It's one thing to share feelings, it's another to emotionally vomit. Emotionally vomiting is extremely unattractive.

OYS #4 After reading the other OYS posts and really reflecting on what I want, I'm making changes to the categories I'm watching currently. I didn't post an OYS last week because I felt like I didn't really OMS, and even this week I feel like I haven't done much at all and feel like I'm treading water personally. I've got to get my butt in gear and need to focus on keeping myself “On” at all times. I'll be grading myself on a letter system. Marriage/Family- D+ Dropping myself an entire letter gr…

She'll do chores, but sometimes I need those work clothes washed by tomorrow and she's not that dependable. You should be either doing them yourself or getting on her sooner. There's an old fashioned housewife rule that Monday is laundry day. Make Monday laundry day. Well I thought that having my LTR work part-time would mean that she would be cooking/cleaning/doing dishes a LOT more than she is. Here's your problem. Massive covert contract. You need to establish boundaries and not get butthurt …

When my irrational fears start taking hold I have to stop and ask myself, "What's the worst that could happen?" Once the decision is made, I have to own it. Unless it's real, imminent, physical harm, there is nothing I should fear.

You're not required to listen. I know some will say to A&A, or AM, or fog, but if she's being a bitch just verbally smack her down with a simple "you done?" with a look and confidence and you go about your day.

Giving her minimal contact until I get my anger under control and decide what to do. If he does more than this, he's completely ceding frame and it will come across as extremely butthurt and needy. She knows he has no recourse and fears no response.

Thanks, I am, but definitely far away from where I want to be. Major validation last summer when I was down to around 200lbs and two female friends asked me if I was on meth due to the weight loss. I haven't worn my wedding band for almost 3 years becausesn't fit and can't be resized and I'm not causing enough dread to make her get on buying me a new one.

The adrenaline a man will experience if he gets into a street fight will be short lived. Few are aware how fast the body tires when locked in combat. As LARPy as this may sound, back in HS a bunch of buddies and myself made a video for our English class, part of it was a "combat" scene with what we could fashion for proper gear or stuff that we'd collected, basic chain mail, etc but with steel swords, axes, flails and the like. Even at half speed it wasn't more than a minute and even the most fi…

Everything I'm reading right now is saying that GFCI outlets are required by code on outdoor and garage outlets. I could still just do it and replace it back if/when we sell. I'll have to do some thinking Personally, that's what I'd do, but that's me. Obviously GFCI outlets are there for a reason, and if it's not really a common issue then maybe you'll be fine...but having a freezer full of hundreds of dollars of food go bad because of s $3 outlet...cost benefit goes to the normal outlet IMO. Learning to STFU can be as simple as giving yourself a few seconds to respond OP. When she puts you on blast, you don't need to react immediately. Give yourself a few seconds, let your brain calm down and then choose how to respond. Your wife won't notice a difference and you can pull yourself out of her frame. An exercise I do sometimes is in normal conversation, she will say something, I immediately know my response but I wait and respond in a short bit after. It's very useful for all sorts of…

I've only done workouts at night...only time it fit the schedule. That said, I love the feeling of coming home at night to a quiet house. I can take a shower in peace, eat something and just sit and relax for a bit before heading to bed.

tripped the GFCI on the outlet, so it sat not running for a few days and now it smells musty, so getting another outlet on it's own circuit in the garage may be another project for me too, Just find a non GFCI outlet at a big box store. They're really unnecessary unless you're dealing with water and it'll prevent that from happening again.

