Lol it was in the parking lot by the restaurant. He walked me to my car. We were then going to follow each other to the event, but we had to stop and get the wheel lock off first. I didn’t realize I parked in a private lot. There was a sign that said “public” but another sign detailing stipulations I didn’t read.

I hear you. The wheel lock was because I parked somewhere that looked like a public lot but apparently was not. I agree that I should have taken more time to look for signs as I pulled in. I just didn’t want to be late for the date.

I do agree with your points. I was only saying they were out there, not that they all wanted me as a wife lol. I have no idea how many are fake. I have literally met men who just lie, though that’s “fake” in a different way.

I love the last line of your first paragraph! Such the dichotomy lol.

Lol but if I said I only did that in the context of a relationship up front, then is it really leading them on?

For context, I live in a city of 2 million people.

I also got 4/5 red pills when putting in my stats lol.

I think you may be being intentionally contentious. The causality of course goes in the other direction. Guys who are short or broke are upset that women aren’t giving them a chance, and they made a whole calculator about it. No guy busy dating or married would create this. I do agree that many things, such as height, are unavoidable. It’s unfortunate that that plays into women’s attraction, but both genders are drawn to some shallow things. Those things aren’t everything, though. Positive trait…

Okay, so we have almost identical life situations lol. I literally thought to myself, “If I can do this as a 7, it can’t be that rare.” 😅 Also a grad student. These stats describe the men I know from high school and such as well.

Thank you! I’m also wondering what “stringing along” looks like from a guy’s perspective. I think I have been accused of this, but I just see it as getting to to know someone to see whether or not I’m into them.

Thank you so much! Those are literally the two things I do, and I didn’t know if they were too direct. I say I would like to get married and have kids after grad school. If pressed, I also explain that I do not like to sleep with a man before commitment. In my head, I have the timeline of this taking at least a month because I’ve had men try to rush commitment before I had a chance to really get to know them.

I agree! I think a female version would be something like 120 pounds and less than three sexual partners.

I appreciate your advice! Any tips you have for vetting? I have my own methods, but a man’s perspective would be helpful. :)

I also do not live in a HCOL area, but I have a graduate degree, so I tend to match with other people who have advanced degrees or otherwise prestigious careers.

I hear you! My post was more about their existence and not what it takes to land them. That’s a whole other thing. I will say most of my exes fit that description, but there are other men who fit that description who aren’t serious, were just swiping right on everyone, etc.

Lol’ing at your last line! That is so true. Salary is not posted, but I have encountered men who lie about their careers. I didn’t mean to discount myself. I do think I have some things working in my favor, though the post was more about their existence and not what it takes to land them. That’s a whole other thing for sure!

I hear what you’re saying, and I’m sure that many of those matches are irrelevant for various reasons (swiping on everyone, not serious, character flaws, incompatible/wouldn’t vibe, etc.). I was only pointing out the match number to show that they exist and aren’t that rare. I did also say that my exes fit that description as well.

I completely agree! I was just pointing out that those men don’t seem to be as rare as the calculator makes it seem. I think the calculator was designed by men who wanted us to lower our standards so we’d give them a chance, an elaborate neg if you will.

Well, this was flattering lol! Not all of those things apply to my city or me, but I guess I’m doing okay. I obviously don’t know the exact salary of every man I match with, but I try to go for STEM, management, graduate degrees, etc.

I really liked the way you reframed the question! I think it helps us see what we all bring. No one is just high value or low value. It’s so nuanced… I also agree that relationships shouldn’t be viewed in a purely transactional way.

What do you define as moderately attractive and slightly above average? He repeatedly said I was very attractive and that I made him nervous, he had low self-esteem, etc. I felt like he kept seeing me because of my looks and how much fun we had together. That hurt because, as a grad student from a conservative family, I value my education and morals more. I am not used to being the “fun option,” so this has hurt a lot. I’m looking for feedback so I can grow.

I hear what you’re saying. I’m looking for high value of character and financial status. We actually did share many views and values. Our work complemented the each other’s. We had great conversations, a lot of fun together, and a mutual attraction. I am not purely a gold digger. I may not have gone into it enough, but I thought he had a really strong character, and that was one of my favorite things about him.

I hear you, though I am a graduate student and considered attractive. I have strong morals and the potential to make six figures, but I’d rather work part-tint and focus on family.

Thank you!!! This is my favorite comment, and you get where I’m coming from in many aspects. The one thing that’s difficult for me is that I have done years of therapy and nun mode. My trauma still affects me. I’m not sure it ever won’t. You can also only do so much healing in a vacuum. You need some exposure and practice, I think. Do you have any additional insight?

Okay, I see your points. However, would you want to marry a woman who let every man she had a slight connection with/went on a few dates with feel her up? How do you know it’s just you?

I have been single for several years lol. Are you saying I should stop dating forever?
/r/RedPillWomen13/09/23 05:17 PM

I have done many years of therapy. There are some things that don’t go away, especially without exposure. You can only do so much work in a therapy office.

I tend to agree, though he made it clear that he was not seeing other women while we were seeing each other. He also said he was only focusing on work afterwards.

No partner is worth this. By accepting this behavior, you are hurting your mental health and lowering your value in his eyes. High-value women don’t tolerate this. Walk away and he’ll know what decision he has to make to get you back, though you can probably do better. Good luck, girl. We’re here for you!

That’s good advice. I do state that up front but have not thought to ask about timelines. I didn’t want to see too pushy. I really don’t even bring up marriage and kids unless he asks what I’m looking for.
/r/RedPillWomen25/06/23 09:59 PM

Yes, I know. :( But no kids, never married. I have been working on myself in the gym, in therapy, in school, and through volunteer work for the past few years while taking some time off dating. I have an innocence about me yet lots to talk about due to my graduate education.

I think it’s a natural thing for men to care about in the same way at that women care about how much money a man makes. This is a very honest sub, hence why I asked. Your average guy might not say the truth to your face. Even if my next partner never knows how many people I’ve been with, I am curious how men typically view someone with this number of partners. I felt coerced into many of those encounters and am ashamed of it.
/r/RedPillWomen25/06/23 09:09 PM

Sometimes it comes up, and I don’t lie to people I date. I am curious about male opinions as I am straight, but I am open to feedback for anyone. Women may have good insight into this from their own experience.

Really? What is an acceptable number? Mine were all boyfriends, and the relationships did not work out. I’m spiritual but not religious, so in terms of mates, I’m open.

Midwest. Any six-figure income. 5’10 or taller. Integrity, manners, and a family man.
