I'd say the teens are the figure shit out years, and the 20s are the getting shit done years. Ideas without execution are delusions. Always work for yourself. Even when you're working for someone else, absorb and learn, invest in your skills and intelligence. I'm grateful to be a medical student cuz honestly it's a less competitive cutthroat field when everyone's career is relatively secure. You can work as an employee or you can set up private practice. It's all up to you tbh.

Yeah you described it perfectly well. I think the scheduling a "rest block" is a good idea. I'll definitely incorporate that. That way I"ll still have "control" on a macro level

I have no sex life. I could use some pointers of construcitng one. Children are definitely important but I feel that I am too mcuh of a control freak and perfectionist to ever be able to settle.

I should definitely be careful, you're right. But what's the alternative?! I look at my peers and all they do all day is scroll around instagram, spending hours putting filters on photos and showing off themselves, PLAYING ON THEIR PHONES WHILE WE ARE OUT ON A SOCIAL GATHERING, completely distracted and unable to focus when studying... I mean holy shit. I look at my peers and am completely disgusted by their behavior. It stings me to my core knowing that on any bad day, I'd fall onto their level…

I see what you mean -- yeah definitely. But I get so "uptight" that sometimes I'd rather stay in just to save myself the time of transportation, and beer/eating out would be a terrible idea on a macronutrient level. I realize it's a bit hardcore but I just get really frustrated whenever I "fall off the wagon", so most of the time, I might as well choose to stick with the disciplined path. As Shia Labeouf said, "if you're tired of starting over, stop giving up".

I definitely see the importance of socializing. But getting a girlfriend to "pass time" sounds like a recipe for disaster. I think "passing time" is a mistake a lot of people in our youth makes, and the debt they incur can become unpayable in the future. As Robert Greene says, "all the time spent not accumulating skills will catch up to you, and the fall will be painful". You're wasting your youth -- a period open to creativity, a period when you can still be light on your feet without personali…

One whole day is quite a lot... that's 52 days in a year (two months time almost). I was thinking half-a-day would be sufficient enough

You just need to learn how to relax and give yourself a break. Precisely this. I'm just looking for some novelty I suppose, such that the monotonous grind can be more bearing. I'm looking for any pointers. I understand that "relaxing" is an abstract concept that's different for everyone, but I'd really appreciate a framework on how to approach "relaxing" and "enjoying life" without being at the detriment of my ambitions and overall improving my quality of life.

Hey man, don't get me wrong, I am incredibly grateful for the position I'm in. Honestly. It took me a lot of hard work but it's made me a better person, no doubt. I guess that's the problem -- what else is there to do? My entire life is disciplined from early rising to studying to hitting the gym to reading a book. There are times when everything is just so routine and automatic. It brings me clarity and it makes me very efficient, but I almost lost my sense of personality as a result. There are…

Why would it be rough at first. I can't imagine living my life if i didn't at least track what I'm doing. That's the equivalent of being lost in a jungle VS tracking your bearings and mapping your efforts. Do people not track what they do? Even just a general idea of oh I'm around this waist size for the past year or I've spent this much money this past month is a form of tracking. Even children track how much time they spend on games and track their quest progress and levels

The average woman does NOT get this attention. If you were born an ugly chick you're done. If you're born pretty but don't take of yourself you're done. If you're born pretty and take care of yourself... Awesome, but you too would be done as old age hits you in your late 30s and that's being pretty conservative. And in any case if you don't go out at all, if you don't have a social circle, if you don't have a life that exposes you to attractive guys, the best you can hope for is to settle with a…

Damn, mind elaborating? I'm a twenty one year old (god, I'm fucking young compared to you guys) and I feel like I'm at a deadend in terms of friendships and relationships. I've spent my waking hours on my goals (med school and the gym) at the detriment to all my acquaintances and social circle (of which I have none). I have a few close friends but as the years go by and as I grow, while I treasure their support and loyalty, it's clear to me that we are no longer on the same playing field (they a…

Appreciate your comment but perhaps I could've worded my question better. How exactly do you meet guys with higher SMV? I don't really have a social circle per se, and just hang out with a few guy friends (one-on-one) every week or so. While one or two of my close friends have goals, most are content and willing to just get by in life, to settle for a job that they don't like, to just support their family and "make ends meet". They don't really have any other aspirations other than "to find a st…

Hmm, this is something I've been thinking about. Where do you find men that are higher SMV? This may sound arrogant but I seem to be the highest SMV in my current social group (on an objective level intellectually, physically, spiritually), and although that's alright (it's good to be respected, to inspire, and to bring your friends up with you), at the same time I wished I could associate myself with people of a higher caliber; with more experience, skills, knowledge that I could learn from. I'…

This is something I've struggled with as well. I think the only solution is just to try (and believe me I struggle with this too) to interact with them on a nonjudgemental level. Indeed, there are a lot of things I disdain about their behavior mainly because I have been their myself -- I see my pathetic behaviors reflected in their actions. But I think the only way to actually navigate the social arena is to traverse it with non-judgemental eyes... it's the only way you can integrate within the …

God fucking damn. I hope this comment doesn't get buried because this is something I struggle with continuously and immensely, and it creeps up on me at least once a month to the point where I'm thinking I oughta invest on tampons. A bit of background: three years ago was a fatass, shit grades, didn't study, had no concept of "discipline" and hence my diet, sleep, hygiene, were all out of whack. Fastfoward now (21y/o) and I am the opposite of everything: physically fit, med school, learnt basic …

That fucking sucks. I've always had an admiration for true masters in any field... In fact I think this admiration, and the process of submissing myself to a true master or to my own cause, is intoxicating and an essential part of learning. I feel no greater feeling in my life than total immersion and submission to a master, and can say all my achievements career wise, lifting wise, have come from transcending my masters and moving onto greener pastures. As they say in fencing. El maestro cuchill…

