Starve the government of its tax revenue I agree. and bleed them dry by taking advantage of their welfare systems Respectfully, I disagree: state welfare funding comes either through overt theft (taxation), state debt, or fiat currency inflation. All of these seem unethical to me.

[puts on kevin from the Wonder Years voice] it was in that moment that I realised women should not given agency to choose their partners. Kinda funny... but, every person should have freedom to choose. The rest of us have no obligation to rescue them from the consequences of their choices, though.

If I recall correctly, Tomcat and other Java web containers allow you to configure authentication "realms" without requiring a separate database. This may be true of HTTP servers such as Nginx or httpd, too.

Started testosterone therapy in late 2020. It helps a hell of a lot with my general feeling of wellbeing. I feel less anxious, depressed, and irritable, and more motivated and energized to overcome inertia and do my thing. Have not had the "roid rage"/aggression that was one of my primary physician's reasons for discommending it. I inject testosterone cypionate myself twice-weekly at home.

How do I face the fear of making such a big decision? By accepting the experience of fear and acting/being, in whatever small ways you can, in accordance with your chosen goals and values. It's easier written than done. Consider reading A Liberated Mind: How to Pivot Toward What Matters.

she says it doesn't mean anything. she insists that it's something she will not stop doing regardless of how I feel about it. Uh huh. How does he believe anything she says, then? If he were to behave similarly then she would call it "cruel" or "abusive", I'm sure.

So you’re a freeloader. I pay my way or I don't go. If you want to live in a society with a government, roads, regular city maintenance, police, lower crime, education, lower poverty rates (cleaner safer streets) etc, you pay your fair share. I want to live in a society; since government ("the state", in Max Weber's sense) is antisocial, I want no government, so that we may be a more civil society. I want to pay the free-market rate (what I think of as "my fair share" of costs), which is exactly…
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen22/02/21 08:23 PM

If you do, you’re admitting to tax evasion? "tax evasion"? More-accurately, "theft reduction". Even then, you’re legally bound, meaning that you are obligated to pay taxes. "legally bound" means that a group of people have decided that I owe them something. I don't agree and I reject their assertion that I'm obligated to surrender part of my life and/or property. They can come with weapons and force to try to take what they want, thereby enacting their raw aggression and coercion.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen22/02/21 06:22 PM

It is your obligation. I disagree and reject that claim, and I don't need to explain or justify it, other than: my life, my body, my resources, my choices. No one owns me but I.

I didn't down-vote your post. For what it's worth, I hadn't understood (from your title and its original content) that "MGTOW Exposed" was the title of a YouTube channel and that were questioning whether the main person on that channel was dead. Perhaps others felt similarly confused and maybe down-voted because they didn't like the quality of the post or their impressions of it.

To answer the title question: No. "Free speech" in the sense of the first amendment to the Constitution of the USA means only that the US Congress shan't make any law against any kind of speech. From a "natural rights" perspective, "free speech" depends on the context of the property in/on which the speech occurs, to wit: my speech in your house is only as free as you'll allow, and vice versa.

I'm not a psychologist. I'm unsure of the importance of "validation", or what that might mean. It does seem clear that children do better with (than without) affection, some structure, and adults to trust (for a while). Affirming for example a child's perseverance in the face of a challenging situation, or their demonstrating wisdom in a nuanced situation, seem like probably helpful parenting actions. Participation trophies and "you can do anything you set your mind to!"? Not so much.

I have it easy compared to many and don't want to bring others down. The mind is good at making such comparisons... and such comparisons probably don't help you to pursue connection or other values of yours, do they? Feel free to allow such thoughts to come and go as they will, while you pursue your values anyway.👍 What other people feel isn't your responsibility and cannot be, in the sense that you aren't response-able (able to respond) in an effective way to their feelings in their contexts.

