The best answer I can give you: you're not present. You may have seen The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle mentioned in this sub and by some PUA groups. The reason it's regarded so highly is because it revolves around meditation - the art of being present. Being present is a skill that lets you control the flow of your thoughts. It requires being aware of your mind and when it loses itself to its thoughts. It's no surprise that your mind is trying to picture the girl you're dating because it's a Sa…

It doesn't always happen, and it doesn't always happen immediately. You'd have gathered from the other replies that girls might start wondering if you were their friend just to have sex. If you can calibrate to really show your urges won't get in the way, you'll have a better chance of not losing their friendship. But if you do lose it, it's important to just let go. Let me give you an analogy (inspired by the one in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mH9Sz65Qjwk). Imagine going to a mal…

The deal with turning standard friendships into physical friendship revolves around two main concepts. The first, you must change yourself to be the sexual guy. This means you have to show that you yourself are sexually liberal, that you understand that people have human desires for sex and that it isn't necessarily tied to being in a relationship. You are the guy who isn't afraid about talking about sex. You're the guy who isn't afraid of being physical with a girl (friendly or sexually). This …

Charisma makes you sociable. Sociability makes you valuable. Value makes you attractive. Attraction is the base of seduction

I know the UK culture has a lot of banter when someone "fails" and that guys have this "lads" attitude but, for what it's worth, you approaching a girl and getting rejected is already much better than not approaching at all. Don't let your friends discourage you and if it doesn't work excuse yourself for a few to go to another place (e.g. smoking area) to approach girls!

Exactly you got it. Practice, practice, practice!
/r/seduction27/12/17 11:13 PM

If you believe in what you do and really love it (or at least can fake it enough to seem like you do), with practice on how to speak you will be able to turn the few things you love into the most interesting conversation topics. RSD Max has infield footage where part of his conversation with a group of girls he is telling them about a Viking heavy metal band. Be sure to check your nonverbal cues and the rest of the flirting and whatever (the content of) you say would be almost pointless. Also li…

Are you in the same social circle as them? Would you put in the work to become socially related? Would you be comfortable with them not wanting to hang out with you and keep being coworkers?? Hanging out as buddies outside work can make you break apart the co-workers boundary and have other places where to talk with them. But be careful about your workplace dating policy, if it's a no-go you can really risk a lot.
/r/seduction27/12/17 07:54 PM

This is a bit meta but I've noticed you've posted a few times with the two voices concept and with low cost activities you suggest for guys wanting to expand their Social circle. I personally got started with the social partner activities and meetup app and they really help getting me closer to other people to socialize, so I find this kind of advice very useful. Have you thought about making a short post about these two (or one each) and link it on the side bar?

Or the sub regulars should instead take over posting. I'm just as guilty as everyone here, having been in the sub for some time and not actively posting content Reflecting on "old time seddit" I remember quite a lot of FRs posted, which overshadowed the posts OP is talking about. I guess we should document more of our interactions and write FRs ... New years resolution, ha!

Avoid sugar, packaged drinks and alcohol like the plague. And try not to get food packed in tins or plastics, they have BPA which can increase your oestrogen (female hormone that we don't have much use for, basically). If you can home cook your meals you'll be able to control better the ingredients, macro groups and calories you're eating. Balance your proteins, vegetables and whole grains. I've seen in many places a recommendation of 3:1 carbs to protein. Protein helps your testosterone levels …

Thanks, that's helpful. What I've learned from it is that people tend to assume I'm interested in them for something serious (or not interested at all and just dismiss it as "he's just flirty), so if I don't have intentions for getting serious, I have to make myself clear. Before, I thought it was the other way around: that people never assumed it was serious until you sat down and spoke about it. And, I mean, they were right to feel hurt too. I'm learning how to deal with that better.

Hey man! I'd say only 10 and 13 stand out from the rest. I'll try to explain my reasoning and add a couple opinions on how you could improve the pictures. When using pictures for online profiles they have to appear like you're not trying. So, like someone caught a candid photo of you because they thought you looked interesting. One point to also keep in mind is picture quality: good lighting and good definition make a picture look better. I know it is hard if your own camera is a potato (I have …

Depending on how far into the interaction you are, you want to actually keep the tension. For example use the silences to intensify or sexualize eye contact. Small talk can (and is actually designed to) defuse tension.
/r/seduction08/10/17 08:21 PM

Hijacking your response to link a short video by RSD Julien on making the girl invest in the interaction as well. https://youtu.be/KriZHsiiYPg I've also seen a few other pick up instructors talking about the same, how letting her fill the silences makes her invest in the conversation (and that you will discover they are just as bad as us at coming up with what to say! Because they don't really get practice, everyone talks to them and they don't have to think what to say)
/r/seduction08/10/17 08:18 PM

Nah you hug her because you feel like you want to hug her. Not because she deserves it or whatnot. Obviously respecting if she has boundaries and stuff, like some people don't like being hugged because of past traumatic experiences.