OYS #3 After reading the other OYS posts and really reflecting on what I want, I'm making changes to the categories I'm watching currently. I'll be grading myself on a letter system. Marriage/Family- C+ It been so short of a time between OYS posts, that there isn't much to add but I will say that I've seen slight improvement in myself and holding frame and really working towards internalizing it. Managing ownership is a hassle. We had to financially separate significantly, redo our accounting and roll the remaining SCorp into a newly founded CCorp. But now ownership is clear. I get the feeling this will be the same for me/us. Honestly it would have been easier had my parents left it as a sole proprietorship, but made the moves to save FICA taxes, which I don't blame them for...it's just going to be a bitch now. I have one younger brother who had zero interest. He's currently on a doctorate degree path in an entirely different field and state. My parents have discussed with me having him having an ownership percentage, but it would be "well below" what I would be receiving. Currently, I guess you could say I'm the facilities Assistant GM. If I could give myself an executive spot, it would probably be COO given my role in day to day operations. Currently its a bit different because the (iirc) CCorp that…

Being married to a guy that never initiates sex sounds depressing; and no wonder she has resorted to girl porn. I fucked my wife all throughout both pregnancies until she was huge the doctor cock blocked me. Suggest your try initiating in the morning. Even for me, watching you can see how the friends body language and his clothing screams "I'm not comfortable" I've never been to Miami, but if I see a guy in a leisure suit versus a guy in a basic button down, it's clear who's gonna be there to party and have fun and who's probably going to be a drag.

Relative to the "F" on sex; you don't mention whether you are initiating and where your at on OI. I haven't initiated in over a year, this was through pregnancy and post partum... honestly I haven't felt the desire to most nights and while I knew I could be passable at OI, two things stopped me. I work for, and with, family. My father is owner and CEO, mother is CFO and that's it. Discussions have been had and hopefully within the next year or less I'll be having a portion of ownership within the company. OYS #2 I'll be grading myself on a letter system. Marriage- C+ Easy part of the month as she's in her fertile window. She's always more calm, sweeter and generally more compliant and doesn't shit test as often during this period so it's been easy to get some things done that absolutely needed to get done for work as it was all based on mother nature cooperating. This is the biggest personal issue for me. We are doing "ok". Income is better due to wife's new job and some consistent pain increases on my end, but two kids under 3 the costs are eating us alive. I've got a car that I've had sitting for over a year that I'm hoping to move soon. Wife and I have talked a number of times of selling all the stupid crap we have but nothing ever comes of it. I will have to take care of this and get things organized and get things moving.

There is no benefit. Someone to raise your children while you are working could be argued, but even that can be done sans matrimony. Increased household revenues? That's all I got...her marginal increase in income, but that's surely to be turned to a net negative as she will spend more than she produces.

There are few benefits, but a few are worth mentioning. -Children are carriers of your genetic material (if you care, this is a marginal benefit if you're unconcerned about your genetic lineage) -Children are capable of unconditional love you will not receive from women. (Little touchy feely but having a toddler running to you yelling "daddy" is one of the best feelings ever) -Children are capable of assisting you in your waning years. The thing is, its taken seriously because our marriage are serious business. We can talk shit and have a good time, but when it comes down to it, our families are depending on us and that's #1. To go in not understanding the gravity of the situation is where you butt heads. Its not just you. Its your wife and your children, not to mention all the assets you've worked hard to acquire. I don't know if men who haven't been in a marriage or in a really serious and truly long term (multiple years) monogamous relationship can truly grasp the idea and hope that you have found someone you can, as the quote says, to be able to relax and be open and honest with someone who is a female, who can give you that northerly love and then give you a BJ afterwards because she knows that'll make you feel better. That's why they're all nurses. Status and pay as RNs, with plausible deniability when the Dr is the one making the calls on treatment. It's like middle management. It's taken more willpower than I'd like to admit to pass on them and it's embarrassing. This is very true. In poor countries there is usually little in terms of social programs capable of taking care of single mothers like there is in the Western world. Instead, men must be able to provide for their wives and subsequent offspring or the marriage doesn't take place. With such strict controls on male/female interaction via religious and social pressures only those capable of caring for a wife will have them...those who don't, won't, and won't be having sex.

The Matrix comments are sometimes over used, but it's like Cypher and the steak. You want to be able to eat the steak and think it's real. You want the love you think you deserve but know it's impossible to have and you're having a hard time reconciling the differences. You're putting yourself into the dogmatic boxes of theism and atheism. You can believe that God both exists and doesn't, that there is fate and free will; there has to be an understanding that you will have cognitive dissonance.