Sounds like you've had a rough time. These fucking authoritarian lockdowns are causing so much collateral damage. Losing valued relationships can trigger depression. What you do about it -- with or without an outside diagnosis -- is up to you. I've dealt with depression and still do. I've found that taking action to pursue what I value helps me with the depression, and helps me to feel more alive. Medication might help you; it has helped me somewhat. I want to look fit like you can see my abs even when relaxed fit. If you can see someone's abdominal muscles "even when relaxed" then that person almost certainly has an unsustainably, unhealthily-low amount of body fat. At 6'9", you will be strong and look strong around 300 lb, built via barbell-based strength training and a caloric surplus. 200 lb is a reasonable weight even for a strong 5'9" man. You need to build muscle, and some fat.

As I see it: Wealth and value are subjective and not computable; I value my shitbox Honda more than most other people would, feel wealthier for having it. Currency enables pricing and more-sophisticated exchanges than barter; but, currency is not inherently valuable, and cannot and does not necessarily create wealth. Well, bro, maybe you need to do some self-reflection... or garner more knowledge. I'm plenty ignorant of many things; but, I'm not sure more self-reflection would help here.😅 Anyway, thanks for elaborating.

To which extent? Is 100kg squat safe? 150kg? 200kg? Is 100kg bench press safe ? and 150kg ? I think safety is not discrete/binary -- though, I can see how my earlier comment might give that impression. Do you know that natural guys on 5 reps get +15 to their blood pressure after a year of training? "+15"... what, to their baselines? I'm not sure I can believe that. I'd appreciate your citing some studies for this. Moreover, it's not clear to me that higher blood pressure is Definitely BadTM. Sti…

TL;DR: liberty, anarchy, and individual natural rights. Also, "no victim, no crime". no one should have to wear seatbelts, but if you cause aggression or harm towards somebody via not wearing a seatbelt, then there should be consequences for that person from the government? I think if you (or your community) build a road on unowned (or at least unused) land then you establish that road as your property (that is, you become its owner(s)) or you at last establish your right to use that road, and s…

Make peace with yourself and her. Life isn't perfect and us humans are very far from it. I wholeheartedly agree with this advice. Purge the negative thoughts in your heart I don't think thoughts can be purged deliberately. They might appear less frequently over time, especially if we allow them to come and go, instead of trying to control or avoid them (thereby reinforcing our attention and attachment to them).

My therapist said that is extremely picky and I wouldn’t find a wife, if I keep with these standards. So, tell me, please. Am I too picky? That depends on what "too picky" might mean. Practically, it might mean that you may encounter few women who satisfy your criteria. At some point, you may choose to relax/drop one or more of your criteria. (I'm not suggesting this and also not not suggesting this; just hypothesizing.) "Too picky" might also mean something that serves her interests in some way…

why essential workers who have worked through the pandemic did not receive anything remotely corresponding to the $600 weekly payments that those on unemployment received? I suspect this is because it would not have served the state's interest in its own growth/preservation. The "essential" workers didn't need pacification....

I don't think that falling to wear a mask necessarily violates the NAP, because it depends (as usual) on the individuals and other property involved. If someone who knows he has been exposed recently to SARS-CoV-2 spits on the face of an elderly smoker then that's aggression. If someone who doesn't know whether he has been exposed recently to SARS-CoV-2 merely shops unmasked in a grocery store that doesn't require masks then no aggression... even if he browses shelves near an elderly smoker.

It encourages changing undesired changeable situations. It encourages changing one's relationships with undesired unchangeable situations.

I've worked for a while with a therapist using ACT, and continue to read/apply A Liberated Mind: How to Pivot Toward What Matters intermittently. Together, the therapist, therapy, book, and my own uncomfortable self-work have helped me to become more present, integrated, flexible, and engaged in my own life, and to make choices and committed actions that serve my chosen goals and values despite ongoing internal and external challenges, adversity, and discomfort.

