It'd be more inline with attempted rape, because if he was convicted, he would have gotten raped in prison. It should be at the least attempted unlawful imprisonment, filing a false police reported, as well as a civil suit for damages to character.

Well. AVFM has basicly played the "wikipedia is full of feminist ideologues so we are giving up on them" after he was told that having erin pizzy on the staff roster doesn't automatically mean avfm will get un-blacklisted. Ya, its kinda irritating that avfm is still spam blacklisted. No, that doesn't mean feminists have over taken it. ATM avfm looks about as stupid in the eyes of anybody at wikipedia as manhood 101 does when they compare /r/mensrights or avfm to the good men project. Part of me …

Late to the party, don't care: Elam's fucking "it was satire!" defence is the least convincing thing I've seen since porn orgasms. Except it is. Gender swap satire designed to force the shoe on the other foot, that once revealed to be such, is designed to make rational minded readers to ask: "Why do I have such a different reaction?" He spells this out more clearly now, such as the "I'll decide if you were raped, not you" article. Where he takes highly publicized cases of women who were sexually…

Well, see, really, slut shaming is really a affront to men. Slut shaming stems from the idea that women are dirtied by men, thus men are 'dirty'.

This is bullshit, do not cite it. They compared survey results for men with case reports for women. however! this can still be proof that men get raped more. add the number they found to cdc's stats and boom! you get higher numbers.

I was once told by someone I emailed about her article falsely stating that rape by women is rare that because prison rape, rape by women is probably comparatively small and shouldn't be addressed. (this was her way of dismissing the CDC stats i showed her.) I said something to the effect of: "By that logic then accounting for prison rape, men getting rape is higher than shown on the cdc stats, and thus higher than women getting rape, so female victims of sexual assault are probably comparativel…

I just checked, the two gifs at the front are over size. the limit is 150kb and they are 192kb and 185kb respectively. you might have to cut off a frame or two or split them up or maybe even give it a flat background to lower the color number. One other trick would be to make the logo part transparent on all subsequent frames so the logo only has to be saved on to file once, and just carries over.

boys were "much more likely" to say they had sexually abused someone, the association says. But it did not provide specific numbers on those differences. Oh I'm sure they didn't, otherwise people might know how often girls rape, and how (relatively) small that gap is compared to what society assumes it is.

You see his hand moving to block her hand on his privates (good acting on their part btw) that would (in a real non acting context) qualify it as forced contact of a sexual nature, all one needs to do is prove intent to escalate to forced sexual acts (easy enough if the genders are right, and remember, in this hypothetical, we are switching the genders, so they would be) and you have attempted rape of the 2nd or 3rd degree depending on state.

Did not want != Didn't consent. even the question "Have you ever had sex you did not want" is going to apply to people who weren't rape. Rape is not about want or didn't want, its about consent, more so the lack of it. A person having pity sex was raped according to this survey. They didn't want it, they consented to it, but they didn't want it. Two, reflecting back and thinking "I shouldn't have had sex with him" doesn't make what happened unconsensual, just like how reflecting back and thinkin…

I'm hoping gay family court (only calling it that because we call two homosexuals getting married gay marriage rather than marriage) brings to light some more neutral ways of dealing with divorce, alimony, and kids/custody/child support. However, I fear it will just end up turning into top vs bottom/butch vs femme, leading to interesting results for couples who don't identify nor fit in with that paradigm. Many of these threads revolve around defending a man's ability to raise a child, well what…

Women are naturally insecure (even the hot ones) and need external validation from other people/shiny things in order to have self esteem. If the staff is 90% female then it would make sense that you would see a higher number of female abusers. Page 5 of the study: Among the estimated 1,390 youth who reported victimization by staff, 89.1% were males reporting sexual activity with female staff and 3.0% were males reporting sexual activity with both male and female staff. In comparison, males comprised 91% of adjudicated youth in the survey and female staff accounted for 44% of staff in the sampled facilities.