The thing I can add is that if you need style tips, look at men's magazines like GQ. They always have a number of fashion/style pieces that you can imitate on a budget if you can't afford to throw a couple hundred bucks at a slack/shirt/shoe combo. Also, just look up how to wear your clothes... Don't wear crew socks with dress shoes. Remember that you don't button all the buttons on your suit (and remember the order). If you want a more inexpensive watch (not quite $10 Walmart special) then look at brands like Fossil, Nixon, and maybe a Citizen. You'll spend about $100 for a nice watch but if you get one that looks good and plays for multiple looks then you can easily get buy with one or two. Ive got a small collection of about 8 watches all under $150 that I've built up over the years, a number as Christmas gifts which make it easy for those who will get you them.

Agreed. It's been years since I've even worn a suit, much less purchased one, but the key is to not buy one off the rack. Go, find a place that specializes in suits, and have it fitted there (if the place doesn't tailor suits just walk away). Another tip, a lot of local independent shops will have a BOGO type sale once or twice a year, ask them when it is and get two suits.

My son has a decade and a half before he's out there in the "real world". All I'm going to impart on him is that if he's getting any, it had best be from some broad who's working a 9-5 at the diner. Keep away from the entitled college girls you're going to see. I do wonder how much longer this will last, the kangaroo courts, before men on campus decide it's not worth it. After some more introspection, I feel that dreading an 18yo female completely flys in the face of the abundance mentality. If you can snag a teen, then getting another shouldn't be hard. Just seems almost like someone playing hardball with a kid who just played started TBall.

Well dreading an 18YO is stupid IMO...there's little to gain and, as you said, its probably going to be counterproductive. Though, actively seeking out others would be considered dread...idk, I wouldn't bother with an 18yo to begin with so maybe that's the source of my general disdain.

If a man asks another man why he isn't getting any dates, they'll be honest and say "maybe its because your a fat slob who lives in his parents basement and works an Pizza Hut". I think the rise of TRP is due in large part, as you said, to 3rd wave feminism for sure. Prior to that, however, I think the issue was the unintended consequences of men trusting women for advice on how to attract women... Because who would know how to attract a woman better than her?

I agree with this. Growing up in the upper Midwest, if you're a single male or female by 30 who isn't already divorced once, you're getting into the "cat lady" or "creepy" phase by most accounts...though I'd say most "like" to be married by 28 at the latest. If you're out of college in 4 years, that's 4 years into your career. Should be stable enough to get married and have one child before 30.

The anger phase is real, there's no doubt, and it does seem that TRP is an echo chamber for that phase. That said, for those of us who either were married before we found TRP/MRP or those who decide to take the risk, its not difficult to find satisfaction with the opposite sex. The issue is managing expectations. Whenever I feel myself writing covert contracts, I reread about the hierarchy of love, and it sets me back in the correct frame of mind.

The only difference would probably be more geared towards marriage than simply sleeping around. Mix in the BP stuff along with the general masculine way of thinking.

I would love a softball like "Are you "standing up to me" and take a swing with "Why would I need to stand up to you? Unless you think you're controlling, in which case...you should probably stop that." Don't mention your gender, and he would have thrown a different insult. As a guy, if I'm gaming and someone doesn't have an overtly female username, I assume its a male. Honestly, female gamers don't bother me in the slightest, except when they choose to draw attention to it, for either mocking purpose (you lost to a girl) or to curry favor... $1200 will buy you guys a fantastic set of stainless steel pans and some high end knives. Learning to cook is one of the most satisfying things you will do. When you pull those sautéed veggies out of the pan, and have them next to that steak you got off the grill...and then as you eat it it dawns on you "This taste better than a steakhouse" and the cost is less than half of what you'd normally pay...man that's gold.

To be fair, if you've gotten to the point where you need TRP, then chances are most of the happiness you had in life was gone anyways. I'm not one to promote the constant movement towards "more more more" as some are. Hedonism for hedonism's sake is fruitless in my opinion. That said, its supposed to be about finding internal validation, which in this day and age seems to be more and more difficult.

