It was a whole email of dating profiles, with money being spent on porn (when money was tight), it was all the people he was talking too and pictures of himself he sent that upset my mum. I was 10 when I discovered this, but it wasn't the porn that my mum was upset about, it was the dating profiles, sending pictures of himself to people, what he said to people and money being spent on porn/dating. I wasn't really shown what went on as it wasn't appropriate at the time.

It depends on the person. I have a few acquaintances who are fiends, and they're always trying to bring me back into it all. These are the people you can't be friends with, because they see you as money or drugs. I agree you can't be friends with an addict, but you can be friends with a casual user. As for doing drugs, personally it wasn't worth it. Invest that time into something useful, but each to their own.

For me it was over a year, I use to smoke about 3-4 grams of grade a day for about a year (give or take). Things do go back to normal, helps if you don't do any other drugs in between (drinking and smoking tobacco included). Made me appreciate my relationships with people and opportunities I took for granted beforehand.

Yeah I get you, plus it depends on the type of drug too. I was smoking weed heavily for about a few months as emotional protection and decided to quit straight up. Problem I find with doing drugs is for the next few days I indirectly allow myself to do it, but regret it after. So one drink turns into two, and after you've had two you might as well just get plastered and start fresh tomorrow.