Just plugging here to give another angle: always have something going on that when a girl flakes it doesn't matter because you can go back to do what you do. Like learning a new skill, having a project, making art, going out to chat with strangers, etc. This extends to any change of plans and you can accommodate it with whatever you're working towards, game or self improvement
/r/seduction26/08/17 05:19 PM

I thought I needed a girlfriend to be happy I've been through the same phase a couple times in the past. Every time it comes clear as water the issues are within. It's funny how the first time it happened I picked up drawing, there's something amazing about expressive arts that lets you dump a bunch of emotions, seal it in your creation and move on

Not necessarily, it varies depending on how you carry it. The majority of people would feel some anxiety before cold approaching anyone the first many times, so calling out that you're feeling a bit of it is okay. The more you progress the less you'll say it out loud and just recognise it in your head. For advanced guys you're spot on, because it makes your mindset reliant on self deprecation which is a hit and miss (can be overbearing)
/r/seduction06/08/17 07:36 PM

My bit of advice is not overlook mentors in other areas if you cant find some specific to seduction. There are tons of transferable knowledge with self improvement (mental and physical), salesmanship, leadership and spirituality. The down side is that you'll need to work extra to relate the skills to talking to girls so obviously not better than getting a specific one for seduction.

A date isn't limited to a coffee shop or a restaurant. We've diversified the dating activities over the years and thanks to social media and texting we can skip to the mutually interesting activities without having to go for the obligatory coffee or meal to get to know each other.

Good examples of what OPs idea is like in practice. I wonder why the top comments are focusing on how talking to a taxi driver isn't what they want to do, or that OPs examples still don't engage them, without getting the lesson out of it. Nowadays people rarely get to interact meaningfully with others outside their social circle, and in those cases small talk is almost their norm. I like your approach of open, almost abstract questions. The approach is easier than cold reading: you're talking ab…

Rock on, dude! Meditating helps with quieting down the random thoughts you get when cold approaching, but the true reward of improvement will only come after you get familiar with striking conversations with strangers out of the blue.

I think the same, Relationships/flings/sex with chemistry are 100% better than those without, if you are looking for the complete range of pleasure. There are some who are ok without the seamless chemistry though, and just go for strictly sex because they like each other physically enough.
/r/seduction12/03/17 11:25 AM

There are a few underlying issues with your current mindset, that are showing through this post. Let's break your post down into four parts: (a) social game as "natural" game, (b) motivation for cold approach, (c) tricks to help, and (d) affected by the outcome. The last two are things you want to break out from in your journey through seduction. First and foremost there are no tricks. It's all hard work and hard work. And learning from experience. Have you tried an "us vs him" tactic? You and the girl both want to be social. So you got that in common. The other guy only wants to hit on the girl, which would make him antisocial in this frame. If the guy is still around, you could build on the "us" mentality with the girl to go to a different spot, just the two of you.

Don't have to stop her, because you can also walk beside her towards where she's going. How can you tell if stopping her will be welcome or disruptive? If you say hi and she replies but doesn't stop, moving in the general direction will create some little rapport. "we're going towards the same spot" vs "i need to go there but this guy wants me to stop here". If you say hi and she stops, it's a sign that she wants to hear you out or whatever. It doesn't guarantee that she's already in your arms. …

Yea it would appear so. After all, anyone with a pair of eyes can simply go out on the street and see that many people are focused solely on their mobiles. It's not representative of the entire population. Perhaps some don't use their phones that often. Perhaps others do, but are working on other things. Being able to recognise that each person has different circumstances about them is a sign of social intelligence.

Funnily enough it's a concept that's not new. Recently I read a work by Nietzsche where one of the recurring points was, in a nutshell, to stop taking yourself too seriously if you want to become the enlightened, fulfilled man.

It depends on each girl in particular. Whether it's a topic you want to establish or avoid, it's your choice. But be prepared to assume responsibility either way. Ultimately you will hopefully also filter girls according to this criteria. For some girls it's a deal breaker if you see other people. Others are probably also seeing other people. You have to judge what kind of girl she is and, in a way, talk about the base assumptions. In that respect, if it's a deal breaker and you tell her you're …

There are no guidelines for getting started with flirting. Try and always push a little further than what you are used to and see their reaction. Then you'll learn what kind of intensity works well in what situation. Challenge her, stand your ground, talk about topics you want. Don't be the agreeable guy but neither push so far as to be the asshole guy.