"Toxic masculinity is one of the ways in which Patriarchy is harmful to men. It is the socially-constructed attitudes that describe the masculine gender role as violent, unemotional, sexually aggressive, and so forth." Its playing off the fact that typically, women want men to lead, and in so doing, allow for plausible deniability if things go south. My wife dealt with it after our child. In my opinion, the #1 thing is to make sure she gets enough rest. Sleep will do incredible things to the body and it needs it after what she went through. What about breach of contract? You signed the document saying you were going to supply a service, if you don't follow through, I'd think that be a breach. Now, if there is paperwork involved, and let's say, a date culminating in sex, could that be constrewed as prostitution? You trading a sexual favor for compensation? Adding paperwork will do nothing more than complicate the issue.

The issue is people think of it in the 1950s/60s housewife ideology and mentality. Growing up in agriculture, was the wife responsible for keeping the home as well as the children? Absolutely, along with other tasks around the farm. There were chickens to be fed, eggs collected, gardens weeded. Meanwhile the husband was responsible for working in the fields, milking the cows, cleaning stalls, chopping wood. The funny thing is, jobs would overlap. That's sorta how it works...I was one that ate up dating advice. The "be yourself" and "be there for her" and "buy her presents" type stuff. RP isn't just "ideas" to fix your relationship. It's a philosophy that you must adapt and accept. If you halfass RP philosophy, then you'll destroy your relationship faster than you could ever imagine. I'd be interested in what you guys do. I've gotten my mother and wife both cards. Got some cookware thing she pointed out for my sons "gift"...she's wanted a new bed and headboard/frame so I think that may be my " gift" to her.

That's the anger phase. When you realize that everything you thought would be good enough simply isn't. I can't remember the post, but Rollo has a great piece on the expectations of society on men. Yes, we are expected to do all of these things and not be thanked. It is only what we produce or do above and beyond that earns recognition...it's a bitter pill.

A shitty lawn just requires more than just watering. It's a living thing. You need to water it, but you need to feed it, mow it, put down some chemicals to kill that fucking crabgrass and dandelions.. Sure, you can throw your hands up and say "this lawns a mess and I'm not going to change it". Then what do you have? A shitty lawn that you have to live with for months. You could always call a lawn company, but then you've officially let it go...you're letting the Chad Thundercock of lawns service…

Am I not mistaken, that any sort of ejaculation, sex or fap, will boost the testosterone of the man? I'm with BPP, if you feel the need but haven't approached the wife yet, then who cares...unless it's a compulsion and you're doing it instead of approaching, then yeah, stop...otherwise do what you want.

This may come a little late, and being that youre in Japan, it may be different, but you absolutely need to stand up for yourself. You need to have OI, especially when she does this. I'm not one to advocate harming your wife in any regard, but you maybe need to be willing to step up to the next level of aggression to move her. If she will not allow you access to leave, then move her out of the way. Sometimes fear is a great motivator, and maybe thats exactly what she needs. You must be able to c…

Dude, bro, dude...quit talking to her about it. You are not going to change the past. Living as though your actions now will change anything will be nothing but an anchor to your success. You want your wife to lose weight? Then take over making the meals, or buying the food. You start exercising together. You lead by example, not by talking. You have to remember this simple fact. Red Pill philosophy has NOTHING to do with changing your wife directly, YOU change and she will follow. RP is self im…

You would have alpha children, but being raised by beta fathers to simply start the process over again. Not to mention the known negatives of raising children via single parenthood.

How does that compare, in your mind, with Kay's assertion that as a married man you must find the balance between alpha and beta?

While it may be antiquated in modern times, the standard "Gentlemen's magazine" like GQ or Esquire are useful tools for fashion advice. They also usually come with great articles on a variety of subjects, and have nice looking women who may or not not be scantily clad.

Missed my first workout. I had some bicep/pec pain through the last workout and wasn't able to progress on weight the last time. I did get things done around the house though...and the wife made comments that she is liking the new me and is being more physically affectionate which is huge to me.

Exactly what I did about a year ago with my career. Got into farming and running the family business because it was easy...got complacent and really resented how I felt I had wasted my time with college if this was my future anyways. Finding a passion for what I'm doing now, rather than the "oh I wish I was doing this" was a tough transition mentally...had full 5 grief steps...couldnt be happier with my job now.

