Oh don't get me wrong , I'm happy for him of course. We haven't seen each other much lately which is probably what it is really.

Exactly. I've looked over there in the menopause sub and feel awful for what's to come :/ I'm honestly scared of menopause

How does this work when older though? Like after menopause etc?

Ooh thank you. Definitely going to look that up :) sounds really interesting

Is the rapport talkers and report talkers from a book? If so, I'd like to read it!

Hello! I'm so happy to hear the teachings are working for you :) In reply to your question I haven't really applied much, not really seen my SO all that much so not sure how I could apply really :)

Thank you ❤️ knew I'd read it somewhere!

Last weekend it was him with illness yeah, then this weekend it was me! Ah he did say did I make sure to tell my mother about said illness, whuch he seemed fine about. As in make sure she knows that's the reason . Maybe could still be feeling a bit funny about it.

I can see that and definitely thought of this but I did have good intentions :)

I've had anxiety for a while. I'm currently medicated but still some days are good and some aren't.
/r/RedPillWomen23/04/23 03:50 PM

Exactly. It's not me texting him, I'm trying to just do my own thing, it's him texting me saying how tired he is

How lovely ❤️

I'm not sure how to have him pay more ? Especially with not wanting to ask or for it to be a discussion or confrontational. How can I get creative? I know women, not necessarily nice ones who somehow manage to get a man to pay for everything for them and point blank ask them to buy what they want . I don't understand this at all. Why would a man do this for a woman who is demanding and awful to them?
/r/RedPillWomen31/03/23 06:11 PM
2

What did you do? Stop paying for my own taxi you mean? Or just other bits? I had trouble with this in my previous relationship. I was a bit more feisty then and would say what I wanted I.e. talking about living together. It never happened . I always felt I was trying to prove myself as worthy to him somehow .
/r/RedPillWomen31/03/23 05:53 PM
5

Yeah I do struggle with it. I think some men think women just want money to be spent on them.

Ooh yes , I could do with a re read! Thank you? I've just read the queen's code and loved it!

I have asked him before if there's anything he feels he's not getting enough of. He assures me he is happy . So then I tend to get stuck there .

How do I even have these conversations ?

I am conflict avoidant and don't want to rock the boat in any way. Its extremely difficult for me. I think he does try. He does pay cabs sometimes which I always make sure to say thank you. Then he just doesn't? Both of us are fairly sensible with money.

Also I wanted to add, which I forgot to add in my post. My SO has taken upon himself to refer to my mother as his mother, so in text he will say mum as if it's both our mother. This is annoying me as I refer to his mother as his mother like she's not mine and he doesn't even know mine. What can I say kindly to get him to stop?
/r/RedPillWomen09/07/21 04:40 PM

Oooh thank you :) I think I actually have that on Kindle, must find it again :)
/r/RedPillWomen09/07/21 01:57 PM
3

Thank you so much :) this is good advice. Yes I'm the more introverted one, struggling with anxiety and depression and he's the more extroverted and will talk to anyone type :) I feel like he won't let me help with anything, like he relies a lot on his mum and sister and is all about them. He was saying about not being able to get groceries as his mum is currently unable to drive, so I gently suggested he try ordering online, which he will not do and waited it out for his sister to shop for him …

I hadn't heard of it until last night in this sub :) Ahh thank you so much :) I just wish it would work!! Can't get the calculate results button to work, keeps coming up like to type . So frustrating :) Does it give you a percentage or like a spectrum of alpha beta? Or is it just straight up alpha or beta?
/r/RedPillWomen02/02/21 02:09 PM

This is also probably very true :) I did give a couple of ideas when asked then let it drop as he went off to do other things only for him to keep asking for more ideas.
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 07:21 PM
1

Yes I've tried asking :) I get an over reaction oh my god I can't believe you would think this or that. All I can think of is his mother is over bearing and controlling so she generally has control of these things, so maybe he's wanting the ideas and it's nice for him but he knows she will have the final say anyway or he's scared of a woman other than her having any input. Other than that it's something I don't even know myself really. I keep trying to talk about it but he keeps putting it onto …
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 07:19 PM
1

