People who spout anything about “masculine/feminine energy” PLEASE ignore. They’re fucking clueless and just parroting what the other clueless person on tiktok said. The only thing I agree with is to bin off a guy who asks what you bring to the table. It’s tacky and rude and tells me he’s socially inept and/or chronically online. No, being a woman isn’t enough for a relationship. Things that matter are compatibility, logistics and genuine attraction/affection for one another with the maturity an…

Idk why wanting a peaceful home and a non combative partner is seen as something exclusive to men. I also have no interest in a partner that stresses me out and gives me a headache, isn’t that just a given for everyone?

How is me not worshipping an athlete getting in their way? Hero worship is bizarre whoever is doing it. There are plenty of people I have great respect for without getting weird about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/23 04:12 PM

Not just “chads” just any normal, well adjusted person handles a rejection without getting spiteful. It’s the difference between “no worries have a good one” and “you’re ugly anyway!!”. I’ve literally been told I’m ugly by a guy who offered to buy me a drink and I politely told him I had a bf - not an exaggeration.

There’s actually an interesting theory about the shape of a man’s penis being designed to pull out the sperm from the previous man inside the woman’s vagina - suggesting that women are also designed for sex with multiple partners as it means the strongest sperm “wins”. I don’t suggest having back to back raw sex and it kinda sounds like bro science but yeah
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/23 12:34 PM

I know plenty of women who are assertive, career focused all the “alpha” traits but also extremely kind and generous and have great relationships. Your issue is forgetting that people are multi dimensional. How I behave at work is completely different to how I am with my fiancé, friends, family etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/23 09:41 AM

Because your very issue with women thinking they’re the prize is how you’re coming across. This isn’t an interview, don’t expect someone to be a performing monkey trying to dazzle you with all the reasons you should date them. If you have to ask what they bring to the table, you clearly don’t see it and you two aren’t a match. So keep it moving.

That’s just you projecting your biased interpretation of it. Nobody here is expressing disgust at a woman proposing so we can’t offer insight on why they feel that way. Ask the people in the YouTube comments why they feel that.

A traditional woman has traditional values. One of those being that marriage is proposed by the man. It’s fairly straightforward. Most traditional men would also be mortified by a woman proposing to him. My fiancé planned his proposal for months and it was a really special moment for him, if I had done it he would have felt like I took that experience from him.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/23 07:50 AM

I don’t really care either way, if a woman wants to propose more power to her- but stats show that married men have better quality of life than single men, whereas single women report more happiness than married women. It’s not the case that marriage is a win-win for women and nothing but sacrifice for men. Especially as these days due to social changes and the economy, most couple split expenses, you have to be earning a shit ton of money in order to “provide” for someone which is only a minori…

I went to catholic school, the extent of my sex education was “pre marital sex make God mad, here’s a graphic slideshow of all the STDs. Btw if you have an abortion you’re going to hell.” Thankfully I had somewhat sane parents who were horrified by this and gave me a proper education.

I’ve already answered your question you window licker
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 06:08 PM

No - obviously youth plays a part in attraction, not disputing that. But RP males fixate on it way more. They explicitly say that younger women are better not necessarily because they’re more physically attractive but because they’re more naive and malleable. Which speaks volumes about the type of relationship they desire with a woman. Not really a good faith question when you’ve cherry picked my point and left out other attributes I mentioned…

I’m just going off what I’ve seen from RP men - isn’t the whole point of increasing your value (going gym, focusing on career) so that you have more options and that you’re less “replaceable” to women and you can “spin plates”. I’ve seen a lot of fixation on how replaceable people are from the RP community, a lot to unpack there.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 04:35 PM

Yeah, I feel like it’s pretty common knowledge they don’t want real relationships, they want a yes man who’ll stroke their ego and expect absolutely nothing from them. Hence their fixation on younger women who don’t have a higher education or much real life exposure.

Lol, those weren’t my worst experiences, just average ones. If I judged those men based on my worst experiences I’d be saying far worse. To work at the bar I worked you had to apply via DM over Instagram so they could check your social media and decide if you’re attractive enough to work there.

I can see the cheating. I’ve been a waitress at a restaurant and the chefs are always incredibly flirty with the waitresses (who are often teens), it’s even worse at bars. I would never date someone involved in the club/bar industry they’ll try to fuck anything with a pulse and only hire women they like to look of.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/23 06:23 PM

I guess it was probably easier to cheat back then as there was no digital footprint to follow. You would just have to trust that the people around you would keep their mouth shut and have an explanation for your whereabouts. It’s a double edged sword but everyone having autonomy in dating is a good thing. My friends parents divorced due to her father being physically abusive and putting her mother in hospital. Regarding your last para - from what I heard from my grandparents, it was common for men of that time to hand over their entire paycheque to their wife who would handle the entire homes finances and then give her husband an allowance. Domestic abuse from women was also a lot more accepted, they’d joke about waiting up for your husband with a frying pan in hand when he comes home from the pub hours later than he said he would (obviously back then you couldn’t just text and let her know). Tbh the gross ones I lived with had plenty of girls over but I guess when you’re 18-21 that’s not something you factor in that much. It’s concerning if the only reason you remove skidmarks is if you’re having a girl over. Funnily enough the super clean guys I lived with were both gay.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/23 05:48 PM

Interesting. All throughout uni I had both male and female housemates and the women were usually mid level clean, not gross but not super strict with it either. From what I’ve seen women usually have more stuff so their space may be messier/more cluttered. The guys I lived with either had kitchenware in their room collecting mould (I knew a guy who would just reuse pans without washing them and then throw them out when they were too gross to use) and bathrooms that were biohazards or they were m…

I’m not underestimating the effort I’m telling you the frequency of those things are very different. A guy who mows the garden twice a month isn’t doing nearly as much as someone who cooks daily, does dishes, hoovers, keeps surfaces clean, raises kids etc. but given you’ve not been responsible for these things your ignorance is understandable Let’s be real the average modern man can’t even change a tire let alone do any maintenance work.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/23 04:40 PM

Again - I rent a flat in a city centre, we have a garden but the landlord has a gardener. Unless you live somewhere that’s falling down around you I really doubt you’re doing repairs as often as you do indoor housework. Maintenance stuff like creaky doors/mould/fixing the boiler I’ve fixed myself, it doesn’t take that long and you don’t have to do it that often.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/23 04:13 PM

Yard work and home maintenance aren’t done as often. If you rent somewhere like most young people do, you don’t really do home repairs at all you call your landlord and wait 6 months for him to sort it

I think there’s two sides to it. Women should practise more caution but it’s also pretty shitty for a man to do all the things I listed above and then act outraged when the woman thinks something more serious is going to come of it. Not everything’s purely black and white or a case of just one persons fault 🤷🏼‍♀️ If the mans explicitly clear in his words and actions he only wants sex and she still catches feelings, that’s on her to remove herself from the situation. I agree there’s a spectrum, that’s why I think unless you’re very good at separating feelings from sex (which most women aren’t) just don’t have sex unless it’s explicitly clear both of you want a relationship or are already in one. Almost all FWBs/situationships I’ve seen that don’t lead to a relationship result in someone getting deeply hurt. Just not worth it imo. My friend had a set of “rules” which were - no texting unless to plan a hookup, no cuddling after sex (because that’s when the oxy…

Talk about cherry picking lol - those things combined with the others is what makes it misleading The most efficient “strictly sex” situations I’ve seen where nobody gets attached - they usually only talk occasionally to plan the next hookup and some small talk. Going on date nights and paying for romantic getaways is not typical “I only want sex” behaviour. I do those things with my platonic friends but I usually don’t fuck them after.