I really don’t get why they downvote you. Some people seem to be unable to appreciate valid criticism. Its because of this: Its inaccurate too, only penetrative acts are classified as rape. They are saying that a woman forcing a man into sex isn't raping him. We don't take too kindly to such bigoted statements here.
/r/MensRights03/06/13 04:57 AM

Sure, if men and women both risked banishment from holding public office or financial aid by not doing so. Women are inherently able to hold public office just for being women. They are inherently able to get public aid for higher education just for being women. Men on the other hand don't get that privilege until they sign their life away to the government should it need some bodies to die on the front line. And this isn't even covering the social pressure that only men get to be protector/prov…

Do you or do you not believe that forced intercourse is rape? So this could mean rape wouldn't be "forced penetration" if it was a guy being raped by a women. Such thing would be called forced to penetrate would it not. Seeing as how the stats you are looking at are for forced penetration, it seems we aren't looking at the full picture, man, if only there were stats that covered forced to penetrate Oh look, the row i cited in my first reply to you was "data row 7". umm. look at yearly facts not lifetime facts. lifetime facts would have a lag time before cultural shifts would be reflected. also, there are studies that show guys are more likely to repress sexual abuse memories over time than girls. Yearly facts shows equal number of victims.

Male victims of DV and rape are pitiable, to be sure, but there are vastly, exponentially more female victims. Orly? CDC's 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS) shed an interesting light on this: Go to the Full Report and look at table 2.1 and 2.2 on page 18 and 19. Compare the 2nd column (12 month) figures for women (table2.1) reporting forced or attempted forced penetration (data rows 2 and 3) with the figures for men (table2.2) reporting being forced to penetrate(D…

If your current goal is to make as many people know you exist, being labeled a rapist would be a good thing in the context of that goal. This is why we see designer criminals like the Norway bomber who released a manifesto tied to his crimes. Just like how dying wouldn't be a good thing. but if your goal is to raise awareness of family court issues, or male victims of DV, Lighting yourself on fire or hanging your self would be a good thing in the context of that goal. Yes, we have discussed life expectancy in the context of dangerous jobs; Most of the rhetoric in relation to that, that i've seen, only implies that this a cause, not the cause. We also discuss life expectancy in the context of the gap in health spending by the federal government. [6]

I can do this too: Well, you see, slut shaming is actually misandry. Because it implies that men are dirty and that by having sex they transfer that impurity to women. This is why women who have sex with a lot of men are called damaged goods. So don't call slut shaming misogyny, it's not. The pay gap is actually a men's rights issue. It stems from the social pressures places on men to provide that aren't placed on women. This is the result of removal of gender for women but not for men. So don't…

more interesting facts: http://imgur.com/a/aw0eU cdc data on rape for the past 12 months shows that men being forced to penetrate is equal with women being forcefully penetrated (note: force to penetrate stats includes both attempted and successful forced envelopment, so I'm including both in the forced penetrate stats for fairness) And this stat doesn't even include men getting raped in prison. Men actually have a HIGHER chance of getting raped. But a much lower chance of anyone giving a shit.

Here's a thought: Being falsely accused is worst then getting raped. There are many services that don't require police involvement to help rape victims thru their pain. The argument is to separate us from the trad-cons. you say to someone who doesn't know about the movement that you fight for men's rights, you risk them equating you to the old men's rights movement from the 70s whose goal was to put women back in the kitchen. You say men's human rights, you give that specifier of what "rights" you fight for, it makes that confusion less likely, and it also gives us a separate name for our movement.

Another way is wait for him to answer a question, then reply to his comment. that rule is mainly for top level comments.