I humbly suggest reading and practicing the recommendations in A Liberated Mind: How to Pivot Toward What Matters, which might help you (as it has, me) to connect more deeply and consciously with your chosen values and to act on them. Consider reading "A Liberated Mind". The harder we fight (e.g., try to avoid or control) our internal experiences, often the stronger and sticker they become.
/r/MGTOW09/06/20 09:59 PM
7

It’s more that I want to build experiences that refute their points. Thinking of my own experiences, I can understand this motivation; regardless, how likely is it that people who insult you would stop doing so if they knew of your competence? We don't know their motivations but we can say that name-calling probably won't yield to facts. I wonder, does an average person think this way or not? "Imposter syndrome" seems common, as does vulnerability to others' opinions (we are social animals, afte…

/r/MGTOW09/06/20 02:56 PM
2

"i curse that you will never succeed" While I admit that I wouldn't enjoy hearing that from someone, especially from someone for whom I'd cared, I don't see it as anything but face-hole noises. Do you believe that curses of this sort are in any way effective? Even if you do believe they are, how might that change your fundamental options as a living human being? You still get to choose and act as you will.
/r/MGTOW09/06/20 11:35 AM
3

She left a huge message saying how she is cursing me and i will never be successful in life and this and that. Sounds like she felt hurt (which is hers to deal with, or not). No matter what she says or does, you still have the ability to choose and to act according to your goals and values.

I hope you will consider reading and experimenting with some of the practices in A Liberated Mind: How to Pivot Toward What Matters. Its approach, and ACT more generally, have helped me recognize and act on what I value (including how I want to live/be) despite my mind's continual urging to seek others' approval. This has helped me feel more alive and fulfilled, which is not guaranteed but is nice.
/r/MGTOW30/05/20 05:57 PM

It sounds like you've dealt with a lot of rejection and disappointment, and have an ongoing self-story about never being good enough for the kind of female partner that you want. What, concisely, do you want? I have no MGTOW monk wisdom AFAIK.
/r/MGTOW30/05/20 03:51 AM
2

OP, did you receive this letter??
/r/MGTOW29/05/20 03:19 PM
5

From the second page: Specifically I demand divine restitution that will age you and rejuvenate me 49 years. Therefore, if from this date you discover that you have aged significantly or are aging rapidly, know that it is not a medical condition. It is the judgement of God. That's a special level of delusion.

From what I gather from what you've shared in this thread, you feel deeply unfulfilled despite your hobbies and successes that you have a hole inside of you that a partner could fill that you cannot attract a partner unsure whether you'd want a partner, given the risk of "divorce rape", etc persistent strong belief that "the goal of a man is as a protector and provider and that he should have a family or at least a partner to be considered successful" If you can find a mental space in which you …
/r/MGTOW27/05/20 10:50 PM

...I would like to get rid of it. I am not sure how to and I'm not sure it's possible. Any advice? It might not be possible. Have you tried simply accepting/allowing it to be part of your human experience, even though it's uncomfortable, and pursuing what you really value regardless? Edited: "It might" instead of "I might".

How to know when to let go friend, girlfriend any of the people you care about but they dont. It's up to you. Your values, your choices. No one here can tell you the "right" time/way/criteria because there aren't any. Trust yourself and your gut feeling.

Have you tried being female and not unattractive? That might help.
/r/MGTOW22/05/20 09:35 PM

Aw, man... I'm good with the instruction manuals and can build things but often struggle to remember to get groceries and to pay the bills on time -- and, like you, often feel ashamed of my struggles. Probably you are good at some things that other people aren't so good at. It's human.
/r/MGTOW22/05/20 05:24 PM

I'll have a better job, a better place to live and be able to become financially stronger. Might your financial situation improve enough to enable you to pay for cross-country travel (for yourself or your daughter) so that you can spend time with her to a satisfactory extent?