While the majority of cases are positive, I'd play devil's advocate. jealous men will also treat you worse in passive aggressive ways and go behind your back, and some women will tend to be more nervous and shy around you and take a bit longer to "open up". I enjoy having a dynamic with girls that involve teasing and flirting with each other and usually that takes longer because I exhibit a more "serious, intense, in control" demeanor now. Especially with my tonality sometimes girls would take m…

Get new friends bro. They weren't your friends to begin with. I started my journey two years ago too. Gained some weight in high school, was a fat, single, eighteen yesr loser who sacrificed his teens to get good grades into med school when it was simply becsuse of shit habits. Hung out with a group of nerds who never get laid. But yknow what, they're my friends. They still are. Thanks for sharing, that's a pretty good mindset to have. Use women as a learning tool to help refine your own character. Much like books are to the mind and iron is to the body, women is to your masculinity. They expose your weaknesses. It might hurt at first, you might feel lost outside your comfort zone, you might be in denial that you were any less than perfect... but just sit through it, accept it, and grow from it. That's what I took from ur friends quote and I can't think of a healthier m…

Fellow med student here as well. 21yo in year 3. Thanks for the post, it's what I do but have been slacking off for the past month. I usually aim for four in the morning and four at night. Eights hours total tend to be the sweet spot. While the gym and academia are not a problem for me, I do want to improve on expanding my social circle. cliniCal years has made the few friends I have in med school distant and busy... I see it as a greater sense of priority and education. Most people have made the mistake of starting a family in their mid twenties just to regret no wrapping it up, and now they have a chikd to take care of, a marriage, and no career whatsoever or any self identity (passions, hobbies, or self pursuits). I myself am in my early twenties and in medical school. Will become a doctor wheb I'm twenty four and will decide on where to practice and how to expand my social circle after that. Right now th…

When a guy would say "good girl" to me, this would have a strong effect. A guy who made it clear he desired me could also do it, just the sensation of feeling desired was potent. Touch would - for some reason just the feel of a guys hands on me would have a very strong effect. Keep in mind when you're saying this, you probably don't mean all guys. I imagine if a low SMV guy touched you, you would have a different reaction. Or if a stranger (even if he was hot) touched you, you'd be alarmed.

Thanks bro. Yeah I mean, I think of it like a mutual give-and-take. I'd rather be in a position where I'm offering more value than I'm taking -- something that doesn't take much from me, but completely enhances someone else's perception of me. It's true what you said about "they don't care about you", but at the same time, me being seen with an attractive female also boosts my SMV; just as she is being seen with a high SMV male. You're absolutely correct. Which is why I think in my position, it is more important to emphasize my AF traits (carefree, DGAF, drive a dope car and use that money to upgrade my style... basically a "baller" lifestyle) in order to counteract my career/financial status. I see the merit in not telling them that I'm a doctor per se, but perhaps a better answer would be something like "I chop people open and save their life" or something with a lighter tone. In other words, downplay my BB traits If …

Nerdy classmates are one thing -- stereotypically they don't lift, don't take care of their personal hygiene, their only contribution to the world is their brain. Why do you think Doctors are stereotyped as BBs, simply because of how much they make? I'd argue that a person with a well-established career, in peak mental and physical condition, is pretty high up on the SMV scale.

i don't know man, i'm younger than you, ask some of the mods and big names here, probably good to hide the fact you're a doctor from women when you first meet them and reveal it after a while if they ask be like i'm in the health industry lol Shouldn't I use me being a doctor as an alpha trait though? It's an excellent trait that shows I'm among the top of the pecking order, and imply that I have a high SMV. I'm talking about this from a pure strategic standpoint. For example, there are entrepre…

Perhaps, but if you catch two rabbits you'll end up getting none. At my age 21 (I'm assuming you're older and wiser), won't it be better to maximize my med school career. I'm already pursuing two goals right now (almost hit the 1000lb club for lifting, and aiming to get on the honors' list for medical school); these two goals are supported on a solid framework of a proper sleep-wake cycle, diet, meditation, and supplementation. Had I have an extra hour or two in my day, I'd rather spend that tim…

That's clearly a generalization but it's meritable in that it provides a good starting point for discussion. I'm likely gonna fall in the first category (doctor in his mid 20s), and I've seen my popular high school classmates getting pretty shit jobs and some even failing to find a job. That said, most of the girls in her mid to late 20s are likely leftovers of the cock carousel. Right now at my age, girls are at their prime when guys like me are just getting started. Girls my age (as long as sh…

Id also add habits like smoking or alcohol. A girl that doesnt take care of herself (hygiene, diet, fashion style), especially her body (exercise)... Is likely to have no discipline, or self awareness required to maintain a healthy relationship. In my experience all the girls ive dated that smoked (among other traits) were pretty self entitled.

EDIT A bit of a tangent, but I needed to get this off my chest. It's been a tough week. I'm a twenty-one year old, current medical student. I'd like to share my experience. My Asian parents only wanted what would make me the most happy. But for a eighteen year old fresh out of highschool who had to decide on a university program, that could often be a tough choice. Your last point is something quite hard for me to internalize. might you offer an analogy/anecdote? Since I remember I've always been a selfish person. And TRP only makes me even more stingy with my time and attention (rendering me pretty much a hermit , albeit a productive and efficient one)

Yeah, I know mate, and I totally understand. If it makes you feel better, on behalf of all other assholes I apologize. I've matured since then, and I hope for a new, better way to live my life so that I'm not only enriching myself but the people that matter to me as well.

Thanks. Yes that's a much better way to put it. Empathy is actually something that doesn't come to me easily, and thus I have no inherent need/tendency to be kind/compassion. That said, it is a skill I wish to cultivate -- nobody likes an asshole and nobody likes to work with a selfish asshole. Any suggestions on books I could read or videos I could watch to cultivate this kindness?