Yeah this is what I was doing. I kept asking what do you think? What do you have in mind? Oh that's nice was the answer. So I gave up thinking oh well he mustnt be too bothered about it, only for him to keep asking for more ideas. When I've said why do you keep asking, if you're not intent on my ideas? I get that I'm the one over reacting, oh my god I can't believe you would say that I only said I liked the colour I have. It's not a two way thing, he asks for ideas just says that's nice and does…
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 07:16 PM
1

Yeah could well be this for all I know :) What can I really do about that though? He is asking my ideas, I'm genuinely being helpful as he asked. He seems to scared to have a woman's input. His mother is awful, overbearing etc. So I've been careful to be not like that, then when I try to help only when asked, he acts like I'm being too much. I think he's scared as if actually putting an idea of mine means I'm going to take over him or something. I can understand as his mother is a total nightmar…
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 05:46 PM
1

No no idea. He will say he likes something or say it's nice, then ask for me to give more ideas :/
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 05:42 PM
1

Yeah probably :) I just don't understand the keep asking, having me invest time and effort when he's not that interested anyway, then him to belittle it :/ just feels really unfair on me especially if he's not really looking to change anything anyway.
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 05:24 PM
1

I did keep asking him questions about it. Sent him things, got his feedback all that kind of thing. Then I just left it, I wasnt sure what time he wanted to invest etc so I just left it, only for him to keep picking it up, did I have any more ideas?
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 05:23 PM
2

It's actually him that keeps bringing it up about colours and stuff not me. I know he's not interested in these things, I don't understand why it keeps happening where it ends up the same way each time like it's my fault, when he actually keeps asking me and I'm just being genuine and trying to help. I have anxiety myself and I've been really struggling we are in lockdown and haven't seen each other for months. I genuinely spend a lot of my time trying to understand others and how I can communic…
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 04:19 PM
1

I made sure to keep asking him questions, like what would he like? What ideas he had? It just feels like he almost keeps using me, like making sure of my interest and attention in a way when like you say he's not even that serious or that interested about this topic really. Yes I've asked him why it keeps happening but he spins it back onto me saying oh I only said I still liked the colour :/
/r/RedPillWomen01/02/21 04:08 PM
1

This cycle has happened several times now. I'm very reluctant to get into conversations about paint colours and was very careful about getting into this one. It ends up the same way each time, he draws me into it then by the end of the day says oh but I love this colour I have. Ok fair enough, like why keep asking me then if you're just going to keep dismissing my ideas? It just seems really unfair. Then it's like oh haha me and my big mouth. Like I'm not very good with boundaries and stuff and …

Yeah definitely. I definitely picked up from the book it’s not about bad behaviour or anything like that I’m really struggling with anxiety and feeling down lately. Haven’t seen bf for nearly 3 months we are still on a lockdown of sorts here in the uk I think I’ve always struggled to accept myself with my sight and hearing. My bf is a wheelchair user so he is much more accepting and doesn’t care what he says. He is more confident than me and is the type of person who would push me forward rather…

Hi.i read this last year I think and Have since sipped Into it again. I’m 39 now . I was with someone for years since I was about 17 to in my 30s. We were very different he was very quiet to my very emotional and bubbly. We got on well. Since then I have realised he is avoidant which may have been the issue with him. I very much wanted to live with get married etc but he didn’t want to at all really so that’s why we broke up. I still feel extreme guilt about it, like should I have just settled? …

This thread is great :) I would love some like minded women to chat with, I read the book not too long ago, but would be happy to read again. :)

With me, I was with him a lot of years and he just didn’t wanna commit or anything. I ended it with him. I feel terrible guilt still som. With me it’s teeth grinding at night and also awful sensitive skin stuff :/ I’m very excited to read the book :) What you wrote made lots of sense more than anything else I’ve come across as well. Same! I’m not religious or anything but genuinely love her and Jordan . They seem to have a great marriage and relationship I haven’t listened to much of the podcast but what I’ve listened to is great. Milena is so likeable and enthusiastic definitely not a push over by any means but still able to treat Jordan properly and him with her. He seems a nice man with good values. Milena seems so feminine yet not a push over. They are just great! Have you seen any of milenas mums videos. Susanna mandel…

