Today is the last day at my current job. I'm sad to leave but excited for the next step in my journy. Unfortunetly I have less than 2 weeks to pack, move, and get settled in a new state before my new job starts. Wish me luck!

I've been afk a lot for the past few weeks, and will probably not be back for a least a few more. We've added a couple of new mods to pick up the slack, however please be patient as we try to catch up with the report queue. For extreme rule breaking and TOS violations, you should message the mods directly for the highest chance of response.
That would actually be better than what it actually is, which is adults that are obsessed with Disney properties and like, get Micky Mouse tattoos or dress up as Disney princesses just cause.
I'm starting to do a rewatch of the old Disney show, Once Upon a Time since it's on Hulu now. Anyone who knows me even the slightest bit can tell you I'm not a fan of Disney and absolutely loath "Disney adults". But goddamn if this show isn't great. I'm not going to say it's for everyone, it's no Game of Thrones. But it's really good at what it does. Taking classic characters, and remixing them into modern situations while still applying the original themes. Why did they need to update the live …
https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/161h18k/the\_disconnect\_in\_what\_do\_you\_bring\_to\_the\_table/ In that post you don't prove that its acceptable to ask men what they bring to the table. Providing evidence of men being providers is not the same as flat out asking the question. You also do not prove that asking the question to women is seen as any more inflammatory as asking the question to men.

"Society" doesn't value looks. Individuals within a society value looks, because it's pleasing to the eye. Like art and nature. It's utility and purpose is to bring joy.
We have specific criteria for what we consider incel content. If your comment fits the criteria we consider it incel content, regardless of who the comment is coming from (yes, women can post incel content too). The criteria is 2 out of 3 of the following: 1) Lookism/heightism, 2) Fatalism/Woe is me, 3) Incel jaron, memes, links, chad worship, ect ect. Any further questions should go to modmail.
You can recognize high quality comments and posts with an upvote. Being civil just means not insulting people. Any further questions should go to modmail.
TBF since incel content has been banned here, the blackpillers have evolved due to selection pressures lol. They used to be much more distinct, but now they just take RP flair and coat their views in red paint. The death of the TRP sub has also made it difficult, as few even remember what they were about, PPD is a much more generalized dating strategy sub now because of it. We can't exactly blame people for not knowing the basics of TRP. Ideally, yeah, people would know, but alas, we work with w…
An evasion sub would be if we were discussing PPD topics over there and continuing to debate. But debating sex, dating, relationships ect is strictly prohibited on that subreddit. Its soley for meta discussion and updates about this sub.
You don't address any of the arguments in the OP. Its just a bunch of meta commentary and personal attack on OP. Any further questions should go to modmail.
I mean cool, but I'm not saying you have to be devastated. Great if your not. However, generally speaking, women are generally pretty hurt by miscarriages. Hell, when my embryo transfer didn't stick, I literally collapsed in the middle of the sidewalk in broad daylight and cried. Most of the women I know who had miscarriages reacted similarly. I'm sure exceptions exist, however, I think it's silly to deny that women don't feel attached to their unborn children.
Men: Feminism never pushes for women to join the shit tier careers! Women: Join shit tier careers. Men: No, not like that! https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/15kjatz/female_mechanic_opens_her_own_garage_to_make/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1
In that case, it would be okay. Since they are repeating the terminology you used. But if you just said your GF was tradcon, and somone came in calling her a pick-me, that would also be uncivil.
How do you think she wins anyway? IMO, she learns to adjust her expectations of herself from perfection to something more realist. She is self improving, because by accepting her own shortcomings, she can accept other's as well. Which is how she resolves her issues with Ken at the end.
Lowering test scores and canceling AP classes is only going to affect the mediocre people that don't need to be more than drones (and I say this as a drone). The truly gifted people will continue to rise to the top regardless of where the middle is. America is the place where individuals can win, not blobs of drones.
Barbie didn't destroy her own world. She was the only one being affected by the Mom. In fact, she puts a great amount of effort into trying to preserve the way things are, which ultimately fails. In the end she does not have it all, in fact, her whole arc is to let go of the idea of being perfect. In the end she still has flat feet, cellulite, and bad breath - because she's human. But she still has no skills, no job, and a ticking clock... I have no idea how you could come to the conclusion that…

Yeah, there's definitely contradictions in the movie, but I think that was an artistic choice. There's many times where the narrator or a character will say one thing, but the events play out differently. People who only pay attention to what's being said will have a very different interpretation of the movie than those who watch what is happening. And those who try to figure out why the two aren't lining up will have a different interpretation altogether.