Make people feel important through attention, not compliance. Excellent. This was the answer I was looking for. Your summary distinguishing both ends of the spectrum also really did it for me. The man I want to become is one who's like "The outcome is the only thing that matters. I'd love for everyone to be agreeable, to support me, to understand, and to feel welcomed/appreciated... but that is secondary to the goal". Or maybe a better way to sum it up is "I'm going along this path. I'd love to …

Because I'm guessing you have no issues makjng jokes with your parents or brothers or sisters. That's the thing. I've never been associated with the funny guy since high school (when I was a bully). Yes, every now and then I'd make a exaggerated impersonation, be sarcastic, and pretend to overreact over things, but it's usually very subtle remarks that don't get more than a courtesy chuckle -- not really the charming humor I wish to hone.

Stumbled upon this again on this night when thoughts are circling my head and could not sleep. Thanks for grounding me my friend. After a really relaxing/uneventful course at school right now (it's temporary for the next one month) with no stress, homework, or assessments; me being bored out of my fucking mind, I got a bit misaligned with my "mission". Fair question I speak only for myself (student) but would be interested in how best to prepare for adult life (developing masculinity). Things such as books, ways to conquer the education program, and most importantly, identifying what your MISSION is and EMPLOYING STRATEGIES to achieve that goal. I don't see anything wrong with old yous answer as long as it's coming from a frame of you not really meaning it. If anything, it would be more effective than your long winded explaination. Let me explain. How does one weed them out. There are girls that aren't having sex with you on the first or second date because they DO have self control and are plateworthy... What's the reasoning behind this law? A woman can survive on her own, a child can't. Does the same apply if a man divorces a woman? Does the woman have to give his man 50% as well? This makes no sense, I'm trying to understand thid (I'm from China where patriarchy is still relatively strong)

Fuck man. This hit home. This was the type of shit o pulled on my friends in primary school (used a bb gun and kept shooting my friends ankle cuz I thought it was fun) When I realized all my friends abandoned me because NOBODY LIKED ME... I decided to change and become more "socially acceptable" instead so I got a med degree to make my parents happy. That said, I still have that kinda tendency. I disagree. I'm not sure WHAT I am, but I found that meditation (by detaching yourself from your own emotions) helps (to detach yourself from external emotions). By going to that calm state you can essentially function like a pragmatic higher consciousness robot. It's easier to call the shots because it's based on logic (if firing a fifteen year secretary because based on my calculations, she's a dead weight cost, then yeah consider it a no brainer)

I agree. I've never been diagnosed, but through my childhood I was a problem kid and had many tendencies that could be attributed to psychopathy. Indeed, ID always get into trouble (to get what I want). I'd steal. I'd bully other kids. I'd make girls fight against each other for me to feel validated. I got almost expelled from secondary school one year for those activities and felt really lonely. I had essentially realized that I had bullied/hurt all my friends away and nobody really liked me, t…

Damn, did not know that. Thanks. 10 days? And then I thought musk was a genius... EDIT: i read up a little, turns out Riley filed for a divorce just few days ago, expected to keep the Tesla roadster, all the Gucci watches and potentially billions. There may be some reasoning behind the divorce (musk is an eccentric guy to say the least), and I thinking saying that Riley planned this in advance would be giving her far too much credit. I think the lesson to be learned here is to never get married …

Now hustling and living life on own terms (while consuming self-improvement entrepreneurial podcasts/books). Send me a PM if you wish to get deeper into this. I won't be surprised at all if we knew each other from a past time from the runescape video community, and it'd be incredible to find someone from my past, going on the same journey as me here.

Maybe he is. Spiegel, being young and relatively intelligent (based on his ability to capitalize on Snapchat) seems to be well versed in strategy (he didn't sell Snapchat to Facebook because he recognized it's potential). I won't be surprised if Spiegel was using her for sex, publicity, and her as a "trophy" for fun. He had the power. True, but time on one thing means time away from another. There's a reason why all the greatest ninds that ever lived aren't the most well balanced (elon musk and Steve jobs are geniuses that sacrifice/disregarded their social lives to get where they are, bill gates his physique, etc etc)

I'm talking terms of attraction though... The one with the biggest net is more resourceful sure, but not the most sexually attractive necessarily. What I'm trying to say is all the great minds that changed the world (einstein, elon Musk, Steve jobs) arent pussy magnets. Rather, alot of the low lifes are (bartenders, drug dealers, etc) Why is this??? Technically the former group has a greater SMV

Very well said. I share the same viewpoint. In many ways my interactions are very mood-dependent so I try to minimize as few social commitments as possible. But whenever I do commit -- and here's a mindset that may help you-- I make sure to have fun. I force myself to enjoy myself regardless of circumstance, and to have a good time

Time spent on one thing is time away from another. There's always an opportunity cost. I just can't seem to justify it. And when I do the "ill just hangout with you guys when I feel like it" approach, my people don't appreciate it (naturally)

My dillema is that on one hand I recognize the inevitable need and essential need to socialize. On the other, every time I do I regret and feel guilty about it (that time could be spent on work, I tell myself). There's a lot of wisdom in your post but there's two points that caught my eye: What I mean is, the guys my age that are considered top 10% (the one getting laid every week) don't seem to even have high SMV. they work minimum wage jobs (bartending), go party a lot, and perhaps there's envy in the coming statement but honestly they seem like a bunch of low life's that would become irrelevant in the passage of time. I'm on the same boat and this may be an unconventional response on TRP but this is what works for ME. I was never really a beta to begin with and had success with women up until my depression hit me in highschool. I stumbled upon TRP and it has helped me recenter my purpose in life, taught me useful skills like social dynamics, and helped me form great habits. All responses are great but I like this the most. You need to be doing more important shit in your life. Once that's settled the right responses come naturally. Whenever someone (even if he's a guy) says that's to me I'll automatically say "sure". Even if it's important, it can wait (if I'm busy doing something). My takeaway could be summed to one simple sentence: always caress other people's ego; make them feel important. All the rules in this book, I've noticed, stem from this underlying philosophy. Your comparison with the East vs West cultures really blew my mind! I'm an Asian dude (20yo) living in an Asian country, though in terms of culture I identify myself more with Western culture -- valuing autonomy over the collective. Because of this, I suspect, I've experienced great success with European women (and other women from an international/Western background), but generally feel "out of place" with women that are more traditional (goals to be a good housewife, get married in mid 20s, do…