Yes definitely. I think I do expect her to be different than she has proven to be. I’ve bent over backwards to be nice and she’s just some sort of lunatic. I thought maybe it would be better if I point it out to her, like this usually happens in the car when I can’t get out and she has a captive audience, which is exactly what my abusive dad used to do. So bf isnt seeing any of this. He will usually ask me how she’s been with me, I’m usually super calm if I have to say she’s been ranting etc. La…

No solution yet. I feel very anxious constantly about it all. I do keep feeling trampled definitely. I do wonder if I am maybe too quiet etc to really be dominant enough to take her on, I think having anxiety is making this worse I did used to be better at telling people when I needed to. I think I don’t feel safe to tell her she has no right to lay down the law with me as I don’t know where her boundaries are and I fear she will escalate. I already know she’s the shouty intimidating argumentati…

I’ve toyed with the idea of telling my bf not about rpw as such but about the things that resonate with me about it. I thought this was looked down upon to tell partner? How can a woman put it in such a way that it comes across well? I’m so glad OP posted this thread, it’s a question I’ve wanted to ask myself 🙂

I’m so glad to see this post! Was re reading Laura Doyle and about self care, making 2 lists. One with ten things you love to do for fun and ten things to make you feel good. Had me stumped! 5 things is easier to start me off. Thank you! I really started feeling that it must be something with me. I was always kind caring supportive very emotional vulnerable open with him . I definitely could of done better in some things I was definitely too clingy , I have trouble with anxiety and I don’t think I could really trust him , he was a closed book so that made me anxious a lot. I suspect he will go on to marry or commit to this one, I think he just didn’t have that emotional connection with me. You could be onto something …

Yes. It’s something I’ve worried about for years, he never seemed sure about me , I heard every reason why he didn’t want to or couldn’t live with me or marry me. 🙂

Thank you for the well thought out reply. Yes it’s helpful to get different perspectives as well definitely. I think sometimes it is a case of people just want different things. 🙂

Makes sense! It didn’t back then when I was with my ex,I think I always felt out of balance like the masculine and feminine were the wrong way round with us if that makes sense?

How to do this? And what solution? He does like to solve problems and help people and will come up with stuff on his own.

Thank you so much! I think I worry I'm the one making trouble as they're all ok with each other or so it seems? Like I'm the just no.
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 10:49 PM

Yes, I'm not trying to stop them. His mother does lots of the communicating as he doesn't really want to, so both women are pretty much the same. Kid is great , gets on with everyone, very chill.

I already have trouble with anxiety anyway and this crap doesn't help at all.
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 09:57 PM

Nah I'm not confident. Now we're arguing about her, always always about her. She's supposed be picking me up around 11 in morning but she has an appointment first, nothing important but it could be 11, half 11 or even after that and I just cannot be bothered to wait around for her goodness knows how long, so she can mess me about yet again. He just doesn't get it, he thinks I should just go along with whatever for her.

Yeah definitely. I’m not normally one for discussing stuff online or anything but been on here and justno subs. Feel awful but was getting nowhere trying with him about it.🙂
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 09:21 PM

Yeah he’s very open and straight forward but also very private, like doesn’t like me discuss stuff with anyone so I feel bad but can’t be bottling it all up🙂
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 09:12 PM

Yep these people sure do take every chance ! I feel awful talking about it, he’s very private .

