The Path Of Becoming A Man Is A Boring One

Just an observation: All of Taylor Swift's songs pretty much reflect the ultimate Female fantasy and a lot of TRP truths.

I've been in Monk Mode for too long. I forgot how to enjoy life.

Being "boring" as a side effect of hard work to become the man i want to be

Girls open me, but my stoic/DGAF/unstifled demeanor makes them think I'm not interested. It became an instinct recently and I feel almost detached from society, in pursuit of my goals.

Reading "48 Laws", overwhelmed, and struggling to piece it together as some of the Laws seem to contradict one another.

After swallowing the pill, people (even incl. friends/family) no longer seem to be worth the time.

Explain to me how this is a dark triad example.

You seem to not have a good understanding of Ramsay.

He may not be archetypical DT, but he's got at least 2 of the 3 boxes ticked off.

The man is one to idolize.

[–]Apexk9 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

He is no where close to a DT.

[–]fluviant 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So prove me wrong.

[–]Apexk9 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

What boxes does he tick?

he swears on TV? Lol oh noo we have a bad ass.

DT wouldn't be able to be as nice as he is it would make their heads explode.

He shows zero Narcisisim he is actually very humble for what he has achieved; he obviously has lots of empathy.

You sound like a guy who hasn't read the sidebar yet. Get reading, Bambi.

Unsure why you're downvoted.

To /u/machimus, here's my brief breakdown:

  • Narcissism: He feels entitled to his achievements (and with good reason, since he's worked hard). He takes care of his body through exercise, his career, and he knows he is one of the best chefs in the world. Why? Again, because he worked hard for it. That said, I admire his ability to be humble in the face of other leading chefs (he is extremely passionate and admits his mistakes when learning other cuisines, such as that one video of him making sushi).

  • Machiavellianism: he sees opportunities and exploits them. he has superficial charm (i.e. his television personality). He also has a fundamental understanding of human psychology and social interactions (there are videos of him teaching one of his "apprentices" how to take an order, essentially teaching him "charm"). He is masterful at handling shit tests, having incredible self-control and situational awareness. Some may be natural but most is inevitably learnt from his vast experiences dealing with people.

  • Psychopathy: The article explains how at the age of 19, he was working for a French chef, and had sex with his boss's wife. Later on he got fired because of this. His television personality is a reflection of his inner psychopathy, as he feels no remorse. The only emotion he really feels is respect (for other chefs that have a greater reputation to him, or that have genuinely surprised his high standards).

You're correct. Looks like this subreddit has become awash with guys new to the game who pack on like the rest of reddit.

I agree, I don't see much indicating DT. However, he seems pretty red pill and has a sense of humor. This stood out to me as pretty solid advice:

GORDON RAMSAY: Ah, my advice to any young chef anywhere in the world, Get out of your comfort zone and put yourself in a scenario where you have to build a character, learn a second language and find out a lot about yourself on your own without mum, without dad, without your girlfriend, without your boyfriend and without any money. Put yourself in a situation and build a character. You'll be surprised three years down the line what that does for your self esteem. Phenomenal! Oh, more importantly, mind your language!