Got a question for you. I'm twenty now and in med school, so by juggling between studies and gym, I essentially don't have a lot of time to pursue women (which is a form of instant gratification and thus a bad habit). I've quit television and video games, and kept YouTube entertainment to a bare minimal and replaced my "downtime" with reading books for leisure. I enjoy this life. And it's made me super productive. I completely respect your journey too, do what makes you happy. Personally, I just can't justify spending time on women when I can be spending time on tasks that would have a higher return-on-investment. Part of the reason, admittedly, is because I haven't had that much success with women (and the ones that I had success with, seemed like a source of instant gratification that wasn't worth it in the end... it wasn't substantial). Not sure if this is true. I love neuroscience and some rather "fringe" interests. I'd disagree, or at the very least proceed with caution. If you did this every time you felt the slightest bit of boredom (giving it up and doing something new) it will be hard to make progress substantially in any area of your life. You saw something real about the way women work that most men will not be BLESSED to see. That's an excellent way to frame it. Well, yeah. I do see the benefit in the "costume switching". Instead of faking a personality, I rather have to actively remind myself to show specific sides of me. Example: It's easy to be down and negative when you have a bad day, but you could always remind yourself to smile to make the social situation flow better in your favor (otherwise, they may think you're rude and that will just add even more problems to your plate). Stoicism hasn't helped me in that regard (nor has it hindered me). It …

I'm not sure what you mean by costume switch. To me it's quite simple. When I was born, I was dealt a hand. I know my strengths (dominating, assertive, intellectual) and my weaknesses (physical, selfishness, manipulative/machiavellian, no morals, always getting into trouble). When I began my self-improvement journey I decided the purpose of my life will to harness my strength (use my intellectual skills to create something I'm proud of in my life). Was she even attracted to you in the first place though? If she wasn't, it's quite surprising how women could change their minds in one instance. Sounds almost like she's joking (not to demean you). No better way to start off a new year. I like most of the things in your post. It's not out of revenge, it's out of learning. To understand something you must experience it. It's like a lab experiment. It's one thing to read about AWALT and Hypergamy, but it's better to experience it first-hand, especially if you're on the receipeient side (i.e. you're the alpha fuck). I can't seem to enjoy things anymore, unless there is a desirable outcome. It's like eating McDonalds, or getting addicted to junk food -- people enjoy it, but it doesn't have a desirable outcome, so you have to be mindful. Same for women. If you're not exploiting women or getting something out of the interaction (genuine enjoyment), then she's not worth your time -- you're better off spending it on yourself.

You are still giving away fucks, stop giving any fucks You may be right, but I'm definitely not giving a fuck with regard to women per se. You'll have to trust me on this. I simply feel minimal emotion to them in general, not even lust/love, but certainly a bit of distrust. Again, I do worry about myself and what I want. This is simply part of who I am (I'm a selfish person that tends to do whatever I can to get what I want), and sometimes a bit too much to the point where I'm disliked because I…

Thanks, this comment is something more along the lines of what I was looking for. You pretty much spelled out in plain English what I should do. You're right. That "look around in your class-room and 'guess' who is cheating, which one is into girls etc" ordeal is putting the focus on the wrong thing. I'm a rather conceptual learner so before accepting and fully internalizing a phenomena/fact/idea I must be able to have things confirm it... Becoming that player that you secretly want to be, but a…

Okay this is one of the things that I really have trouble with, especially after a few months of Monk Mode (which essentially is "default mode" for me since I'm a medical student). Well, I do tend to overthink things so this may not be surprising. I understand that girls are attracted to fun things. But I feel the need to fuck "taken girls" in order to get a closer glimpse into TRP reality -- to get a better grasp and understnading of female hypergamy and why they are able to cheat without remorse. I have indeed read it twice, though I suppose I do see the need to review it (it's been a year). Do enlighten me: give me some hints what I'm looking for. My assumption is that you're thinking of hypergamy, how women use emotions over logic when rationalzing (hamstering), etc -- but these answers don't seem to satisfy me... they feel incomplete in the grand scheme of things : why women are able to cheat without remorse yet WE do not?

Would it not be possible that it's a COMFORT test instead? OP would be the best judge of that (based on tonality and body language, and other cues). While I don't directly disagree with you, I believe plates (and relationships) require a bit of comfort to maintain. Girls want to know they're important (to a certain extent) in your life -- to feel validated by an alpha male. You must give her an incentive to stick around, to essentially feed her hamster (e.g. her friends may be saying "that guy i…

I'll go further to say that the ones that work are where YOU have the power over the sexual tension (e.g. she's the single one and you're the one in the relationship, or she's the interested one and you're the one choosing to be single for the time being). In other words, you're withholding sex from her, and by keeping that sexual tension and even encouraging it, it drives them crazy. They will supplicate and do favors for you (much like a beta orbiter to a sexual female) in order to get more of…

These are all great screening cues, especially agreed with the one about the daddy issues (esp. when they talk about their dad as someone of a power figure that they fear/rebel against). Let me flip the question the other way around -- what are some cues that show that a woman is worthy of more of your attention/commitment. In other words, what attributes do you screen for when looking for girls worthy of the plate/fuckbuddy, FWB, or potentially LTR status?