Porn is problematic for both genders. I’m sure you’ve seen endless jokes comparing women’s labia to roast beef sandwiches as women in porn typically have very little labia. Let’s be honest no men are saying they prefer women with a lot of labia. As well as endless comments that women who’ve had multiple partners are “loose”. “In porn I’ve seen-“ okay so porn is not real life. Let’s get that out the way. Most men feel that way about small dicks. I’ve known guys deeply insecure for having a 5/6 incher when that’s literally average and can do a great job. You act like it’s only women who use “small dick” as an insult.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 11:23 AM

Not related to dick size but it’s kind of a known thing that guys who brag about their abilities in bed tend to be all talk. Whereas guys who are more laid back and don’t tell everyone what a Casanova they are bring a better time. I guess small dick energy is the same premise as “little man energy” aka overcompensating for something lacking. To me an example of small dick energy are those guys who obnoxiously rev their cars lol.

Men here are sooo delusional and think all women would leap at this opportunity if a guy was rich and tall. Then they see all of us say nope and go “ok but you’re lying”. 💀 Like why even ask if you already have the answer?

From a young age I was told to pick a career that would easily allow me to go part time once I had children. I think feminism now has now calmed down from the point where the only way to be feminist was to wear a power suit and work a 9-5 and from what I see women are generally more accepting of SAHMs. However, I do believe in fail to prepare, prepare to fail. Half of marriages end in divorce, placing your entire wellbeing into your husbands hands is not a gamble I would personally take. But eac…

Agree with the last point. I’ve known women who’ve forgiven their bfs for the most heinous shit but will cut off their long term close friends over a misunderstanding. With all the “what do you bring to the table” talk I think a lot of relationships have become very surface level and transactional. When you look at things that way, you’re always going to feel dissatisfied and like you could get a better ROI elsewhere.

Haven’t been there for ages but Ive seen some posts of men venting their outrage that their wife won’t sleep with them even though he works and makes money - even though they’ll mention she works too (“she always uses the excuse that she’s tired from work”). Like… how can you be shocked she doesn’t want to sleep with you if that’s your attitude

The deadbedroom sub is pretty telling about this matter. You’ll also notice a lot of cases where the woman has a higher libido than her husband/bf. To answer your question: it really depends how big the discrepancy is. If one of you wants to have sex twice a week and the other would prefer every other day - you can work with that. If one of you wants sex twice a week and the other only once every 3 months - probably not. How you deal with it also matters. In some cases where men have the high li…

That’s why it’s so important who you pick to have children with. If nothing else I’d make sure my kid had better things to do than to watch that RP shit. When I was a kid every evening I was either playing sport, studying or with my friends, I didn’t have the time for all of that.

Involve him in sports and other activities young and ensure he’s socialised as much as possible. Being sociable from a young age is really important for development, confidence and interpersonal skills. My fiancé and I are both pretty outgoing so I hope this would be passed down. I would leave most of the rearing to him and be very happy if he inherited the same morals/values and approach to dating and socialising

I’ll inverse what actually happened with me and my fiancé. If he saw some old crappy pictures of me and wasn’t interested - then met me irl and realised I’m cute and he’s attracted to me, I wouldn’t care. We’ve both gone through our old cringy photos and laughed.

What kind of equivalency is that? Before my fiancé I barely used dating apps and I never slept with anyone I met from them. I had one LTR before him who I also met irl.

Tiktok isn’t real life. I’ve been going to coed gyms for years and haven’t had any major issues. Weird guys usually go away if you ignore them/politely reject them, no drama. Because I live in an area with a lot of BAME people my gym now has a women’s only sections. Funnily it’s much tidier than the men’s area, except men still go in there to take our equipment. I wouldn’t mind segregating them so I can enjoy clean equipment that’s been put back instead of having to go for a treasure hunt for ma…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 09:14 PM

Nope. It was only a few weeks. I wouldn’t even call it a rejection as he didn’t reach out, it was our friends clumsy attempt at matchmaking. I knew I was his “type” but not that he was attracted to me or liked me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 07:29 PM
2

Not sure, but we laugh about it now. He knows his Instagram back then was awful and didn’t blame me for not being interested lol. I didn’t have a roster of men at the time, nobody rejected me or dumped me I just wasn’t feeling him based on some random pictures and I turned out to be wrong. It happens. I didn’t “settle” or treat him as a safe bet, I fancied him when I met him in person.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 06:46 PM

Potentially? It’s not the same but when I met my fiancé at a party, my friend sent me his Instagram beforehand saying “you’re his type what do you think of him etc” and I said I wasn’t interested. His pictures were old and unflattering and without meeting him there was no way for me to know how well we clicked. Obviously we met and he was way hotter irl and we clearly got on well

I think the reason more people are single is more complex than just the rise of dating apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 03:57 PM
4

Where do dating apps come into this? Nearly Half of all couples meet online so I think there’s something to be said for them. Sounds like you’re saying people shouldn’t date at all. Meeting someone through friends or work is arguably staying in your comfort zone as you have things in common and familiarity.

What’s makes you believe people don’t know themselves well enough to know what they want from a partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 03:48 PM

It depends - they can also be used as a way to meet people outside of your usual circles. It really depends how someone choose to use them. It’s also not unreasonable to want to be with someone you’re compatible with.

Unless you mean drag/super glam makeup - regular makeup isn’t painting and reshaping a whole new face. For most women day to day it’s just covering up skin imperfections and mascara. Idk any woman who looks drastically different without her “everyday” makeup unless she regularly wears full beat. OP is talking about everyday makeup.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 12:49 AM

What’s lacking exactly? There are now endless lines of skincare for men, haircare, beard grooming, gym/fitness info. Plastic surgery is becoming more common among men, even height extending surgery. There are even makeup lines specifically for men who want to subtly enhance their looks - https://warpaintformen.com/products/daily-essentials-set. I’m genuinely curious what you think men are being denied of in terms of artificial means to improve their looks.

Women also get shamed if they don’t. If you work a white collar job you’re expected to look the part. Like men being clean shaven wearing an ironed shirt. Not wearing makeup to work makes you look sloppy and you haven’t made an effort so it’s damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

I don’t think there is a rigid “ideal” in terms of logistics - everyone’s different. Ultimately the best relationships are where both people are dedicated to building a good life together, have shared goals and values. Logistics matter a LOT - if one of you wants to live abroad and the other wants to stay in your hometown that’s an issue. How do you manage your finances, how would you want to raise your kids, do you share religious/political beliefs enough it’s not a point of contention. People …

Abortion in North Korea was banned in 2015 and some birth controls are banned (IUDs). I suspect that’s why they have a higher birth rate despite their living conditions. They also have a much higher infant mortality rate that countries in the west - (15.4/1000 compared to 4.2/1000 in the UK).

/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 01:23 PM

It’s about realising you were operating in a reality that didn’t exist. Thinking you had a good friend, and then realising that friend had ulterior motives and just wanted to fuck you. Forget who’s entitled to XYZ - do you not realise that’s the reason she’s upset?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 01:21 PM

I asked what’s attractive about sleeping with a woman who isn’t actively consenting and participating, aka sexually assaulting her If someone’s a murderer they’re clearly tapped in the head already, the SA isn’t about sex drive it’s about the gratification from overpowering/violating someone, which sane people don’t have
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 11:13 AM

Not me but my aunt - she’s a nurse and back in the day she really fancied this doctor. /r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:36 AM

Men don’t SA women because they’re horny, it’s rarely anything to do with sexual drive/attraction it’s about the power of violating someone in the most invasive way possible. If that were the case all men with a sex drive would SA people. I think some men would be happier with a lower sex drive and be able to work on their lives without being motivated by sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:33 AM

I don’t really understand talking about it at all. I’ve never taken an interest in who my fiancé slept with before he met me. I made him get an STI test before we slept together, he was all clear, that’s all that mattered to me.