I've noticed that, too. My interpretation: "I'll say 'lol' because it's hip and probably fitting and if I don't actually laugh or otherwise express feeling then I can later claim that I said 'lol' ironically if I came across as un-hip by hinting it humor at that point".

I've been trying "STFU." Yeah, that hasn't worked for me, either. But I'll try just accepting it and letting it pass. Maybe that will work. It is a thing to try. If this approach interests you at all then you might consider "A Liberated Mind". Take care.
/r/MGTOW18/05/20 10:20 PM

Why do I keep wanting to do this? Why won't it just go away? It keeps popping up in my head. I can't seem to stop it. Is there something about it that seems important to you, something that resonates with one of your values? As you've discovered, trying to stop it may have they opposite effect. What if you could just accept its presence when it arises, just observe it, and let it be, without struggling with it or trying to avoid or control it?
/r/MGTOW18/05/20 08:01 PM

But today was just different, the thought of her being with other men just broke my defenses and I relapsed my MGTOW psychology by breaking down (Yeah I just randomly started crying for the first time post break up and I couldn't control myself). It's okay, man. Could be grief. Whatever it is, perhaps accept it and allow it. The thought of dying alone is just to scary. I don't want to date anymore but I don't want to be alone too. What scares you about imagining dying alone? What do you envision…

I’ve got no problem with this woman getting her comeuppance from her BF but there’s no reason to celebrate her physical attack (assuming it really happened). I agree, there’s a great chance it didn’t. I agree. We can both celebrate justice and be humane.
/r/MGTOW18/05/20 03:25 PM

I’m just confused with what I want. Can you just accept that you feel uncertain, without trying to change it? Maybe it's okay to feel uncertain. Like a part of me wants a gf so I don’t have to be depressed and alone but I don’t want to have to deal with the stress of wondering if I’m good enough. You know what's worse than feeling "depressed and alone" without a GF? Yeah, feeling "depressed and alone" with a GF. Having a GF might intensify your uncertainty about whether you're "good enough". Are women the devil incarnate? Nah. We can do with supernatural claims. the biggest mistake men have made was giving women rights What "rights" do you mean? My belief is that women are to be ruled with an iron fist, have no rights, never speak, held essentially as slaves to men. On what basis would you defend your violating another human's right to their own body and mind?

Product shrinks, you pay the same price. "Shrinkflation", I believe I've heard it called. And then the government can say, "Prices aren't going up. Inflation is in check!" The "inflation" happens when they create money. Statists twist words well.

Under capitalism, YOU are expected to pay for the baby. It doesn't matter if it is your baby or not, the state doesn't want to pay for the baby, so they go after individual men to pay for the baby. Respectfully, I disagree, and think this is conflating capitalism (that is, using resources for tooling instead of consuming them) and statism. We live under capitalism. US is the most capitalist country. Also the most feminist. It is no coincidence. If the capitalists in power did not want feminism, …

Because this sets a precedent in the future. It's one thing to tell people to wear masks or gloves or social distance. It's quite another to shut down and take over businesses, put people out of business, and do all these unprecedented things that they've never done. Indeed. And not a good precedent, IMHO. #StatistsGonnaState I mean seriously, the government never gives a flying fuck about your health, but suddenly now they care? Please. Like with some people, you can provide a logical argument to back up your standpoint but they'll just nope all the evidence & logic without any logical rebuttal whatsoever on their part and act as if they're in the right... I just don't get it. Could it be like a mental disorder? low IQ? I think it's default normal human behavior. Biases, habits, fears, etc dominate our approach unless we continually strive to use logic and sounds reasoning, and sometimes dominate despite our best efforts.

