I mostly have outdoor hobbies. But during the week I'm very busy because I work 9 hour days. Sometimes work Saturdays. Trying to make some improvements to myself and my life but that takes time.

And then you realize random sex is unfulfilling and ultimately you want an LTR that starts slowly and all that jazz. But the key is that you can't have that be your GOAL, or you're fucked (not literally). Just don't be a desperate loser and get a life. That's it. Women will love you and you'll make some cool friends and perhaps a gf along the way. Seriously You have to be in places to meet women to have any chance of being in a relationship. Yeah, sitting around and waiting for it won't change a…

Not my problem if you don't live in reality. I do.

It's definitely not pointless from a social standpoint. You learn things from it.

Oh make no mistake. Some do care. This is women we're talking about. They have endless options.

Yeah but I've met women that have a snarky attitude about it. Happen to be bald myself. This chick was like "all my men have hair". I asked her something like if she had something against bald dudes she went "it's not my problem". She honestly came off bitchy and it turned me off anyway. I won't bother with condescending or overly negative women. I don't hate my life and I'm not always positive but I'm not gonna let women make me feel bad for something that is beyond my control. Fuck em.
/r/seduction25/09/22 08:13 AM

I still don't believe in the apps even with the best pictures. Why? Because you have to be a jester for the women to respond to your messages. And I AM bald on top of that and I'm convinced advertising it when I started doing so got me less likes. I don't think I can stack up against other men on apps when they have hair and I don't.

Totally agree. As someone who's been complimented by women a lot the last couple years? When I don't try it's totally a discredit to myself. I still have problems approaching women when it's clear that I absolutely should not. But a bad grade school experience and sometimes rough home life did numbers on my self esteem. I'm still trying to fight to do what I deserve for myself.
/r/seduction25/09/22 08:00 AM

Is it though? Men don't go on dates or have sex without initiating. It's human biology. And as someone who's been complimented by and ogled by women - we men are often our own worst enemies. Most women won't approach us and they sure as hell aren't gonna ask us on dates 98% of the time. They don't have to. They expect us to do the ground work.

Facebook isn't any better. People will stalk your shit to level insults at you because they're lame and weak human beings.

Therapy did ALL THAT for you? I mean I'm in therapy too but that seems like a 0-100 progression. I'm not even a virgin myself but I don't do as well with women in bar scenarios. I have a really hard time approaching them there. And dating apps have been an awful and fruitless experience for me. I just don't believe in them generally. I've seen that a lot of women find me attractive and that sometimes I'm even treated better than others and it feels like a looks thing. However my confidence has a…

/r/MensRights18/09/22 06:57 AM

Yeah the difference there between women and men is night and day. Plus she can be below average attractive and be dating another man almost instantly. It is human biology but men definitely have the short end of the stick if you ask me on mating.
/r/seduction21/08/22 09:05 AM
9

The difference is that I might be dating a girl and have borderline attraction and meet someone else by pure chance. Then odds are I break it off with her and the other doesn't pan out. If you're a man the effort required to date is just on a completely different level. It's mostly human biology but dating apps have swung it even further in the favor of women. Harsh reality.
/r/seduction20/08/22 08:22 AM

And this is probably why you shouldn't care too much about breaking their hearts. Be compassionate, don't be a scumbag, but they can handle being broken up with or dropped. They have dating and sex so much better that I'm just not capable of feeling sorry for most women. It caters to them these days. That said. Some women don't have it too easy either. But on the whole it's just a cakewalk for them and that's what it is like being born with a vagina.

