So my question is why do so many guys not realize if you want a 10 you have to be a 10? Conditioning from media, women friends, male friends. Everyone thinks that they will end up with a 10. No one grows up thinking they will settle for a troll who also settled for them. People are not told enough that the solutions to their problems come from self improvement.

My husband and I have so much together. It just feels selfish on my husband's part to insist to be the bio father. He will be the parent no matter what. Yeah, her husband sounds like a real asshole to want to raise a child that's his own.

Report him. That kinda shit is dangerous inside a gym. He shouldn't be in there if he's a liability to the gym for hurting someone or making it less appealing to other customers. What an asshole. Give us an update. He's going to keep bullying you if you don't do something about it. Fighting him would be really fucking stupid thing to do. You'd lose, and want to go there even less (if you're not both already kicked out for it).

Exactly man. They're basically fool proof and a decent brand will get anything (even whispered) which was said in the same room... If you drive dates, also get a dashcam. They're timestamped, turn on/off automatically, record audio, and pretty common. You can get a good one for about $50 now.

Were there any red flags with the girl that texted you, while you were with her? Dude that message is a time bomb, it was intentionally vague and she put it in writing so she can refer to it later if she needs to. If you want to resolve the future threat that poses, you need to get her to admit it's a bullshit claim, either in text or by you recording her going back on it.

Most recording software on phones is piss poor, and the hardware is also lacking. I got a small Sony audio recorder for uni and it is amazing quality, it was about $60. It has better hearing than me, is discrete, and can run for over 12 hr straight on a full charge.

Start going to the gym if you're not already. It'll show that your self-motivated and self-interested. She is weighing up whether she can do better. If you get in better shape and she stays where she's at, she'll recognise you as a leader, and that you're also prepared for your marriage to sink. If she thinks she's the best you can get, why would she stay? If seek validate her concerns by doing more around the house you're effectively telling her you're desperate and subservient. Also. Give some context about when you need it. People often greet eachother with some kind of kino. Eg. blokes give eachother handshakes (no homo), or I always meet Tinder dates with a hug. It breaks that invisible 'no-touch' barrier and it really helps the situation lose awkwardness or tension. Escalating on a date while watching a movie begins sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, maybe touching the leg a little bit at different points, then eventually an overt form (grab her head and turn it towards you).…

I listened to the audiobook. A lot of the behaviours in it really gave me a heap to reflect on. I think being protective of friends is an 'alpha' leadership trait. If the motives are legitimately protective ones, and not with an ulterior motive (you need decent self-awareness to recognise this) then there's no harm in going for it.

"I don't feel like being divorce raped, especially with how much the feminist agenda is advancing." That does happen, but you don't hear many stories about good marriages here. I think that a lot of women who would make good partners to raise a family with are often the more traditional type who would only like to do it within the context of marriage. I'm in a LTR now with someone who has suitable attributes to raise a fam with, and she would never get pregnant outside of marriage. Working on yo…

Fuck that. He's in this situation because people before him didn’t disclose it... Would you be pissed if you got herpes because your partner didn’t tell you? Would you have sex with someone and knowingly not inform them? That's not only a shitty thing to do, but it's illegal.

TBH. You won't be doing yourself any favours in a major hosp. You'll delay treatment and when the male doc does get to you he will already dislike you pissing off other staff and adding to his workload... On the other hand, it's a general doc you should be selective and get someone you're confident in.

Read it again, he's telling young mate to get his dick wet and says that STIs are harmless and normal (except HIV). That's not the case at all. The main treatable bacterial ones (chlamydia and gonorrhoea) are the ones that can be really fuck around with the internal gear. The HSV ones are pretty common, but the worst of those can be usually be avoided by not screwing people with a flare-up...

Hey mate. It's great you've got the time to put into monk mode. I just want to put it out there that you shouldn't be seeking to isolate yourself. You need to warm up to social situations if you want to work on your anxiety. Good luck!

vast fuckin majority of STDS can be cured with some medication That's some shitty info mate. STI symptoms don't only suck, but if they're bad they can reduce fertility in men and women. Also, if you get genital herpes, you've got it for life. Banging randoms without a rubber is a great way to get an STI or a kid, especially the randoms who don't care.

