Awesome Point 5 I am professional chef with over 20 years experience. The career choice is some of the reason why I am divorced

Thank you though Electrician was my other choice two of my buddies who are former chef as well have gone down his route. I want to stay close to the cooking world and I figure this way I don’t waste 25 years of hard work. I always wanted to work for myself and I think this way I would be able to. If I find it’s too much I will go back to being a chef. The shops I talked to were all 8-4 Monday -Friday. I am school to up grade my science then I will take the pre employment program which will allow…

I want to use my contacts as a chef to fix cooler and make up air. I am already divorce of the shitty chef hours I worked

Ok thank you. I want to take my connection from being a chef and fix hoods and refrigerator for food service

Just need someone to give me a chance. If not I am going to take the pre employment course.

I was hopping to use all my contacts through out my years in a kitchen to start a business after I was done my four years. I want to fix fridge of and make up air in restaurants.

What trade are you in? Sorry about the tone in the previous email. I have three friends over 40 who switched to electrician from chef. They are doing well. I need a chance to prove myself. That is all. I am sick of the lack of staff and hours. I am going to enroll in pre employment if I can’t find a apprenticeship.

This is what my friend switched over to after 20 years in a kitchen he loves it

Thanks for the insight. The few shops I have talked to have mentioned they are Monday-Friday. All I want is a stable schedule which is very hard to find as chef. The labour shortage of actual skilled chef is the struggle I hate taking work back home. I get over 45 emails a day and never feel rested

This is all thought out. I been in a trade for 25 years. Cooking is a trade I have my red seal. Lots of my buddies have left cooking during the pandemic due to uncertainty and the bullshit that comes along from Being a chef. Regardless thanks for the reply

Don’t fail your son. Screw this lady it will be you and your kid and whatever else you want to do. Lawyer up and get the best custody time you can. Give your self a dead line on feeling like a failure. I have bad days as I lost everything but most days I get up and feel great.

Get a lawyer and stop dwelling on the past. Look how it’s affecting you physically. I thought I could fix my marriage and ended up losing it all.

I paid $30000 in lawyer fees $6000 in super visits. Then lost $150000 to settle and my home that I bought with my inheritance. After all this I pay $609/month for child support. I am switching trades to see my son more and during my first few years of apprenticeship I will be left with zero money after I pay for everything.I started living on the mock income right now. I have been back to court yo adjust my child support by they told me that I was being lazy and trying to pay less support. I was…

Man this is so true. All I care about is my son and me now. I lost $1500000 along with my home an my dignity during my divorce. I was accused of abuse and almost lost custody of my son. Now i pay 25% of salary for child support and get to see my son twice a week. If i ever get horny now I just visit professionals. Way less stress and no strings attached.

It’s better to be alone. Do want you want for the last part of life. I mean from the time you are baby to becoming an adult you are on someone else schedule. Enjoy your self. I am divorced and have been in some sort of relationship for 16 years. I plan to leave my partner and be alone the rest of my life.

Keep your alcohol and drug intact to a minimal this sill help you vastly. Every time I want to drink or party I put that money toward my son rdsp

I will never get married again unless there is 100% separation of assets and finance. I was falsely accused of domestic violence and lost it all. House money and most importantly time with my son. I was with my ex for 12 years. I am currently in a relationship but would like to leave and be alone. I have sever trust issues. My son is physically and mentally disabled making it tougher to parent

Do you have a lawyer? Get a lawyer if you do not have one I got screwed hard with false accusations lost it all $1500000 settlement, only get to see kid 2 times a week. It took me 7 months to clear my name. There was zero evidence no doctors records, hospital etc. The only thing i admitted to was verbal abuse as we were in very toxic marriage Record everything on your phone Do not leave the house.

I hear you loud and clear. I got accused of domestic violence with no proof it took 7 months and $30000 to prove anything. I lost my home ,$150000, my self worth and only get to see my son twice a week. I was on supervised visit which cost me $100/hour to see my son I paid $3000 to see my kid. No proof , no marks , no anything, no police report she just had to cry abuse. It took me a long time not to be angry some days I still am. I don’t know if I will ever recover financially/mentally from this…

Don’t give up I screwed up I settled for every Sunday Monday. My ex had warn me down with false accusations of abuse. I miss my kid all the time and drives me insane that I have him 25% of the time and I am financially responsible for him 100%. I paid my ex out $150000 literally lost it all at 37 years old. I am going back to court as soon as have enough for retainer and COVID goes away. It took me over 2 years to get use to not seeing him everyday. I was heavily depressed but got myself to a be…

Absolutely zero proof it took 7 months to see my son normally and for the accusations to be thrown out. Hey man, Just do whatever you need to do to rectify the reason for supervised visit. They are not meant to be forever as it is not the best interest for the child. Stay clean during this time. Try not to drink, smoke weed or do any drugs. I will never say I know how you feel but I went through supervised visit for 7 month it cost me $3000. Unfortunately in family law it’s all about what judge you get . All my reports were positive but I they really did not mean anything. After I was proven innoce…

Some times all it takes in family law is an Sworn statement of any sort of neglect, violence or threat of violence towards your kids or your self . I went through a living hell when my ex decided to get a emergency protection order . These are done ex partie , to protect the victim but when you have done nothing wrong it really Pre determines custody. I was placed on supervised visit for 7 months it cost me $3000 just to see my son $115 / hr . I was found innocent of any alleged abuse to my son …

I am in a similar situation literally lost everything , house ,car. $100000 settlement, $30000 lawyers fees ,$3000 supervised visit and most importantly 7 months I could not see my son . She falsely accused me of abuse took off to the women shelter . I am a strong supporter of curving domestic violence but the women shelter did everything they could to let me see my son . Just let your self be in the feeling. I don’t know about your divorce but I lost everything, emotionally, financially, trust in the system . Not a comparison. Try not to drink too much , vent in this site. No one knows what it’s liked to be completely destroyed. And you only control your feelings. So if you are angry or sad or whatever just be it don’t let in consume you!!

Hey man , I went through supervised visit for 6 months. I was fasely accused of violence towards my son and Ex, and shE put an epo out for me. The visit cost$3600 it was $113 to see my son per hour. I lost in total , our home, car and $120000 . Keep reminding yourself you are alive and things can get worst . Don’t waste your time on counseling no one knows how you feel and you only control your feelings. Just be happy you get to see them . The courts as you know take for ever but it will get cor…

But I was cleared . I just can’t stand behind a country that allows discrimination like this to happen . Her grounds of abuse towards my so had zero merit. It would be like me saying you hit me then the judge saying on well he is guilty till proven innocent.

I don’t see him as a burden . I just want some justice. How am I suppose to pay rent and have a place that large enough for him and I when I am in a lot of debt. I fought tooth and nail to have my weekends with him in court. I could have easily backed down but it’s too much some days .
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/20 07:31 PM

Thank you . I needed to know someone is there . There is absolutely zero support for men . Like I said what kills me the most is I was falsely accused of abuse and then cleared and nothing has happened to my ex about these accusations.
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/20 07:27 PM

That’s what’s hard about it. One side of me says I need to do something for myself the other says be a dad. I am almost 40 and this craft of cooking is not a young mans game. What pisses me off the most is the false accusations of abuse and after I was cleared not even an apology. I am aware it will ruin my credit but I never wanted to be in Canada my pArents immigrants here . I always identified way more with my Japanese roots and then being Canadian .