You can’t do in utero paternity tests until 8 weeks at the very minimum, which is past the threshold of when a woman can have an abortion in many states.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 06:13 PM

It wouldn’t be fair to allow financial abortion past the threshold of when a woman can have an abortion. Because what is she supposed to do at 6 months pregnant and all the sudden he pulls the rug? And before people bring up late term abortions - they are very rare and usually in the case where the mother or foetus’ health is at risk.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 06:10 PM

Men also have a choice in who they sleep with and if they wear a condom, what? Why are you unable to understand it takes two to create a child?

Men can wear condoms or just not have sex with anyone they don’t want to raise a family with. What would men having the legal right to abort look like? It’s not “equal” because biologically we are not equal. You do not have uteruses. Giving children up for adoption is massively stigmatised and there are many men who abandon their kids. I know a guy with a 12 year old daughter he has 0 involvement with bitching about his taxes go towards public schools as him “paying for other people’s kids to go…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 12:10 PM

There are multiple medical journals about women in the 50s being on various drugs - it’s not feminist propaganda. I don’t get any joy from this fact, it’s a huge shame women back then were hooked on those drugs for whatever reason. Not really, your proposal would result in a lot of people being miserable at best, trapped and harmed by abusive partners at worst. Most likely though, majority of people just wouldn’t get married at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 03:35 PM
7

Ok, so if you were married to someone physically and emotional abusive, you’d be happy to forfeit your right to leave?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 03:01 PM
6

There’s a rise of women out earning their partners so how far does “compensating” go here?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 01:53 PM
15

The result would be victims of abuse unable to leave. Other than that, nobody would get married in the first place if divorce were illegal.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 01:52 PM
8

Maybe that’s an indicator of todays men?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 01:51 PM
7

First sentence also apply to men?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 01:09 PM
16

Making divorce illegal surely wouldn’t have any negative repercussions you’re right
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 01:07 PM
3

If it makes someone happy and shows them you care why would I get caught up on economic efficiency? Also we don’t really do gifts but experiences/trips
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:58 PM
17

I’ve done a decent bit of travel and there have been endless times I’ve seen a couple in public and the woman is carrying bags, a baby and has another kid hanging off her while the husband is enjoying his holiday. Given how many marriages end it’s not really ideal for all of your health insurance to be dependent on your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:57 PM
15

Agreed
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:49 PM
16

Because she wouldn’t be subservient to him?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:11 PM
4

Because I’m a generous person and I like to spoil my fiancé, why is it wrong I enjoy to be spoiled back?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:10 PM
19

Why is having a job playing a “pretend independent game” does that go for everyone or just women?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:08 PM
15

Like I specified - im talking about working mothers who work all day and raise their kids. The majority of households are dual income you realise? And there’s a difference between a good, present parent and a parent who gets their 7 year old kid to microwave their own dinner.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 11:06 AM
6

Where did you get that idea
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 09:43 AM
14

Just mirroring your choice of words. How is following instructions from her employer on par with being subservient to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 09:32 AM
12

Most jobs don’t require women to get on their knees for their boss
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 09:27 AM
8

You realise how ridiculous it is to calculate based on your pre tax income? That still less than what a parent spends on their own kid. If you can’t afford that, don’t have kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 09:02 AM
11

You realise child support is only 12% of your gross weekly income? (for 1 child, for 2 it’s 16% and 3 it’s 19%). Most parents spend far more than just 19% of their income on raising 3 kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 08:43 AM
13

The majority of households are dual income, this expectation for men to sustain his partner doesn’t exist and you’re all getting yourself into a twist by your own imagination.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 08:37 AM
10

So is having the diet of an unsupervised kid - so sounds like we agree it’s not a match
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:48 AM

I couldn’t even entertain the “fact” about “nutrition”
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 12:20 AM

There’s a difference between not subsidising someone and then just being a cheapskate
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 10:49 PM

They’re running on vapes and red bull lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 10:47 PM
11

It’s not really about nutrition - I like cooking and trying a lot of different foods, not really compatible with someone who only eats chicken strips and chips. Tipping isn’t much of a thing in my country so that wouldn’t bother me.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 02:56 PM

A lot of men object to that statement so I have a fairly neutral view that it differs from each individual. I know men who wouldn’t sleep with a woman unless he actually liked her and found her attractive and men who’ll sleep with anyone for the sake of “getting their numbers up” so 🤷🏼‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 02:05 PM

A pick me imo is a woman who puts down other women to lift herself up to seem more “appealing”. It’s a sign of deep insecurity and bitterness toward women they feel threatened by. Non pick me “I don’t like clubbing” Pick me “I don’t like clubbing, unlike other women I’m not trashy and begging for attention etc etc” or whatever drivel they come out with, idk I don’t hang out with those sorts. On the flip side, I think “pick me” is overused as an insult to describe women who simply like/want diffe…

Same advice I’d give anyone - clean your house before inviting someone in. Be confident enough in yourself that a partner isn’t there to complete you but rather be a nice addition to a nice life. Be interesting, do things outside of work and social media. This should be bare minimum but make sure your finances are in order and you’re self sufficient, putting yourself in a position where you’re financially dependent on a man makes you way too vulnerable. Always have your own savings and income no…

Doesn’t everyone like a bit of an ego boost?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 08:59 AM
2

Not really - my point is everyone has different types and preferences, one persons 5 is another persons 9. An individual woman still knows what she finds attractive or unattractive, it’s just different to what another woman might deem it. Guys here claim they’re always seeing Greek gods with ugly women but if the guy thinks his gf is stunning, what does it matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 11:44 PM
16

On average men have higher body counts than women. Guys being hornier doesn’t necessarily mean they’d be willing to see a prostitute. Biologically we’re wired to be pickier as we carry the risk of pregnancy as well as other risks. Put it this way - if a girl wants to hookup she can go on an app and find someone willing in 10 minutes. For a guy, it’s a little different as well documented in this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 11:21 PM
3

And how do you know how many men are attractive to women? Women have different types, my friends have dated guys I thought were ugly but they thought were gorgeous and that’s fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 11:08 PM
8

I guess it’s very much dependent on age. I met my fiancé aged 20 when we were both far from finished products and I like to think we’re still working to improve ourselves and be better partners for one another. I’d probably be less interested in a man in his mid 30s that still didn’t have his shit together given my own trajectory.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 11:07 PM
2

Most men I know are in relationships so..?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 11:03 PM
4

I don’t agree with “most men” but overall yeah
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 10:19 PM
7

More if someone only views you as sexy and takes nothing else into consideration. You’re just a body he likes the look of, nothing more. we’re always told most men would shag anyone willing so it’s barely a compliment.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 10:19 PM
151

I’d guess because we’re constantly told that men would shag anything with a pulse, so knowing that a man wants to fuck you is… underwhelming. Whereas women are generally pickier with who they sleep with so it’s more of a novelty if a woman wants to sleep with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 10:11 PM

Where exactly? Chances are if the woman didn’t make more money she’d be manipulative regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 07:42 PM

Just bc your partner makes more than you doesn’t mean they have to maintain your lifestyle?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 05:58 PM

What do you mean “financial backing” you can manipulate someone regardless of how much money either of you have
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 04:39 PM
4

Ah yes because prostitutes have been out of work since it became illegal
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 10:36 PM
2

I was addressing the above posters point about being bad at vetting etc. He knows there were red flags etc but bc he was young he overlooked it. Same way I overlooked red flags in my ex because I was young and inexperienced. It’s always the cheaters fault either way ofc and some of them are incredibly sneaky with it so it’s not always as simple as being good at vetting
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 05:05 PM
4

Oh yeah a lot of people have a tendency to bleed on people who didn’t cut them. Definitely important to weed those ones out.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 03:05 PM
3

Fair enough that’s your prerogative. My fiancé was cheated on by his ex but he was very young at the time so I don’t really blame him for it, he’s been to therapy since and it’s never been an issue for us. My ex didn’t cheat (that I know of lol) but he told massive lies. I could use that as a reason to be paranoid and neurotic but I dealt with it and didn’t carry it into future relationships, again I was very young so I have some grace for myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 03:00 PM
8