Listen to this guy. Be more selfish and invest in yourself. Those were my goals in highschool too and I didn't feel fulfilled when I've achieved them...the most fulfillment I got was getting into med school by working hard on my grades, and my body in the gym. The pussy now comes like tap water.

It doesn’t mean you have to be this never smiling, lone wolf rebel who thinks he’s super edgy This is what I am right now. I've never been a beta per se (simply just never valued women enough to put them on a pedestal), however I do still have some tendencies that may be considered "beta" (e.g. taking things too seriously). Currently I'm this never smiling, lone-wolf person by default. I'm twenty, and being on this self-improvement journey (lifting, studying for med school, meditation/spiritual)…

Yeah definitely, I guess the reason I struggle with this is because I don't have fun in most interactions -- I found most people dull, boring, and incredibly flawed (they say they'll do something -- like hit the gym -- then procrastinate and whine, etc). And it's a vicious cycle, because I see them this way, I don't have fun, and because I don't have fun, neither could they, etc... TRP is limiting risk by limiting investment. The most extreme situation in this case would be to have zero investment yet still get benefit (e.g. the hypothetical situation of lying in bed and having a whole queue of women knocking on my door). Obviously this isn't the case, I think one must invest (even just a little bit) in order to get something in return. I was in Monk Mode (and still have remnants of that lifestyle right now) and although I had zero investment in women (would even shun them…

That said, there is little an older man could tell me at this point should he lack the experience or the intellect to back it up. I relate to this; does the world not seem quite dull at this point though? Because that's how I felt when it seems like every new person that I interact with is faceless and a clone of someone that I've met before -- how every new experience or emotion I feel is simply a duller shade of something I experienced before. Especially when compared to my childhood when I sa…

I definitely agree with you -- one can't build an empire without the help of other people, and even if he can, it's much more efficient to allocate jobs/tasks to people under you, so you can focus/maximize on your specialty/output. Elon Musk comes into mind -- hundreds/thousands of people are working to build his vision. So yes, I agree that even if I can do it without others, it's much wiser and efficient to have them on my side. Problem is as of right now, at the age of twenty, I just don't se…

More like you need food but the ground around it has mines buried. You have to tread lightly and understand the mines are there. Very apt analogy, but like I said, knowing the risks, why would you enter the minefield in the first place -- is the reward of sex really worth the risk. In a sense, that's no different than putting pussy on a pedestal. For sex and sex alone. Just out of curiosity, is this the only utility you see in females? Hookers would do the trick if all you needed was sex. You me…

I think the word you're looking for is "mysteriousness". If you are a dominant man that holds frame, you can be quiet, lonely, isolated but still have an air of mysteriousness. Women would associate that if you carry yourself well (body language, style, etc), then surely you are CHOOSING to be an isolated man, and just like every other female fanfiction out there (e.g. twilight vampires and whatnot) they'd start fantasizing and applying connotations to you -- essentially their hamsters are worki…

You misunderstand, I do see your point and agree that acceptance (as opposed to trying to "fight it" or "change it") is the way to go. My question is that why, after TRP, would a man with any self-respect and discipline still indulge in women? That time could be spent building an empire, reading books, manipulating people to advance your career. Knowing that women are like that, why even bother? It's like someone that knows heroin is bad for you, but still takes it. Women are not a necessity and…

Learn thy enemy Sometimes, instead of feeling anger from the enemy, we can learn a few things -- using their tactics against them. The comment about saying "we have no chemistry" is brilliant. Here'a few more that I've learnt throughout my (rather short, I'm only twenty) journey with women: (i) Much like how women have orbiters, guys can also have orbiters. In the same way, I wouldn't engage or go to a place with "wasps" in the first place if I didn't want to get stung. So why on earth would men, after discovering TRP, still engage with women -- still putting themselves at risk …

I see what you mean -- but what's the point if the costs outweigh the benefits. As you said the effort is high. At least in the gym, benefits IMMENSELY outweigh costs. Socializing, the COSTS immensely outweigh benefits. Quite right. We were born alone and we all die alone. The thing that matters most is the experience we have in between -- fulfillment, happiness, enjoyment. Nothing lasts forever. People come and go. Friends, family, experiences don't last forever. The only thing that does last (to the extent of your own experience) is YOU. Loneliness is a choice. I'd say the SoL is objective, whereas QoL is subjective -- and thus malleable and capable of changing. I'm twenty and currently in med school. After going through all the phases of TRP, I still have a pretty bitter view of the world (not only on women, but the entire world). Thanks for your input. What makes a woman worthwhile to do shit with you? Surely studying alone is MORE efficient than having to study with a female and multitasking (i.e. gaming her while at the same time getting work done).

No joke, I don't think a woman would ever be interesting enough to be worthwhile at this stage of my life (I'm twenty, and I doubt any woman would bring enough value to me to be deemed "interesting" enough for LTR material). Perhaps in the future this will change, esp. if I find a woman that is able to add value into my life and forward my goasl. socializing be put on the todo list as a productive activity? It is. Fair enough. I actively avoid being a blabbermouth (exposing too many of my secrets/goals/pursuits, which is what I did when I Was a child), because of that I pretty much have the persona of being mysteriuos and secretive at all times to my friends (which is true).

I like that analogy, thanks for your input. Knowing when to use which tools (and sometimes a combination of tools), truly is an art in and of itself. I doubt even the author Robert Greene could master the art of Machiavellianism at all times. Definitely very insightful. The "law" part of the title definitely seems misleading. They're not set in stone, but like you said, are tools.

