Sure, I probably wouldn't join (not because I "love" women, I "love" some, I am indifferent to most), because I don't really want to remake my life in a new country, but if some guys were to pull that off more power too them.

The government is not going anywhere. You are living in lala land. Waiting for "the collapse" is like waiting for Jesus to return, or for Aliens to come and show us the technology of utopia. Sane people live in the real world.
/r/MensRights22/08/17 07:01 PM

Overthrowing the government is not my goal. If you don't want to overthrow the government, than don't say you want the mrm to overthrow the government. My goal a return to sanity. Wanting to take away female suffrage as well as other batshit insane things you have said here and elsewhere on this sub are clear indications that you are anything but sane.

Mechanization started much earlier than that. It came at different rates at different places but basically produces the same results. Also places with less were still basically connected to places with more and so they were going to pick up on social changes. Mechanization also means the role of the stay at home mother is obsolete. As well as the provider husband. Which faces even more obsolescence in the coming decades. Men would do better to look forward and not backward.
/r/MensRights22/08/17 04:25 PM

Women's suffrage and increases in taxation came about at roughly the same time as increased mechanization. That is what caused an increase in taxation. We aren't an agrarian society anymore but apparently you are too stupid to realize that. You are the one who thinks he can overthrow the government. Lol and you call me an idiot? You are delusional as fuck.
/r/MensRights22/08/17 04:07 PM

The simple reality is that taxes are unavoidable and the mrm is better off fighting for men's slice of the pie. What you want is as delusional as some utopian communist.

A lot of the things discussed in the general "anti sjw" crowd are not men's rights related. RBK pointed out how easy it is for men's groups to get taken over. It happened before. Even if you don't like mgtow razorbladekandy2's series on why the MRM as it exists now is basically fucked and his commentary on libertarians is as relevant now as it was back then. There won't be a true MRM until it learns from history, cuts this "classical liberal" virtue signalling and actively distance itself from s…

They talk about stuff that isn't men's rights all the time too. Thing is, I still think most of the people there are very talented. Something about HBR is not bringing out the best in it's members.
/r/MensRights22/08/17 04:14 AM

I notice that HBR gets angry when the MRM is conflated with PUAs and stuff like /r/theredpill Like it or not, this will be connected to HBR and the MRM by our opposition. Funny how Karen interviewed Roosh and basically flirted with him. And recently they got angry about being conflated with white supremacists, I think by that guy whose family disowned a white nationalist. Well then....

There was a poll done of the R/MensRights sub a few years ago. Most identified as liberal or left-libertarian if memory serves. for all the good its done the image of the MRM. there is still an issue of right wing and libertarian infiltration because of the more visible members. As for me I don't consider myself fully on board with the western enlightenment so I can't consider myself a libertarian, progressive, or liberal. But I am also not a traditionalist so if I am a conservative I am a wacky…

Razorbladekandy2 was a MGTOW content producer until about 2015 or so and he was one of the best, even if you don't like MGTOW hes worth a listening to. He used text to speech which might be tough on the ears. I don't always agree with him but he was really a breath of fresh air. He made many videos on this very subject. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrSJF7GT6MOm6PxYmv0H3_g I don't buy that Sargon is on the left. Most MRA's do not fit in those categories I have to disagree. Or if that change has happened it has happened very recently, like within a few months and I haven't noticed yet. Not enough is done, and has not been done, to differentiate the MRM from these other groups. I recall that Karen Straughan hosted Roosh V or was on his channel and she was practically flirting with him, and then HBR has the nerve to get angry when /r/theredpill type stuff is associated with the MRM. You might say that the …

Youtuber Razorbladekandy2 who is no longer making videos and is presumed dead by some talked about his experiences with the MRM in the early 2000s or so and he noted how back then it was largely a Bible thumping right wing conservative group of people. Libertarians aren't automatically the same thing, however in the US at least there is this odd fusion of the two. Discussions on forums he himself created often ended up coming back to Jews and the NWO and the federal reserve. He was a hardcore fr…