Why not just list the articles themselves and let people read them themselves in the entirety. Because no one would read that. Thats like asking why wikipedia wouldn't just list the books / studies it got its information from so people can read them themselves in their entirety. Summarizing is ok.

let me add your list of possible explanations: Women are not held to the same degree of accountability and responsibility with respects to their behavior towards the opposite sex. and their behavior wrt to violent actions overall. If you place expectations that one group act like A and another group act like C, what results do you expect that would bring? Do you think that would bring two groups who act the same? Or would it bring out one group who acts like A, and one group who acts like C, eve…

my friend's had that poster on her wall for years, I've never interpreted it quite that way. The entire thing is pairs, for every line that begins with girls, it ends with boys, for every line that begins with boys, it ends with girls. That last line is just a continuation of that theme. You will also notice that it switches off, boy girl, girl boy, boy girl, etc. so the only reason it starts with girls at the bottom, is because of how it started at the top.

The graph shows visitors by gender compared the internet's avg. We only have a small skew to male gender. common mainstream wisdom has been that it would be a much larger skew to male gender. our opponents commonly state that the mrm is just full of men angry at women, yet AVFM has a higher percentage of visitors that are women then reddit does.

Got a email back from them: Hi kyle, Thank you for your concern for the job. I just wanted to let you know that we are not discriminating for the job. The requirements themselves leave us no choice but to ask for a female because the job requires posting in locations for females only (gym changing rooms, bathrooms, etc). Therefore, no male candidate can be taken in consideration. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us and we will gladly answer your concerns.

I sent Sexual assault is a crime that affects both genders, and is perpetrated by both genders. A campaign based only on one gender and one sexual orientation is sexist, homophobic, marginalizes survivors, ignores perpetrators and perpetrates the rape culture against victims of sexual assault that do not fit into the "mainstream" image of rape. Women have committed sexual assault, so where is the "don't be that girl" headline? Rape occurs in both heterosexual and homosexual settings, so where is…

The issue with the women = small men = big line of thought is its still gendered. if thats why we take violence against women so seriously, then shouldn't be violence against weak by strong or etc? what about bigger stronger women hitting smaller weaker men? This is the line of thought we should leading to. make it un-gendered.

One: We don't do trigger warnings here. Two: Just as many men have been raped. (go to CDC's 2010 national intimate partner violence survey. and in the last 12 months, the number of men reported being forced to penetrate is equal with the number of women who reported being forcefully penetrate (pics of the two for quick reference)). So don't focus on one gender in a gender equality subreddit.

True, but on the other hand, in Western cultures (such as Swedish), it's orders of magnitude easier for a woman to just go get laid than a man. actually from talking to people i know in swed and norway, its not. its either about even or slightly easier for men. /feedback/ isn't going to do shit. mods of big-ish subreddits have access to a super secret subreddit called /r/modtalk. this subreddit is modded by mostly admins and they are frequent visitors to the subreddit. we also have the #modtalk irc channel where admins are talking regularly.. I bring this up because just about every mod in mod talk that i've seen, has been calling for srs to be handled. I can't tell you more beyond that, (and i'm probably pushing the limits of what i can tell you), but…

The draft its self still exists. but its currently inactive. Basically, people have to register for it. but we aren't pulling names out of the list. (We could start any time.) When people talk about the draft ending, they are talking at the time we stopped pulling names from the registry and sending them to war. But we still have the service, the frame work, and every thing we need to start back up Some facts: Males older then 18 have to register for it. Only Males aged 18-25 can register for it…

I'm trying to educate the newish mras that no one cares if /r/lgbt banned them for sticking up for men's rights. thats a well known and documented issue, and getting banned is what you get for not posting in /r/ainbow

It's gotten upvotes, so it seems I'm not the only one. Maybe I'm sick of this men work and women house-keep bullshit. Maybe i'm sick of the idea that a guy's death from risking his life to pay the bills he was gender role shamed into paying is inconvent to the family he was supporting. Maybe I'm not the only one.