I don’t think I’m the strong type, I’m quite quiet and far too nice! 😀
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 08:26 PM

Yeah I’m thinking he won’t appreciate it. I think he does feel anything I say about her makes him defensive like I’m attacking her. We are both way too soft though that’s for sure! Thank you for taking the time, any more tips? Im also glad someone knows what I’m going through. Been going on for ages now and everything I say is like I’m attacking her and as you say he’s been conditioned that way. I’m so glad your partner is doing so much better now as well. 🙂

Thank you. I really appreciate a man commenting actually! How do I do that? Not sure he would appreciate it, he and his mum are very close. No one minds that of course, that’s super good! He does try to tell her but she takes no notice at all! 😀

I will do, thank you. I think they just don’t get women sometimes you know?😂
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 06:33 PM

Definitely! It can be slog and I totally get what you mean about feeling uncomfortable watching them be awful to them I always wanted a lovely mother in law 😂
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 06:32 PM

Exactly! No wonder I feel all weird. I've told him I feel like I'm dating her and him, when I want to date just him, like they're not a package or something!
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 06:06 PM

Scary stuff! After I had my rant over text, which he prefers to talk face to face, when I saw him in person, I think he was more worried and stressed? I just don't want to be manipulated either as I've had that before with my dad n stuff.
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/19 06:04 PM

thank you. I will definitely read it :) I have read a few books, Laura Doyle etc. I've got halfway through that boundaries book. Any others I could do with reading? I think as someone just stated basically that I'm just too soft on boundaries. I'm probably fine on the submissive bit. In fact, he does respond when I'm vulnerable or cry, Im not crying to be manipulative at all, I am super emotional and try not to cry in front of him, but I burst out crying the other week about something silly abou…

We aren't religious so no church. He is more into self belief type stuff, Satanism not to be confused with devil worshippers or anything like that. He doesn't follow it closely but their beliefs are more about how you have the power within you and not any God type thing. I'm not religious, I'm more new age / witchy, one for astrology and all types of stuff like that and we seem to respect and encourage each other's beliefs. Whats darvo? So I would ask him what he would do if he were in my shoes? Also spot on about the boundaries thing. I'm so so soft on boundaries, had an abusive dad so I always worry people are going to escalate or be violent or even verbally nasty or lie.

How do you even ask if you’re being too submissive? He says I can say anything talk about anything but then when I try he’s doesn’t seem so sure .
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 09:49 PM

The one I struggle with most is if I have something to say. I never used to be like this with my ex I used to just say it. Here, I don’t get it or why I feel like this.

I’m not sure it’s that he doesn’t like it. I think past women have been too much this way and he’s probably a bit wary really.
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 07:17 PM
1

I’d say I’m smart and caring but wary on being opinionated because his mother is overly opinionated so I think it rubs him up the wrong way. 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 06:57 PM
2

I never thought of it that way before 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 06:17 PM

I might have read that at some point. I’ll definitely give it another read though. In my previous relationship I did say what I wanted and what expected and he did not marry me or want to even after years. Thank you 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 06:02 PM
2

In my own situation I’m the typical nice girl . Boyfriend has said he has dated bitchy women before but they were too much like his mother - I wonder if I’m too nice and too submissive for him? If you see what I mean? I think I look at his mother and his past relationships and think oh that’s what he likes and what he knows, maybe I’m not challenging enough for him 🙂

Yes this is my problem exactly! If I try to assert myself all hell breaks loose and the other person kicks off so I tend to just keep quiet

Probably a lot of truth in that!
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 05:04 PM
1

Oh interesting! Can you explain more? 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 05:02 PM
1

I’m not too sure. This is what I’m thinking about. I think it’s tondo with some false thing of appearing like they’re more valuable so men think they are in fact more valuable
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 05:02 PM
2

How do you mean work to be a bit more distant? 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 04:07 PM
3

Please explain some more. Do you mean they speak up on what they want? Or that they act like they are valuable?🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 03:45 PM
2

Thank you! I don’t understand it , I see it all the time. The girlfriends who act up and are bitchy with their men and the men follow them round lapping it up. Or the man with the awful mother but the worse she gets the more loyal he becomes. I’m a nice girl type of girlfriend and this has always baffled me! I think I could do with being more confident and speaking up more as I’m most likely too nice !
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 03:44 PM

I hope this post creates some good discussion I’ve thought about this for a while now. Yeah I’ve wonderful they are blue pill 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 03:41 PM
1

Very possible. First I’ve heard of the book so downloaded it to give it a try. I think people have recommended it on here as well I think it’s possible that they like women who seem bitchy because they seem valuable but also is it not better to be sweeter? As in you catch more flies with honey!
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 03:40 PM
2