Good post: short and sweet. I have found that I had to 'reset my bar'. In previous years I would feel like I've achieved something if I hit the gym or eat a salad. But now it is normal routine, and anything less is something of a failure. Doing something physically draining and eating healthy is a normal day for me now.

I don't think it's as sinister as you're making it sound. The dude couldn't deliver, and instead of just leaving him when she wasn't attracted to him, she bought him a toy to see if it would help. I don't think the suggestion of medication is any less emasculating. The guy obviously has self-esteem issues, and she offered a fool-proof method. Despite not being able to get his gear working, he sounds like a pretty well-off guy. Manager, good income, and chose to end it himself.

My first dates were terrible, but I am glad they were in my teens. Keep at it, you'll get better with more experience. Most of it comes from personal comfort with the situation. People can sense if you're nervous and it will put them off too.

It sounds like Matthew 6:5 And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. Thanks for writing that! It's good perspective for newbies! That has been my experience too, even though I am not vocal about much of what I do.

What do you mean by plate? Just sounds like someone you're trying to date. I think your response about "Day was good...." is a solid one. Doesn't come off as passive-aggressive, shows you've got options, and your plans aren't about to change because she has bailed. I think a good opener for dates is... "Hey I am going to _____. Would you like to join?"
/r/askTRP01/03/15 07:58 PM
3

Shit man that's a bold opener. Doesn't offer much plausible deniability or playfulness like mine does. She'd risk feeling like a slut by replying in the affirmative... Maybe it's good she missed it. If you've got shared contacts, something like that getting around your circles could do harm (or maybe good depending on things).

This might be better asked in dating advice, larger audience (more insight and responses), but with that is the risk of your identity being exposed. Although it's not super sexy, you could try and establish with her verbally what's on / what isn't.

It was with someone I was kind of familiar with (not really a friend). Didn't hook up from it or anything, but it broke ice. We chat a bit now. I wasn't really invested in it. I guess the crux of what I am saying is that you shouldn't let it be awkward. Own it. Be fun. If you want something of it, initiate it, but don't be needy.

I usually open kinda playfully when it happens. "So is this the part where we make out?" Depends on the person though. Use some judgement.

You misjudged the social situation by saying "Its okay, she's female". Don't say that around friends, and their gfs, especially when you're in public. Nothing good can come from it. She shouldn't have slapped you, and the rest of what you said sounds about right. I would have called it a night and gone home after calling her out on it. Sounds like that bridge is burned. Your mate is pussy-whipped and his gf won't let him forget that you're a bad person. She is personally invested in making sure …

One more year of med for me. I haven’t had that experience. Maybe it doesn't carry much currency here. Having game and working out has done more for me than the prestige of being a young doc soon has. I can see the doctor status helping next year, but I am concerned about the types it will attract. A nurse dropped this on the ward a few days ago: "Doctors don't marry nurses, nurses marry doctors. And it's for money."

/r/TheRedPill13/02/15 12:19 PM
10

It's pretty ignorant to shame dudes with "he's just bitter cause he didn't get sex". It's what women do, who find it easier to pigeon-hole lonely guys... It's the intimacy and respect he wanted from a woman, but would never get. That's what he wanted, sex goes with that, but it's not the main thing he was aiming for. He specifically wrote that paying a prostitute occasionally wouldn't fix his problem... Have a read of Michael's Story in the sidebar.

The inverted commas should have been a superscript TM. I don't think they are good people, they just don't know much about them. If someone calls you a 'nice guy' it's usually because they can't give a genuine compliment on your character, and try to validate your passivity as an positive attribute instead.

When I was in school (about 15/16), one of the girls was sobbing hysterically one afternoon, like a relative had died unexpectedly or something. She hadn't had a bf before. Turns out there wasn't a death in the family, but instead a low SMV guy had asked her out. It really was the ultimate insult, and there was nothing she could do about it... I don't know what her friends were saying to comfort her, probably something along the lines of 'don't worry, your SMV is way higher gurrrrl'.

I think it's blatantly rude. I wouldn't accept it from a woman anymore than I'd accept it from a bloke I'm hanging with. If someone has no understanding of basic social etiquette I'm not going to spend time with again. Each to their own, but it's a basic standard I keep.