As a guy who came here from there, it makes me cringe going back. It's all just pitiful self loathing and whining and just one blue pill cliche after another. it truly is the blind leading the blind.

After I pushed too hard and wife went nuke, its been worse than before. No arguments but I know shes pissed and to be honest it doesn't bother me. She even told me "don't let the fact that I'm acting nice to you think my feelings have changed." I don't care anymore. If I can salvage this, great. If not, her loss.

I've only been lifting less than a handful of times. The way I feel about myself afterwords though is incredible. I work with my hands and body every day, but there is something about staring yourself in the mirror while you're got some piece of iron in your hands or on your back that makes this all seem more purposeful. I like the pain, I like the struggle, I like feeling sore because I know there's a goal, I know what it is. I know that at the end of it all, I'll be happy with myself and that'…

Hey man, don't worry, I have a very similar situation...I started pushing back and WW3 maybe on the brink. Do what you feel is best, though if she's worth staying married to, then you can maybe salvage this...but its all if you want it.

Henry is our son. He's 15 months old. She was trying to use a conversation about our marriage to prevent me from getting to my appointment. I told her that we could discuss it after I got back and she never brought it up, and I sure wasn't going to.

I guess I'd play it by ear? If she seems genuinely happy you moved it back, maybe you earn some BP listening points, if she's kind of a bitch and rubs it in your face, move it back. You did her a favor by bending, if she lords it over you, move it back and let all hell break lose.

I should add quickly, (as I can't edit on my phone for whatever reason), I knowingly played into my normal beta response as I had no idea what I should do, not knowing how aggressive to take it.

Wasn't it one of the sidebar guys that said you need to mix both alpha and beta? Maybe I'm wrong here, but it's ok to worry about her and what she's thinking and feeling, the issue is when you let those thoughts effect you and how you treat her. Maybe you need to set up an office somewhere else. Have a place where you can legitimately go and do your work. Plus it may be a nice stress management tool to be able to literally, leave the work at work.

I still have a helluva time getting to know when she is hampstering or not...is there a general easy tell? Like she just rambles on and on about a subject, or is that not it?

Sounds like you did it exactly as advised. Keep up the good work, take BPProfs advice, get your reading in and keep working out. You'll get through this.

I haven't had sex in a year, so take it with a grain of salt, but maybe she wants you to just take her? If you get assertive and she rejects you again, like really rejects you, then you know she's just playing you. It could be the dominance thing.

Yeah, 50lbs seems high to me...I'm 6'/6'1" and weigh 225...I'm not a total fat ass, but just a bit flabby, namely lower abs...

Thanks for the encouragement. I know its a big time change in my personal mindset. I just need to get things done, own my own shit as is said around here. An aside on my wife, I know she has some major hormonal issues. Beyond the AD meds, she does have a IUD (Merena) so I'm competing with that. Also, she has suffered from polycystic ovarian crap. For years, literally, she was suffering from nearly constant bleeding...so needless to say, that has put a major damper on our sex life. She had it tak…

I'd love to. My biggest thing is getting into a routine of actually working out. The next closest gym is at minimum a 30 minute round trip. If I put that in my own way, I know I'll find excuses not to go.

Great. I know holding frame and simply removing myself works wonders if she's upset or in a mood over something stupid. Tried it the first day I read MRP and worked to perfection, though I think its more so shock of me grasping at getting my balls back than anything else.

Thank you, I'll take both bits of advice under advisement. I have noticed over the past year+ a good drop in my overall sex drive...I never attributed it to lower T. The wife is actually going to be talking to her doc about upping her meds...that will give me a perfect in.

Great advice. Thank you. My biggest concern is regarding things like deadlifting and squats (seem to be highly recommended)...I'll have to give another look at the equipment, but I know there's no squat rack, or even a traditional bench press.

My farm income is mine alone. I have that in a separate account that only I have access to, so no worries there. I'm defiantly going to be raising my son as Alpha as possible. I'll try to make sure he doesn't fall for ONEitis.