What is the best way to ask him to handle it? 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 03:29 PM

I e asked at my usual salon and tried a few things. Think it’s time to speak to doctor. Had an ENT appointment last week as I’m a hearing aid user and he mentioned ear eczema which would make sense with the scalp stuff as well. I think he just wants me to keep quiet and not upset her which annoys me. I think he doesn’t want to focus on her but it’s hard not to! 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/19 02:04 PM
2

Yeah I try to keep out of it but she does target me and is rude and stuff, kicking off in his house about stupid things just generally over bearing really. So I’m not sure if it’s a mamas bit thing. Sometimes I have hope that he isn’t then she seems to have him wrapped round her little finger and I feel hopeless!

Thank you 🙂 I really apparently taking the time to take a look through my profile. I’m definitely anxious attachment made worse by my avoidant ex. However the book is being really helpful for me. So far I think I was the one down in my previous relationship. In my current there’s always been something a little off and I feel so guilty all the time, reading the book, it seems this is the first time I’m a one up and I don’t like it. That’s totally the problem and is giving me loads of anxiety. Suc…

I’d like some more things if possible . I think with my ex, while I’m not entirely sure, but my dads similar, hard to get to know, lies etc, same kind of thing. I don’t understand why I liked him so much, was so into him. He was an avoidant type and I had to work super hard all the time. My current does some of those things you mentioned- he is currently bulking up and working on his arms a bit which is great and I encourage. Definitely. I feel like , I can’t describe it very well. Like with my previous one he was always treating me badly , lying, being annoying, terrible at communicating so I always had to work really hard at chasing him like he was the girl so I was with him so many years that I’ve somehow associated all that with feeling in love or something. With my current of 3 years there doesn’t seem to be anything to really work out or work out his personality or anything too complex, like I don’t have to wor…

Had hormones tested couple years ago apparently was fine. Have just finished a cbt type thing I’m in the uk so it didn’t seem like it was a very high quality type thing really. I felt like I didn’t really have any coping skills to take away from it. The lady seemed to just wanna fob me off really get me through however many weeks. I’m hoping it’s more anxiety and just feeling exhausted and drained with it as I was fine in the beginning of the relationship.

Does anyone wanna buddy up with me? I have no female friends really to talk to about these things. 🙂 Im in a relationship 3 years and with this one I feel like I can’t quite find my balance if that makes sense? I just don’t think I’m a priority to him. Especially during the holidays when his son is over. I used to go over all the time in the beginning when he was there but now there’s always some excuse when his son is over. This could be coming from his mother, his ex etc but he is fine with it. I haven’t seen him since last S…

I do feel very much that it’s a lot to do with my own self confidence or lack of. Thank you for recognising that🙂 if there’s any advice confidence wise I would appreciate that so much. Also I’ve never had to deal with the mamas boy thing, it is making me ill. I have anxiety issues anyway and this isn’t helping at al . I do tend to look deep into things as per lack of confidence and anxiety tend to do that.

I think you’re right, I can only do what I’ve already done really which is speak to him about how I feel. He has said on his own that he will do anything to fix this situation as I am unsure as to whether the messages have been read. He has said of his own accord that he would ask her himself. This is encouraging . However as you pointed out I feel I don’t want to embarrass him or anything like that as well. It’s not his top love language but he definitely likes it and I’m not very good at it🙂 The other day we were talking via fb messenger and I said I loved him to the moon and back . Yes not every man is a leader but she might not know if he is or isn’t yet. See my post re feeling sad, mamas boy etc etc. That’s exactly what’s tricky for me. Mine has his own place, has a kid, has lived with someone before. I see the man that he is underneath. He has some great qualities. I love the male answer up above here, draw out the man underneath. How the heck do we do that?