I think I just realized why many men can't see that Barbie is actually critical of feminism, it's because they are expecting to see a critique of the way feminism sees men. However, the movie does not really touch that topic. Instead it critiques feminism's pressure on women to be idealized ambassadors of women, and to "have it all".
Shit yeah you did on Friday afternoon and I flagged it, but I can't do much until I'm at a PC which won't be until I'm at work on Monday. There's a small chance another mod will get to it before then, but it's probably just gonna have to wait until then.
Your not the first physics guy I've heard this complaint from! Luckily I miss most of the crazies in my corner of biomed research, but while I was in school one of the internships I did was with a PI that studied MRIs of various religious people. Now, he was a crazy magnet 🧲
What do you mean lol? I mean it's funny watching you dodge questions from actual experts in the fields you claim to be involved with. Do you want me to sit down and do the math? Yes. Despite me already proving the efficiency with respect to the biology that I'm talking about? All you said was some vague word salad gibberish. What you're saying makes no sense. 🪞
Because you are fixated on a specific topic that is not relevant to PPD at all. As we have already discussed in modmail. Almost everyone comes up with stupid ideas from time to time on the daily chat thread, but they don't obsess over them. This is not the place to indulge your fantasy.
Well he does technically own his own company, so I guess it's more middle class. But it's definitely bluecollar work. Trust me, restaurants mark up those oysters quite a bit.
A couple of weeks ago I started a new playthrough of Stardew Valley, I couldn't think of a character name... So I went with Jannie. I've also started naming some of the animals/pets after people from PPD. Your challenge is to guess who is which animal...
But for the men or the women ? for the man i agree completely. But for the woman more money would always be better. For the women. More money is always better, duh. But roughly the same amount of money is all that's needed to make most women satisfied. But they wouldn't sleep with more than 1% of those matches. Mean while the matches I get would all be satisfying for me. Well when relaxed and on vacation, I bet that number jumps from 1% to 10% at least.
Can you clarify what you mean here ? Are you saying that women want a whole lot more than money? No, women want men who earn roughly the same, or a little more. Which most men do here in the US. After that point, money has diminishing returns for the majority of women. In my shoes, (and i did a post on this once), i get 10X the amount of tinder matches in Singapore and Taiwan, that I do in the USA. But comparatively, where can women get a major advantage that they do not have at home like that? …
For a relationship women only date men who earn at least as much as they do. That's well established. Yup, which America has in spades. If that's all women wanted, the men wouldn't be leaving. Yes but whether or not they are advantageous to a relationship, i don't see how. I'm not sure what you mean by this?
"Likes to travel" is definitely a red flag for lots of guys because of the assumption that women are banging hot local guys. Your wrong in your assumption that women are only looking for taller richer men as well. American women don't need rich men, that's been established, which is why these men with money end up having to go abroad. Women are looking for excitement and fun, something in ample supply when on vacation, largely due to her circumstances, being freed from her responsibilities. If a…
My number is based on a conglomeration of studies I've seen over the years. Most lean between 4-6 partners for women, but it's pretty well documented that women lie up to 40% on these so I tacked on an extra 2 lol just to be generous. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nsfg/key_statistics/n-keystat.htm
I stand corrected. The number of egalitarian marriages is at an all time high and still increasing, but still represent a minority of cases. However, I'm sure if we excluded boomers, that would no longer be the case.
Are you referring to the parental rights/duties? I was specifically referring to needing to go to court to handle Trans-shit sinced thats all crazy. Because women almost always get custody of the child, as well as lofty child-support. Actually, custody is almost always split 50/50 and when the fathers actually go to court for a bigger split, they end up winning most of the time. Child support is also definetly not loftly, with an average montly payment being less than $500. Moreover, you are…
I don't presume that most men desire me now. I move through the world assuming I'm an NPC to others and act accordingly. Most often, I am correct. On the rare exception, I am pleasantly surprised.
I don't think the article is saying women can't feel that way, just that they process and deal with those feelings in different ways. Women don't turn to the patriarchy when they are rejected by their men.