So I know that the sub and night game often are about getting laid but that's not even really my goal. I mean I would gladly partake but numbers are pretty cool to me too. It's hard for me to know what environments lend themselves to cold approaching women too. I've met plenty of cool dudes at bars but it's hard to make solid friends that way even as a younger guy. In the long run I'd like a relationship but getting used to socializing with random women is a good idea. If nothing else the bar fa…

Because most of the time nothing happens and I'm not getting any younger. At this point I'm gonna have to start approaching women. Otherwise I'm never going to be dating any. And I figure that even if I don't get a number or something doesn't go long term. At least I'd be getting comfortable at talking to random women. It's simple math. Todd V's video about Men's Dating Equation in 2022 explains it perfectly. You have to be meeting people in the long run. And I've been single almost 5 years. I n…

Those last two exclude me and explain why I've been single so long. Hell the first 2 do 95% of the time too. Hate this shit.

That one person a year explains why I've been single for almost 5 years. And people said "oh you can just get another girlfriend" and patronized me at the end of my last relationship. Haha. Yeah. It's SO easy. I knew it would play out this way afterwards. There's a reason that one hurt so badly. Plenty of people want the sex AND the person. I've not gone sexless in this almost 5 years. I'd be worried about everyone's safety if I did.

Try finding something interesting about her profile and comment on that And even then she probably won't respond. Basically, be funny, or your response rate is gonna be like 0.5%. Like it is for me.
/r/seduction16/08/22 11:49 PM

Because they take the behavior of a lot of men as how all men are. Even women overgeneralize. It's funny that someone like myself who doesn't have the highest self esteem wants long term stuff when most of the men who have higher opinions of themselves just want sex.
/r/seduction15/08/22 05:37 PM

My problem is my probably my childhood which was hard on my self esteem so I've been digging out of that hole for a long time. It's a bitch when it's clear that a lot of women find you attractive but your own brain and psychology screw you over.

I'm saving your post both for his comment and because I have to remind myself that it isn't always gonna spark off. Hell, even when I have women clearly into me, I can still fuck it up. There's a lot more we have to do right than women do to access the same relationships and sex. People don't say it's harder for men for no reason. It doesn't mean it's always gonna end in failure.

Lessons to learn for sure and I don't think it was a bad conversation with April. I did get to learn some things about her. She didn't give me a cold and dry vibe in conversation. I asked questions and she answered them expressively. She herself seemed to carry herself positively. I guess it was just a case of being a little out of sync with myself, her, and her friend.
/r/seduction14/08/22 08:08 AM

Alright so let me give some more detail. I was talking to April. Then her friend called her over for something. Since this was mid conversation I was waiting for them to finish up their interaction so I could continue the conversation. Something about me being there by April didn't seem to go over well when they were talking. Perhaps I should have stayed where I was and kept to myself. This is when her friend said that even though I put no part of me on her. It was kinda odd. I basically told Ap…

These are always tough situations but you have to think about what she meant to you as a friend. Do you absolutely need her friendship, or would you be better off looking for that elsewhere? It's all about how positive or negative of an influence she was.

Yeah but like, it's a numbers game, and thinking like that is just a defeatist way to be. Maybe she is entertaining a bunch of different dudes. But then, like, she isn't the one for me bro.

She might just be acting friendly like every other regular person. This honestly. It's too simple of a situation. Unless you're in the park birding like me and then maybe they ask if you've seen anything yet.

Honestly. I'm a light weight. I can have 2 or 3 beers and already be buzzed a great bit. Also. I find it hard to socialize first when I go somewhere. See, here's the thing, I'm not in it to just get laid. Sex is great and all, but I want a lasting connection. Her personality absolutely does matter in that endeavor. That said. Do I feel anxious around attractive women and while taking to them? Of course. I think there's always gonna be some degree of anxiety. What I'm trying to figure out is what I need to do to maintain a sense of calm and have a high enough level of confidence. I'm by no means the most attractive man around. I'm losing my ha…

What I think it comes down to is that most people are so focused on themselves that they don't care. Also, if you're anything like me, I give any man doing a cold approach major props. It takes a lot of courage to do so when men are constantly being lectured to about how to date women. Or just being lectured to in general. We have enough hardships as men anyway that don't get recognized by society at large.