Dude, if you think that you're sacrificing your own enjoyment to get a girl excited, that's your problem. It sounds pretty anti-social too. Behaving like this on dates has only yielded good results for me, and it is something I enjoy doing. They have fun, and I have fun. I am not going to try and convert you. A couple of highlights for anyone who doesn't want to read the whole thing: If the case involves an expectant mother, Ms. Shuman explained, the hospital's legal obligation is clear: The developing baby is considered part of the mother and the results of the tests therefore belong to her. After birth, the course of action is less clear, she said, but lawyers advise that the child is to be considered the patient, whose needs trump those of the parents. Since telling the father could trigger a brea…

I think half the problem is that no one calls out shit parenting, in the same way that no one calls out entitled brats. It feeds their world view of acceptable conduct, and they will push boundaries further. They become more careless and arrogant about it. That kind of shit needs to be stamped out before the point of govt intervention.

I'm a few years older, but my count is still probably on the low side. I feel pretty comfortable putting my time into things that pay real dividends in my life: eating well, working out, study. I could imagine feeling that obsession with it though if I hadn't had the experience. I think it's probably close to impossible to shake a scarcity mentality if you've never experienced some abundance.

You're right in that this parody gives us nothing fresh, it is just a comedic take on what is out there in the dating scene. There is a lot more to TRP than what is trending on this day of the week. If you're new here, it's definitely worth checking out the sidebar. I also follow Return of Kings. I find it more amazing that some western women settle for ordinary guys. Everyday they are pampered with attention and validation from betas. The media and business is always proclaiming 'because you're worth it', and politicians/feminists are always telling them that they are undervalued, and don't need no man.

Hey man. I'm currently in med, but I did a bit more of a search after what you wrote. You're definitely right in saying it's possible to get a UTI without having recent sex, but I still think it's a fair assumption, especially when considering her history. Also found an article that says "almost 80 percent of premenopausal women with a UTI have had sex within the previous 24 hours." - Admittedly it is not referenced and I didn't hit up any journal articles.

The thing about UTIs in females of repro-age is that they are often from having sex. She said she didn't fuck that dude cause she had a UTI, that might be true, but there's a good chance she banged another guy to get to that point The bad thing is definitely that you still like her. Hit the gym. Game some other girls. Better yourself in some way. I think the problem is pedestal-ising women. If you lower expectations to those you have of the average person, then all you are left with is a human with normal character failings. What the partner did here is damn selfish, but women, by definition, are not subhuman.

I don't know if this has been suggested, but I think treading VERY lightly would be the way to go until you can have some kind of back-up in place. The guy gets a heap of validation, and that helps sustain his complex. Saying he'd get away with behaving the same way without the fame is laughable. If someone was trying to be dark triad, I don't think it's equivalent to acting like Bieber and 2 other people. It's a triad because all 3 are important, and at the exclusion of any there's a completely different behaviour pattern. This dude is not dark triad because he 'gets as much pussy as he wants' and displays narcissism.

The dark triad being referred to was the full triad (Narcissism, Machiavellianism, Psychopathy). Being famous, getting attention, and becoming self-absorbed as a result is hardly dark triad.

Outcome independence is one of the best things you can have. I recently went on an out-of-town conference where there were about 1500 people my age. I just kept approaching and stopped caring. I used to be in an Xbox clan for COD. I spent so many hours with the internet guys, and I eventually thought they were some of my best friends. If I didn't cut that out I would still be doing it as a 22M. Although it's something you really value at the moment, is it something you would be proud to spend your time doing in a few years time? Having few friends could be an advantage. I will give this a decent run when I am on uni break and away from friends: http://illimitablemen.com/2014/04/13/mon…

Don't make it about girls. Make it about you being the best you can. If you're sitting around playing Xbox ask yourself if it's worth your time. You have a finite amount of time to get shit done in your life. Make it awesome. TL;DR - lift, work hard, improve self... Be the best!

This same thing has happened to me twice now on buses. A girl is using a Kobo (it's a type of e-reader), and I will open with "Is that a kindle?"... Just pick some random shit (that isn't too basic), and get them to explain it to you... Kinda just flows from there if you've got social skills. Sometimes I have just open with "How's it going?" if they look friendly. If they give a crappy answer, I leave it. If you're working for their attention - you've already lost.