I don't know why, but your answer despite its simplicity quite blew my mind. Yes, I suppose I took a few of those Laws a bit too literally (I'm hyperanalytical by nature). Thanks for the tip. On the other hand, what do you think of the notion of being "secretive". Currently I have a reputation of being "mysterious and secretive". Now, that's not the worst reputation to have, but Greene has mentioned that being that secretive guy that keeps to himself would render a rather negative reputation (i.…

How can you not have a purpose. In that case, let me ask you this -- why haven't you killed yourself yet? There has to be a reason right? There has to be something you're looking forward to, something you enjoy doing, so that even though on some days it may seem dark and moody, you live for those things. You don't get the tingles from helping people, sure. You don't get them from self-improvement, that's okay too. I'm presuming that by saying that, that you have experienced those tingles somewhe…

But if one becomes two, two becomes a week, then I'm pretty much self-sabotaging myself. Same applies for diets, wake up regimens, meditation. EVERYTHING. Once you fall off, it's hard to get back up. Hmm. I'd say right now I'm definitely 50% sigma, 45% alpha, 5% beta. Very goal-oriented and focused. Because of these strong goals I have boundaries and high expectations for people I interact with, and frankly I don't give much of a shit about anyone unless they are "relevant" in the scheme of my goals. Not sure what position this puts me in but I'm quite happy in terms of my life -- as it optimizes productivity, at the cost of not having a very large social circle/popularity.

While I agree, the "reversal" of this is not to get stuck in planning and analysis paralysis. What's the point of any LTR then, if you adopt that mindset. The whole point of a relationship is exclusitivity, which is rather pointless (as you suggest). Have you ever felt a bit of disconnect post-TRP speaking to the layman? They think so differently when relationships/women/love come into conversation, and at the same time you can't share your perspective because it's the cold dark truth noone wants to hear

Did not notice the nature VS animal elements. You're saying that the way we behave (or learn to from TRP) is all nature forces -- which ties back to "such is our nature".

I would still go for it and see how things go. Just for the experience. Don't put sex as an outcome in mind, just enjoy the practice. Even if you don't fuck her, would you still enjoy a chill date with her? If so, yes go for it.

Not sure if anyone else out there relates, but I think the part I should work on is offering value by making people feel better. Inner game, stoicism, strict boundaries, assertiveness an dominance are great. But very often in pursuit of my mission/goals/productivity I leave people behind and they build a lot of resentment towards me, thinking I'm selfish, don't spend enough time with them, that I can't loosen up and have fun because I'm always intense and take my work seriously. Well, there are things that people respond to universally. A smile, for instance. Approval, validation, assurance -- that's how marketing capitalizes on the human psyche. I think it's quite predictable in the general sense.

Like I said, it's clear that I haven't really looked into this. But I imagine a small gathering like a "wedding in the beach with only close friends and family" just to signify that we are married in the eyes of our family, but not married in the eyes of the law -- that should work right? It's not like I'd be lying to my parents, I'll tell them that we won't be registered as a married couple, but we'll still make a low-budget celebratory tradition gathering with the ring exchanges and all that d…

Not sure if this is possible, frankly I haven't looked into this: Marriage to me is more of a cultural expression and tradition from the way I was raised (Asian parenting). Surely there are social pressures, from parents and uncles/aunts, to get married before a certain age (men in their 30s, women in their mid to late 20s), but the pressure is more so on women than men. Perhaps my standards are just too high, but I struggle to find them. Define "high quality man". For me it's someone that's self aware and aims to be self actualised. TLDR they know what they want and get what they want. Most of my close friends aren't even into selfimprovement per se, but I enjoy their company and we do cool shit together, sometimes talk about deep stuff, so in that sense it's awesome. One thing they have in common is that they are all driven, so although they haven't "made it" …

It's already happened haha. Thing is I usually just shrug it off and say something casual "hey there", "cute top", blablabla if I bump into them in the street. Then I walk away so they don't waste too much of my time. Especially if I'm omw to somewhere (class/gym), which is 90% of the time girls get to see me. The other 10% is in social gatherings where I go out specifically to meet people, so there you'll find me in my social mood.

After enough time in monk mode, you really become bitter. It's easy to become disgusted with... well... just about everyone, when you realize that hard measurable improvement is very possible. In that case, I've been living monk mode since my self-improvement journey began haha. I think we all go through that process. Yeah completely agreed. I just feel like a waste of time investing in people instead of myself. Most of the time the payoff isn't that great, people are unreliable and untrustworthy. I'm a "If you wanna get something done you're best to do it yourself" kinda guy because by the time you teach someone the skills necessary, convince/incentivize them, you could've already done it yourself in half the time.

Ahh, in that case we see eye to eye. Dont worry, at this stage of my life, I don't think any girl would be able to be more than just a "side thing" -- my goals/mission will always come first. I don't plan on even thinking about committing to a LTR until I'm in my late 20s

Logging what I do really works for me. It's kinda like tracking your calories, or meditation. For the first few sessions you track it -- just being aware of it, not doing anything to change or control it, just getting a picture of how you allocate your time everyday. Then you can make modifications from then on out.

Thanks. I agree that the next part I should look at is social game. I've decided to allocate let's say two nights a week to attend a social event (I get enough invites/connections in my campus, so the problem would be choosing the one with the most high-yield such as meeting the most new people). That way it will still be a part of my life that I will work on -- using my charm and generally being a fun sociable player -- while at the same time not cutting into my sleep or work regimen.

Everything else you say is spot on. But you say that assuming that most women view sex as an exchange, and that they use it to get commitment from a girl. That's not necessarily true. Most women, depending on which stage of their life they're in, would seek sex simply because they enjoy it. It's not something they "give up" in "exchange" for commitment. Consider the Cock Carousel riders for example. It's a tragedy that most men think otherwise, but women enjoy sex just as much as we do. And that…

I completely relate to this, and I've seen both sides of the spectrum. From anecdotal evidence alone, I believe that a high SMV male (top 10%, or a HG9+) is pretty much treated the same way as a average to high SMV girl (top 40%, or a HB6+). Essentially, both get a wide range of options/orbiters that provide to them what they want (sex or commitment). The HB9+ guy gets with potentially 80% of the women (for sex, or commitment if he's worthy enough). The HB6+ girl gets with potentially 80% of the…

And who is stopping a future doctor or a lawyer from being a total alpha pump-and-dump cad NOW? Certainly not his future job That's what I'm condoning in this post. Make sure that if you're in an occupation that is labelled as "provider", that you step up your Alpha and not be taken advantage of. Agreed with everything else you said.
/r/TheRedPill03/10/15 10:58 AM
1

Interesting you point this out. Why do you think this is the "endgame" and essentially what every man should strive to become? I can't see how being a provider could ever be a turn on. What I imagine in my head when I see that term is a guy showering precious value on a girl selflessly without expecting much in return.