I wish I knew. But the movement is still in the early stages. The red pill movie has been surprising me honestly, I wouldn't have thought such a movie would be as popular as it is. In time I think leaders will emerge.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeQ0iPO_h5A Granted its been a while since I seen that video. But most liberals are anti male? The problem isn't liberals or conservatives, its gynocentrism. Both the left and the right are gynocentric. Just because someone is anti feminists doesn't mean they are pro male. Nazis hate feminists too.
/r/MensRights16/07/17 03:02 AM

I think gavin mccinnes should be MRM leader Gavin is pro circumcision and pro pedophilia. He supports teachers molesting male students. He is anti male garbage like most conservatives. But fighting against those who hate us males for being males is significant. not if its a waste of time and directed at make believe threats. Communism is basically dead, and in it's early stages the revolutionary left did more to help the average Joe than conservatism ever did.

Not many get it, I can't think of any I can name, but I have encountered a few just browsing this sub. It might be a lot more of them get it, but they aren't a vary visible part of the MRM. In addition, there is too much tolerance of those who are a bad influence, even by those who DO get it. Meaning, the worthy ones are not doing enough to tell the bad ones to fuck off. Its a mess because it doesn't really exist. The MRM exists in name only, you can't point anywhere and say "there it is, there …

I was groped when I was underage as well. haven't told anyone in person, but I tended to get responses to the effect of that I should just be grateful online. On the plus side in the past few year I have noticed that this is not as much the case and I get more sympathy.
/r/MensRights15/07/17 08:12 AM

I run with "pro male", in fact I don't call myself an MRA, only an ally to the (too few) MRAs who "get it". The MRM is in my opinion a disjointed mess, and the label is worn by many anti male people. Or people with ulterior motives that are at best not related or at worse a deliberate hijacking of men's issues.
/r/MensRights15/07/17 07:39 AM

Personally I don't mind it, but as we can see some people think it's an awkward word.
/r/MensRights15/07/17 05:22 AM

Personally I like "brotherhood" but I can see how that could become culty and emphasize only certain kinds of men and not appeal to more cerebral men. There needs to be a category where there are no whites, blacks, gays, straights, alphas, betas, nerds, jocks or any of that.
/r/MensRights14/07/17 09:14 PM

"Group" is too neutral and doesn't appeal on an emotional level, in my opinion.

Its a long shot but I support gender separated schooling from k through grad school.
/r/MensRights14/07/17 08:36 PM

One of men's biggest problems is that they don't see themselves as a collective. In fact there is a good probability that some men on this sub will be violently triggered by my use there of the word "collective". Its a tad awkward biologically I suppose but men absolutely would do well to see themselves as a collective, a race.

You missed the part where I said it wasn't a guarantee. Of course you can try for custody and not get it. Especially in North America. My point is that those who want it should advocate for it. Because not enough do. Especially in the collective sense (the MRM is still a fringe movement). Unless you are just trying to tell men not to push for custody.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 05:43 PM
1

They clearly don't "bother all the time"
/r/MensRights13/07/17 05:19 PM

Europeans are more likely to have equal shared custody. That is at least for the less traditional countries. His point was that often men never bother at all. Of course it's not a guarantee but you won't know if you never push. Very often they don't bother.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 05:14 PM
1

Well yeah that's Canada. The YouTuber was talking about a European. Most likely a swede or a German contrary to what a lot of people on this sub would assume. Further the point was that men often don't push hard enough so if course women win sole custody. Start pushing. On an individual level and on a collective one.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 04:57 PM

Everyone who demands shit gets treated negativity. Even women. It doesn't stop them from getting said shit. Men need to stop being cowards.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 04:46 PM
3

There is a MGTOW/MRA channel I am subscribed to who once talked about how sometimes men just never bother to even ask for things like equal custody in their own individual case, and that he knew a guy who did and was surprised to get it. Men are their own worst enemies. Your countries draft you into war, mutilate your bodies, pump you full of needless medication in your childhood, and make you pay more taxes. Start demanding shit.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 06:34 AM

This bodes well since in terms of custody and child support (Maybe education too, not sure) Sweden is actually a better country to be a guy. Their feminists are noisy cunts but they are more bark than bite.