Hey man. This is a good place to post if you want some generalised advice for looking out for #1. Get healthy - lift (something at home), run, ride, eat well, drink water. Find a job that suits your skills - being without a high level of formal education doesn't exclude you from workforce participation. You've put out a heap of applications which shows great initiative. If it's the interview that you think is letting you down there is a heap you can do to improve that; have a look around here fo…

If you're doing it to impress people, it will always make you look bad. If you drop big words and they are obviously out of context, or fail to make sense to the people you are talking to, then you also fail. The way you've phrased your Q is also pretty weird. I don't even know if the grammar is correct - "how much of that "talent" do you want to make women perceive"

2 of your last 3 points sound okay. I would avoid getting into someone's space unless it comes naturally. If it seems artificial it could come off as weird, and make you both uncomfortable. Talking slow +1! I probably fall somewhere within the introvert category too, but I make a point of being fun. No talk about politics or economics ever ends up in a make-out sesh. Talk about something fun, and interesting, even if it's a weird little anecdote from your day.

If you ever do go shopping while you're in a suit, you'll see what I mean. Being suited up in a place where everyone is wearing suits doesn't have the same effect.

Go forth and escalate!
/r/seduction30/03/14 11:29 AM

It's a shame OP deleted his post. It was a pretty good example of failing to escalate. She kept the tone sexual by using the phrase 'half naked', and he failed to explore it. He just got into bed and cuddled. By her not explicitly saying 'do you want me to get half naked', but instead put the thought in his head, it put the onus on him to push further.

It means you'll take responsibility for yourself. That's where you get real gains. Support from others can create the illusion of progress.
/r/TheRedPill30/03/14 01:13 AM

How you dress is important any time you leave the house. People always make judgements about you, and treat you differently based on your appearance. Go out shopping in a worn t-shirt, and shorts. Then go out in a suit. You get more smiles, more attention; people treat you with higher visibility and respect.
/r/seduction30/03/14 12:43 AM
74

That wasn't a fear of being 'half naked', that was an invitation for you to endorse it. It gives her plausible deniability, and makes her feel like you sought her, not the other way around. Not escalating was your mistake.

Without Him, I would be lost and doomed for eternity, but for some reason He loved me. It means that overall (like based on tax receipts) women earn less than men. It's not institutionalised. Ie (as this study reflects) if men are working more, they earn more money. Feminists say it is unfair that overall women are earning less.

Yeah, I did see it on FB. I shared it here because I wanted to hear some TRP interpretations of it. The content is obviously crap, but I wanted to see some analysis. Btw. That 'has no place in an intellectual discussion' is exactly the same line people use when referring to this sub, or feminists use when their logic is questioned.

That is legit wack. When you lose touch with reality that hard, there is just no going back. Probably thinks other planets didn't exist until people saw them?

How did you present it? When I am introducing it to mates, I make a point of not calling it TRP, but I instead just introduce them to the ideas. The ideas on their own make sense.

I think they believe it. I think they see it as some kind of rebellion against 'the man'. Spending any good portion of your time behaving like this isn't being 'selfish' and 'independent', it just devalues you. It ensures that when you're not able to get away with the 'wild' things you did in your 20s, you'll have nothing else to offer. You'll end up blaming others and telling them to 'man up' and get in an actual relationship you... No thanks!

The guy who first mentioned TRP to me did so in a kind of mocking way. Since looking it up, I've been hooked. It makes a lot of sense. I am happy to demonstrate the behaviours, but I think if I say that I read it in a forum online I will come off as a cult worshiper or something. Also, TRP has a pretty rough mainstream rep. But I am honestly consistently impressed with the community here. Although there are a minority who actively despise women because of past treatment or whatever, the common g…

That's what I mean. Banks don't get poor. The people who have their money in them, their insurance group, or the gov't backing them are the ones that lose. Privatised profits, socialised losses.

I broke up with my gf earlier this year because I couldn't see it progressing as far as I thought she did. I still feel bad about it. That made me think of people that buy lottery tickets on a weekly basis. They do it over and over, and despite losing money, they are still filled with hope. From an external perspective it's obviously futile. But the person doing it rationalises it as being one ticket closer to winning. They are invested and if they turn back now they are empty handed.

There definitely are a heap of BP motivations to do it, but I kind of picked up this sub and NF at the end of last year. I think they almost go hand in hand. I feel surprisingly less dependent on external factors for my own sense of wellbeing. I want to work on things to feel good from them, not just access gratification that I haven't worked for. My 2c
