Free weight compound movement weights for 3 weeks, then 2 weeks where I was ill and could only do basic bodyweight work. I'd like to look 'big' rather than shredded and cut, but obviously don't want the excess fat making me look puffy. Estimated body weight ~18%, was 16% in January.

Never read anything more English in my life, you madman. Tone down the autism and you'll be fine.
/r/askTRP29/03/17 06:38 PM

Honestly? Use it as an experience to develop your knowledge through reading, learn a new language, and get stronger. Use what you've got at your disposal.

No problem propping yourself up against a wall/headboard, whatever. Keep the spine straight, try not to angle your chin downwards. Don't try so hard that your body becomes tense.

The simple fact is I struggle to get over myself and make connections with these people; I'm fine with my own tribe, it's when it's others that I start to slip.

My only reason for going to social gatherings is networking, building connections and that sort of thing. My future career is one that depends highly on making the right friends in the right places and participating in the terror that is social politics. This includes going to informal parties too.
/r/askTRP04/03/17 07:41 AM

Had a physical. Maybe therapist, if it stays on. I was just wondering if anyone had had similar experiences. I've been under therapy before, it's just never been conducive to my health.

Buddhist under traditional Buddhist instruction here. No, Buddhists did not remove themselves from the cycle of mating, otherwise they wouldn't have bred... If you mean monks, yes they did, just like christian monks. It's part of a life of asceticism. Doesn't mean you should do it. At higher Buddhist practice, monks can experience the full sexual range of feelings with no stimulation. You don't need to do that. You simply need to live a positive lifestyle; if you don't feel sex is particularly p…

Thank you for the response. The weird thing is, is sex is one of the few UNhappy things in my life. I enjoy my life. I work hard, I push myself, but I enjoy it. No porn, ever again. However, maybe after a full year without it I may be feeling even better. The issue at hand is, although sex is nice at the time, it makes me feel SO physically and mentally depressed that it really is the only truly bad aspect of my life.

Dude, you didn't suffer anything. You're unplugged, they're not. You're ahead of the curve. Don't see yourself as a victim and you won't become a victim
/r/TheRedPill28/02/17 11:08 PM

Normal vitamin D, healthy testosterone. Exercise 4-5 times a week (mostly free weights), no smoking, no alcohol, no other drugs. The depression only occurs in the days after having sex.

It's horrible to read this comment knowing how true it is, but most of us here will have felt it. Your life is down to you, OP, and you're the one controlling it (or are you?) and we can't do anything but be here for when it falls down. If you're going to keep the relationship going, for the love of God start working on yourself and living a general self-improvement orientated lifestyle.

'I can't help how I react emotionally to certain things' Bullshit, this is fully untrue. You can always have influence on your emotional reactions. Lift weights like a God, eat like a God, read, definitely make some guy friends, and become the person you're meant to be

You've got some good chances for making up a cool/humorous story. Have fun with it. Very importantly: if you get shit for it, absolutely laugh it off, find a way to agree and amplify, just don't show them you're offended. There's a lot of fun you can have with this kind of thing

Assuming you wanna keep these friends (you could drop them and find people more suited to your lifestyle), all you can do is to chill. Seriously, just chill. They offer you something, you say nah and laugh it off if they call you out. They show jealousy because of your improvement? Laugh. They get mad at you cuz of that? Laugh. If you are close friends they'll get over it, the same thing happened with my mates. When I got mad at them or went off to sulk, it was bad. When I laughed it all off and…

Learn a lot about lifting and healthy eating...then eat and lift healthy. Stay clean, work on school/career, read about psychology, society, etc, lift some more, learn some skills (instrument, language, craft, whatever).

1) keep doing what you're doing, work hard 2) make sure you can discuss logistics in Chinese comfortably 3) fuck
/r/askTRP05/02/17 07:12 AM
1

You say this, but there's a significant level of logistics and a VERY high level of nuance in Chinese culture that a westerner could struggle with.
/r/askTRP05/02/17 07:11 AM

Lots of Indian men in England are from high class families so they don't struggle too much. Even if they don't have the chance for going out and gaming/plating, they pretty much have a guaranteed pool of women to choose from (or for their parents to choose from). Poorer men may struggle, but it still doesn't seem to be as difficult as it is in the USA, I'd say Indian/south Asian culture is a lot more accepted here.
/r/askTRP05/02/17 07:10 AM
1

