I second this. It passes.

When she’s done, she’s done. I know her well enough and we’ve communicated enough that there is no way on this earth she’ll have me back. It’s a closed door. I’ve thought about it and I’ve asked under any condition if it would be possible, a resounding no. So I’ll move on the best way I can .

I see her at least once a week, but I text or talk to her almost 5 days a weeks because of kids and a rental business we still share.

We have kids and share a rental business together still. I have to. Plus we are also trying to coparent and keep things as consistent for the kids as possible.

Thanks. I keep getting in my head that I’m 40 and I’ll never find someone. Like I’ve accelerated my own demise. We will be ok, I just don’t know if I’ll like what ok means for me in the end.

Thanks. It seemed like it did pass, and then boom it all comes back. I’ve screwed up chances with really great women, and it’s a lesson each time in dating these days.

Love is a choice long term. You most likely don’t even know this woman well enough to even say that. It takes a hard time in a relationship to find out what Love is. You aren’t missing out on anything with that other woman. There’s a reason you married and had kids with your wife. Go read through what men in the sub are going through trying to reconnect with women. Once the other woman decides you aren’t for her or that hard times comes, you’ll find out. I (largely) messed my marriage up, I’m 11…

Thanks man. I do focus on them a lot when I have them. I don’t dwell on myself when they are around. I appreciate all the feedback.

I may be masking. I should curb the alcohol, I drink a few times a week when I don’t have the kids. Shitting coping mechanism and I shouldn’t do it. I need to hold myself more accountable in that regard. I do go to counseling still. Been to AA and it didn’t help. Mostly because I feel like I didn’t belong there. I 100 percent feel shame and guilt for my kids and what this has done. I have annual bloodwork and everything is perfect. I don’t think you’re being harsh. It’s a reality that I’m the cr…

I actually have. Couple years ago and I showed the signs. I was on an SSTI for 5 years. I wasn’t happy in the relationship either, otherwise I wouldn’t have been making the choices I was making. Constantly trying to make her happy and show her I loved her, especially near the end. When we separated, I got off the SSRI and started going to the gym and taking my kids everywhere. We had a lot of fun and we still do. I have weeks where I don’t think about any of this and I enjoy life. But I also hav…

Thanks. I have some projects around the house, I just can’t get myself motivated to work on them. I know I’m still trying to get external validation from dating, but I need to isolate myself from that for a while I think.

Looking into to supplements also. I don’t self satisfy much anymore. It doesn’t seem to affect either way. It’s weird.

Good idea on checking the other levels. I’m trying to get my T levels up, but it’s expensive without insurance. I don’t have to make it to the finish line, just want to consistently participate. I have an appointment with my doctor for cialis. He think it’s all in my head, but we’ll see what he says.

Lift heavier my friend. I’m in the best shape since my 20s right now. Improving everyday.

I don’t mind lasting longer, because that’s good for her. She likes that. My concern is with my drive and sometimes it’s a challenge of focus to get it up. That’s where the cialis would be good for me may e until I figure my mind games with myself out.

I wish this was the case, because it would make sense to me then. But it’s been great, best I’ve had. So it’s confusing.

Hopefully things will level out with me. I’m not worried about getting to the finish line, I just want to be able to participate without worry, haha

Yeah, I dated quite a bit but was devastatingly disappointed. This woman was the last woman I was going to talk to before deleting hinge, which I did delete. I’m cautiously optimistic with her, but it’s going good.

Yeah. I know for me, I was the same guy pretty much in that department until recently. It’s very strange to me. There is a lot going on, so hopefully it’ll balance out.

I noticed a small drop in drive when I first started taking it years ago, but everything returned to normal. I’ve been off of it for over 8 months now. I was on a very low dose (5mg). I wouldn’t think after being off of it for so long would matter. My approach to taking it with my doctor was I wanted to be on the smallest dose that helped. I didn’t want to be zoned out.

I keep seeing high body counts. What do you guys consider as high body counts? Over 10?

Negotiate a deferred payment on the house with her. Pay her what you can reasonably afford now, then Remaining equity based on an agreed to value later. I also put a clause that if the house value falls below what the agreed to value is, she gets less. Basically, current value now, then if market falls she also takes the hit, then if market goes up, you keep the value. If I sell before kids turn 18, I owe her more than what I paid. She’s either going to do what she needs to for the kids benefit,…

My STBXW and I have a rental business. We are going to continue to operate the business and I pay myself a management fee. We also wanted our kids to stay in the same house. We negotiated a price based on me buying her out, then if I sell prior to our kids turning 18 I owe her the market price (which is a higher amount). We make the same so no alimony or child support due to 50/50. You can do anything you want as long as both of you agree and sign the agreement. That’s the way it is in my state …

I need to do this. Same boat. Your post rings true for me. I haven’t reconnected with many yet, but I’m working my way there.

That’s the hope. I can’t see it right now though.

Thanks. I keep telling myself this is her choice and I have no control. I did have chances to change bad habits and keep broken promises, but didn’t make a serious enough effort until it was too late. It’s the hardest grief I’ve experienced. Talking to my counselor, he said it’s worse than a death of close one. I’m finding that true.

That’s insane. I’m sorry man. I know there are women out there like that, I just don’t understand what would drive someone to do that married.

Yeah, I was originally going to limit it to 2 beers, because I haven’t drank in a year. But I see that’s a bad idea given the timing

I usually drink carbonated flavored water, same effect

Yeah, no drinking going forward, I get that. I don’t really do social media other than the recent dating site cesspool. I’ve read several boundary and codependency books over the last year and I’m working with a therapist. Finances are fine. I’m working on number 6. All good points, appreciate the comment.

Thanks. No alimony, kids 50/50, and we are almost done with our separation agreement with no lawyers. We are trying to be reasonable and keeping the kids in mind. There hasn’t been any cut throat tactics in the process. I get that I’m probably idolizing her, it’s hard not to.
