Hahaha no I wasn't planning on messaging them RIGHT after, 'tis a biiit creeperish. And I guess what I meant more was when I meet a girl at a club, we talk for 5 minutes or so and I grab her number. When we next meet up for a date, things go a lot better than from online -> date.

Fair enough. I like your idea of asking them afterwards, I'll give that a shot next time around. I guess what baffles me is that I would consider myself to be fairly attractive, as well as outgoing and personable. Whenever I meet a girl at a club/bar or in person, things go swimmingly from there on. It may be that I come across as a different person online.

It's possible a smoother rejection would have been better, but as stated in my original post and another comment, I left out smaller details. It was something I felt I needed cut off all communication.

I don't think I gave her the opportunity to accuse me. As I said, I tried to cut out the fat of the story. Given the context of what texts she was sending me, I saw the path it was going down. I took the opportunity when she was saying how I went from nice to a jerk (trying I guilt me into coming back) to have her state that it was all consensual. Anyway, I'm not saying I made the perfect choice every time, but rather a re-telling of my experience.

My only issue with this, is you're asking her to think of "something". Girls like decisive guys, so I prefer to tell a girl to "give me your number, and we can meet up sometime". Something along those lines.

Also keep in mind that just because she (or any other 10 most likely) has had everything given to her, it doesn't mean you have to, or should. If anything, showing that you're not going to give her what everyone else has is a DHV - Willingness to walk away.