Men do not get parental rights, just parental duties; once the woman get custody the kid is at her will, you have to go to court just so your kid don't take life altering hormones. The same applies to women. Last name is just a name is useless in any metric possible. Most men don't agree. No LOL, you become stable because it makes life easier. Having a wife does make life easier. Men are the ones dying early, everything related to health benefit the woman far more than benefit the men. They due …
All those only benefit women: Kids - you don't need to be married to have. They benefit men if men want A) ownership - you get way more parental rights as a married man than a single man. Not to mention the last name situation. And B) he wants them to have the best possible chances for a positive outcome. Stability - women will not pick a men without stability to marry so by default the men already have it so the only outcome possible is the loss of stability. Disagree, men only become stable wh…
I agree, there's no point in getting married... For sex. You can have as much sex as you want outside of marriage. Go for it. However, there are plenty of non-sexual reasons to get married. Kids, stability, benefits, family, status, love, ect. If your only reason to get married is for sex, I'd say your marriage is doomed from the start.
An interesting article on the psychology of Ken.. Although I haven't seen the movie yet, the article mentioned a few reactions that Ken has which sound very familiar to the reactions I see from a lot of men here. Namely, turning to the patriarchy when experiencing neglect from women and turning very real emotions of existential loneliness into horniness. Based on the article, it doesn't sound like the movie is villainizing those valid emotions and instead follows Ken's character development as l…
Oh I just made a comment about this. I think it's the new incel dog whistle that everyone is using to bypass the filters. I'm wondering if I should crack down on it.
I was on the fence about approving that one, but it got waaaaayyy more engagement than I predicted. Most of it was pretty solid analysis too. PPD surprised me that day.
Here is an example I saw irl: dude in my group (let's call him R) was trying to meet women on OLD as we were coming out of COVID lockdown. He suggested to one girl to meet up irl, but she declined and said she'd be more comfortable with a zoom call. R wasn't thrilled by the idea cause he thinks he comes off better irl. Things didn't go well with the girl and he moved on to the next one. For her, he offered to meet irl or zoom, despite still not liking zoom at all. In this case, being nice and of…
You are clearly making an argument against redpill women. You are allowed to do this, but you need to present your ideas in a CMV with an affirmative claim in the title and supporting evidence in the body of your post.
Except everyone has "bad boy" tendencies. They just get amplified by a bad break up. Even in this simple children's story about good and evil they still make the distinction between good guys who happen to be jerks and actual evil characters.
The same thing is happening live right now What do you mean? Snape is way more popular than James in every sense. By telling a prophecy? Yeah. Snape was nothing more than a friend to her, definitely not a romantic option. She didn't even become friends with Potter, she skipped straight to the relationship. What's wrong with that?
Written by a woman So? Why is that more compelling than what non-fictional characters are doing? Are you talking about him knowing the prophecy and begging for Lily to be spared? Even though Voldemort would have discovered it anyways? No, I'm talking about him putting a hit on the family because he was jealous. The issue is women are too focused on virtue signaling and trying to look good instead of being honest. A guy will tell you he wants his woman to look good. A woman will tell you she want…
Except Lilly is a fictional character, and meanwhile in the real world thousands of women are fangirling over Snape. I have not seen anything even resembling a JamesPotterWives club. Like Snape. Who died trying to protect the child that his school bully skeeted inside of the woman he was in love with. LOL after he tried to get them all killed. But it's all pretty irrelevant as women are once again damned if they do, damned if they don't. If women love James Potter it's because they are all shall…
I've been saying we need a PPDating, idk about an app though. Doxxing might be an issue too. Despite all that, PPD already has like, 3 or 4 couples to claim so there's definitely potential here.
Just because a woman (even a self proclaimed feminist) does something, doesn't make it a part feminism though. Just because feminism has a certain ideal, doesn't mean that all feminists live up to it.
Many homosexuals have lived hetero lives to get what they want throughout history and today. If you think I'm telling hetero to just go be gay, you've misunderstood my point. My point is that hetero men are seeking something different than hetero women, there is no reason to believe they are equivalents. Women are not even hetero in the way men are hetero and that the way women feel about sex with men they are not attracted to is very similar to the way hetero men feel about sex with other men.
Individuals are generally not dismissed. And what I mean by that is that an individual man who is struggling can usually find support among his friends, family, church, ect. That support may not come in the form of easy sex from women, but he would be listened to and sympathized with. However "men who struggle", as an entity, is difficult to sympathize with when their issues can only be solved by forcing other individuals to solve the problem for them.
Men can do all of those things as well and have as much causal sex as they want - with other men. To me this seems perfectly fair and equal. Because women having sex with men is not the equivalent of men having sex with women. Men having sex with men is the same as women having sex with men. Homosexuality is legal, and in most places perfectly socially acceptable. Though granted, there are some places where homosexuals are still treated hostility. True equality would be focused on those places.
I'm pretty sure feminists are anti-marriage altogether, so engagement rings are covered by that. They also are anti-letting men pay for dates because that puts women in a vulnerable position.