The first noteworthy MRA was earnest belfort bax. He was a Marxist to boot, back then there wasn't much to differentiate communism and socialism. His work is interesting and sounds very terribly familiar. We have had these issues for that long. There is no connection between him and the modern MRM however.

That we are dominant. Men are actually meek and socially submissive to women. Its not the one that hurts the most, but its one we don't notice, and its one that causes all the others. You can boast about building civilization and sending people to the moon and how good at math we are, but men let women of all creatures walk all over them.

We will be labelled no mater what we do And that label will be "misogynist", for the sin of caring about men and boys. No matter what. I stopped calling myself MGTOW because it became anti activism and defeatist, but its right about a lot of things and the mrm should learn from it.

I don't think you have a good understanding of either technology and its social implications, or biological evolution or its implications. You bring up "feminist pressure" to women to avoid marriage. That really only applies to second wave feminism, which is a dying breed of feminist. Most feminism today would be "choice feminism" on the regards of marriage, its not inherently anti marriage, in fact they probably know the privileges marriage gives women over men and how misandric it is. Many fem…

Says reality. And actually a slight increase in stay at home parasites even if thats actually happening is not really a larger trend. The role of the housewife is increasingly obsolete (and actually not really all that traditional), there are certain technological realities at play that cannot be suppressed.
/r/MensRights23/06/17 02:32 AM

The traditionalists use lazy biological determinism to justify male disposability and are only really angry that the old mating game stopped working, they don't actually care about men, they don't even acknowledge men want to care for their children like women do. Since there is no going back, traditionalism worked for a long time sure, but its maladaptive to the modern world and thus it failed, its time to adapt and move on. Women didn't ditch their roles because of Karl Marx or even because of…

Men need to see themselves as men first and everything else afterwards. That is, after all, how society sees you. Being white or black, gay or straight, or whatever needs to come second, or even farther down the line, to being men. And you need to see other men like that too.

Yup. and to my knowledge the phrase "toxic masculinity" was coined by the mythopoetic men's movement, which granted I think was connected to feminism and I don't know much about it. I sort of wish we could take it back sometimes. Long as male feminists are used as examples of toxic masculinity.

I thought policing people's hatred was just a thing for SJWs. I don't care that feminists in their hearts so to speak hate men, I care that they enact laws based on their hatred of men. I am in favor of discouraging young people from marrying. Men for obvious reasons. Women because if they refuse to marry thats a least one woman that men can't enslave themselves to. Even if the reasoning given is silly. If feminists want to call marriage oppression thats fine by me. Its your feudal overlords calling feudalism oppression.

I think a lot of guys DO crave this but are so afraid to admit it or allow it to spur them to affectionate action because of a fear of being perceived as gay. We have to be drunk to let it out so to speak. More of it in media, TV, video games, and comics would go a long way. I have played at inventing some fantasy worlds and same sex platonic touch is always common and not a sexual thing at all.

I wanted to link to pictures found of men being affectionate in ye olde days, but I was suspicious of the websites and their probable feminist leanings. photographic evidence is photographic evidence however and when someone is right they are right. If you want to google it it is pretty shocking actually to modern anglo eyes. I don't know what we can do in the here and the now to help, but I do think this is slowly changing. That is kind of the equivalent when we flipped out over fucking ghostbusters of all things to be honest. I have no sympathy for the whole cat calling issue. Give women attention and you are a misogynist, ignore then and you are a misogynist. Boys are having their gentials mutilated, men are killing themselves. But oh no, people are paying attention to women dressed for attention.

There is plenty of photographic evidence from the victorian days of men being physically affectionate. keep in mind this was when disdain for male homosexuality was really high. My brother was in South Asia recently and he saw a lot of men holding hands, and this is common in Korea and I think Japan as well. We have to just start being this way again, especially in front of boys, who if you ever pay attention do this to each other without even thinking about it. I remember the last time I shared…

Yup. People don't want to give them credit because of how many wacky feminists there are there, but Swedish feminists are more bark than bite. When it comes to cold hard facts Swedish men have it better. Feminists are trash but Anglo social conservatives are far worse for men. I am glad the respect is gone. The respect was artificial. Like the "respect" a lord has for his lowly skilled blacksmith serf. Karen Straughan some years ago was saying "at least traditionalism says thank you". That is actually why traditionalism is worse than feminism though, feminists tell you exactly what society thinks about you as a man, so you can decide to not be so damn loyal and disposable to nations, states, churches, countries, cultures, and ethnicities that don't care about you. And…

Not to mention, the same people who go on about cultural appropriation are very often the same people who want to live in a borderless world. If we are going to be a global society and a global village like some say, that won't work unless we start seeing all human culture as the achievement of all human beings. If we are indeed one human family, than my culture is yours, and yours is mine.

