The small momentsYou will have these thoughts as thats what you were used to. It just takes time. Time for your brain to rewire itself and get used to a new way of doing things with your new family (you and your kids). Trust me, after sometime, you wouldn't have it any other way. Give yourself time to grief the old life and embrace this new one. On the days you don't have the kids, work on yourself, get into new hobbies, gym, etc. The same way you got used to living that old life, you'll get used to living this … | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/05/26 10:07 PM

Dealing with post-divorce coercive control and parental alienationPut your children in therapy. If she threatens you with baseless claim (emotional abuse etc), you can have that therapist testify under oath. Let her know if she drags you to court, and she looses any court motions she will have to pay for your attorney fees. Have your attorney request for attorney fees. Document everything. Other than that, continue what you're doing. Everything else is just background noise. She wants to derail you and your new family. Dont give her any attention dude. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/01/26 10:40 PM
Altering child support, is it worth the fight? What state do you live in? Depending on the state, see if the state's child support enforcement agency can help you reduce child support on your behalf. Even if you dont pay through the state agency, like florida, you can take the divorce decree and have them enforce it, which also includes services like modification for both parties not just the payee. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/01/26 09:25 PM
Should I request Child Support? The disability check still counts as income subject for support (I was surprised by this as well). Im not taking her money. Thats their money, not mine. Both our our incomes go towards the kids well being. Plus, my spouse may make more money but suffers from mental health, bi polar, depression and anxiety and is unmedicated. The only reason i dont fight for more custody is because the kids still love her mom, but there's has been times her fitness as a parent has been in question | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/10/25 08:34 PM
Should I request Child Support? Its not about MY inability to be equal. I can make my own money to pay for my stuff. The CS is the childrens money. Plus, the only reason im even contemplating is because ive paid for the attorney and the divorce (she doesnt want to pay for anything). If she makes 10k a month and I make 3k. But she pays me 1k in CS, thats not even close to being equal even with 50/50. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/10/25 07:51 PM
Should I request Child Support?Because even with 50/50, due to the income disparity it would still award me with CS. Again, this is per my attorney, not me saying this. She would owe me close to 900 per month. Both incomes are combined and spilt. Unless i tell her to not disclose her finances etc and I look the other way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/10/25 07:35 PM
Should I request Child Support?I live in FL. My attorney told me that CS is for the children and for judge to decide, not up to the parents. If the CS was a minimal amount, the attorney can deviate to effectively make it zero. With her old job, she technically would not owe me anything. But with this new job she has, and since the divorce is still in the drafting phase, she would own me significantly more. Possibly 900 per month. The only way I can have her owe me nothing is that if I tell her not to include her new jobs inco… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/10/25 04:32 PM
Going through it pretty badYou got this king. You're stronger than you think. You were just fine before she came in your life, you'll be fine again without her. Your brain is going thru withdrawals. This too shall pass. Be thankful for what you have right now and enjoy the small victories | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/06/25 01:29 AM