I read this with interest and am also interested in the replies. I’m just like you and this is how it was with my ex. Honestly you sound lovely and are doing everything right sometimes it’s them. Sometimes I think some men are just like this, not the passionate kind. My ex certainly wasn’t and I put in all the effort. Awww I’m glad it worked out. These mothers are tricky. I honestly had no idea. My ex I hardly saw his mother but she seemed ok enough I had visions of a lovely mother in law lol. I’ve said I’d like to get along with her and she has little moments where she seems alright but ugggh the rest of the time. That’s it exactly I feel like I’m her competition and I feel really uncomfortable with that. Of course I know she’s his mother and I’m just the girlfriend at the moment and not to expect being numb…

Not very well. I’m currently doing cbt with a counsellor am in the uk, it doesn’t seem to be the right thing for me I don’t think. I’ve really been enjoying reading the various feminine books. I realise I don’t have any female friends, I would love that but it’s not easy for me to get out. Even something online would be great. He seems to love it , he often calls me wifey or similar 🙂 it’s nice for both as my ex was the type to run away at the mere mention of the m word

I use hubby and my dear a lot via text🙂 Not sure if he would like sir, I’ve used it jokingly before which seemed to get a good response

I often call him hubby via text, even though he isn’t yet. Babe is one that’s starting to come naturally. I just didn’t wanna end up with something cutesy that’s not really him

Oooh I didn’t know there was an ebook for the newer one, I’ll definitely give that a read ❤️

This is my long term relationship, sorry for not giving more detail. Not sure how to communicate effectively without it sounding like being demanding like I think he should pay type of thing. I can’t wait to read the book
/r/RedPillWomen02/03/19 07:46 PM

I’m definitely going to have to get this book! I’ve read the online secrets of fascinating womanhood, which I wasn’t sure was the right one? Also on providing id like to ask, this has always been an issue for me in relationships. Men don’t seem to want to provide or pay for anything. I feel bad because I think it’s me but maybe I’ve been going about it wrongly. An example would be for myself we both don’t drive so for him to pay cab fares and such?

Ahhhh I love this whole thread ❤️

That is so pretty ❤️ I love how unusual and quirky it is. I have a promise ring of sorts too, a pandora one which I always forget to wear ooops.

I’m the same! I’m in 30s but I would love some decent female friends who aren’t bitchy etc. I don’t really want male friends that seems like trouble. I feel like I’m nice and kind and introverted but chatty once get to know me but other women just end up being nasty people. Also I struggle with anxiety so that really doesn’t help. 🙂

Same. 🙂 One that I really loved - how we love by Milan and Kay yerkovich ❤️

Thank you 🙂 I’ve read the other book and enjoyed it it was really enlightening. He’s not much of a reader, he does enjoy audio and podcasts though

A masculine man 🙂 I worded it wrong on my thread title, but definitely a masculine man
/r/RedPillWomen20/02/19 12:33 PM

I keep hearing about him, I was just looking up his book on amazon for myself but wasn’t sure if his stuff was more for men?
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/19 08:44 PM

Did you say it was red pill? Or just like reading feminine books etc? I’m not sure how to word it 🙂 We have spoken before about alpha men and stuff like that when talking about his friends group.
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/19 06:28 PM

How did you introduce it? I’ve talked about masculine/feminine before type thing 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/19 05:42 PM

Oh it’s brilliant. I love it, a fave of mine ❤️ definitely a rpw feel. I don’t know if any more though?
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/19 05:01 PM

I’m not religious at all but I’ve always had respect and loved the church we were in and the sweet ladies. I’m in the uk and we have a wonderful tv series , call the midwife ❤️ it’s one of my faves. I love watching the relationships that has a rpw feel to it🙂
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/19 04:55 PM

Yes. I was at a funeral recently for a man who was catholic so it was his church. I found the church really beautiful and I enjoyed how the ladies were with each other who go there all the time. They seemed really feminine and a community with each other 🙂

I find myself reading in here a lot lately 🙂 I don’t really have any female friends, I find a lot are just too bitchy and too game playing for me to really be comfortable and I don’t trust well. I wish I had female friends in real life but online places would do, I can’t think of any forums other than here? 🙂 I really enjoy this sub ❤️

Mine will say about his boyfriend 😂. I think mine is way sensitive though I thought I was bad!
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/19 04:24 PM