Why do we consider natural body odor to be such an offensive thing in society now? My guess: because body odor has become tightly associated with lower class and/or socioeconomic status. Also because many people have become accustomed to the near-absence of body odor and therefore have greater sensitivity to it. we use toxic chemicals to clog up our bodies Friendly reminders: Everything is chemicals The dose makes the poison

You must be one of those people who pray for people instead of sending money. During my misspent time as a proselytizing evangelical Christian, I was one of those people would would pray instead of helping. :-( As an atheist, I regret having been that way. is it better to live alone so other people don’t have to deal with me? Let other people be responsible for themselves, their welfare, etc. I like /u/ClintonKilldepstein's comment: ...living alone may end up unintentionally exacerbating, rather than relieving your anxieties. I've lived alone the majority of my life. I still have friends that I spend time with. It's helpful to relieve the boredom. What do you want?

are men not entitled to that fact as well? "entitled" is a tricky concept. Should men just trust women and the fact they may be paying for, raising and supporting a child that is not even theirs? I don't think men "should just trust women". "Trust; but, verify" comes to mind. From the source post: I confessed to my wife I got a paternity test. At least to me it trivializes the thought and effort I put into what I create. I definitely prefer "developer" over "coder" for similar reasons. Thanks.

As others have commented, the code on the right is overly-commented. What's worst about it, though, is that if the two inputs are equal/identical then it yields "5" as the maximum... regardless of what the input values actually were. I assume that the code on the left is doing something related to "square root" but confess that I don't know what exactly it's doing, or whether it's even doing something useful, coherent, etc.

Personally, I still have difficulty with that, and I expect it'll always (but perhaps decreasingly, as it has decreased during therapy) be difficult. From the Wikipage: ACT is developed within a pragmatic philosophy called functional contextualism. In ACT, as far as I understand, a thought's "usefulness" depends on its influence on your action(s) related to your chosen goals/values.
/r/MGTOW27/04/20 05:52 PM
1

ACT seems to be noticing your thoughts but not following them. Is there more to it? Great question! Yes, there is more to it. In particular, sometimes following/enacting a thought can help us pursue a goal or a value. For example, following the thought "I could try strength training" might help you in the pursuit of physical strength and health. Conversely, using the ACT approach, one might notice and allow (but not follow) the thought "they'll like me if I ..." and the associated (unpleasant?) …

Any tips for how to get over this i am Very bitter and im always angry at women. You might feel your bitterness and anger intermittently, continually, and sometimes acutely for the rest of your life; in that sense, you might never "get over this". You can learn, via Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, how to pursue what you value even with your thoughts and feelings churning. ACT and a competent (male, as it happens) psychotherapist have helped me tremendously with such.

Should i develop this property into housing? Hell no. Sometimes the answer to that question is "I would, but the state prohibits/obstructs my doing so". California in particular has exacerbated its housing shortage/crisis. Excerpt: Normally, businesses and entrepreneurs respond to rising prices by increasing supply and thereby dampening price increases. But that does not happen in California because regulatory obstacles impede housing construction.

Yeah, this is ugly IMHO. Blaming a whole group of people, especially a group defined by essentially inherited/inherent characteristics, reflects poorly on the blamer. I'm an atheist and not a Zionist. Not that that should matter.

People laugh at me because I say "it's rape when people are asked to wear masks to save lives". It is! To hurt each each other to control death? No noo... It hurts my heart! If a society is only as healed as its most challenged individual then what are we doing? Wow, that was quite an unusual ride for me. She seems quite upset about masks. 😳

IMHO, this is another case in which analysis of property rights may help. Is it her choice whether to wear a mask? Yes. Is it every other property-owner's choice whether (for examples) to admit her onto/into their property or to provide products/services to her? Yes. Notably, "public" property ownership muddles /confounds this. I suspect you'd see her quickly choose to wear a mask if no grocery store, restaurant, or (presumably private) transportation would admit/serve her without one.

