Did you move recently? This can be water quality. Doesn't sound like aging. You don't lose collagen until 30+

Kids need to feel boredom, its such an unnatural state of being to feel constantly entertained and never learn to make your own fun, youre setting them up for mental health issues in the future. you need to set a boundary where theres no devices. allow them to ask for things they need in order to fill those hours (instruments, toys, boardgames, cards, etc.etc. there are a million different hobbys and collective ways to spend evenings. you need to let them get bored and fill those hours with thei…

When did I ever utter or allude to the word divorce in my initial comment? Not once did I say that. I encouraged honesty! With herself AND with her husband. This woman wrote a 5 page essay about all of the myriad of issues she thinks she has about cooking meals or whatever else she mentioned in her comment that was completely irrelevant to the source of the issue. Great, if option 4 is the case then they'll be on the same page and they can go from there and look for compromise, at least they wil…

I hope you guys are able to compromise and that you'll be able to create a life you love. Everyone deserves that.

I understand and respect that decision, but I really encourage you to be honest with your husband. Your post is all over the place and I see a lot of turmoil that won't be resolved by bottling this up. At least if it's out in the open you might find a compromise rather than you completely sacrificing the life you want.

I never said leave him. I said be honest about her feelings and communicate with the man. Because option 1 is to accept a life she doesn't want and resent her husband for the rest of her life. Option 2 is that he will understand and agree to the lifestyle. Option 3 is that he doesn't want this, and they divorce, and she has to find someone else. Better now than after the kids because I don't see OP ever being happy in this arrangement from the way she speaks about it. If she bottles it up she's …

I have one of those and I've accepted that he's not that romantic, in that way. Important distinction because he shows love and affection in his own unique way. You have to learn in life that people do not change core personality traits, those are cemented in childhood. Think carefully about continuing the relationship if this becomes unbearable for you in the future then you only have yourself to blame for wasting both of your time.

Sobriety is the only option and if he doesn't suggest it hinself and tries to speak about cutting back on drinks or drinking less but keeping it in his life then you've got a problem on your hands and you'll be in for a world of drama and pain. Source: I'm an alcoholic. Sober 5 years.

Awh yeah it's so hard to get your point across in text messages I hate them too! I always overthink every possible interpretation. Keeping things short helps a lot, and using direct language, and if you worry short and direct sounds harsh, just add a cute emoji at the end that indicates your tone.

Yeah it was a bit confusing to read and maybe came off as passive aggressive. Better next time if you want a date to just clearly and directly ask him on one

Well then then the guy really had no reason to put up with her. Men freaking hate confrontation from women and especially in the beginning. If a man is interested he will text, if he's not texting back he's out of your league or not interested. The only way to get a man to text you more is to be more desirable as a woman.

The first mistake she made was thinking 'situationship' and 'setting boundaries' are two compatible ideas. She's giving it up for free and thinks she gets to set terms now, lol.

Agree with what's been said. Diet is everything. (That's not to say you shouldn't be in the gym, though you need to be aware that going to the gym increases your appetite so it can be hard to loose fat when you're there) I lost 15kg and then only started the gym once I was at the lowest healthy weight possible and didn't like the look of my untoned body. Something that worked so well for me was not actually counting calories, but becoming calorie aware. Basically I googled how many calories are …

I agree, $120k sounds like a lot of money at 25 but really we're heading into the worst recession in history and inflation is going crazy. Babies are crazy expensive especially if you are from the US, plus I wonder if they are home owners yet? I assume that the plan is for her to stop working once she has the baby/ once she becomes pregnant so at that point he will be taking the full financial burden. This also sounds like her reasoning is coming from a very emotional place (her friend) vs his f…

You can date people and get to know them without having sex right away but most men in this day and age will not wait to have sex very long. You need to get out there because in trying to become some perfect version of yourself you're allowing your youth to pass you by which is also highly valued by men.

I just want to say I don't have much advice but I feel for you and from your post/comment you are a highly empathetic person and care deeply for your husband. Your post doesn't concentrate on the embarrassment/loss of social status that you are experiencing from this, rather that he has lost family/relationship and makes himself look bad. Clearly he is your priority and that is really commendable because as women we can get caught up seeing situations through our own Lens. Clearly you are a good…

Have you interviewed your exes? Asked them what its like to be with you? If not you likely don’t actually have a clue what you did wrong during the relationship. No one is perfect .