I think it’s only an issue if they don’t move on and treat all future partners like they’re waiting for the opportunity to cheat. I couldn’t deal with someone paranoid breathing down my neck 24/7.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 02:52 PM

You realise family courts want children to have both parents in their life? There is no boogeyman trying to snatch kids away from fathers unless there’s neglect or abuse. The vast majority of fathers who request custody receive it. If I have kids it would be with someone who would prioritise their well-being above all else, whatever that looked like. Children are not pawns or leverage.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 09:30 PM

Women receiving unwanted attention is cheating 💀😂
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 06:58 AM

What do you mean by “playing a second fiddle” to his wife exactly? If they’re both successful and bringing good money into the household
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 11:11 PM

My fiancé has punched someone at a bar for groping me, it didn’t do much for me and I would have rather he handled it in a calmer way.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 07:55 PM

I live in a dodgy part of a capital city and I’ve lived in other cities before this. It happens for sure but if you’re with someone your odds are much lower. Everyone I know who’s been mugged was alone when it happened. Also, what’s this got to do with me being a higher earner? And assuming they’re attacking both of us - wouldn’t he also be defending himself?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 07:53 PM

I like to think we both have the good sense to run. Muggers in my city carry knives. I always find these examples so funny. How many times does the average person get mugged? And the odds would be even lower if we were together.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 07:28 PM

I’m talking about instances of men cheating
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 05:55 PM

Do you understand the difference between living by yourself and living with a family you’re partially responsible for
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:56 PM

If you’re someone who wants a family then you want a partner who can contribute to your household, no? Shits expensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:49 PM

In a LTR, logistics matter and part of that involves finances.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:43 PM

Yep, I wasn’t being gender specific. If you treat people badly, that’s on you. Not sure how this is controversial.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:42 PM

If you choose to treat people badly, that’s on you
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:33 PM

Can be trickier if you want children as that requires time off work which could cause financial strain
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 03:11 PM

I should make it clear I’m not the woman I’m describing in the post it’s just a hypothetical. That’s the question I’m asking as well here.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 02:53 PM

That’s crazy lmao, at least his ego is safe now ig
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 02:37 PM

On combined 260k surely they weren’t wanting for anything? Plus MBAs aren’t cheap.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 02:30 PM

Developing countries having higher birth rates is usually down to lack of education/use of birth control and having more “traditional” expectations in place.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 01:29 PM

I used to nanny for super rich families which I why I know arguments about money are definitely not exclusive to people who lack it. But it would be interesting to have a more comprehensive breakdown of families who divorce where the woman earns more.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 01:26 PM

Only if it’s used by different men though! /s
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 01:17 PM

What’s that to do with my comment? We’re talking about me quitting my high earning job.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:55 PM

Try the last sentence of my previous comment again. Besides, my parents gave up a lot for me to have a good education, why would I throw away those opportunities to appease a man’s fragile ego? I also plan to take care of my parents when they’re old. Should I expect my husband to do that too?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:50 PM

Comparing apples to oranges here. Besides, I’m very happy making my own money and spending it how I like, there is no attitude about it. I like my work and find it interesting/challenging, I’d go insane if I wasn’t working.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:43 PM

Not on his salary alone, no. You realise the majority of households are dual income?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:41 PM

My single friends who are successful/high earners have been treated worse than any other set of women I know. I wonder if it’s some type of revenge fantasy these men have, or a way to “level”? Glad to hear you found your person!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:37 PM

I’d say my silly habit of paying rent is the main thing stopping me
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:31 PM

Eh, if he’d be happy to pay for things I like then sure. I wouldn’t sacrifice my lifestyle to appease a man’s ego. I’m not a frivolous spender by any means but I have a couple “splurges” I enjoy. My fiancé makes decent money, he’s by no means struggling to get by so I don’t have to subsidise him in anyway - it’s never been an issue. We’re both young and maybe down the line he’ll outearn me, who knows.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:30 PM

The main cause of divorce tends to be financial issues - how much money you have tends not to come into it. Marriages are also at higher chance of divorce when the woman earns more but studies don’t fully determine why, other than it’s societally expected for men to be the main breadwinners.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:27 PM

A lot of men here believe if a woman doesn’t sleep with you early on she’s just not attracted to you and she’s probably sleeping with someone else
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:24 PM

We have our systems in place to ensure that our relationship is as happy and mutually beneficial as it can be. Neither of us want children so that’s a big factor for us as children typically put a huge strain on marriages. Logistical stuff can be protected with prenups and if we do divorce one day, I wouldn’t regret experiencing the love and joy we’ve had. Better to have love and lost etc etc
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 12:23 PM

Love a gamble
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 11:59 AM

Relationships should be a mutual effort to always be there for one another and improve eachothers lives whenever you can. That’s the approach my fiancé have in our relationship and it works for us. I would never expect him to put my needs before him and vice versa. If we’re not improving eachothers lives what’s the point?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 11:46 AM

I mean, you chose the example of Gone Girl and you’re cherry picking arguments. Pick me’s are women who put down other women to make themselves seem more desirable aka “I’m not like the others!! Pick me!” They tend to be incredibly insecure and needy for validation from men yet somehow always seem to be single.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 10:43 AM

Women are still fertile at 28 lmao, and I didn’t say she necessarily had 0 past relationship experience just nothing current. And why does a relationship equate to putting other people before your own desires? You seem to think relationships entirely hinge on the woman’s behaviour and not the man’s.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 10:39 AM

Her personality type is sociopath - she’s not representative of the average woman. And again, she didn’t actually earn much more she just has a rich family.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 10:06 AM

I make more than my fiancé
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 10:04 AM

They both lost their jobs in the recession, his bar flopped and he asked for her trust fund to keep their heads above water. In the book, her parents go broke and need trust fund back and he got pissy about it. Besides - the woman is a literal sociopath and she didn’t actually earn more (they were both journalists) she just came from a wealthy family. Okay, so vows only hold water unless the other woman is really hot?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 09:59 AM

Can you link one? I’ve only seen it from the angle that it’s men who are reluctant to be with women better educated/better paid than them
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 09:47 AM

Didn’t he steal a ton of money from her and cheat on her with a younger woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 09:43 AM

I’m engaged and work very long hours in IB, he works in cybersecurity. We both accept that our work lives are taxing but we choose to be eachothers rock. I’m so glad that when I have a rubbish day at work he’s there to give me a cuddle and cheer me up and vice versa. I’ve found being in a LTR reduces your odds of any awkward interactions with the opposite sex, especially as I work almost exclusively with men. I guess it could be an issue if one of us got a job opportunity in another country but …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/23 10:47 AM

Another projection of insecurities how refreshing. Been with my fiancé 3 years and I’ve never thought about my exes or compared them unless it’s in a positive way for my fiancé. There’s a reason I’m with him and not them.

You realise most women don’t engage in hookup culture/hedonism? You’ve just been warped by social media. Our generation has less sex and drinks less than every generation before us.

A lot of relationships struggle after having children because the husband struggles to adjust to no longer being the wife’s main priority and feels neglected by her. The wife then feels that she’s not being given a break as she’s still recovering from birth and now having an extremely demanding infant to keep alive and while this is happening her husbands sad he’s not getting laid enough.

If a guy is “sweet on someone” he can use his intuition to see if she feels the same, he’s still able to control his actions. Let’s inverse it - if a girl is stuck in a FWB situation with a guy that she likes but he just wants sex, you’d argue that nobody is forcing her to keep sleeping with him and giving him “girlfriend treatment” while not being his girlfriend so the predicament is on her. Not the guy who’s stringing her along because he likes sleeping with her and getting his dishes done. Un…

Idk about that, every time I’ve been hassled on a night out it’s always been women who I don’t even know who’ve stepped in and either told the guy where to go or stuck by me. Men are always either unaware or just don’t care and that’s fine - I don’t think I’m entitled to protection from anyone, I’m just saying I’ve only ever received it from women or my romantic partners.