Yes. I think I fall into a trap with him and his mother, that one really annoys him. She has too much control but that’s up to him. I think I wobble when I see her being smug when he is constantly loyal to her so she can say and do what she wants really, he has her back. He is loyal to me but I darent bring up anything about his mother because of fear he will automatically be loyal to her. Then I’d be unsure what to do. 😔
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/19 04:19 PM

Phew! I hope it’s better when you move, hopefully have your own trash can 👍

I’ve had this one as well. When his son comes over, I like to make choc brownies mix out of a box with him. He loves it, I get to bond with him. However someone always lets slip to mother in law that we are making them so then the little one makes a huge fuss about his grandma having a brownie which of course I wrap some up for him to take to her. Once he came back and told us she said they weren’t cooked right or too soft or something. We haven’t done them since 😔

See I don’t think I do it at all , I’m generally very careful what I say because I don’t wanna upset the other person! A little witty banter could be fun though🙂 I think you’re right though everyone does test everyone . I deffo watch closely to see if actions match words 🙂

This makes a lot of sense. Thank you 🙂 I don’t wish to change him or make him RP I think I couldn’t find the right wording. Wanting him to lead as you worded it is exactly what I meant🙂 Reaching his true potential is exactly it. I can see the man he is. He has commented before how I’m very different to previous exes, it sounds like they were more the shrew type. I think he likes that I’m more feminine and has commented on it before. We have had conversations about masculine and feminine, with us…

Thank you! I have both of those on kindle and will read again 👍 I have tried some bits from them quite successfully, to be honest they are more in line with my personality. I feel his biggest problem is his over the top overbearing mother. I know that’s his problem, on his page as the empowered wife book says 👍 She was ranting at me last week, I do not answer her or engage with her at all when she does this. When I arrived he asked how she had been , I said honestly she’s grumpy with me but I’m …

I think she had a long term partner they have a few kids. My boyfriend knows her dad well from years ago. She is recently single, not sure of reasons. I think she has got another boyfriend straight away. I am very wary of all this. I’ve not mentioned anything at all about it just been extra caring and attentive with him. I’m not sure how to handle, I don’t want to make a big thing of it, but I also don’t want to be stupid. Do I ask questions? He hasn’t mentioned her or her kids at all since. It …

She is seriously hard work. She came to pick me up to give me a lift , She tells him she doesn’t mind etc etc. She complained and moaned at me the whole way there about it etc etc. I kept my mouth shut let her rant on. I always say thank you for any lifts say it’s appreciated etc. Im always so polite to her and respectful and I get spoken to like that. When I went in he asked if she was ok with me, I said I don’t wish to complain but she was really grumpy with me and I’m sorry for complaining ab…

How to do that though? They are very close. I don’t wish to bring any trouble at all. She’s so different from my mother, mine is much more laid back and chilled and just easy to get in with. I think she likes being the number one woman which she is of course we aren’t married. He’s very loyal to her. I don’t understand the not acknowledging not saying thank you for gifts etc. My family don’t do it that way. Would you try again with that? I haven’t because I don’t want to put any pressure on her …

Nope. No more to the story. I think she’s very over protective of him and does a lot for him. He says she does like me. I’m very different to her she’s very loud and no filter and the not acknowledging presents etc. She puzzles me a lot.

This is of course true. I’ve had stuff like this before and I know can’t follow them around, watch what they do not what they say. My dad cheated a lot, supposedly helping friends.
/r/RedPillWomen08/02/19 05:18 PM

This is similar to what I would like but I’m unsure how to approach this with him. I see it as a gift to the other one and that’s lovely. But I’d like it to be similar to how you describe as I like the feeling of being treated and courted also. This is what I was trying to say in my post.
/r/RedPillWomen02/02/19 09:39 PM
1

Yeah it’s weird. She always catches me off guard too so I don’t say anything at the time. I honestly do not know whether to tell him or not. It’s weird
/r/RedPillWomen31/01/19 10:04 PM

