There's only a few ways to get it. Sex. IV Drug use (including medical). Blood transfusion. It's easy to leap to cheating, but it is possible to get it other ways. Some totally innocent.

Her attorney and the court know all the hacks, probably better than random people on reddit. Your best way to maximize you asset is to get an attorney who will get you the most you can legally. What you want is irrelevant. Sorry. The sooner you accept that you are bound by the law, the better.

You accept the fact that marriage is a partnership, and "we" earned that wealth, not "I". The person who was part of your life every day contributed in some way to it. You can also acknowledge that you entered this agreement of your own free will, and this was alwasys a possibility. Any marriage can end with the two people each going their own ways with half of the accumulated assets. You can also stop comparing and looking for relief that others have it worse, or be annoyed that others have it …

Do you have a source for that "statistically more likely" statement? All of the paragraphs I summarized were value judgements about what is special or right, which are not "true". They are just value judgements.

To summarize main points of your paragraphs: Women can have sex more easily than men can. Only woman should be picky and not just choose to enjoy sex like men do. A man picking a woman is not special. Only women picking men. Women who have a lot of sex are more likely to cheat than men who had a lot of sex. Or to summarize, "I want to take lots of words to sound like I'm accepting when I'm not at all. "

Closure is like forgiveness. It's about you deciding to let things go and move on. Getting the other person to do what you want them to isn't really a part of it.

This is where statistics do not tell the right story. Pregnancy, when it happens, will cost several hundred thousand dollars, plus time and emotional investment, for the next 18 years vs a complication for a vasectomy, which is a few days to weeks of discomfort... you're comparing the percentage risk of something very small against the percentage risk of something enormous.

Just let it go. Don’t tell anyone. Don’t announce anything. You don’t need the drama and you don’t want your kids dealing with the fallout.

I begged for the change I needed and for how she could help me be better for almost two years... all she had to so was ACT, not just say she was going to.

Having criminal hacking charges filed against you when she finds out is not a way to help yourself.

First, don't call it "bust" in front of anyone. Second, expect they will require a condom. If they don't, use one anyway. The risks are not worth it. Inside the condom, do whatever you want.

It depends on the state. A few still consider it cheating AND it will make a difference in the settlement. Most of them don't care though. In general, the bigger issue you make of it, the more you are setting yourself for an expensive legal battle where only the attorneys win.

Easy. You don’t. Let it go and move on with life. Like many other times, you can put your energy into proving yourself right or you can be happy. Not both.

It's called discovery. I'm surprised no one asked for that information before now.
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/24 09:04 PM

Most likely, yes. And every business document is subject to discovery if it goes to court. It's a really bad idea to hide or misrepresent anything.

Do yourself a favor: disengage from the drama. No good can come of it. You still have to co-parent with this person, and you're doing more to hurt than help the future relationship you need to have.

That can and does happen in rare situations. It sucks hard, and my condolences on your loss. From the sound of it, the same thing could have happened walking upstairs or alking outside. 3mph (a 20:00 mile) is a walking speed. This could be mixing correlation and causation. It's possible he'd have had that same heart attack home on the couch at that same time. "It's thought" is not exactly conclusive evidence that exercise was the cause. Most gyms recommend medical clearance before starting an ex…

I would say the more general advice is "find productive hobbies, get healthier, and make yourself more attractive." "Hit the gym" is a method that potentially hits all three and requires a few caveats (but calling it "dangerous" is dramatic)

Unless you have tons of cash laying around, most likely neither of you will get to keep the house and it will have to be sold for the equity to be split.

As a high level athlete, you know the tricks to get going. Use them. Tell yourself it's only a 10-minute workout so you will go. Lay out all your stuff in advance so you will go. Schedule someone to meet you there so you will go. Get back in the routine any way you can. It will help you feel better too.

One way to guarantee a worse outcome is to remove positive influence. I wouldn’t recommend letting go of your daughter for any reasons. Your absence doesn’t help her. Your presence might some day.

I downloaded and stored them. You can delete them in an instant but later realize you wanted one for some reason. I would recommend unfollowing her, though. That gets unhealthy at some point.

If your name is on the mortgage, most banks would not allow her refinance without your approval. As always, an attorney is your best resource to make sure there's not some loophole.

If it goes to court, it all becomes about splitting child expenses "proportionately and fairly", which is absurdly subjective. She can totally ask for it. It would be up to you to convince the court that's not a fair expectation.

Your ex can't force you to do anything, but the court could.

This is the kind of thing to work through in therapy. She probably has some sort of issue that causes this, and you are unlikely to be able to unwind it in a way that makes things better. Be ready for this to be an issue that gets worse and worse until it's resolved.

The wedding day is about the bride. She picks who walks her down the aisle. Shes lucky if two guys loved her and supported her enough that she wants them both. Or maybe one of them is an asshole and makes it easy on her to pick just one.

It's their party. They get to set the rules. You're the guest. You get to decide whether you are ok with the rules. I understand not wanting to take your new gf and not create any drama at the party. I also get not wanting to leave her out (which I would add, your friends chose to leave her out as well in favor of your ex... they could have excluded your ex and invited you and your new gf instead). In that situation, I wouldn't go. It lets you avoid the ex completely, which seems like the best o…

People have a reason for doing what they do... it just may not be the one they tell you or the one you think it is. You thought she wanted to keep them. Maybe she wanted to sell them. Maybe she just wanted you not to have them. Maybe something else. It's impossible to say.

Some people take sex very seriously. Some people take "safe" sex very seriously. That's up to them to decide. If you're not ok with it, you can decide not to have sex with that person. It's also possible it's some kind of test/game, in which case I'd just get out and be done.

You're probably right. No one wants to hear it, and no one believes it, but you're right. Study after study shows that married people feel massively in love with their affair partners because of their environment, the added excitement, and the lack of real-life issues, all of which collapse when they leave their spouse and get together. It almost never works. Not never, but almost.

We are social creatures, and many ways exist to meet that need without a spouse. As long as you tell yourself you need a specific societally-defined (and I'm guessing religiously) role like that, you're correct that you will not achieve peace.

It sounds like you see the red flags and already know she is trouble. You just need to break it off, which is a lot easier said than done.

You're assuming they would tell you the truth or at least the whole story. A woman who was cheating with a different guy every night might say her needs were not being met at home. A woman with a drinking problem might say she liked going out more than her partner did (and guys are no different). Whatever they tell you about their past is their side of things, which may or may not be accurate or heavily spun.