"cold approach", "day game", and "closing" aren't bad terms and don't mean that it's a hobby for you. It just describes actions. People demonizing something because they don't understand the why is exactly everything wrong with this world. We all need to be able to close. It starts to feel a bit winded if I'm having to exhaust 2/3 of my energy in a conversation. Hell, I've made very few male friends from going out alone. Yet I've talked to plenty of strangers when I go out. If you spend your who…

Get a little drunk and approach them, alcohol reduces the anxiety This is true but speaking from experience, it quickly starts feeling like a crutch. Once I'm pretty buzzed and in a good mood it feels like I can talk to almost anyone. It's a struggle that I want to feel this way when sober but I feel like I can't until I'm warmed up.

It's being natural about it that can be hard for some of us. Hell. I was brought over to a woman and could still feel that "what do I say? thing coming up. Naturally, I just asked about things about her. Does she come here often? Where is she from? What does she do for a living? People like talking about themselves. I think the difficult thing is being able to segue and do so convincingly and with confidence. Still something I'm working on myself.

It goes into the passive and active social behaviors which is a different subject, but it's something I've been learning to improve on reading so that when passive nuisance arise I don't actually fault the person. Stop focusing on the only woman you're attracted to, and talk to all of them. How about when the ones you aren't attracted to show interest in you? How you gonna tell him to deal with that? That can be dangerous in and of itself.

The unfortunate truth is we have to approach no matter how many times it can go unfavorably. We don't get anywhere doing the same thing over. I'm on a journey myself of building my sense of self up.

"You will have lots of women trying to get with you". I mean. That's just not true even if you're decently attractive. Several women will have partners and be out with them, some won't even be interested in you regardless, and others may just be miserable people not worth anyone's time. Have to have a level headed mindset and see that there's gonna be a lot of duds, women that are half serious and don't follow up, and some rejections for sure. This is coming from someone who's had a couple night…

Yeah I have to agree. How can someone even say something like this to someone like myself - who is trying to build their confidence? I need to get to that place where approaching women isn't something I'm apprehensive to do. It doesn't matter if it goes well with one woman. What if she's terrible for me? Then I'm back at square one with the same issue I had before. Finding someone you're compatible with and worthy for the long run isn't easy. We can't get there if we don't vet through potential …

The only reason some of us aren't meeting women is because we lack the confidence to easily be social. I know there are a segment of women who find me attractive. Some of which find me really attractive. I have to play the same game others have to play but sitting out on the sidelines isn't gonna work. I'm trying to get things right in my own life. What if we don't have dreams? I don't have a calling. There isn't much that interests me. But I do have hobbies and they aren't social ones. I work to pay my bills and afford me a life outside of work. Dating apps don't work for me, and there have been times when it's clear that women do find me attractive and interesting. Let me know how it goes. It's difficult, that's for sure. I've gone to a couple bars alone and I usually wind up talking to someone I don't know. Be that men or women - in some cases its definitely been women. I think talking to both helps you in the long run. I think I'm gonna have to keep trying to go out alone a little bit. I'm at the point in my life where I'm skeptical that social circle or going out with friends is gonna produce anything. That said - Balance is a necessary thing in life.

Eh, well, they're not always drunk. However, yeah, they do have too many options especially these days. Makes it hard to believe in finding another partner for a relationship. Online dating has been a total waste of time for me that has given me mostly less-than-ideal results. IRL is pretty much my only hope at this point. Many men cannot read whether a woman is uncomfortable or wants you to just move along. It's common human decency and respect for another humans time. That's not me. I understand social cues. I was with a woman who had a smoking hot figure. She didn't have the prettiest face but she definitely wasn't ugly. It's not better than cold approach. I mean for fuck's sake. I'm 27. I've dated one girl from online dating and had to break it off because I constantly doubted my attraction to her. Besides her - my messages get ignored or I barely get any swipes. It's awful. Absolutely not. Plus I can market myself way better to women in person.

