I am no fan of Jezebel, but this is a response to the Deadspin censorship issue. Basically a giant middle finger to the parent company.

As they should be. A fat man is no better than a fat woman. Both are lazy, unhealthy slobs.

No. This is only an occasional reminder of truth I already know. Ban this sub from reddit, and I just keep going my own way.

Funny that I was about to post this exact quote to mock it. Why exactly do I need to start a family to be considered an adult? I have my own property and maintain private as well as professional relationships.

Great to see you don't actually read. Obvious troll, but most of us could care less either way. Once you get past the initial anger you realize hating women isn't worth your time or energy. Hence GTOW.

Small? We have more active users than r/feminism, and still growing rapidly. Some truths are hard to swallow. Vast majority of the country had no problem with slavery 200 years ago. My dismissal of you was and still is due to you trying to derail the conversation with obvious bullshit. Conflating women with Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster was a really big clue. Grow up.

You aren't alone. My experiences (while not a mirror) draw heavy parallels to yours. I learned the same lesson, in that I never could understand why I had problems with long term relationships until I realized that it was that I had respect for myself. I am honest, straightforward, and trustworthy. I expect the same from anyone I call friend or partner.

Which is why I lost interest. I really don't care about any of those three things other than what I need for survival.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The hope is for the individual, not for society. I'm not a tradcon, thinking that being a great man will net you a great wife and everything will go back to the good old days. I was trying to say that hope isn't lost for yourself. Not so sure about society at this point, but that's their problem.

I notice you don't have any thoughts of your own. Take your observations, and turn them on yourself. (small side note, money cannot buy happiness. But it sure as hell makes the journey easier.)

You aren't a being worth loving unless you build yourself into one. Learning to do that is a long, difficult process that requires discipline. This doesn't mean whipping a kid every time they set a toe out of line. It means reinforcing boundaries. Your mistake is putting "shaming, ridiculing, and punishing" in the same basket. Shaming and punishing are very valid tools in building a good person. Ridiculing is not, neither is severe physical discipline. (doing serious bodily harm) With that being…

I agree that a bigger problem is that girls need this done to them. I'd venture that a large part of the problem with how females are generally raised is that they are coddled where boys are punished for showing emotions. This (at least partially) creates the issues we currently see with female culture in that they are encouraged to vomit forth any and all emotional garbage that comes to mind, instead of learning to control and direct those emotions. Directly encourages a return to just followin…

Good to hear that it's fixed for you. This practice is supposed to be against the ToS of reddit, but they do nothing about it. Blanket banning users of a sub is asinine.

I'm reading the article writers source that she attacks, and I'm not seeing anything but reasonable discussion. Her idea of hating Jews seems to be that Lori Alexander refused to back down from saying she was anti-feminist, unless I'm totally missing something. And if that's true, it makes the entire rest of her article essentially hamstering. Sickens me that this is what passes for "thoughtful debate" lately. Just shout down your opponent and find a way to insult them.

A better question is why do you care? These opinions should not matter to you unless they happen to stumble across an argument with merit.

No, not just for the low-effort joke. More the account in general. 2-3 pages in just out of curiosity, and your entire account looks like a bad joke. Nothing wrong with a good meme now and then, but that is literally all you have. One-line comments that add nothing and karma farming memes.

Check your local grocery deli, see if they sell meat and cheese ends. You can pick up some high quality stuff if you aren't picky about what meat or cheese you want, and it's much cheaper ($2/lb for meat, 3 for cheese at my local store) than buying fancy lunchmeat straight up. The bigger cuts I use for snacking, the smaller cuts can go on sandwiches.

You said it yourself, you are worried about what people might think of you. Will you ever interact with this person again? Are they kin to you? If not, you have absolutely no reason to care about their opinion. I'm not saying you need to take things to full blown paranoia, but stop worrying about other people and turn that attention towards yourself. A cheesy quote, I know. But the lion does not concern himself with the opinions of the sheep. Unless I have a good reason to respect your opinion, …

I generally try to carry at least a half week's pay for emergencies, and to help me not spend. If I have cash on me I'm much less likely to splurge on things. Just knowing I have it on hand prevents me from automatically whipping out the debit card.