As good as this is, we need to understand that mommy won't save us. Men have to advocate on their own and, this is very important, each other's behalf. This could easily become feminists taking up men's issues, and that would set us back decades.

I honestly think the female mind is more fixated on cleanliness. To the point that they are more likely, though not always, to be obsessed. Its not so much that men are slobs, its that we have less of an instinct to take precise control of our external environment. There are guys who are cleanfreaks but a lot of them learned it, they are often military guys or were boy scouts in my experience. This isn't scientific but I wonder if its some sort of "nesting instinct", where they are trying to cre…

America is not worth serving. The MRM should take a staunch anti military and anti police stance. Some people are already in those situations and we shouldn't be spiteful at them, and I get that the military is often the only option for a lot of guys if they want to avoid poverty. Also veterans are overwhelmingly male. But we should encourage as many men as possible to refuse to serve their countries and refuse to protect the "communities" that have never protected us. "Equalists" and "egalitarians" are very likely to jump on the default of caring more about women and children and ignoring men. Men need something that talks about them (and boys). Their issues and nothing else. Trying to group everyone together in the same demographic and wanting to help them sounds noble, but reality is something else. And yes, I am absolutely 100% in favor of male identity politics. The presence of female identity politics isn't the problem. The problem is the lack of male id…

I actually do think internalized misandry is a valid concept. The only reason people even in mens' right circles would reject it is, to be blunt, they have an unhealthy obsession with trying so hard to avoid in any way being like feminists. I don't mean conceding ground with feminists, I mean in sounding like "feminism for men". Socially I understand as it makes the mens' movement already weak position seem even weaker in wider society. and yet, pretty much every day there is a "if the genders w…

I jump back and forth on this. Looking only at the situation in the USA and not some other countries. Gay men did something very interesting. They managed to get a lot of sympathy from large swaths of the public. They are the most useless from a reproductive standpoint. And male disposability is thought to be grounded in the fact that it takes fewer men to repopulate. Although current trends are slowly turning against straight acting and white gay men, they did manage to put themselves in a posi…

You can have the same school, but separated classrooms. I forgot to mention, we should adopt "leftist" (workplace democracy) and "rightist" things (gender seperate education isn't specifically right wing I guess, but they are more likely to accept it) on a case by case basis without actually becoming anywhere on the political spectrum. Its not specifically a men's rights issue but I support the idea of pushing for workplace democracy. If men are going to be working either for themselves or others, we should be trying to aim at the workplace. It must never be forgotten how anti male the right wing in it's current and past incarnations is. We all know how the left never gave a fuck either. The left/right is a pendulum, the victorian age led to the more liberal 20s, then we had the 50s, 60s and 70, then the 80s, the 90s progressives, the Bush era, then the SJWs and now we are in kekistan. The anti PC/youtube pwnage crowd and men's rights are about as connected as men's rights and PUA/redpill. At best men's rights should be neutral towards them, and to be honest a lot of them can go fuck themselves. Boys are getting their genital mutilated, men are killing themselves, men are being raped, men are being abused, men are taking the blame for things they didn't do. But oh no, Jordan Peterson has to say some words he doesn't want to.... All they are is entertainment and they probably d…

Im OK with it. Its just a stage people go through when coming to terms with the male situation (I don't like using the term "take the red pill"). I went through that phase myself, and I am glad I did, you learn a lot even if you discard the phase later on. To use a crude example; The whole "all women are sluts" thing demystifies women and knocks them off the pedestal. Now to be quite frank though, I love sluts. Sluts are awesome, hell everyone should love sluts.