barely fed wage slave in a cage ... reminds me of what totalitarian states actually have done in recent history. 🤔 I welcome citations of instances in which corporations have put "wagies in cagies", especially without (implicit or explicit) state support/approval. Regardless, I'd rather take my chances with "evil megacorporations" without a state possibly easing their evil. I think it's humane to respect individual human rights to self-ownership and non-aggressive self-determination. In my view,…

to think companies on their own accord wouldn't do terrible things or even just go the extra mile to do good out of their own heart or that doing so automatically leads to profits or that there's natural incentive is a bit nieve Yes, that would be a bit naïve. As Solzhenitsyn wrote: "But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being." And as "none of us is a dumb as all of us" 😜, I would expect corporations and other organizations to do "evil", just as they sometime…
/r/MGTOW19/04/20 02:54 AM

And if An-Caps got their way and megacorporations replaced the government, what then? IMHO, "replaced" is not a fitting verb here. As I said: I see the state as crucially differing from any other type of thing in its claim to monopolize the use of aggression and coercion. I don't know what amazing (and surely many shitty) voluntary organizations and voluntary governance we humans would invent and pursue. I don't like uncertainty but accept it regarding human self-ownership, agency, and action.
/r/MGTOW19/04/20 02:20 AM

Exploitation is exploitation, whether from a corrupt government or a massive corporate entity. FWIW, I see "corrupt government" and "a massive corporate entity" crucially differing in that the former claims a monopoly on the use of aggression and coercion whereas the latter does not. As a consumer, I can dissociate from the corporation; but, I cannot dissociate from the state, except by changing my place of residence.

...not necessarily conservative nor liberal but more Libertarian (middle). You might consider the idea that individual liberty and statism form a political axis that is orthogonal to that of "right/conservative" and "left/liberal", as the "World's Smallest Political Quiz" depicts.

I'm anarcho capitalist, a step further from libertarianism. So am I! 👍 I'm considering the "voluntaryist" or "post-statist" monikers, though, because "anarchy" seems to mean "chaotic hellscape" to many folks despite its simply meaning "no rulers".

I've noticed an uptick in anti religious sentiment amongst the community... ...I don't think it's right or logical to shit on those of us who do believe in God. I don't shove my faith down the throats of others and I think it should go for the non religious, atheist, agnostic types to not force their beliefs down my throat either. From "More COVID-19 News" on SBM.org: A recent study concludes that it was definitely not engineered. It is a naturally-occurring virus, meaning that it evolved outside of the lab, and was not created in any way. This is important factual information for countering all the conspiracy theories out there. Of course it will not sway the conspiracy theorists themselves, they are immune to facts (that is the core nature of conspiracy thinking). They will dismiss this news as part of the conspiracy. B…

What about them? I believe they can be (and have been) handled voluntarily. Moreover, IMHO, handling them voluntarily is the only ethical and humane option. Achieving those ends (or any others) cannot justify coercive expropriation (is that redundant?) as the means. It's your money. You paid taxes you're getting some of it back. Au contraire, mon frère! The Federal Reserve Bank may create new money to fund unlimited bond purchases: Last Monday, the Fed publicly called its latest bond buying plans "unlimited." ... The Fed doesn't print money. It instead creates digital dollar credits that are as good as cash. In short: it's more federal debt and probably monetary inflation, too.

an actual sense of participation in lewd activities is not easily available. I can see how affection starved men, indeed boys who grew up on the fringes and get little in the way of positive interactions with women, would happily burn a netflix subscription on the illusion that someone likes them, or even wants to interact with them. I think this is a key insight into OnlyFans' popularity.

Men think, then let their conclusions determine their feelings, and then act or form beliefs Women feel first, then base their thoughts on those feelings, then act or form beliefs based on those thoughts. Although this may seem true, I highly doubt it's true. Sensation, emotion, and pattern-recognition occur orders of magnitude more rapidly neurologically than abstract reasoning. I sympathize with you, especially because I'm dealing with similar feelings around my marriage. One thing that helped me initiate a separation was imagining looking back on my life from its later end, and what I would like to see myself having chosen and done, even if it was really fucking difficult and painful, in the service of my values and how I wanted to be.