I seem to remember a quote of yours that stuck with me. Women haven't changed, but the legal tools they can use against men have. And the social stigma that prevented them from using those tools without a really good reason is all but gone.

Looking at the post history, I get it. You didn't have good role models. You've had it pretty rough, and seemed to have turned it around. I can respect that, I was in a similar situation 15 years ago. With that being said, you still have a long way to go. Even using the phrase "If it wasn't me it would be someone else" shows me that you don't truly understand what integrity means, or why it is important. Be the better man.

This isn't the MRA sub. I could give two shits about society, seeing as how it threw me away close to 15 years ago. I just want to be left alone.
/r/MGTOW17/07/19 05:51 AM
5

Exactly. It kills me that this author doesn't even attempt to see things from a male perspective. Women wanted equality, which means they can get their raises and promotions the same way men do. Hard work and sacrifice.

No worries, it's a common mistake. You seemed sincere, hence the frank answer. Way too many of the newer guys still have their reason for GTOW too fresh in their mind and tend to lash out where it isn't warranted. They need time and self reflection.

Agreed, and in a spot like that I'll take the consequences. And just to be clear, I meant the article itself was hard to read. (not your comment.)

I get that. I'm just pointing out that this is something different entirely. This isn't some frat bro swinging on another jock because his girlfriend cheated on him.

I just want to be left alone. Enjoy your divorce. *edit - just noticed that this is worse than I initially realized. You realize this is victim blaming? "It's your fault these men catcall you and harass you, just look at how you dress and act! Any woman with a dress that short in the park at night is just asking for it!" Is what you wrote, you just twisted it around to aim at men. *2nd edit - And of course this asshole removes it after he realizes how bad the optics are. Coward.

Sounds like you already get it, but it bears repeating. You come first in your life. Do not let any woman (or man, for that matter) shame you and/or emotionally manipulate you into doing something that is not in your best interest. Listen to your gut.

Something to keep in mind is that a 5.11 in your gym isn't set or rated by the same people that set that outside route, and vice versa. Good tip to follow is to always look at how long ago an outdoor climb was set. 5.9+ means something entirely different when you go back ~15years or more.

I'm a union steelworker, I recognize the construction of the coaster in that picture. The layout of the rail supports is what gives it away, our shop is the only shop in the world that makes that specific type. Also, the two-tone paint on that thing was an absolute bear to get done.

I'll upvote that. I am one of those equipment operators, and I'm in my mid 30's. The problem with operation that I find is that young guys face a lottery with who they get watching out for them. If you get the bad luck of drawing an idiot, it's way too easy to get yourself killed in a ditch collapse or some moron taking your head off with a machine because you simply didn't know what to look (out) for.

You need a generous dose of common sense, a willingness to get dirty to get a job done, and it wouldn't hurt to have a decent sense of humour (or at the bare minimum be able to put up with roughnecks being crude). So macro it is. Your problem in that case is that if you teach your boys to not tolerate the mental and emotional abuse women impose upon them, they have two options. Either give up women (and romance) altogether, or subject themselves to the insane laws and regulations around said abusive women and end up on the wrong side of a biased court system. It isn't about teaching men not to tolerate this. Just look at the growing MGTOW philosophy if you need proof of that. The problem is the last 30-40…

Against this, we have this glamorization of urban poverty by the wealthier philanthropist and aid agencies. There is always a fascination with the picture-perfect idea of poverty; children playing in open sewers and the rest of it. Of course, such lives are proof of grave social injustice. But top-down philanthropy, with no interest in an education that strengthens the soul, is counterproductive, an assurance that there will be no future resistance, only instant celebrity for the philanthropist.…