First you need to accept that emotions are natural. They are there to keep us alive, and no amount of Zen or Stoicism will remove those emotions. The ONLY thing that matters is HOW you deal with them. Men aren't more emotional now than they were 100 years ago, or 1000 years ago. They've just been taught to deal with those emotions differently. You have to accept this before you can work towards any level of stoicism. Emotions keep you alive, and without them you couldn't lead a fulfilling life. …

/r/askTRP05/02/17 06:56 AM

Just some advice for a young one like me...I ended up building this reputation of 'manwhore' amongst my friends, which also slides over into the communities of girls I know, and although I don't struggle much, am I really meant to be defending myself here? I feel like if I go too far I will lose respect and/or integrity...sex in general is very new to me (literally only started a month ago)
/r/askTRP01/02/17 07:26 PM

The thing that's confusing me is I do feel some sense of abundance (more than in the past). I don't have much trouble getting what I want sex wise, so I'm still not sure where the jealousy stems from

I'm only 17 but I've learnt a whole lot in the last year (with a lot more to learn). You'll just come off as a massive cunt. Don't bother. ~ your grades are the most important. Don't go for STEM if you hate it. First time I've even been called a red piller. Feels pretty good man. I've still got loads to learn though.
/r/TheRedPill21/01/17 07:56 AM

Stop fucking complaining, posting on the red pill won't change anything. Get your life together, study, lift, eat well, sleep. Focus on these before women; healthy living will always be more important than sex. Tell a woman some bullshit career if you need to but you're better off just working instead of sitting pathetically on your ass. TRP is here to help you, advise you, and give you guidance. It's evident you haven't read the sidebar, so read it. Stop complaining and do.

'They're people' would be my answer. You don't have to give a shit, but unless you wanna become a pariah/get arrested you have to have some general decency. Treat them like slightly older kids (pre-teen type)
/r/askTRP06/01/17 08:49 PM

My main personality issue is probably my reservedness, I don't have social anxiety, nor am I shy, but I really struggle building the motivation to speak to people when it's important. I could easily be content spending weeks doing my own thing and letting the world pass by me in a trance.

really struggle with comfort game too. Not quite sure how to fix it.
/r/askTRP06/01/17 06:44 PM

This is my way of interpreting RP but everyone here is somewhat different. The way I see it, you do not need to go out and actively search for social circles and friends, you don't need to be going to parties every night and events every afternoon. It's not about that. It's about developing your skills so that when you ARE in a social position, you ARE able to act in a charming, confident way that can draw attention if need be. And, the best way to do this is spending time in social situations. …

(im in the UK too) It's actually crazy. I support adults making their own decisions but it's sick with children. Not to mention the fact that the majority (statistics aren't great, the general idea is 65-85%) of sex transitions are Male to Female. I can't help but think this could be correlated to the growing aversion and demonisation of masculinity.

Don't care what people identify as, what they do, who they like, I'm bisexual myself, but I do firmly believe it shouldn't have such an involvement in the workplace, politics. It just doesn't matter. I actually believe progressiveness harms vulnerable people in certain communities. Identity politics and political correctness are at the heart of the problem.
/r/TheRedPill04/01/17 06:31 PM

I do agree with the rest of your comment though.
/r/TheRedPill04/01/17 06:28 PM

I support the (real) transgender community; but sexual reassignment surgery is indisputably not the best way to treat this right now. Those who go through a transition are just as likely (if not more) to kill themselves, and continue to suffer just as much discrimination afterwards.
/r/TheRedPill04/01/17 06:27 PM

There is no activity that will make you 'more alpha'. There are things that will help (lifting being the main one) but alpha is very much a mindset. I'm working towards the same goal. Making new connections and friends isn't a bad idea (ie joining a club for a hobby/sport/martial art), learn to meditate, and read.
/r/askTRP04/01/17 09:38 AM

I honestly think you have an ego issue. Confidence is not caring whether people know how 'great socially and educationally'. You're right, it's a pain in the ass, but check that ego
/r/TheRedPill02/01/17 03:36 PM

I'm in England so it's probably not as disastrous here, but it can't be that difficult to ignore it all. Rule 38 if you can't ignore it. It's a pain in the ass, but it'll be there whether you like it or not. Apply stoicism, don't get mad at what is out of your control. If you feel that there's something in your control that can change what bothers you, enact that change.

