Have you considered traveling outside of America. Particularly to Southeast Asia? There's lots of places on the expat list that are worth checking out. It's semi-expensive to get a ticket over, not that bad if you don't mind flying coach.

Thailand is my favorite for the infrastructure and food. They also have a fairly simple Visa process for US. Citizens who are tourists. Just show up at the airport and will be given a 30-day Visa, and you can get that extended for an additional 30 days in country.

Other good places to check out are Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore. Depending on where you go, you're going to be either in the first world, or very strong second world.

Lots to see and explore, excellent food, low cost of living. Everything from beaches, to temples, to mountains.

Even before the divorce I had pretty much decided I was an expat somewhere just because my dollar goes so much further. There's a lot more to this planet than just the Western world. (By that I mean the US, Western Europe and Australia ). If you enjoy traveling and exploring, there's a lot of Great adventures to be had.

If you feel comfortable on two wheels, you can run a scooter and just sort of explore on your own. A lot of areas. Intra Asia airfare is incredibly inexpensive to fly from country to country.

I am going to head out of the country for a while, learn a new culture, language, meet new people, adventure. Most friendly countries allow you to stay for 90 days, some up to 1 year without a VISA. There are plenty of save places in Central and South America where you can live cheap, have great weather and experience a new culture. Some places in Europe, also have options... You can go to Ireland for up to 1 year without a VISA as well as Albana (Which I had friends that said it was amazing). Live your life like you never could or should have when you were married.

Why settle down in one place? Why not go mobile and travel all over the country until you find a place you like so much you want to call it home?

Honestly, ask one of the basic paid AI plans. Google’s Gemini Pro is pretty good, so is SuperGrok. Can sometimes get deals for like $10 for a month. Put your paid AI on “deep research” or whatever the setting is.

Then, start throwing very detailed queries at it. Include every single parameter you want or need. Recent rent prices (or housing prices). Weather. Number of days of sunshine. Winter temps. Demographics. Medical care and health insurance. Jobs. Preferred humidity. Electricity prices. Property and income taxes. Dating and availability of companionship. And on and on.

Just keep doing it over and over, refining your queries. Be sure to inquire about foreign countries too. You now have the ability to split time overseas, maybe even move entirely, or part of the year. Think about it, prices can be much cheaper and if only part time, you can always come back.

Also, let’s say you come up with several target locations, cities, metros, etc. You can then ask the AI to find you affordable pockets within that metro or city, right down to city blocks if you want.

This is a much better use of your time. Asking randos in a forum about divorce will be pretty much useless. No one knows if you want New Mexico or New Zealand.

But asking a quality plan AI, after you query it over and over, with follow-ups, using deep research capabilities, will yield solid reports and informed suggestions with granular data.

Are you just wanting a change? Sounds like where you're at is a good place to find women (If thats even what you're seeking).

Its hard to suggest where you should move to. Lots of things to weigh ot with that one. Maybe do a bit of traveling and check out some areas that you're interested in.

I am only 2 months into single life and I have zero idea what im going to do. Unfortunately I can't move due to my 13 year old girl and my boy who is almost 18. I almost feel like I need a change just for my mental health

What to do now?

Focus on your career/start a side hustle/Make more money.
Hit the gym daily.
Stay away from SINGLE moms at ALL costs and anyone who claims their ex was abusive. Do NOT raise another man’s child. You may end up being on the hook financially (Child support) for their kid if you leave.
Travel once a year.
Read books like No More Mr. nice guy
Open up the New Testament and start reading daily + listen to Charles Stanely on YouTube. • Learn to forgive your ex. This will set you emotionally and mentally free so you can begin enjoying life once again.