Yeah, so date someone who fits those standards and it’s not an issue. The issue is if you dated someone with A cups and then let her know you only like women with DDs.

Women have had their pelvises broken from the rapes. It is absolutely torture. Especially as many of these women have been burnt alive and killed after.

Your comment is literally you siding with male Karen’s saying they’re just being “interpreted badly”. But please let know how I “misinterpreted” males starting brawls, groping women or yelling at a bartender and smashing glasses.

I worked in a bar all throughout uni and there are way more male Karens. Everyone I know who’s worked a customer service job has had way more trouble from males. The worse thing a woman ever did was be sick or fall down some stairs. Even the most shitfaced ones would be apologetic and ask me what eyeliner I had on lol. We had countless males who got kicked out for being a lech, starting a fight, being rude to staff etc. Sport nights were complete nightmares. Get your head out your ass and stop a…

/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 03:48 PM

Not really. Both Timothee Chalamet and Jason Momoa are heartthrobs are they’re pretty different to me. Some women like a guy who’s the human embodiment of a cigarette and others like a guy who’s husky. My exes look nothing alike. If women only went for 666 guys we’d have like 4 children being born a year.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 03:27 PM
6

I mean yeah? In the same way most men’s “ideal” is a slim woman with big boobs and ass, why do people get mad that attractive people … are attractive. It just comes across as sour grapes.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 03:13 PM
9

You’re only seeing 666 guys in relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 03:08 PM

I think for those guys their only exposure to women is those dumb viral snippets of like 4 women saying they want a tall guy that makes 600k so they’ve now taken that as universal truth
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 02:56 PM
22

The matching hypothesis literally shows that couples within eachothers “leagues” are usually drawn to eachother. Yes everyone’s “ideal” is some smoking hot supermodel, Oscar Isaac or woman equivalent and it doesn’t mean that we don’t find people out of our league attractive but the majority of couples are in the same league. I’ve only ever seen couples that aren’t “matched” when the woman is better looking but y’all aren’t ready for that conversation.

Funny story about the pupil theory - my aunt is a nurse and back when she fancied this doctor she would put eye drops in her eyes that make your pupils expand (you use them for MRIs) hoping he’d get the hint. Didn’t work out but have to admire the hustle.

Y’all act like no man under 5,11 has ever been near a woman. How does this dispute that you have more couples where the woman is more attractive than the man than vice versa? Men here even admit themselves they’re very visual and prioritise looks in partners. I know unattractive guys who can make up for it by being funny, fun to be around, smart whatever. If you’re an ugly woman you’re just an ugly woman regardless of your other qualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 12:25 PM

Outside of social media “influencers” which are a tiny minority of women, most women think they’re worse looking than they are. Hence why it’s normal to see a gorgeous woman with an average guy and much less common to see a handsome guy dating an average woman.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 12:01 AM

What’s your social life like? If you don’t get out much it’s not that surprising. On the other hand, some really pretty girls can be off putting as guys feel like there’s no point in even trying, especially if they have RBF. When I had a “glow up” I got less attention after. Usually, girls who are pretty but approachable get the most attention.

A lot of the time when we’re upset about something it’s not that we don’t have the solution - we just feel shit about it and want to vent, it’s that straightforward. For example “my job is shit I hate my boss” “okay so find a new one” like yeah no shit that’s the answer, but chances are she’s already considered it - maybe she can’t find a new job that pays as well, that’s a good distance etc. plus applying for jobs and going through interviews takes a lot of time. Let her feel shit about her job…

https://www.forhims.co.uk/blog/porn-induced-erectile-dysfunction It kinda makes sense. If you’re only used to seeing flawless bodies in porn and then you hookup with someone who doesn’t have big fake tits and non existent labia, in your eyes she’s going to be “less attractive” as you’ve conditioned yourself to get hard for women in porn. Or you’re so used to watching extreme porn that vanilla sex isn’t exciting enough. This is only the case in actual porn addicts - I don’t think normal porn user…

We’re in the UK and she was 20 at the time - I’m pretty sure she went private and paid out of pocket 2-3k. Very unlikely the NHS would have covered it and if so, she would have been on a waiting list for years. How a vagina feels is also related to where you are in your menstrual cycle - when your period is close your cervix drops, whereas it’s typically higher during your follicular/ovulation phase. For me sex feels a lot “deeper” during during my luteal phase and my fiancé says it feels tighter for him 🤷🏼‍♀️ the more ya know. /r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 10:15 AM

People tore her apart for having a “mom bod” bc she has big boobs and a stomach that isn’t completely flat. They were absolutely not praising her.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 02:04 PM

Probably because after years of wearing baggy clothing, when she did one shoot in something revealing everyone lost their shit and made comments on her body
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 02:03 PM

I can see why her view is skewed due to the endless scrutiny and criticism she’s dealt with over her weight and appearance since she was underaged. There are memes all over Reddit about her gaining weight while she was still a normal, healthy weight. That’s bound to screw someone up.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 07:37 AM

Most women in porn don’t make much money and often leave the industry broke. Calling it an economic opportunity is a joke. Where are my feelings mentioned in the OP? It’s based off the fact the industry is exploitative and has resulted in many women being physically hurt and traumatised.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 05:39 PM

Hadn’t considered that angle but good point. When I learned recently is that a pornstars career is typically less than a year, and they don’t even get paid that much (a few hundred per scene, depends what it is) and what they do get paid mostly goes into maintenance - hair, nails, waxes, their own outfits/lingerie etc aren’t cheap. Most leave the porn industry broke and now have a much harder time finding a job. I don’t think someone’s history of sex work should have any bearing on their career …

Female teachers having sex with boys is reprehensible but you can justify having sex with a 14 year old?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 03:48 PM

Good thing I picked a different career then, I’m the youngest on my team by several years and considered a kid at my job
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 02:09 PM

Not opposed to it, but I imagine that stance would cause an uproar. If porn were completely banned, it would still be produced and distributed but illegally which would bring about more exploitation as there would be no regulations in place protecting the actors. Child porn is illegal but we all know there’s no shortage of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 01:31 PM

Here in the UK you can consent to sex at 16 but you can’t do porn then - two separate things
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 12:20 PM

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 09:51 AM

There’s no way for future employers to ever know about your previous sex life if it’s not been recorded and distributed online. Also, far fewer people participate in hookup culture than you realise. Statistically we’re all hooking up way less than our parents generation. In porn it’s not sex for enjoyment - it is a performance people for money. The sex itself is usually very dull, imagine having a camera 1 ft away from your ass while you’re trying to fuck and you’re under studio lighting and con…

Consent for regular sex? 18 is fine. But let’s not act like having sex is anything comparable to joining an industry known for exploiting vulnerable women and having lifelong impacts on them. Hence why the age threshold should be higher so women can spend at the first 3 years of their adult lives exploring other option before jumping into porn.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 08:56 AM

Not opposed to it, just think it’s an impossible task. Even by banning the production of new porn there’s still a crazy amount currently online and what people have downloaded.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 08:42 AM

I guess by banning the production and distribution of porn we’d still have a crazy amount of porn that’s already out there, that people have downloaded and can reupload. Men here get so outraged when they talk about banning porn they forget that online porn has only been around 20 years or so. Before you then had to buy a movie in person and porn back then was far less violent than what’s commonly seen today.