Yeah, it's just not gonna happen 98% of the time. The one time I kinda had it happen is at my favorite dive bar. I was up by the bar and she came up to order a drink. She just started talking to me. She walked away after we had a conversation before seeing her again and another girl came up and said "I think she was into you". Depends on the environment but it's really rare. Just an unfortunate part of being a man.

We can't let technology irreparably change our behaviors. There's value in meeting new people in the real world rather than through an app. I personally have way better luck in the real world rather than a dating app. Sure, some women would still turn me down, but the difference is too great to not favor one over the other. If dating apps were the only way there's quite possibly a chance I never wind up in a relationship ever again. Idk why, but I have some of the worst luck with those damn thin…

It's good to go out with friends but there's a real feeling of empowerment when you get over the hurdle of going out alone. It's not easy, and I still have some trouble with it, but I've talked to random women when out alone before. As far as the apps, I'm utterly disappointed by the few women that swipe on me especially lately, so IRL is better. The difference can be astounding. One night I made out with an 8 in the street on a 10 degree night. That same girl isn't usually swiping me right on a…

His message lacks compassion while pointing fingers. Sure. Some people are shitty people. It's called human beings. That won't ever go away. If one knows their worth then they aren't gonna play this game of self limiting by assuming someone is out of their league when they don't know that for a fact.

If you are a 5-6 an 8 doesn't want you approaching her. It's like a bum on the street asking for change for the 100th time. This is all subjective. I might be a 7 or an 8 to one woman and a 6 or a 7 to another. You're better off thinking women see you positively on an attractiveness scale because you won't be disqualifying yourself for no reason. That being said, I cold approach and I'm very successful at it because I don't overcomplicate it, I can read if a woman is open to it and I'm not a soc…

Is this not a subtle difference? I mean. No man who wants to date women sits at home and does nothing. Yes, it's not just getting a number or getting laid, it's making a connection. I have to be willing to talk to women, and also question if an individual woman is someone I want to be around. I do have things to offer, and don't want my good intentions to be taken advantage of. Now. If I don't have a big social circle, or am not fortunate with online dating, cold approach is one of the few ways …

I agree with this. I ran into an acquaintance tonight from years ago. We had a decent conversation and she did mention her boyfriend. I had no idea if she was dating anyone. I was interested in her in the past but approached it in kinda the wrong way. I'm proud to say that news didn't knock me off of talking to her. This was probably the best conversation I've had w/her. If you have an average conversation the BF will come up at some point.

You can never win with these people. Hmm, maybe that’s why men aren’t approaching her! Yeah, seriously. It's not helping our natural biology of having to approach to date. And women often don't want to approach men. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'm not even sure what the transgender thing has to do with anything relevant. I don't care if people want to change genders. That doesn't have anything to do with me and frankly, as a man, I often feel like a lot of things in my life would be better if I was a woman. That doesn't mean I want to be a woman though. It just means I have empathy for people who are different than me. I'd describe myself as center left but definitely socially liberal. However I find modern feminism to often be damagi…

I commute to the city for the moment. I'm trying to get a better paying job so I can move from where I live now. Rural area. Not akin to dating for a single late 20's man.

Now I'm in my 30s so to me sexy isn't a guy playing in a band but a guy who has a job and makes at least 6 figures. I don't ever want to hear again that women don't care about money. Seems like you have to be perfect to get a woman these days.

I would say the trouble is feeling like you need to have something interesting to say. The thing you're trying to do is start a conversation. You don't ask for a number in the approach for a number of reasons that should be obvious. How do I know she's even someone worth dating other than she's attractive? I want her to feel she can talk to me about almost anything. It makes having a good time a lot more likely. If OP is anything like me then his #1 problem is his own head getting in the way.
/r/seduction05/07/22 07:11 AM

A+ comment because it also helps people like me who often just don't even approach. So often I'm thinking to myself "what would I even say if I approached her?" I think OP should just talk to her. He's already done so before, and it's even easier when she talks first.

By bulking you mean fat though right? I mean if you turn it into muscle I don't see the problem. I'm skinny myself but I've had more than one woman tell me I have a pretty face. I don't think putting on muscle would be bad but I don't have any interest in losing a handsome face.