I don't really blame men on the small scale for being "afraid" of women, what MGTOW talked about is the large scale fault of men, the collective fault so to speak. People hyperfixate too much on the relationship aspects of MGTOW, as if its some supreme evil to remain single. Its nothing to be concerned about, when a couple of radical feminists wanted nothing to do with men it wasn't the end of the world.

In this case at least you are talking about the "real" traditionalism, which is good. Its actually most tradcons who don't know what traditionalism isl as if the 50s were what we had going back to the fall of Rome. Tradcons today uphold the presumption of motherhood, the belief that women are better suited for raising children, and so when progressives uphold it too they don't fight back. However even the "real" traditionalism fell apart for economic and technological reasons, not because of som…

The attacks you talk of were mostly directed at women pushing for a return to traditionalism, whom sad horny tradcon mras were worshiping. There is also a need for men to stand up for themselves and speak on their own behalf. This is why it that happens. Some non tradcon MRA women are unfortunately going to get some of the flack too, its unavoidable. Its not inexcusable, its just human. Traditionalism didn't fail in the west. Yes it did. People rejecting traditionalism IS traditionalism failing. And it failed directly because of all those goodies you claim are the result of it, which is a debatable point to say the least. Its also the major reason why men lose custody. If you act like the provider during the marriage, you will be treated like one after divorce. Not the care giver, no custody. Primary worker means longer working hours and decreased life expectancy. Really tradit…

Actually no it wasn't. If by traditionalism you mean, as it always does, nuclear families. These are a recent invention, and as we can see they are prone to failure. The data going back farther than second wave feminism, pre depression in fact, shows that nuclear families are very fragile and nearly always end up with female dominance, and a higher divorce rate. the extended family is the "real" traditionalism, and failed too, organically, in reaction to changing technologies and economies. Its very difficult for men to see themselves and each other as a single demographic. I have spoken to people about various incarnations of "mens rights movements" they have participated in going back to about 2003 I think it was, and they said what happens again and again is they get sidetracked by politics. It would help though if men's groups shape up. the MRM, MGTOW, anti feminism etc are all in a shitty state and can't get anything done. This is an anthropological question. Depending on the environment people live in, what family is to them will be different. We happen to live in a transitory period and we don't know what the new family will look like. I usually imagine a day where ironclad guarantees of fatherhood are granted by the state to willing biological or adoptive fathers, and likewise to mothers, and they can decide weather or not they live together, near each other, in a commune (to get something like the extended fam…

Traditional marriage and nuclear family are not at all related. The industrial revolution and capitalism destroyed the extended family (which was the actual "tradition" from the feudal ages), feminists were only realizing what was happening without their influence when they went anti nuclear family during the second wave. They weren't causing it, at the the most they were putting a dying dog out of it's misery. It an aspect of feminism I don't have a problem with, and something holding the mens'…

I don't trust feminism at all. I mean, the word itself is cultish sounding. If there was some genuine womans' rights movement I think it would reject feminism. Hilary Clinton is not a feminist. There weren't "legal guardians", thats also a recent invention. Not that I am opposed to that. There wasn't even legal marriage as we know it, at least outside of the upper classes. this was mostly social custom. You don't even really need legal support to keep these things going in situations like in rural areas in some parts of the world where these old values are still workable. Nuclear families have always existed within extended families. nope. Even the extended family was also once a new i…

The isolation of nuclear families is a recent phenomenon. no. The isolation is built into the very idea of nuclear families. Extended families are not nuclear families. Some people, men and women, won't learn until they are told "no" very firmly. I don't agree with the statement "nobody should hit anyone". Some people need to be hit and deserve it. Men should hit women who deserve it.

That was not a refutation. That was a statement of fact. A LOT of people grew up without their biological parents. What WAS more normal was to have numerous "parents" in the forms of grandparents, aunts and uncles, older siblings and cousins, and even slaves. Traditional nuclear families are not the best way to ensure having a mother and a father because of how easily they fall apart and how market forces destroyed them.