I see where you're coming from. An alpha knows what he wants and gets what he wants -- so I agree with your point. But at the same time, there are careers that essentially scream "beta provider". Careers like doctors and lawyers. What I'm saying in this post is that girls will be attracted to you, but for the wrong reasons. They will wanna latch onto you as a BB, and essentially make it harder for you to have sex with her. We all know the stories about the girl that fucks the football player or …

I think more accurately, women want POWER. They are drawn like moths to a flame, they are submissive in nature and will submit to an alpha man that draws their feminine energy out of them. Money is a form of POWER. But we've seen time and time again that people without money could seduce girls of a high caliber. They simply have power in another form -- via charm, social acuity, intelligence, physique... Further, I feel uncomfortable with the idea of "hustling during your 20s instead of travelin…

So OI for all people. Don't expect much from others (and external stimuli), but expect highly of yourself. Thats an interesting way to look at it. Makes sense. its just like eating a bit of food thats gone past its sell by date cos you were hungry. That's a good analogy. But the way I see it is that a truly abundant man wouldn't settle for a 4/10. What would you define as charisma then? I do most things with confidence (enter action with boldness or not at all), but what I lack charisma (with other people). Confidence mostly depends on yourself (your beliefs, your actions, how you project yourself). Charisma depends on how you interact with other people, how they treat you, how you're treated... So in a way, you only depend on yourself for the former, but you calibrate towards your social situation/group/scene with the latter.

Spot on. For me, I don't really have the first step "I'm a shy loser forcing myself to do this and that". The most investment I am willing to give a girl is probably my time, commitment, and exclusivity. In other words, the worst conceivable thing a girl could do to me is waste my time, or cheat on me. The former, I would see it coming and cut the cord when things are no longer fun, t…

Ahh.. Well most families are dysfunctional in America considering how high divorce rates are... so good luck finding a quality woman these days haha But to be fair, the same applies to men. I treat my girlfriends in a similar fashion to the way I treat my parents/family. Neglect/aloof, always onto my own business, etc.

I found this out with my first girlfriend at 16. I just wanted to finally experience what sex is like in porn so I went in completely aggressive and no hold back. She liked it so that has been my MO since.

That seems like an overly idealistic view, and frankly, it's the worldview I'd rather have. I acknowledge a lot of TRP truths that OP has mentioned, and I'm not naive to the possibility of being fucked over by a woman. What I can do tho is not fear it happen, but rather let it happen and accept the inevitability. and in by being vulnerable, form great relationships with women. That and I'm not getting married so what's the worst thing they can do to me? I'll enjoy women and share great experienc…

Hmm I disagree. I've had my fair share of girls with daddy issues and although they disrespect their dad, they kinda crave male attention and tend to be more clingy, approval-seeking, and submissive than your average girl when it comes to dating.

What do you mean drown me? How would someone ELSEs emotions drown me, I don't follow. To me emotions are just a physiological state. It comes and goes. It's not gonna last forever. I see no reason to get caught up over something if it does not solve the problem. If being sad solved the problem, I would do that -- but we all know there's no point crying over spilt ice cream.

To me, depression is essentially boredom. When I get bored of something, it loses meaning, life loses meaning/purpose, I get depressed. So I have to continuously work on something or do some out of the norm things to keep myself sane and interested in the world. Did some research and it follows with most psychopathic behaviour.

I did some research. Self awareness is not exclusive from sociopath/psychopaths. Your argument is invalid. Further, I'm not depressed from not fitting in. I enjoy having my own agenda. I'm not sure what gave you the impression that I wanted to become a cookie cutter human

Essentially yes Can't tell if you're being sarcastic but what you said is actually true, I don't see how it can be otherwise. The only thing is disagree with is the part about "true feelings". I don't think they exist. I believe there are feelings, that everyone experiences DIFFERENTLY. none of any truer than another.

I spent the past hour doing some "psychopathy tests" on Google and all of them have said that I am more psychopathic than the average person, where a few have put me around 1-2 standard deviations above the average dude. Honestly, I'm not really sure my definition of "empathy" is the same. But from my understanding, yes I do find it difficult to connect with others on an emotional level mostly because their emotions seem to be so shallow and superficial, and not rooted into anything concrete. It…

I am the strong and silent type. But when I deliver a solid joke, nobody hears it because they're all talking over each other...
/r/seduction24/09/15 01:52 AM

Maybe. But the thing is I don't want to be the guy dancing alone on the dance floor or the person eating alone in the cafeteria. In a group, everyone converses each other, yes, but I at least want to be heard instead of having to say the same joke three times before I get heard, for example.

Thing is, whenever I say something I either get ignored, or get judged. Sometimes I'd say ridiculous shit cuz I find it self-amusing, and the girl would look at me like "what a creep" look. :(
/r/TheRedPill23/09/15 09:13 AM

Yeah. I want to project the vibe of giving value, having fun, making them feel good by being around me. I want to be the "King" of the conversation, I reward conversation topics that are awesome (high fives, encourage them on, show more interest), and kinda dismiss the ones that aren't (ignore, or switch topics). I want to be directing the conversation rather than following through.