How the performers are treated has an impact on how young viewers think sex should look, so there’s that angle. I hadn’t really considered the idea of outright banning it bc everyone would get hold of it illegally, idk what difference it would make.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:12 AM

Before my relationship I had a good circle of friends and a wide network, so when my fiancé came along he was a lovely addition to an already happy life. My fiancé was a student when we met so what he had in his bank account was student loan and minimum wage summer job. But to seriously answer your question - I wouldn’t want to subsidise a man. If I have children I don’t want to have to keep working until weeks before giving birth and having to come back after a month. Since carrying a child and the early stages would be entirely on me, I’d want to be with someone who can take the financial stress off my shoulders for that time. So whatever salar…

You’re convoluting two separate things. Nobody is applauding self proclaimed male feminists who assault women - they’re just wolves in sheep’s clothing
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 09:48 PM

Okay? I’m all for height filters being scrapped. Like others have commented it’s easy to tell if a woman is overweight via pics even if she’s sneaky with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 09:10 PM

Wouldn’t you rather get rejected before seeing someone profile than going on a date with them and they reject you after the date? It’s obvious when a guy is wearing lifts/chunky shoes for his height.

What are they, then?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 09:00 PM

Someone can be thin and still unattractive to you/not your type though. Do you then want filters for tattoos, hair colour, straight teeth etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:46 PM

One clue is if all their pics of them are sat down and never stood around other people. But otherwise that, true. I don’t have an issue with the height filter being scrapped.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:41 PM

Almost everyone Ik who’s used dating apps has been “catfished” in some form, either with looks, height, weight etc. it just comes with the territory unfortunately
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:38 PM

It’s such an ick when they lie. I’m 167cm so not that tall - I’ve dated guys my height and shorter before, I’m not bothered about height. But if you’re going to lie about something as dumb as your height what else are you going to lie about?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:35 PM

aCkShUlLy
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:33 PM

Okay well unfortunately dating apps don’t work by plucking your dream partner out and dropping them in your lap what can they feasibly do about that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:32 PM

Nearly half of couples meet via dating apps so it’s working for some men
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:15 PM

But you’re mad about women feeling the same way Also - would the weight option apply to women who don’t want to date obese men? They also exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:12 PM

Haven’t been on hinge in 5 years but isn’t it free?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:11 PM

Is swiping really that strenuous? Besides, most guys lie about their height anyway on those apps. Once went on a date with a guy who claimed to be 5’11 and when we met he was eye level with me in flats. I’m 5’5.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:08 PM

BMI is kinda bs. My fiancé is technically “overweight” but has a six pack. I still don’t see the issue with just looking at someone’s pictures and deciding from there?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 06:05 PM

A weight preference is a bit more ambiguous. A 150lb 5,0’ woman would be pretty overweight whereas a 150lb 5,9’ woman would be thin. Then you have muscle mass etc. at my heaviest I had visible abs and triceps. Idk why it would be necessary at all, can’t you tell by someone’s pictures if their body is what you’re into? ‘Fair’ doesn’t really factor in.

Really cherry picked there, didn’t you. There’s nothing that actually proves the link between BC and preferring feminine features. You’re acting like the number is significant enough that it’s impacting how many men can find partners. Which is also weird, as many sex workers settle down with someone. It just may not be you. Without seeing stats I literally don’t know, it’s not really a sector I’m involved in. I know a lot of porn stars are moving to OF to make more money and have more agency and I think that’s great.

Politically neutral but ideologically left learning (UK based, all our politicians are clowns). Pro choice, pro LGBT etc. Due to having family members who are LGBT I wouldn’t bring someone homophobic around them. I wouldn’t say it’s really affected my dating life just that I know what kind of people I’d be compatible with. For example if I had an unplanned pregnancy, it’s going to be awkward navigating that someone who’s anti abortion, so these things have real life application and matter.

Women can’t really help if they get hit on. Multiple times I’ve told a guy I have a bf/fiancé and trust me they don’t give a flying fuck lol. Obviously it’s not okay if they reciprocate while in a relationship but what do you want them to do about getting hit on? My grandmothers take on feminism was “I don’t want to be treated equal to a man, I want to be treated better” she was a cryptographer in WW2 and a baddie. Most women’s g-spots are only 3-4 inches deep. Hence why most people can hit it with just fingers. So if you’re sleeping with a guy that can’t hit it, unless you’re g spot is unusually far in you’re probably dealing with a smaller one.

Funny that men in this sub never have this energy for DV victims or single mothers. What happened to accountability and spotting red flags? Like I said - gold diggers wouldn’t talk to a guy again if he split the bill or took her somewhere cheap and cheerful. It’s very different to actually abusive people who hide their true colours.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 05:17 AM
3

Sure, and I get that because that’s exactly where I fall into. But I don’t make judgements on people based on their history. Be real, the majority of guys who are fussy about n-count isn’t because they think sex is special because they also think men should have as much sex as they can.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 05:16 AM
2

Gold diggers aren’t inherently abusive and they’re not going to go after broke guys, they’re going to go after guys who’ll gladly take them on £1000 dates and buy them designer bags without breaking a sweat. I’ve known gold diggers and they can sniff out a guy with money from a mile away. They don’t go for guys who run up credit card debt to keep up with them. Questionable values and prioritises but it’s very clear from the get go what you’re getting with them.

And my preference is men who don’t view women as objects with mileage and depreciating value. I’m fully entitled to it as you are to your preferences.

Not everyone who likes sex is promiscuous or visits prostitutes. Most of prostitutes customers are married men so it’s not like those men are unable to find a woman without paying by the hour.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/23 10:43 PM

Men like that spend so much time dreaming up rage/revenge fantasies that entirely contradict eachother. Don’t want to financially support a woman but career girls are yucky because god forbid she earns more than me!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/23 10:35 PM
25

Probably not great! Jokes aside idk why so many men here stress about gold diggers when most don’t have any gold to be dug and not being financially exploited is very preventable. Don’t date broke people or if you do, don’t pay for all their stuff.

This is such a ridiculous comparison I can’t entertain this Weirdly, despite having a very tame past (catholic school managed to beat purity culture into me for a few of my younger years) I wouldn’t be with someone who had a bee in his bonnet about body count. It tells me how he views women, and that’s not compatible with me.

You familiar with the phrase “date rape”? That’s a bad date for a woman. Women have been murdered on dates.

My friend went on a date with a guy who not only insisted on splitting the bill but fully got his calculator out to figure out who owed what. He’d been drinking pints, she doesn’t drink so she’d only had a couple diet sodas that cost £5 overall. Instant ick.

Because of the economy being fucked, most blue collar jobs don’t support a family of 5 comfortable like it used to. You’re over generalising - I’ve seen women be done dirty by guys significantly less attractive than them. ‘DUFF’ doesn’t necessarily mean you’re fat or even ugly, just that you’re the least attractive woman in the friendship group. I’ve seen women who’ve felt like the ‘DUFF’ talk about how they’ve been treated by guys and the realisation that if a guy doesn’t find you attractive he’ll either ignore you or be openly rude to you. As for your last point - this is off topic but a lot of people in ca…

Unattractive women get treated like crap compared to attractive ones. You don’t even have to be ugly, if a guy isn’t into you they completely ignore you or be rude. The ‘DUFF’ refers to women. Look up the term “getting pigged” also only happens to women. Sure, someone desperate enough will sleep with you, but on the downlow and you’d have a much harder time finding a relationship. I’ve seen the way less attractive girls have been treated by guys they’ve slept with and it’s unbelievably cruel. Li…

People who actually go outside know that plenty of men who are under 6ft, broke, ‘unattractive’ can date girls/sleep with them. Women get slut shamed even when they haven’t slept with many people. He does not want to have to keep doing it when he’s with me. We operate as a team, not as someone he has to “guide” or “teach”, I think it would do his head in. Says a lot about someone if they seek being a teacher/mentor in their own relationship. Most likely that they’re lacking that “leadership” feeling in other parts of their life. And again. What happens in a few years when the partner is older and wiser and has learned what he has to teach?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 04:45 PM

I’m not uncomfortable. I’ve slept with less than 5 people and I’m engaged so I don’t have a dog in the fight. But I really doubt that if I’d had 3 more hookups in my single years I’d suddenly be doomed for divorce. Men may not leave a marriage they’re unhappy in but that doesn’t mean that they’re not making it a miserable time for the wife or they’re stepping out. You seem convinced that in pretty much all divorces, the woman must be the villain.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 04:01 PM

