Honest question here re: your Ray Rice stream of texts: Are you waiting for some sort of police investigation and trial to confirm that the video is one of Ray Rice cold-cocking his fiancee? I mean, how much evidence do you need to prove "guilt?"

Is there a TL;DR version of this?

So, back to our original conversation - isn't that the Darwinian goal, so to speak? Passing on one's genes? Isn't that what being an "alpha" is about? The guy who gets to mate and pass his DNA on?

Watch Idiocracy. Not the whole thing; just the first 10 minutes. A lot of people will continue to breed - especially the dumbest, least capable people.

Sounds like your dad did well in passing on his genes.

No doubt he thought he was being clever. I'm confident that he thought he had a loophole figured out where he could slip this prenup in.

I have daughters, I advise them not to marry or have kids as well. I guess that's it then for passing on your genes. Seems kind of opposite of what Darwin taught, eh? Aren't "alphas" the ones who pass on their genes, while "betas" are content to play with sticks in the mud?

I'll share your story with my 3 month old son, who is being raised in a two-parent intact family (you know, the nucleus of society). Unless, of course, you believe that a plate-spinning bachelor is the foundation upon which we should build a well-functioning civil society.

Look man, we get it. It didn't work out for you. Doesn't mean that it doesn't, or won't, work out for anybody else. I'll leave you with an equally useless piece of advice: Don't trade stocks, bro. You'll only lose money.

Well, whatever it is that's going on, they shouldn't do it. Here's a lesson I learned the hard way, for anybody who cares: DON'T WRITE IT DOWN, DON'T TAKE A PICTURE. Got it? If it's bad, questionable, embarrassing, looks silly, makes you look silly, etc. - then just don't make a record of it. Period.

These lessons you've learned are exactly why I advocate that young men experience fighting for themselves. I'd be lying if I said that I won every fight that I was ever in. Like you, I could count a few lucky instances where I could have made out much worse. However, nobody would deny that you now take situations much more seriously - that you know how to approach things with a level head, and know how words can lead to violence, and how violence can lead to unpredictable outcomes. A military co…

Every single human culture has, in one way or another, discovered alcohol - often independently of each other (in other words, it wasn't discovered in one place and spread from there). There's a clear and obvious place for alcohol in society. Rather than asking why nearly every other culture in the history of mankind uses alcohol, you should ask yourself why you don't. To respond to your points: I work out so that I can be fit and enjoy good foods and alcoholic beverages. If you have news on the…

Sounds like you're having a little adult tantrum after your schedule ran into some unforeseen complications. The only "pill" aspect of this whole thing is that your scheduling problems involved women, albeit obliquely.

Sucks for you. My wife's family paid for the whole thing, except for: Transportation from hotels to the venue, and; The rehearsal dinner. I also managed to get my wife's grandmother's diamond to give to her as an engagement ring (I only paid for the setting). The wedding was a great time, by the way. PS I'll add this, in defense of brides: Have you ever tried to organize a large event, like a wedding? Have you ever thrown a large, organized party? It's harder than it looks. I can barely get ever…

Probably something you can just deal with. On one of my summer cruises, the ship I was on carried a large contingent of Marines. Certain times in the ship's fitness center were blocked off for Marines; other times for the ship's personnel. It certainly wasn't bullshit; it was just reality. In the meantime, try some cardio.

Men here shouldn't confuse what it means to be a good man, vs. what "a good guy" is in woman-speak: "A good guy" is nothing more than a social man-servant to a woman. In medieval times this man might have been known as a eunuch. A good man is a man of strong character and treats people with respect; who strives in his life to improve himself and his lot; who is careful and diligent in his work and seeks to become the best he can be at what he does. A good man is a pillar of his community and ser…

I think that every man needs to get into a physical fight at one point in their life or another. It shocks me to meet men who've never engaged in a physical confrontation in their lives. I also don't trust people who don't drink (unless they abstain due to prior problems w/alcohol). I won't do business with a teetotaler.

Wish my dad showed me this...would have saved me a lot of trouble. However, my father did - in his infinite wisdom - sit me down one day when I was younger (I must have been in middle school). He proceeded to draw a graph for me. On the X axis was age, and on the Y axis was "relative attractiveness to women." I was, sadly, on the bottom of a line that was sloping 45 degrees up and to the right. Everybody I hated - dumb-ass shitheads - was way above me...but their line was 45 degrees down. The li…

So you have full-blown ADHD, do not medicate, and meditation is the total solution for you? Edit - for those interested, the conclusion of the study cited was as follows: "Mindfulness training is a feasible intervention in a subset of ADHD adults and adolescents and may improve behavioral and neurocognitive impairments. A controlled clinical study is warranted."

Interesting; in my family it's my father who manages to consistently squander his earnings (high six figures), while my mother has stoically socked away several million - some of which has been used on occasion to bail my father out of his amazing propensity to lose money in the stock market.

