Not crazy. Two years is a while, but waiting 5, 10, or 20 yrs is worse. If she won't engage in problem solving, you can't expect any improvement. Have you discussed therapy? Do you know anything about attachment theory? I'm no expert, but someone who pulls away or doesn't engage might be an avoidant pattern. Recommend you don't use a label with her, or anyone. Psychologizing someone's behavior will setback (maybe permanently) any progress your hoping for.

Look into attachment theory . That's been very helpful for me (anxiously attached). Spend some money on yourself - it's an investment. Meet with a therapist.

I'm with you on the kids part, but if I had it to do over, I think I'd buy some stranger's eggs and hire a surrogate to gestate them after my contribution was made.

I like the idea of that idea. I guess I could put my stuff in storage.

Yes, thinking a change will allow me to see the new identity of divorced rather than part of a couple. Part of the difficulty is from sacrificing much of my wants for marital harmony. Now I feel out of touch with what I want.

In this era of cell phones I wonder if the vexatious accusations carry any weight without photos of abrasions and bruises?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
