Depends on how you define it - I would roughly define a shit test as "failing because you did what the other party asks of you".

For men, this can mean that he qualifies himself during a date and she loses interest because he's too eager to be compliant. Or when he does everything his partner asks him for and she starts to think he's a pushover.

For women, it would be when she sleeps with a guy right of the bat because she thinks she doesn't have a shot otherwise and he dumps her.

Men don't shit test women to see if they are emotionally stoic, independent and reliable, or have high status. We bitch-test them to check for a terrible personality before we have to suffer from it. This includes how easily offended or sensitive a woman is, because it means they have a short fuse. Unfortunately, there is no test for loyalty.

Emotional volatility is a win win in both scenarios for the woman, you see. Either she discovers ways in which she can directly control her man, or the positive roles that allow both people to love the other are reinforced.

No, men do not shit-test.

A shit test is a question that is aimed to make the man uncomfortable. She then looks how he reacts. If he reacts with confidence he has passed the shit test. The actual answer to the question is irrelevant.

A shit test's only purpose is to test the man's self-confidence. See if he is a pushover. Passing a shit test makes him more attractive.

Self-confidence in women is far less important for men. Not a dealbreaker. Many men want a self-confident woman, but she doesn't have to be self-confidence in a way that makes her pass shit-tests.

Men certainly test. They test differently than women do, but they do test women and internally gauge their responses the same as what TRP claims women do to men. TRP not wanting to claim that men "shit test" is merely a point of semantics.

Most men do not shit test. They want a compliant, DTF, attractive woman who pulls her weight. You don't need to shit test to suss out any of those traits. Either the woman looks good and is taking your dick regularly or she isn't. It's not some abstract quality you have to test for.

If a man wants to check if he's the alpha doooood, he is more likely to attempt to assert dominance by putting down the other guys, but it's to put them down, not see if they can come back at them.

When a woman shit tests, she's checking that her assertion that dooooood X is alpha as fwark, and will shit test him to check that he can come back as an alpha doooood.

Of course. So what. Men shit tests differently though. If a woman looks good and he is already flirting to her, she immediately passes all his shit tests in the looks departmenr. He is not going to say no to a woman at the point unless she reveals she is a psycho, unstable etc. A woman is more likely to keep the shit tests going.

They compliance test, which imo is similar to but not the same as a shit test. Shit-testing is usually sneakier-- whereas a man will tell a woman to do something and expect her to comply, a woman will tell a man to do something unreasonable to test whether he is willing to stand his ground-- whether he's apt to be swayed by external forces or whether he's more likely to stick to his guns, so to speak.

So generally speaking, men will expect compliance when they test, and women will expect (secretly) resistance.