A lot of them didn't because it was easier to die. Advocate for a child's rights to both parents all you want. I support that. But don't frame it in the context of nuclear families or worse the oxymoron of "traditional" nuclear families. There is nothing traditional or stable about "traditional" nuclear families. Actually no. Nuclear families are a recent occurance. They developed as a result of the falling apart of the extended family which was adapted for a feudalistic economy, which itself was once a new idea as the families known by the Romans and Gauls etc were neither extended families nor nuclear families. All peace offerings and olive branches under the label feminism need to be rejected. At its best, feminism is advocacy for women that doesn't affect men at all other than putting women to work. frequently its not at its best.

I saw it happen. AVFM's involvement with the movie is one reason I have been hesitant to see it. I am a tad confused about this unless people really are just willing to judge ideas.

Their distancing from A voice for housewives was actually quite bitter. This is odd. but they did good here.

I am watching a small group of ex MGTOW consider doing just that. I hope that project becomes something. I think yes. Because playing fair hasn't worked. some ideas IMHO an effective mens' group would distance itself from other movements that have only a few surface agreements with it, after all, mens' rights and feminism agree on some things, at least in theory. We shouldn't concern ourselves with free speech on college campuses, and only on the fair treatment of male students and teachers. Fre…

Since father's day was a woman's idea, feminists really aught decry this as misogyny.

Default 50/50 custody should be the rule. No matter how much money ether party makes. Marriage shouldn't even be legally recognized, much less a factor. as long as women have a right to abortion, and I think they always will, men should have an option for legal paternal surrender.

Women have theirs, men need their own. Men NEED to see themselves as a "tribe", because they are. And if they can't, they are fucked.

Any time, ANY TIME feminists (or tradcon trash) extend an olive branch to men it needs to be rejected.

Men and women are not allies. We are not in this together. Individual men and women get on but thats all. You are a sex traitor.

Feminist hellhole. Without the strong tradcon shithole that balances the US's feminists.

We've all heard this before. Feminism comes from the Latin femina which means "woman". Men are nowhere to be found there. What feminism says its about, and what it actually is about, are two seperate things. Plenty of MRAs, MGTOW, and anti feminists are opposed to traditional gender roles too. Feminism is bad because feminism is anti male. Feminism has been anti male since day one. Men need anti traditional advocacy for there benefit (and yes, I am calling for MORE identity politics). They won't…

Child support should be abolished. Full stop.

He he pro circumcision. Believes the normal rhetoric regarding men and domestic violence. is a social conservative (well a bunch of MRAs are sadly). And has even called MRAs "bitter" within the same sentence saying that MRAs are "right about most things". Really, hyperfixating on offending people, promoting political/economic ideologies, and calling feminists fat red haired lesbians is a waste of time.

Relying too much on education hasn't worked. The men's rights movement should focus on helping men. Not fighting communists or "looking as bad as feminists".

Good. Legal marriage should be abolished. We should just have default 50/50 custody and the parents deciding if they want to or not want to live together. They could network and form communes to replace the extended family that industrialization destroyed.

The problem isn't female identity politics. its the lack of MALE identity politics. You can't escape it. You can only fight fire with fire. Draw some lines, let women advocate on their behalf but draw a line and say "here you stop, and here we advocate for ourselves". Hyperfixating on make believe boogeymen like communism is a massive waste of time. We aren't capitalists.

Feminists are not technically wrong when they say "patriarchy hurts men too". They just hardly ever actually help men, and often blame them for it, committing an apex fallacy in assuming that if all members of the elite are of a particular class, that it benefits all members of that class. The thing about dominance hierarchies is that your peer is your enemy, not your friend. But feminism upholds men's dominance hierarchy, and uphold traditional expectations of men. Women are free to be anti tra…

I guess my hope is......that he and other men might see what I have seen in only the past three years, and be able to see past through it. Men need an alternative to what passes for a men's rights movement these days. This whole thing forces a person to take in some very harsh truths. And I would rather have come to all of this at once, than learn it the slow way like I had to.

alright, rant ahead. I can't speak on legal things. I am not even an MRA, I am a burned out ex MGTOW I guess you could say. But I can say this. Men's biggest problem isn't feminism or SJWs, its not tradcons (traditional conservatives), though those things are all anti male. Men's biggest problem is their lack of affinity for other men and the hard time we have sharing a collective identity. If you want to look into men's rights, get ready for some major headaches and frustrations. You will see p…
