Hey /r/seduction, I’m a college freshman. I go to a small liberal arts college, so there isn’t that much of a party scene. It’s much harder to get with girls here than it is at a larger school. I’m over 6’3’’, work out a lot and play on the baseball team at the college. However, the only “action” I’ve gotten in the last 2 months was a drunken 3 minute hookup at a club with a girl who, to be honest with myself, was not attractive. A little background: I’ve had a girlfriend, I’ve gotten with 10+ girls, but I still knew I didn’t have that much confidence. I couldn’t go up to girls without feeling a huge amount of anxiety, and after reading this sub I realized I was far from at least acting confident and outgoing in my daily life.

There’s this girl I met a few days ago, who’s the friend of a friend of the friend’s new roommate. I think she’s cute, and I knew other guys would try and go for her so I decided to go for it (as best I could). I got her and the new roommates number (they were together and I didn’t feel comfortable just asking for one of them) a day after I met her (Sunday). I didn’t see her much the next few days- my confidence began to drop, and I’m still far away from being where I want to be (I saw her sitting with some other guys and almost lost all hope immediately). I’ve been trying to fight myself though- challenging my thoughts and thinking about the things I’ve seen on here.

Tonight I finally worked up the confidence to ask her to hang out. Yes, I delayed for like 10 minutes because I was scared but I went over and do it. I noticed she was subtly trying to keep the conversation going when I was running out of things to say. Was it perfect? No. Was I totally confident? No. I’m even still a little scared to text her to set up plans and I still feel afraid I won’t close or she just said yes because she felt bad for me or doesn’t acrually want to get with me. But I at least finished the first part- now I just have to close! I’m not nearly where I want to be but I’m getting there.
