Believing that nothing bad can ever happen to you is an external locus of control and you'll be set back when something breaks your conviction. Yeah, I’m struggling with this. I can look towards future events and be hopeful but when it comes to looking at the possible rejection from this girl I become obsessed with determining what possible flaw or minor mistake if there were any turned her off from me. How else can I deal with this? The sub preaches self improvement which requires introspection…

Sure, I’ll try and sum it up like this Unfavorable, negative events are unavoidable in life. And sometimes, when we think a disproportionate amount of these events are happening to us, we adjust to our thinking for believing the result, unavoidable outcome in life is the worst outcome. And this affects everything. If we think the bad event is bound to happen, we ca less secure, more paranoid, and less confident. Believing that the default outcome for you will be a good event leads to a loop wher…

I wasn't verbally persistent but I did escalate from simply making out to oral. How do I be verbally persistent without coming across as well, rapey, when a girl says that she's unsure about sex?

Thanks! Just trying to maintain an abundance mindset now, there's another girl who I've gotten with before who the last 2 times I've texted to hang out has given me an excuse not to, yet she keeps telling her friends she'd get with me again while simultaneously flaking on me. Now that I have the aforementioned girl in the post as another possible option, I won't feel as nervous trying to set things up even if she flakes a third time (in that case I'd totally write her off)

This is something that's really opened my eyes since I've started to work on my game more. Forget about saying the perfect thing or imitating a PUA, the vast majority of guys are too nervous to go up to girls. Just approach and be somewhat confident and girls will really appreciate it.

I get really nervous if it’s a group of people, especially ones that I know have seen me around campus yet I’ve never spoke with. What do I open with?

How do you toe the fine line between not putting women on a pedestal, showing interest, yet not showing too much interest?

The other thing to keep in mind when talking to girls is that when it's too obvious a guy wants to have sex It’s college, I know multiple girls who just have sex with a guys and don’t really expect anything else

That would be like a girl saying to you "hey I want this arrangement with you where you listen to my problems and take me out to dinner and buy me nice gifts but we never fuck" the day after you took her to dinner. Then imagine she gets confused about why you weren't all for that plan, asks her girlfriends "Well he SAID he likes going to restaurants and is a great listener!" I thought it wasn’t a big deal because, well, we basically did have sex 5 hours after meeting each other so I didn’t think…

Well all I told her was that she had a nice ass/gave good head luckily. I’m more worried that I constantly drag out what the girl perceives to only be one night stands. I’ll get with a girl and then casually try to see them again, which doesn’t typically end successfully. I’m just worried it’ll happen again with this girl. I go to a small college and there’s not exactly an abundance of attractive girls around so when I find one who will fuck me I try and do it more than once. I was extremely for…

If she’s leaving you on read, I’d say let it go. I know it stings my friend and it makes you feel like shit but take it as a learning process to not ever come off as the needier one

I’d really rather not be. I really struggle with approaching not because i freeze up on approaching itself. I know no matter what happens approaching will make me feel better regardless of the outcome, but I can’t get over the anxiety of simply approaching itself.

Also, if you don’t like yourself, how is anyone else meant to? I find it hard to like myself when I can’t be a normal human being and approach successfully, or that I haven’t had sex in 3 months. Why am I even worthy of my own respect? I can’t escape this cycle of getting my hopes and then failing and doing the same thing over and over again. Quite frankly I should actually take charge of my life for once and slit my goddamn wrists because this shit isn’t ending

People probably think you're a serial killer. It doesn't matter how handsome a guy is if he gives murderer vibes. I’m a murderer for dancing with my friends? Lol come on it’s bad but I’m not standing in a corner staring at a girl for 3 hours

Just want to say that yeah, I struggle with this too. Going out everyday and keeping a consistent mindset about approaching is really hard and I get discouraged/down on myself way too easilt

I told her I'd text her (and I set it up last time and know I'm supposed to) but I'm just not sure if it sounds weird ending the conversation with that and nothing else

Is it worth it to try and have her come over again or should I just take the L and treat it as a learning experience? At least I know I’m shit at reading women now

bro she came to your room But she literally complained how she thought romance was dead. This does not sound like a girl who is into hooking up. After hearing that I was super hesitant to lean in sending weird vibes... bro, you're not going to get anywhere. You're probably gonna lose this one. I just don’t think she liked me that much in the first place anyway

I can promise you my school does not give a shit about sports What are you even doing here if you're just that amazing? Why not just ask your fraternity about this problem? Dude I can’t even say hello to 5 strangers I definitely dont have my shit together yet

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