I suppose I should clarify my meaning of ego. The culture I am around identifies 'ego' as the belief that you, as an individual, have more importance than others simply because you are you. This is where suffering finds its way in. I hope that clarifies my point; it is definitely a lot more difficult to get these messages across over the Internet.

If you don't have a strong ego in the first place, you won't feel anything from rejection. You need to develop the understanding that "" "you""" don't matter any more or less than anyone else. I'm a calmer person. Less resent, less confusion, I feel like my views have lined up with my personality. Stronger from going to the gym, better at touching girls, much more success in being dominant (physically and socially). I waste less time doing stupid shit.

INTJ too (though I don't like to pay attention to it) Anything you've found that's been quite specific to you in relationship and TRP in general? Regarding the INTJ type. I'm interested.

Thank you for the response, I'll take this all into account. On quite a few occasions recently, she's straight up said she feels like I don't give a shit about her, or that she likes me more than I like her, lots of comfort tests. I haven't overloaded the dread, I think it's simply my improved confidence/self-assuredness. What's a good way to respond to comfort tests along the lines of 'you don't like me' 'I'm worried you don't like me', 'you don't even give a shit

Sparkling water you can drink just as much as normal water. It has no more calories. Keep yourself on a good protein intake, lean meat!! Also; don't completely exclude fiction books. They're not 'productive' in the same manner as non-fiction, but they have significant uses if you're reading the right ones.

Traditionally, the left was the symbol of labour and rights for the (hardworking) workers. It's only in the past few decades that it was been warped into what it is now. Unfortunately it's being dug into a deeper hole day by day.

She wants your penis inside of her. I'd say just put it in her all the way next time, but that's difficult due to rape cases being blown out of proportion and such. Try and get some tangible proof of consent (which I doubt you'll manage with this girl). She's got a giant hamster up there and you need to push through it, but it's a tricky situation to handle. Best of luck.

Don't actively do anything to make other people suffer or feel pain. If you need to do something for YOURSELF, and it happens to inconvenience other people, do it. You need to do what you need to do. Other than that, just don't go out of your way to hurt someone. There is no part of TRP that says you should be hurting other people for the sake of it.

If it's sucking the energy out of you, you're putting too much into it. Either 'increase' your energy reserves or put less into it. Some women are boring, some or not. One can be completely ethically sound and follow The Red Pill. TRP is a mechanism for self improvement, with the added aim of being better with women. The 'selfishness' preached by TRP is not intrinsically wrong. Putting yourself first is not intrinsically wrong. The only thing that can make these things wrong is acting in such a way that you are harming other people arbitrarily.

Brilliant, I'm already on track with the diet. One last question (promise I'm done now), what length should a medium-heavy workout actually be? I can never really tell how long certain things should be taking, I see guys going in for 20 minutes, other times I see them there for 2 hours
/r/askTRP14/12/16 06:43 AM

Most likely a stupid question, but I'm new to lifting. What about swimming after a workout? Is it completely a bad idea? (bear in mind I'm aiming to lose the fat around my gut and gain muscle in my arms/shoulders/chest)

Just pointing out, although these are definitely excuses, some people legitimately have no access. He's evidently not from the states or united kingdom, and in some places it's practically impossible to access a gym. Mate, you don't need to like any of those things to be red pill. You can be an emotional person. You can like what you want. What you need to learn to do is LEARN to co-operate with your emotions in such a way that they benefit you and support your life goal. Liking cars and sports has nothing to do with being Red Pill or Alpha. Working out however, is a step you should take in self improvement, regardless of your interest in it. Will do all of this. I already sleep 8-9 hours a night, no drugs, smoking, alcohol. The hardest is working energy up to exercise. I was doing an hour a day not long ago, now I can barely cope with ten minutes, it's as if I'm physically weaker.

The reframing one I've been doing for a while, it's very helpful. I've built up a lot of self confidence recently but perhaps the biggest issues are fear of sexual failure (just got into first relationship) and feeling too 'fat', however I am doing 6 days of workout a week.

100%. I live in the UK, I'm still in mandatory schooling and I've had teachers tell me to stop reading ahead in my courses. This is definitely worsened by social media. We're all guilty of neglecting reading to some extent, and it's definitely becoming easy to get stuck in 'comfortable' fiction.

