was if not deferring = not respecting, then where does that leave the woman? He's putting in work however he can to step up to the plate and you're looking down at him at every turn. Where are you getting that information? Stop treating him he's your child, or subordinate. I don't want to treat him tha…

Why don't you respect him enough to defer? I have always respected him. His recent behavior is undermining that. I don't get why not deferring to him would mean I don't? If he doesn't defer to me, as RP suggests, does it mean he doesn't respect me? I think whoever knows more about a subject, or whoever cares more, should be the one to make a final decision. That ensures the best decision is made. Frankly, I know more about practical things than my husband does. Part of it is that I have more exp…

What a terrible situation for your girlfriend. Is she in any kind of therapy? I agree with others who have said that you can't "fix" or "save" her, but you can help by encouraging her to see a therapist and to take time to focus on herself and her needs. You can do that whether you remain her bf or not. It sounds like she spends all her time trying to fulfill other's needs and expectations - especially her mother's, but yours as well - and she needs to learn to take care of herself first. You ca…

do you check out other women? Can I ask - are you saying he should do this so his wife notices? My husband has has done that and I've wondered if it is technically part of "dread game" or what. (I don't find it attractive, so I'm confused as to the purpose of it, if there is one.)

What is her relationship like with her parents? I'm wondering if she has resentment toward them that is spilling over onto you. Otherwise, I'm really confused why a woman would be so pissed off at her man for helping her elderly parents. Wouldn't moving heavy stuff around when other people can't do it be an alpha thing ?

patting her on the head, telling her she is a good girl That sounds kinda disrespectful to me, but if she likes it then it doesn't matter. None of that was in the post I saw. Certainly not the part about asking your wife whether she wanted to do it. But, whatever. "suck it up, buttercup." That's a really shitty attitude, and I agree that it's pretty common. But there are no unicorns, and the truth of that statement often doesn't reveal itself until years into a long-term relationship I see what you're saying. I think this is a problem for both men and women - though I recognize that MRP is only concerned with the male side.

You're right - as a girl I picked up the message that "most boys just want to get into your pants, and they'll break your heart, so be careful." But I also learned "some day you'll meet your true love soulmate who is looking for something more and sees your inner beauty." I always assumed that boys were taught thus - "most girls are only good for sex, so don't get attached and rack up as many as you can. And then brag about it." That's basically the TRP sub right there. Of course I will warn my …

We're just confident, fit and fun men to be around. I think there's a big difference between a wife who's happy if her husband is that way, and a wife who's a monster to him if he's not. It sounds like you guys are dealing with the latter.

See, I read these AWALT statements and they just sound crazy to me, even if they are just warnings or "heuristics," as someone called them. It's like if I said to other women "men only think with their dicks and they'll drop you for a younger woman as soon as you hit 30. They're incapable of love - AMALT." It wouldn't occur to me to say that. Although maybe if it had actually happened to me I would. I don't know. I have empathy for you guys on MRP, but I just can't muster it for the angry TRP ed…

My wife has already done things almost on par with that That's terrible. Even if you were "displaying too many beta behaviors." :-( Edit: I put that in quotes not to be derisive but to point out that you shouldn't have to be "alpha" to be treated decently by your wife.

With any luck the meds will help her to recognize her situation and get out. We can only hope! Jeez, what an asshole this guy is (if he's not a troll, which I think he must be). My vasectomy comment was in response to some TRP manbaby who came here to agree with the "secretly ask OB to stitch up my wife" concept, and then ran away.

Aw, u/Alpha_n3rd made a delightful comment here that I wanted to reply to, but then I guess he got scared because he deleted it. Here's what I was going to say, just in case he's still around: What if you went in for a vasectomy and your wife took the doctor aside and asked him to make some "alterations" to your dick while he was there? No big deal, right?

she was extremely disrespectful to make the decisions that she did by herself. He thought her enduring a few weeks of discomfort would be a just dessert and an appropriate lesson You've got to be a troll! I can't believe a doctor would say that, for one thing. "true love" is an active, conscious and continuous CHOICE, not a compulsion. I know you're right, but part of me feels really sad about that - girls get sold the Disney lie, too, and some fall for it hard. I want my Prince Charming soul mate. Women aren't really as opportunistic as RP likes to make it seem.

Yeah, great except for the being treated like a child and not making decisions part. I guess I'll learn to love that, eventually. other women love being around him I'm not a subscriber to the "Female Social Matrix," so those other bitches better keep their eyes and mitts off my man.

Sounds like she's been under a lot of stress and isn't handling it well. Anyway, I would echo what some others have said here and say that if she really is trying to initiate a D/s relationship with you, you need to sort out how it's going to work, set a safe word, etc. Does she want to be on the top or bottom would be an important question to ask. Looking at her behavior, there's the potential for things to get ugly for both of you, so I think you guys need to set some clear ground rules.
/r/askMRP23/10/15 06:12 PM

Based on her behavior, I do still suspect she's got some heavy stuff going on that isn't being addressed.

Hi - it was my comment. I got banned, but now I'm back! :-) All I said was that, based on the level of aggression (actually hurting you and saying what she said) it sounded to me like she was acting out on some emotional turmoil regarding your sex life, rather than asking to be dominated. I think most women would have gone in a sexier, less crazy direction, but maybe your wife just has her own way of expressing herself. I hope it continues to go well for you guys.

Thank you for this! Your perspective and encouragement is really helpful. I'm trying to understand why he's doing what he's doing, and although it hurts I don't think he is actually trying to hurt me. Like you said, I think he believes he is doing what he needs to do to be happy and make our relationship better. Hopefully, like you, he will eventually realize that it's having the opposite effect.

Thanks for your comment - That is good advice. I would love for him to go to therapy, and I'd go with him if he wanted that. He's never been, and I'm certain he has a lot of stuff going on psychologically, some of which I know about and obviously some I don't. He doesn't have any positive male role models in his life and talking to a male therapist could be very good for him. Do you have any ideas on how best to bring the topic up with him? I think it might be a hard sell.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I did ask him directly what was going on that he felt needed to change, if there was something he needed from me that he wasn't getting, etc. He gave me vague answers. I don't think he wants to talk about how he's been feeling, because that's another red pill tenet. Talking about your feelings makes you too beta. You've got to be a rock, or an oak, or a brick wall, or whatever... Anyway, I think it boils down to how he has felt insecure and socially awkward, especiall…