I accept that that sexual history can point to indicators about someone, but I don’t buy arbitrary rules like if you sleep with more than 5 men you’re 7x more likely to get divorced. I don’t think there’s a set threshold like many claim. 7 partners at 18 is very different to 7 partners at 30 for example. Divorces are largely filed by women but that doesn’t always mean the divorce was initiated by them. I personally know multiple cases where the man wanted the divorce and acted out until the woma…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 03:57 PM

There’s something to be said for correlation v causation. I could do some research and find that men who’ve watched more than 5 Adam Sandler movies are more likely to get divorced. Does this strictly mean Adam Sandler movies are the cause of divorce? Or is it just two separate sets of data that happen to positively correlate? Because the “correlation” seems to only point to women’s sexual history having an impact on their likelihood of divorce, not men’s
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 03:47 PM

Have you not seen the stats about getting married young being much more likely to end in divorce? This is nothing to do with sexual history so I’m not getting into that

Yeah it’s funny we’re told that men age like wine and women age like milk. Women typically take much better care of themselves, especially their skin. Skincare and preventative ageing measures are especially becoming more widespread (to an extreme - you now have teenagers buying retinol and anti ageing serums which is insane and kinda depressing). I think good skincare and weight training are the best ways a woman can age nicely, both are becoming more popular. Most men have never made friends w…

They don’t struggle in finding someone to hook up with but I believe they’re more likely to be mistreated or struggle to find relationships. Personally I’ve seen that big women have no issue in actually attracting men. Their DMs are full, they get asked for their number when they go out etc. But what I’ve heard is that a lot of men are scared of what others will say about them if they’re seen with a big girl, so they’ll try to keep the relationship under wraps. It’s more that I’ve seen men perpetuate this idea that if a woman isn’t hitched by 30, her dating prospects are doomed and she’ll forever be a cat mum. Whereas this “wall” doesn’t exist for men because they can simply keep dating women the same age, they think they’re all leonardo dicaprio and can keep dating women in their 20s until they die.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 08:17 AM

No I don’t think the women from their parent country wants them, that’s why they’re passport bros 😂 I couldn’t care less what they do, I just find it funny they’re desperately trying to push this narrative that all western women are sobbing at the airport begging the fine specimens not to leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 07:21 AM

Where did I say it’s not normal to want kids? That said, me not wanting children isn’t because I’m shallow or narcissistic. My main reason is that genetic disorders run in my family and while I got lucky, I still run the risk of passing it down to my children. There are plenty of good reasons to not want children, it’s not a marker of someone’s character
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 07:18 AM

I’m not trying to mislead anyone. I never saw myself as someone who’d be the first of my friends to get engaged but that’s how it worked out and I’m very happy. However, I’m well aware that my life trajectory isn’t the only one that will bring happiness. Also, my fiancé and I don’t want children. We may foster/adopt if we change our minds but don’t plan to have any of our own.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:49 PM

As in I met guys out and about (I was at uni), they showed interest and I’d make it clear I wasn’t interested. If that’s how you want to interpret it, sure. In the same way he felt I “met his qualifications and standards”.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:44 PM

They’ll say something about how they have so few options they basically are forced to be in a relationship with whoever’s game
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:41 PM

Almost a year. Not sure why that’s relevant. Like I said, I wasn’t looking for anything when I met him, I was busy finishing my degree, working, and enjoying spending more time with my friends. A few opportunities cropped up but I never took them further. When I met him I knew he was someone I wanted a future with and luckily the feeling was mutual, so things worked out.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:34 PM

Why is my personal situation relevant here? I can still observe others and comment on it. I just couldn’t be arsed dealing with an onslaught of “c*pe” comments or men telling me I’m bitter because I can’t get a man to commit
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:28 PM

Sure. Women really don’t care about passport bros. They give the same energy as kids who announce they’re running away from home because their mum wouldn’t let them stay up past their bedtime. Genuinely, have a wonderful time abroad, best of luck to you
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:24 PM

Nope, after that I was fully single, not even talking to guys until I met my fiancé through friends.

Okay, what can you give them that they couldn’t find in men from their own country? I’m not racist, I’m just not naive.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:14 PM

Are they? I see a lot more men claiming that women are worried about passport bros than actual women complaining about them. We’re not worried that all the good men are leaving in droves, we just think it’s lame of those men to move to poorer countries to find a woman who just want a meal ticket and a green card.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:09 PM

Women don’t magically impregnate themselves. And nope, I’m just referring to guys who call women “future cat ladies” etc. I even said I don’t know what their intention behind saying that is.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:02 PM
4

Which repercussions are you referring to
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 09:00 PM

I believe it’s more that women have realised that you can lead a fulfilling life outside of a relationship and therefore they don’t have to be with someone they’re not attracted to or don’t enjoy being with.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 08:59 PM

Even though I was young when I left my ex I knew I’d rather be single for the rest of my life than spend another day with him - and he had asked me marry him. Despite having a “choice” neither were great in that moment.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 08:58 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 08:35 PM

This isn’t really the point of the post. It’s more that men fear being old and single more than women do and that women are generally better equipped to lead fulfilling lives without a husband and have a wide network of friends, projects etc
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/23 08:34 PM

I have many friends who were much happier kids after their parents divorced. Children are perceptive, they know when their parents are miserable.

If anything an ugly guy is more likely to cheat. An attractive guy is used to getting attention so it’s not going to phase him if a girl hits on him while he’s in a relationship. An ugly guy who gets hit on is going to have an insane ego boost and be way more likely to step out if given the chance. I think most women know better than to intentionally pick an ugly guy because they think he’ll treat them better. My current partner treats me so much better than my ex and is also way better looking.…

Most women don’t want casual sex with someone who doesn’t care about them or care that they enjoy the sex. We also risk pregnancy, more negative side affects from STIs (women are less likely to have symptoms from chlamydia but it will make you infertile). Logically I understand why a man would want a paternity test but honestly I’d be deeply upset if I were pregnant/just had a kid and my partner said “can I check you haven’t fucked anyone else?” After I’ve spent 9 months carrying and birthing his kid. Especially if I’ve never given him any reason to suspect cheating or that I’m stupid enough to get knocked up by someone else. I’d agree to the paternity test, let him pay for it, probably have some serious thoughts about the future of our relations…

I’d be curious why he was a virgin (early 20s) but it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker. With a new partner you usually have to show them how you like things done anyway. It’s not always like the movies where people hook up and have earth shattering sex with zero communication prior. The virgin shaming goes to men who are blatantly bitter and resentful about not being able to attract women and lash out at them, rather than doing some introspection. Despite everything you read here there are plenty of sh…

Yeah, the reoccurring payments that you’re on about are also paid for by the mother. The martyr act of the man breaking his back all hours to bring home money is old and untrue for the vast majority. Having a job isn’t special, everyone has one. Obviously, if you were a single income household, it obviously makes sense that the wife takes care of the home, I don’t have an issue with that and that’s not what I’m talking about here. I’ve heard that the ones to look out are those who praise their mums for being able to “do it all”. Aka, hold down a job but also still do everything around the house. Those are the ones who will want to be babied by their wives who they split the bills with. I’m in finance, on a decent salary now but I’m 22 but I’ll be on six figures by late 20s, early 30s. This entire sub is men talking about how having lots of partners increases their value while decreasing women’s. Women generally aren’t as neurotic about this stuff. As long as a guy doesn’t have STIs or a history of cheating/being an ass, we don’t care if the body count is 0 or 50. But for most guys on this sub, any body count over 5 for women is a “slut”

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 10:10 AM

The foundation of your argument is undermining the issue and data because apparently women are emotional and therefore their perception is wrong. That’s textbook gaslighting. As well as blatant generalising, which you cry about if it’s ever women generalising men 🥱
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 10:00 AM

Why would I bother engaging in an argument that starts by generalising all women and gaslighting? It doesn’t deserve further analysis.