It wasn’t something silly. It was something about him medical wise so not a silly thing. I wouldn’t mind if she was trying to bond but I hate secrets. I’m an honest person and me and him are honest and open with each other 🙂
/r/RedPillWomen31/01/19 09:14 PM

Anywhere specific to read up about shit tests etc? 🙂 I would love for him to learn about all this and me!! I’ve read mmsl before and various blogs I especially like the family alpha. I have noticed before in his friend group that he’s the one they all come to, look up to,ask advice etc🙂
/r/RedPillWomen31/01/19 04:52 PM
1

Yes I’ve wondered this. I Think this is possibly her way, I’m not sure 🙂 I’m surprise shares anything as according to boyfriend she’s a private person. She’s a tricky one to get to know as she’s completely different to me. I’m fairly quiet. Different to my own mother as well who is very friendly and chatty but much more chilled out. I honestly think I get a bit anxious around her as well and that makes me feel a bit wobbly and unsure
/r/RedPillWomen31/01/19 04:03 PM

I keep thinking should I even tell him at all? Not give it any importance at all.
/r/RedPillWomen30/01/19 08:31 PM

Thank you 🙂 I feel like I can’t even tell him what she’s said as it was about him .
/r/RedPillWomen30/01/19 03:56 PM

I was wondering how to approach it. I definitely do not want to cause any problems at all between them. I understand they are super close etc. However I do not want to keep secrets. That kind of stuff makes me ill. I was thinking of maybe mentioning something to him along the lines of I don’t wish to cause any problems at all between you and your mother but she keeps telling me secrets and I feel ill cos I can’t keep her secrets for her. I don’t want that for us where there are secrets. He knows…

Thank you 🙂 They are extremely close. I have told him things she’s said before just wanting to be open and honest, but just felt like I was causing trouble. I honestly do not want to cause anything at all Between then I just wish she would respect my time with him. I worry he will say she’s just being silly and brush it off, he adores her. I honestly do not know why she does this, the thing she told me I’m Totally stuck I feel I can’t tell him. So I’m stuck with it. She is very bossy and control…

There's a blue pill women's sub?! Must have a little read over there........ I myself had rather conservative parents and always was a good girl, this I felt always held me in high esteem compared to my friends who slept around. Not saying one is better than the other and each to their own of course :) I was always a relationship type of girl anyway.

Also, a one I have difficulty with, if he is ill, how do I handle that? Do i offer sympathy? I'm worried about going overboard and acting like his mother. Or do I let him know he's capable of handling himself?

We have been dating for just over a year :) Oh i never come between them and am very respectful of her. She and I are very different, I'm much quieter and gentler and softer. She seems very much in her masculine energy. I worry about him being a mama's boy, as she does seem to have a lot of say, even picking out things for his home. He does put her in her place quite a bit, which is a good sign of course :) Obviously I understand they have been relating this way for a long long time before I cam…

Nope, he hasn't given me reason to think that its not. I never interfere in anything with him and his mother, I respectfully sit back. I know that its a good thing that he loves his mother so much and that they seem to have a good relationship. I do suspect that he tells her everything about our relationship though, when i'm quite a private person. Can you elaborate on why its unreasonable for me to expect that right now? I'm really struggling with this one :( its not something i've come across …

I find I can bring him the problem and he will offer solutions as to how we can solve it, or he will say I'll sort it out. I seem to come into difficulty when its something really delicate, like how his mother treats him. I understand that him and his mothers relationship is nothing to do with me, and its up to him how he handles that. However I feel upset when it affects me and our relationship, and i know what its about, that I want to feel like our relationship is important to him, and that I…

This is very true :) I've thought of it that way before and it is something that bothers me as I feel they take advantage of him and he lets them . I realise this is up to him, and up to him to decide if and what he wants to do.

Thank you :) I've been looking at Laura Doyle's blog and looking to download Surrendered Wife on my kindle. :) Looking forward to reading both from women's and men's perspective. My boyfriend tells me I'm very caring and kind and feminine and that all his exes were loud and shouty and too bossy. He is also kind and caring and masculine, I feel he sometimes has trouble holding frame, not with me, but with his family. This is an issue i'm not sure how to address.