A woman (or anyone) cannot control what you do: you are the master of your own life and choices. You also mentioned that you feel unattractive, and that this will trigger her to stop you. This fear seems a lot like anxiety, so if you really really want to go for counselling, make it specific for that. Much of the "soft" anxiety therapy revolves around trying to be rational about the fears and disprove them or work around them. But no amount of therapy will make you feel attractive. That's on you…

Yes to some extent. But think about it the other way - say you show the opposite qualities: you're threatened by men, dislike her friends, don't respect her personal/alone time,... Do you believe that a high quality girl will fall for those?

You try out the way you feel it is going with this girl. If nothing is happening, try harder. In fact try and push it until the breaking point, it's a good learning exercise for calibration. Learn from it and go to another girl, try again, repeat.

I understand your point and I'm glad that is how it works for you! Luckily for all, life isn't all black and white. The disagreement I have with living from the past is that it eventually becomes a habit. If someday you choose to look at an old picture instead of taking a new one, you're robbing your future self from a moment she could appreciate. Likewise, imagine a rich woman gone poor. She can either rejoice that she once was rich (appreciating a positive past) and still be poor, or work her …

No link handy but look for the infield shots where he's in a club making a girl bark. Or when he's picking up a blonde girl who's older than him (she's saying she did some huge sports event). Or the one where he drags the girl from her friends out of the club saying "two minutes, just come to this side of the fence". In all those cases he's always commanding and sure about his intentions. Just ignore it, it's irrelevant. She wants validation, in the form of you just responding to it (because then you have to stop and look at her and judge). If you agree, she marks you down. If you disagree, she'll latch and argue her way out of the interaction. When you're having sex with her she won't question whether she is beautiful or ugly.

Use the smoking area to your advantage if you are better with verbal game than with physical game. Otherwise it's not too hard to pull her from her friends (think hand of God, come hither, the claw). Make her feel all the feelings and she will forget about that. The full range. If she feels laughter, anger, pleasure, frustration, relaxation, etc. then she will actually try and catch up emotionally. Also, if you give her just enough and then take it away playfully repeatedly (obviously calibrating), she might then start chasing instead of receiving.

Do you build a connection after you approach a girl, or are you focused on talking to the girl just to get the number and the date?
/r/seduction12/08/15 12:44 AM

As you point out, sub-communicating sexual intent is the most effective way, because it gives the girl some deniability. Because it "just happened". It's a common misconception that "sexualising the interaction" implies explicitly talking about sexual stuff. At risk of sounding redpill-esque I'd say it's fuelled by the general idea that the man asks for sex and the woman explicitly accepts or rejects it as she sees fit. Whereas it's more like both being on the same page about wanting each other
/r/seduction12/08/15 12:38 AM

it's hard to have much self-esteem because women literally NEVER give me compliments or show interest in me. It's called self-esteem because it's how you hold yourself up to your own standards. Approach because it makes you feel good. Dance because it makes you feel good. Also, remember that a rejection is a "no, I don't want what you offer". Otherwise it's you backing away first from the situation.
/r/seduction09/08/15 03:51 PM

It sounds more like he's explaining the line between rape and flirting (the paragraph as a whole). Like, the girl has personal boundaries and many a men won't calibrate well when going for it so she feels violated. Obviously if she rejects the escalation (read: "don't touch me", with a straight face) , either (a) accept the rejection or (b) calibrate, talk/flirt/whatever away the issue and try again if & when she is good with it

You're right, no point on living thinking what could've been. That's when we get regrets -- when we choose something we know doesn't suit us. I think the message of the article was rather to ground yourself in the present and always pursue what will make you happy/fulfilled. Work out for the body you want. Go get the job you dream of, don't be afraid to drop it if it doesn't suit you. Cultivate your connections. Approach that cute girl at the museum because you both like modern art. Etc.

Well it's rather easy... Why don't you tell both of them that it's a private massage session and if she agrees then - well done. See, here's the thing. You probably have oneitis for this girl. I mean, if your cousin is gonna be there, the whole massage deal is literally just a massage. And you're planning ahead a strategy of how to get your cousin to cooperate so that you can privately convey to this girl that you want to put your dick inside her. Do what you gotta do, say what you must, but jus…

If you do the same thing over and over again, you will keep getting the same results. It seems you're not lacking the number of approaches; try something new every now and then until you find your style.