My mother (and her brother, my uncle) were both products of my maternal grandfather (obviously), who was a great man in my opinion. He taught his children the value of hard work, independence, and frugality (that didn't rub off on me). My father is very smart, but socially autistic. He cared very much for how I was raised, and took time out of his schedule to provide extra instruction to me that he didn't think I was getting in school. He was also your typical immigrant father - that is, liberal with the corporal punishment. Though he's still alive, we have never been able to develop an adult relationship.

TRP really confounds me sometimes - I mean, what's up with this post and "weak-willed girls?" Who the fuck wants to date a human door mat? It's like paper trading the stock market or taking practice golf swings. How great is it when you make that perfect stock trade on paper, or you hit that invisible golf ball just right? It's fun because there's competition and effort involved. What do you want out of life, exactly? Do you want a human door mat to follow you around, hanging off your every word…

It is interesting when you see the same people in different forums on reddit. Not sure how I found TRP but it's interesting reading. Men: Don't confuse hitting the gym and getting in shape with stuff like this, which is drug-fueled body building. You don't have to look "jacked" to look appealing to the opposite sex. Think soccer player, not meathead.

Keep at it - that's all you can do. One thing I've done in my own life (my wife - gasp, I know - can turn into a real pill) is to make it clear to her that, in any discussion, if things turn south (yelling, name calling, etc.) she can expect that the conversation will end. I stopped long ago allowing her to dictate the tone and course of arguments. I think that a woman can pedestal you while still having a sense of self-respect. I think with your approach, at best you get an extremely smart and cunning woman who's simply using you while you're useful; at worst you have a woman who doesn't respect herself at all and is essentially a human door mat.

I was able to snag myself a college-educated woman; who knew me before I had anything of value; who is willing to stay at home and raise my children. We get along fabulously. I'm not certain that I'm getting the bum end of the deal here. My son reached 3 months of age the other day - an age at which some of my co-workers must now leave their child with a stranger for 8 hours a day and shell out $15k a year for the privilege. I feel a very strong sense of personal pride knowing that I earn enough…

I'm with you on this. We're around the same age and both professionally successful. For a very long time I wasn't going to get married (was in a LTR for 10 years), and I wasn't going to have kids, either. I had worked with individuals who had successful, long-term relationships with good women and knew that it could work out. After 10 years, my LTR essentially "put it to me" that she wanted to be married. I asked myself - cut her loose, or stay with her? I knew what the proposition was, and I de…

If I follow /r/TheRedPill's advice, it doesn't seem as if I'll ever actually make it to /r/RedPillParenting . Is that a correct understanding of what's going on here?

I have yet to pick up on /r/TheRedPill 's thoughts on the best environment in which to raise a child. I have, however, seen two things on /r/TheRedPill: Formerly married men relaying their sad stories regarding the breakup of their families/status of ex-wife, and; Young redditors who have not yet reached the point at which they might consider forming a family and raising children.

"I would fuck you" isn't "playing her game," it's no game. Seriously. You'll find that daddy-issue girl who will fall for that line, but in the long run you sound stupid. TRP isn't a guide on how to be a social neanderthal.
/r/TheRedPill25/08/14 05:46 PM

Just say 7. It's easy to come up with further responses on the fly. Don't overthink it. For example: "Why not a 10?". Look around: Do you think that you're better looking than all these women? "Just 7?" Ya - at least you aren't a 3 or a 5! "XYZ says I'm a 10." Then it looks like you have your answer for the night, no need for my opinion.
/r/TheRedPill25/08/14 05:44 PM

I give you zero points for this. Here's why: "And I feel like I'm better [than you] for it." That was my edit, but I put the words in that you were trying to say. Unless - correct me if I'm wrong here - you were trying to say that you're a weak person and can't control yourself at all when you ingest any substances, so in not doing them you're a better person than you'd otherwise be for it.
/r/TheRedPill25/08/14 05:33 PM

I'm sorry that you don't find yourself creative or interesting in a different way when you partake in the use of mind-altering substances. I'd say some of the best professional ideas I ever had came to me when I've alternatively been drinking, smoking pot, or both. If I can't implement my ideas immediately (writing, coding or otherwise), I'm sure to write them down.

How many fights have you been in? How many did you "completely fuck the guy up" in and were charged? PS You don't have to provide exact numbers for fights. "A few" is sufficient. That will differentiate you from the majority of people I know, for which the answer is essentially "none."

I think it's ludicrous. /r/TRP views range to the extremes, but this sort of thing (Marlboro man, a loner who's gotta be alone, no obligation with plates spinning galore) is definitely the circlejerk of this sub. There's nothing of a stand-up man; a man who strives to earn the respect of others; form and raise a loving family (the most basic thread in the fabric of human society); serve your country; do a job that's worth being paid for.

Re: The gym. You have to start somewhere, so just go. People at the gym aren't judging you...after all, you're there, trying. They're judging all the lazy people who didn't actually make it to the gym. If you do more than just half-ass it, you'll see decent results within 3-6 months easy.

You sound like a real piece of work. Truly, the guerrilla warrior of relationships. Look what a strong man you are! In a marriage you don't want to be in...strength!