I’m not against it, I have enough happening in my life I don’t care what other people get up to in their sex lives assuming everyone’s of age, consenting etc. I’m what’s called “demisexual” which is just an obnoxious way of saying I don’t feel sexual desire for someone unless there’s an emotional connection. I can think someone’s attractive, but for me there’s a big gap between that and actually wanting to sleep with them. From what I hear from friends, casual sex is 90% of the time just being u…

It’s interesting how what’s considered the ‘mans’ job in the home are things that rarely need doing. Unless you live on a construction site how often are you fixing stuff? Things like mowing the lawn only need done once a week max during summer and most people don’t bother that often. Dishes, laundry, cleaning etc are things that need doing all the time.

Of course. But the biggest indicator of someone being a victim of an abusive relationship is if they were abused in their childhood. It takes years of therapy and support to work through that which most people don’t have access to. If toxic/abusive love is literally all you know, it’s much harder to identify a healthy relationship and to be in one. Humans crave what’s familiar to them, not necessarily what’s good.

It’s sad how common this is but glad your friend is doing better. I’ve heard many mothers say the workload is less after divorce as there are now set times where the child is with the father and solely his responsibility. When my friends parents got divorced there were times he’d refuse to pick her up from school even though it was his designated days to take her, and her mum would have to drop whatever she was doing to pick her up. It’s not a matter about “picking better” when abusive men are very good at manipulation and appearing harmless in the initial stages of a relationship. You seriously think these guys are showing up on the first date acting like an ass and throwing hands? And then there’s a myriad of other reasons why by that points it’s very difficult for the victim to leave…

This is a deliberate strawman I’m not diminishing the mans income. Obviously - mortgages, bills, food, insurance etc are essentials. And as of now, BOTH the man and woman play a role in contributing toward those things. You need eachother. But that mutual dependence isn’t being reflected at home. If you had a joint income of 150k you could afford help to help both of you out. But realistically how many men make enough money to cover those necessities- and enough also have a comfortable life? Do men define “mid” by the body or face? I was discussing a theory with a friend that men would rather a pretty face on a chubby body rather an ugly face on a slim body. However, I think women rate men by their body rather than face. I know a lot of ugly/mid men but because they were tall and/or in good shape, they still managed to attract women. Sorry to randomly ask this I’m just intrigued what other people think.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 11:33 PM

Personally it’s something the majority of women grow out of once they realise how exhausting and miserable life is with a toxic guy. The ‘attraction’ is a disorganised attachment defined by high highs and low lows. In my case, it got old quick and I moved on to someone who isn’t toxic at all. I’m far more attracted to him and far happier :)

There’s a saying that “men have sex to feel connected, women have sex when they feel connected”. Let’s say the man isn’t putting in the effort with romantic gestures, letting his wife know she’s appreciated etc. If her emotional needs aren’t being met and she’ll feel that disconnect and be less inclined to want sex. You can’t expect her to have sex with someone who isn’t meeting her needs because “she knows he wants it”. Women tend to have responsive sex drives whereas men have more spontaneous …

Yeah I agree it’s unfair that the harmless men get painted with the same brush. But I think I speak for most women when I say I’d rather be wrong than hurt or dead. On the flip side, a lot of women get painted with the same brush that we’re all obsessed with chads, lie about our body counts, we’re all obsessed with Instagram and just want a meal ticket. The analogy I like is: imagine being given a box of chocolates but knowing a few of them are made of shit. You’re going to be wary because you can’t know which is which, not because you now have an issue with all chocolate. About clubs it just depends how you go about it. Real life woman here! I have a bf but I don’t mind men approaching. I politely turn them down, tell them I have a bf and then I don’t think about it again. It’s been biologically proven that men and women don’t mature faster than the other. However, many people have been led to believe that young women mature faster than young men. As a result, this enables many young men to behave more immaturely as they’ve essentially been given a pass, it’s what is expected of them. All the phrases we have like “locker room talk” and “boys will be boys” and even telling young girls that if a boy is mean to you, it’s because he must like you. I’ve known a 21 year…

Really? Because all the red pill preferences I see describe the ideal woman as “fit, feminine and friendly”. An ambitious well-spoken woman will be seen as argumentative and difficult in a relationship. It’s normal to enjoy shared interests in a partner - my bf and I are both super into weight lifting and working out and it’s fun to share that hobby, I’m not somehow more masculine because of it. That has nothing to do with the post. Men are also very misguided for thinking that women want stoic …

I’m talking more about a teenage girl going out with a guy in his 20s - people argue that in those relationships the maturity level is equal as women mature faster. Think 16 and 21 rather than 21 and 40. You also pick apart and make a strawman out of one minor detail of my argument. So maybe try again.

Is it not obvious? When you have a kid, staying after 5pm is not an option if you have to pick up the kid from the nanny/daycare/school. Look up “the motherhood penalty” which describes the myriad of ways mothers are penalised in the workplace for having children. It’s always been like this. Mothers who work all hours are seen as bad mothers, but a dad who does this is just a hardworking dad who wants to provide for his family. The mum who leaves work early to get her kids is a deadweight at wor…

I’d argue that women are expected to be more emotionally intelligent and illiterate as men. I mean isn’t that how we justify age gap relationships, because women mature faster? We’re also very quickly written off as hysterical, bitchy and demanding. There’s more pressure for women to behave in an ‘acceptable way’. Women are seen as emotional despite men being the ones far more prone to violence and aggression.

The observation came from a relationship therapist who’s worked with couples for 30 years during divorce, affairs etc and her main observation was this: Men have a skewed idea of what 50-50 means. A lot of women divorcing their husbands do so because they’re insisting that they equally share the labour, they don’t realise how much the wife does so they’re doing more 80-20 while insisting it’s 50-50. Feel how you feel about it, it’s just observations from thousands of mothers who divorced their h…

It’s not about ego, it’s about the power dynamic. Children ask their parents for money. Employees effectively ask their employers for money. Partners don’t. Also if she’s raising your kid - she is working. She just doesn’t get paid for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 03:57 PM

Fair. Like I say I don’t want kids but if I did, I’d want to be the one raising them and instilling my values. I just couldn’t put myself in a position where I could be financially screwed over and unemployable if my husband decided to leave.

Why do you think improving yourself is no longer being yourself? I’m very different now to how I was at 18 and I’ve improved in a myriad of ways and I hardly recognise myself back then. I’m more attractive now in a lot of ways, but I didn’t do it for the sole purpose of becoming attractive. I wouldn’t say I’m not myself anymore, just that I’ve levelled up and changed for the better.

Not really, I don’t know any women who claim to have unique taste in men. There might be small quirks and idiosyncrasies they find endearing but nothing that deep. Broadly yeah, heterosexual women want masculine traits in men in the same men want feminine traits in women. What’s the issue?

/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 12:30 PM

People need to look up “pigging” and the horrible stories around it that have happened to women Insecure men love knocking women down a peg, even women who aren’t ugly but are confident will be flooded with insults. Men make damn sure to let women know they find them unattractive. Women, for the most part, just leave the men they don’t find attractive alone. Even when I’ve been hit on, or I’m turning someone down, I would never tell them it’s because I don’t find them attractive.

I’m a girl in a LTR who recently got a sizeable inheritance - enough to buy a property in cash if I wanted but I want to buy somewhere in the city I live in so that’s not so much of an option. My bf earns slightly more. Our idea is to find somewhere and I put down let’s say 80% of the agreed downpayment (easy number let’s say it’s 100k) and he’ll put down the other 20k. Men gleefully pounce on the chance to split the bills, rent ‘because this is what you feminists wanted!’ but when it’s time to divide the household chores fairly, now you’re whingeing. The vast majority of mothers work. And even if they earn less than the father, her salary is the difference between being able to afford the mortgage payment, gas, insurance.