I mean. Evidently they work for some men. Just not very many of them. It kinda boggles me when I meet attractive women IRL that are into me and yet it's few and far between on apps. My problem by far is reaching the women that like me.

Yes and no. I was out with friends once. They were talking to a couple women. I was off to the side doing my own thing and relaxing. One of them wanted me to come over. I wound up making out with her later that night before we all went home.

Absolutely. I'm not saying I don't have any friends I'd deem attractive. Hell, a lot of my friends are older than me. Anyways that was kinda hypothetical because we are all attracted to different things/people.

As someone who has approach anxiety... That's exactly my problem. You either approach and take a shot or get nowhere. That's how it is for almost all men.

I think it's easy to be negative in 2022. If you're anything like me, you've had a negative experience with online dating. You're told you shouldn't approach women at x, y and z place. Then you throw your hands up like "well, where the fuck do I meet women then?"

It's the disequilibrium that bothers me. The way it makes me feel like I'm starting to have a vestibular migraine can make me anxious. Although sometimes I think it also doesn't make me more anxious. However I don't think it makes me more outgoing either.

Perspective is always a big thing. What I've realized, and while it's tough to remember, is that no one can save us. However, others can guide us, and remind us of things we might forget. Or maybe things we didn't consider. I still have a long ways to go. I myself am getting quite frustrated with myself. Especially as someone who is creeping closer to 30. I am my own worst enemy and I'm sure many men in this sub feel the same way.

This is a fantastic post. So much empathy and compassion. You don't see things like this online very often.

I'm pretty sure alcohol makes me more anxious. That or I'm just getting to the buzzed/tipsy level and not drunk. But I also don't think getting drunk is wise for someone like me. Even if you talk to them about how the music is too loud and your feet hurt. I disagree here big time. These sort of comments are negative. Even if you mean well and are trying to start a conversation - you likely will be received poorly. People are overly-negativity averse especially these days. They will treat you poo…

Ugh. Why do we have to get into abortion. I mean. I'm for men's issues and I'm also pro choice. Making abortion illegal will not curb abortion. It will just result in a would be mother dying. Trading the born for the unborn. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

Is it always toxic mothers? I don't necessarily think so. I think toxic fathers can have the same impact. I'm pretty sure that's exactly where my ex's behavior came from. Because her father spoiled her for one thing. So she expected everyone to give her everything.

Style matters much less to me than fit. Clothes that fit well will always be in style IMO. For example. Thought I need large tee shirts. Always thought medium was too small. Wrong. Medium is better because it makes me look bigger than large does. Large just makes me look thinner which is no bueno cause I'm already pretty skinny. It's about playing around and seeing what suits you best.

Ehh. I don't think looks have nearly as much to do with it as you think. I've had more than one woman tell me I have a pretty face. I've been out with friends and on more than one occasion had a woman show interest in me. Yet most of the time it wasn't because I did the approaching. They just happened to be talking to my friends and pulled me over or I've been pulled over to talk to them. Yet most of the time I'm too anxious to cold approach. The one time I did it recently I had the woman in to …

Yeah, you're kinda throwing a label on people with this very comment. I lean left but I'm also a man and so I see the hypocrisy that women (and often feminists) promote and I stand against it. I really don't like modern day feminism at all. My point is that you're still painting people into a box yourself. I myself don't fit in a box. I'm more like a Venn diagram.

You have to love yourself before you can love anyone else I disagree. Plus this phrase is just a fucking platitude at this point. We don't teach people how to cope with the shitty rock we live on. Instead we throw words at them. No wonder shit doesn't ever get any fucking better. It won't until people want better and actually do shit differently.

They will never be punished for their lies and those that put themselves first will be sided with. It just annoys me when certain people are so selfish they refuse to learn this lesson. Learn to love yourself first and others will follow. If you phrase it this way then they will never follow your message. It lacks any compassion. It's hollow.