Thank you! I will read it. I found some benefit from David burns books on behavioral therapy but as you can see I still need some work 🙄😃

To start, I would describe myself as hyper empathetic. I've always had an issue with confrontation because even when I'm arguing with someone I can see things from their point of view (even when I disagree), so much that I find it very difficult to argue without finding myself in the middle, if that makes sense. So I grew up really liberal and eventually found myself in red pill forums because I saw how that way of life actually hurt women and all of my female friends and family are very liberal…

This comment was an eye opener, I just recently got the news that he split with his new wife 💀💀💀, he's still got the kid on weekends like he has with me until I was 11. But I guess sooner or later he will disappear like he does. and yeah he won't answer the hard questions or care about the bad things but he's so open to have a good relationship as long as I forget everything he has done which, you're right, is a bit shit tbh. My bf always says I should just forget about it and the best thing I c…

My boyfriend is really in denial about how men can mess kids up. I am mourning not having a dad but... im stuck on what could have been/what could be if he got his act together suddenly. Yeah recently I had a 3 day visit with a my bfs 2 year old brother and I realise that being a mom is what I want to be/ what I'm yearning for. Im terrified of repeating the cycle but, I know I would be a good mom, despite my upbringing. I want an opportunity to raise a child well, and unlike how I was raised. My…

Thank you. Yeah I guess I do mean i feel responsible for him leaving. If I wasn't such a shitty teenager, if I wasn't such a terrible woman, if I wasn't such an alcoholic, he would have stuck around. I guess he wouldn't have. I guess he wouldve left no matter what.

I feel like he is the reason I'm broken. I spoke to him when I was 18, now I'm 21. He has a new kid and I 'always' have his contact number, because he 'always' wants to stay in contact with me. Its worse somehow because there's always the ghost of him being a good parent if that makes sense. Like, him staying in contact is him 'making up for being absent the past 12 years'. I regretfully sent him a message asking for closure but no reply. He's embarrassed of me, n I'm embarrassed of me, guess we…

Yeah, my sister is two years older than me, and and I'm not sure what the correct terminology is but, she's very autistic. She's a good human and she's always called it how it is, meaning she's been harsh in the past. And comparing her to my dad, she wouldn't act the way he has, so I can't blame his actions on his autism or whatever other mental health issues he may have. Hard to admit but yeah, think he's just an asshole. Better to just forget about it

Thanks for the feedback. My sister is autistic and she's said some harsh stuff to me but she was never cold, and I'd describe what he said as cold so I guess I can't justify it.

Yeah. He left when I was 11 and when I got in contact with him a few years ago he said "you can forgive me if you want, or not, its up to you." I'm not autistic so idk if he just can't communicate, or he's just an asshole. My mind wants to justify it so I don't have to accept he doesnt care, lol

Thank you for your reply <3 yes I completed the first half of david burns cbt workbook and struggled to complete it. I should definitely give it another try because I remember it helped me a bit. Blaming my behavior on my trauma is something I tend to default to and its destroyed many a relationship in the past. Back when I was completing david burns workbook, I got a bit lost and wanted to pursue the root of the issue, but ironically I'm back at a dead end

Lol I know what you're saying. I think the idea of mental health issues in general is a red flag, after reading in trp forums. They always say depressed/anxious girls are red flags (which can stem from daddy issues) and to instantly ghost them, I think that's why I'm insecure about it. I have no clue whether my dad is past help. I think the fact he replied to my email is a sign I should pursue communication? Idk. I think he's autistic and struggles with communication so I pity him. My sister is …

Thank you. I changed my name too, my boyfriends family knows me as Laura which is different to the name I was given. I feel disconnected to my given name so its nice to have control of that small aspect of my life. I also dropped his last name and kept my mothers last name. Maybe ill be able to forget about his influence on my life as I grow older. I just turned 21 and I didn't hear from him, not a surprise, I haven't had a birthday wish since I was 11 but it stings the same each year, somehow. …

From family members, I've heard my dad is an undiagnosed autistic person. Like, he may be very autistic and no aware of it or willing to admit it. My boyfriend (who is a red pill male) believes i should bring my point across to him, but I'm really scared to be honest

Thank you for your answer. No matter how many questions and answers I come up with, nothing really helps, you're right. Its the lack of closure, the lack of answers that gets me. I wish he hadn't done things then way he did. So many of my friends had it different and it sucks .idk, lol its really stupid honestly.

I agree, but unfortunately I don't really have access to therapy right now. I immigrated to a very conservative country with very little m/h services. I have recently gotten comprehensive health insurance so I will ask what my options are but unfortunately I'm almost positive they're very limited and not avaliable in my native language.
