Whenever I hear about stories like this, I am thankful I live in Canada. You may think the desire to keep a baby is genetic, but having lived in the US and Canada for equal parts of my life, it's definitely cultural. Religion is much less important to Canadians. Great post. If you are looking for a permanent boost in SMV that doesn't require going overseas, move to New York City. The number of single girls in NYC is almost double the number of single guys, mainly due to the types of courses women go to New York to study: journalism, English, liberal arts. They tend to stay in New York afterward, and the gender ratio is skewed pretty heavily in your favor. As I like to say, in New York, you don't even need a fake job to get laid.

Question for you: my ex still wants to get married. Mostly for citizenship, and I want citizenship in her country. We are both pretty aware of our rational need for this, and have discussed the practical implications of this, and even discussed the idea of marrying for 5 years. This is something else that I wonder about this place. There are a huge number of TRP redditors that praise god/religion in a sub that is named after the movie The Matrix, possibly the greatest allegory for the lie of religion in cinematic history. I am just confused about the inconsistencies, and am glad a lot of people have chimed in to explain their take.

I definitely intended to ask this here. As I learn more about TRP I can't help but feel like a lot of it is very reactionary and not very future-proof. You may think socialism helps women fuck over men today, but tomorrow it's the only thing that will prevent you from getting fucked over by the banks and tech giants.

I have spent time in Houston, Dallas and Austin. Would only recommend Austin of the three. There is a university so college chicks, and way more to do at night, good bars, etc. That's all I have to say about Texas, really.