I think I stick to pua routines and openers because often I don't know what to say Okay you probably have seen material around the community that says this over and over again: "it's not what you say but how you say it". What you say won't be boring if you believe in it and show genuine interest. Imagine that I wanted to [get to know] her better and of course seduce her after/during that (maybe for a meaningful onenightstand). Ok so you are attracted to the girl, and this is your goal. You want …

My third question is how do you balance your seduction skills (confidence game, cocky/funny etc etc) with being yourself? Being yourself is the one and only real seduction skill you'll ever get. All the façades and pretending/playing some personality is the old PUA way, which does nothing to fix your insecurities to really make you attractive. Now my take on where it went wrong: You went straight to text game without face-to-face interaction. Remember you can't build attraction over text. This g…

Here, it is linked in the second post from "Read this[1] and this[2]" on the sidebar, in bullet point "opener" under the Beginners heading. http://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/cqvcu/fr_first_kiss_close_ever/c0uk1pb

I think we'd all agree that the second one is the one to go

That's cool man, take it step by step! There's good material on this sub about indirect openers: you start by saying something neutral (e.g. where's the nearest watch repair shop) and then change the topic to what you really want to convey -- that you find her attractive and want to build rapport.

I tend to start by engaging the group as a whole, especially if she's the outstanding one. Kinda makes her wonder for a second. Then focus on her and isolate. If the group sees you as friendly they'll probably want you (the attractive stranger) to talk to her. RSD (Tyler) has a video that explains how to approach groups, says you gotta engage her friends too so they don't feel left out and cockblock you.

This hits the spot. Very adequate for social calibration and works as well for other situations in life where there may be some approach anxiety in play, such as learning to communicate with "higher ups".

This is why many of the professionals recommend meditation, since that let's you turn off the self talk and focus on the moment

Your not drinking is your mojo, so just tell the truth. Bonus if you turn it into fun or interesting conversation (sort of like jokes, story doesn't have to be completely true), such as "I'm driving a band's tour bus in the morning", or "i don't mix business with pleasure", whatever works for you. Not drinking doesn't affect your game, in fact, it can boost it since you can keep top concentration/perception. Also, there are better ways than "buying her a drink" to get where you want ;)

Anything would work so long as you believe in it. What matters is how you say it and frame it.

This is solid advice. It's not uncommon that people engage in small talk rather frequently with others, with the exception of their closest friends. Also it depends on how cultured they are, and how interested they are in having a meaningful conversation. Not everyone is going to react positively to that kind of conversations, but the ones who do are very often worth the search.

I start talking about Obama. On a more serious note, kino tends to be the best way. Though if kino is impaired in any way (e.g. Working behind the counter, etc.) a lot of eye contact/eye flirting can keep the vibe on until you can kino again. Keep in mind that some PUAs just plain outright tell her they found her attractive as they meet the girl, to make it clear that you have a sexual interest and aren't approaching just to be friends.

Have you come across cases where there was good rapport before the #-close, and even ideas for future dates (talking about shared interests and such) but the girls never text back nonetheless?

Once through this subreddit I read an argument that the theory behind pickup is like a mix of social psychology and biology (evolution, natural selection,...), which seems to be in line with objectifying behaviours

Definitely this. It's something that you have to do often, practice and correct your mistakes. It's like learning a new language or picking up a new skill. And following the baseball analogy, I'd like to add that at times more than one thing must be improved. Shoulder strengths, posture, grip, swing, etc.

General advice in the seduction community is that texting only serves the purpose of setting up the next date. Though there needs to be something you both talked about in your previous interactions that can lead to dates: shared hobbies, a "we should meet again", one time events you both like.

Ask simple questions about what she's saying. Mostly related to the last thing she said. If she's talking about her trip to the Bahamas, ask her what did she find interesting. Or why was that beach so amazing that it was worth telling a story about it. Or tell her you're not interested in what she's saying if you actually aren't, but be proactive and propose a better topic of your liking.

It might help to find why they are shy on the first place. In my experience when a girl is shy it boils down to insecurities about her own decisions (e.g. she's conscious about external opinions, her own inexperience, etc) I am no expert but what works for me is to be polarised: either leading on incrementally (all the way to the close), or making her chase you (all the way to the close) incrementally. By incrementally i mean the usual escalation, hold hands, hug, kiss, make out...

College is as much about studying as it is about building connections, specially if you have big career plans for your future. Practicing pickup will do you good for when you have to face other people in the future, since it teaches you to overcome anxieties, improving yourself and focus on your goals. There are tips to get "in state" for meeting girls, such as power stances, physical activity and more. Also, if you are feeling apathy because of the seeming differences between the girls in your …

Remember that if you add her on Facebook she'll be able to see your content and judge you through it. There's no harm in just messaging her. Chances are she'll send you a friend request and that puts you in control