What about if you're in an established relationship with someone? If you can see someone almost every day you have the opportunity to constantly be touching her, bringing her into your frame etc
/r/askTRP24/11/16 06:32 AM

I can only talk from personal experience here, if your accent is relatively tolerable (not southern) and you have a deep voice, girls in England would definitely like that. I grew up around girls and know that a lot of them have a 'wild rugged American stranger whisks me away' type fantasy.
/r/askTRP23/11/16 06:33 AM

Thank you very much. She does indeed love the rugged yet quiet teenage alpha (which I seem to be doing well), she's also totally inexperienced so I'm not too worried. This helps a lot.

Thank you for the direct advice. I've been solidly working out and eating well, it's just a slow process. I was at 22% body fat last year, I'm now just under 17%, but my torso is my serious problem area. Thank you.
/r/askTRP22/11/16 07:10 PM

I think I'd rather be behind her ;) Would you recommend a spontaneous first sight kiss kind of thing? Just to show that my intention for the interaction is physical (rather than waiting 10+ mins just to kiss

My favourite is 'IT'. I also loved Misery, Thinner, The Shining, Pet Sematary, and the Dark Tower series. Honestly, it's difficult to find a 'bad' Stephen King book.

I'd add politics to the university thing. It clears the pathway hugely if you have a degree in say, international relations, law, blahblahblah
/r/askTRP18/11/16 06:23 AM

It's never had a huge effect on me; lots of girls have called me cute and tease me about being babyish, but after I changed my body shape and got a different haircut, it wasn't so bad. Different haircuts can make a huge difference! Plus, having a very deep voice (for my age) helps.

I'm white, in a majority Pakistani/Indian community. I wear a uniform like everyone else. I understand that people are racist, deal with it, and will be motivated to get where I want regardless.
/r/askTRP14/11/16 07:16 PM
3

You have to look at context. I get race related comments every 2-3 days I'd say, and I'm not even black. Some people will receive lots, some will receive little. I think the most important thing is to not develop it into a 'poor me, I'm a victim of racism' complex, and fully ignore it.

Thank you for the advice. My main concern here is that I've never dealt with a girl (and the shit tests that come along with it) in a sexually tense setting. I'm young, and very new to this.
/r/askTRP14/11/16 06:22 PM
1

Yep, just looking for a short thing. Issue is, I've literally never dealt with girls/shit tests on this level before, I've had silly middle school relationship type things, but this is my first time with sex on the table with someone.
/r/askTRP14/11/16 06:21 PM
1

I'd assume yes, unless they've shown very obvious signs of disinterest in other areas of interaction.
/r/askTRP14/11/16 06:15 PM
5

Yep, made the crusade mistake a few times. I'm still struggling not to, but I realised that TRP is something to be kept inside my head and in my actions, not words.
/r/askTRP14/11/16 06:14 PM
5

I've had a few slightly similar things, never had someone spit on me. I've had comments about other aspects of me too (hair, mouth etc) and seriously, things helped so much once I started ignoring it. Literally, totally ignoring people is what helped me the most. I understand you can't ignore someone if they're beating the hell out of you, but for petty verbal abuse, not engaging at all works best for me. Engaging makes it seem like you're bothered by it.
/r/askTRP14/11/16 06:13 PM

Although people will say it's safe to start off the bad, you may find yourself pulling a LOT of muscles as you start, however this depends on the style itself. I highly recommend you start flexibility based exercises to prevent injury, something quite common in early stages.

5'11, 155lb, I was 180lb before the problems. I've somehow ended with massive shoulders and decent pecs, massive legs, but I've a pretty chubby torso and pretty shit arms (for their potentia). I still seem to be ahead of a lot of the boys my age (changing rooms are my main way of telling). Now I'm looking to sort out the torso fat, and fix up my diet.
/r/askTRP11/11/16 04:21 PM

Really needed to hear something like this. To build on that, is there any advice you could give in regards to dealing with the social pressures in HS? I'm in the UK, some things are different, but it's difficult being in the epitome of a 'blue pill' community (it's soul-crushing) and in the middle ground. I lift a bit, work on my emotional being and frame, but sometimes it feels futile. Being 16 is not the easiest right now.