I think the reason I fail to feel this way is because beforehand, I'd feel "used" whenever I helped someone and they didn't even say thank you. A pretty girl would ask to read my essay and then plagiarize my shit even though I put the hours in. A friend would ask for a favor and when I demand he say "thank you", he'll blame me for not doing the favor well enough even though I tried. At that point I realized what's the point of going out of my way helping other people? I think my focus should be …

There's a few things that draw me away. be humble and recognize that you're just another little shit like everyone else I'm not "normal" though. I work hard. I created my own startup at a young age. Yeah, I do think I know someone based on my first interaction with them. It's very easy to judge a person based on your first encounter and make some assumptions/generalizations, and with every person that I've encountered most have been pretty predictable. It's when they do something "unexpected" that really interests me. I'm speaking about this from a completely rational point of view. After a while, knowing how to read people, body language and verbally, you could make generalizations. I don'…

Yeah. I've noticed as well. An Asian guy that embodies masculine traits (lifts, successful, outgoing) pretty much monopolizes most of the Asian pussies. I have a friend that's living the life there in USC.

Exactly. The bad rep doesn't really affect a person as much as you may think. It's all about maintaining frame.

I see where you're coming from, but every country has its negative stereotypes. This is something that's natural, applies to every country and is not exclusive to the Chinese, and most importantly, it's something outside of my control. Instead of focusing on the things I can't change, I'd rather focus on the things I can (i.e. self-improvement).
/r/seduction21/09/15 08:41 AM

I can't speak for all of us, but from my experience, we (Chinese/Asian PUAs) have it quite easy when it comes to countries in which we're a minority in. I guess it's a bit of a novelty for a girl to see an Asian guy that embodies masculine traits, given that they are rarely portrayed as so in western media. I also got a lot of "you look like Mulan's boyfriend" from western girls -- and he's one of the most iconic masculine Asian guys I know in western media.

Ain't dreams, already hooked up with a half-swedish girl and she gave the best head. If I ever went to Europe it'd be like entering a shopping mall filled with cute latinas and white girls! :)

Makes sense. I'm in college so having a fun dinner at a place we mutually enjoy for like 1-2 hours sounds like a fair shake to me, especially since I know bits about her from my social circle and from her confidence in calling me, etc. I'm guessing it's rare to pull on the first date? Initially that was my goal but I realize I should just focus on having fun (self-amusement).
/r/askTRP14/09/15 03:00 PM

You raise a good point. Yeah I plan to just have fun, be explicitly sexual with her (to avoid boyfriend-zone), and calibrate from there onwards. This "first date" really is just to confirm where we stand and what dynamic we have (if there's even attraction to begin with).

I plan to make her tell me what happened on the phone (the possibility that it was a prank is still out there) when I sit down with her for some food. And I could gauge her reactions and put her on the spot. haha.

The context in which this was asked is more casual. Essentially she said she couldn't keep her eyes off me, to which I was a bit startled and hesitated a bit. Sensing this made her ask "oh... are you seeing someone right now?". I ignored/delayed her question then and took her blatantly direct IOI to ask her out on a super casual date. This question will probably resurface again, and I'm thinking a casual response (A&A, humorous) may work more in my favor than a semi-serious response (i.e. "The T…

Recently turned twenty and I'm on the same boat. There's a certain disconnect from me VS other people and society now. I just don't relate to them. And for a while I've struggled with this not being able to form a deep relationship with anyone. Recently I decided you know what, the world is the way it is. I'll just do whatever is fun and best for me. It's selfish, but ironically also selfless -- because now people see you as a fun optimistic guy and want to join you. They want to be welcomed int…

Yeah. My mind always ruins good things for me by overcomplicating things and thinking ahead. It's how I broke up with my ex in a moment of frustration lmao. Lesson learned and will try to frame any encounter as optimistic as I can before making a rational judgement.

I enjoyed your analogy. In your own words, but for me, I would pirate reggae music if nobody finds out -- i.e. it would be my guilty pleasure to fuck these girls as long as word doesn't spread out to my social circles. I don't want to be labelled as the manslut or playa (esp. since the girls that are easy are HB6s lol). I'm also very selective when it comes to girls. But then I realized I'm twenty... I shouldn't be using this as an excuse NOT to approach women. So yeah... One hand I want the qua…

What do you mean they "love" being treated like that. You suggesting that she'd love to have a fuckbuddy on the side as long as we're both discreet? If she suggests/pushes commitment, how do I give her "the talk" (i.e. I'm not looking for a relationship) WITHOUT destroying my social circle and ruining my rep (this is my biggest concern).
/r/askTRP09/09/15 03:32 PM

I just wanted another opinion on how to handle this situation differently. My main concern is I don't want to ruin my social circle (she is close friends with a lot of my friends).

LJBF? Right now I'm on "Yes I would fuck her, only on the side if people don't know (e.g. colleague, someone from the same social circle)" with this girl. Because she is popular among the guys in my social circle, one has even expressed interest in her which she declined. If I fuck her (which I want to because currently I'm plateless), my social circle finding out that I fucked a HB6 would be my only hesitation (because I'm used to doing better -- like HB7s and above).
/r/askTRP09/09/15 12:52 PM

I love this, and it really is a simple model to follow -- one that I used to use... except now it's become this: A) Yes I would fuck her no matter what. B) Yes I would fuck her, but I want her as an LTR or main plate. C) Yes I would fuck her, only on the side if people don't know (e.g. colleague, someone from the same social circle) D) No I won't fuck her. I realize half-assing and hesitance are horrible (hence my post). It's like that hesitance when you approach a imminent red light. Do you sto…

This was my first thought. Then I realized I should stop being such a negative cunt (like I am usually) and shut people out. Especially since SHE asked ME out, I intend to give her a chance to make something magical happen.

Apparently what I thought was creepy... worked? The girl called me today and essentially professed she found me interesting and asked me out. Anyway, I think it's mostly that I feel creepy.