The fact that you went back 400 posts on guytoronto's history just to criticize him speaks a lot about your priorities. No it doesn't, its honestly not that hard to do. I have 100 page sizes, so going back 400 posts is a simple as holding down the end button till three more pages load in RES then doing a control +f for mensrights and looking at the oldest result. Well, I made a blog post about this, so i'll just link it here: http://seattlemra.blogspot.com/2012/09/feminism-and-mrm-part-2.html Talking about feminism and patriarchy theory is mra related. talking about feminism's continuing attempts to infect everything with their world view, (here in Seattle, they even infected blackbloc with this new pinkbloc bullshit) is relevant because it needs to be stopped if we are to ever have a chance of undoing their anti-male hatred.

The women's rights movement and the men's rights movement can certaintly co-exist. but the feminist movement? not so much: There are arm chair feminist, and politically active feminists. The two are different, and mras are mainly referring to the 'Politically Active Feminists'. Politically active feminists like Rebecca Watson call mra's a joke. ok... the wiki article on it has changed quite a bit since i last read it, when i read it, it listed women's interests groups worried about losing women only labor restrictions and concerns on how being drafted might "effect the family" when i have more energy and less alcohol in me, i'll look into the history and sources to figure out what version of the story is right.

Whats worst? you can not register for the draft after you turn a certain age. and thus permanently lose the ability to get government jobs or financial aid.
/r/MensRights30/08/12 06:09 AM

yes, except for the fact there was a constitutional amendment that would require all laws to be gender neutral. that was opposed by most feminsts because they would lose girl only labor restrictions and be required to sign up for the draft.
/r/MensRights30/08/12 06:05 AM

Check Your Privilege!## A Guide To Male Privilege The privilege of paying child support at age 14 to the 30-year-old woman who raped him. The privilege of being laughed at or jailed when his girlfriend or wife batters him. The privilege of having his "privileged status" be used to discount any issues he may face. The privilege of being assumed a potential rapist, child molester, or batterer based only on his gender. The privilege of being shamed for being a virgin, then shamed for being sexually…

oh, that's right snowflake. Forget to use a gender neutral pronoun and you are scared of female lawyers. But no, that's: LOL, where do you come up with this stuff? My bad, I forgot, this gets too confusing for my tiny male brain.

either debate the person or fuck off. last thing we need is mras treating the movement like its a religion. isn't that not one of our criticisms of feminism? I'd argue that that's treating symptoms rather than the disease It is, the number reason one for smaller government i've heard from mras is because they are sick of supporting a government with tax dollars if it will only use those tax dollars to enable feminist to do things we hate. tbh its a bit of both, but a lot of anti-government or sm…

here is another trumping argument you might not have heard: Why is it always an income percentage? if they were still together, they could spend a minimal amount on the child, as long as its not so low its abuse/neglect, even if they were both millionaires. but if they separate, he is forced to pay a percentage. that choice is taken out of his hands. child support amounts should be a balance between income percentage and a realistic number of how much money it costs to raise a child. furthermore…

She went on to say that these were not in fact choices but something akin to gender role brain washing. I have no idea how to make a reasonable counter argument to this claim. You can't counter it because she is right... The wage gap is caused by gender roles leading men to take on harsher but more paying work conditions. When men aren't expected to be the providers, there will be wage equity. edit to clarify: But until then, the pressure to be family providers will push one gender and one gende…

The only reason they thought it was worth looking into was because of the gender of adult. and that is something I can not abide by. I don't care who the fuck it protects, I will not be discriminated against. Or should we start discriminating against races that are stereotypically seen as involved in gangs? Part of MGTOW is to stop being an enabler to the system that will use your tax money to help girls masquerading as women live for free. This means stopping your spending as much as you can. This means veggie farms, this means slugs. FUCK SLUGS In all seriousness, its a nice touch of humor to liven up the mood. I know viperz added it as a troll, but i'll keep it. I have a hard time expressing that opinion here because this subreddit hates women in the same way the ignorant feminists hate men. Some of the most respected and upvoted members are outted women. (GirlWritesWhat TyphonBlue) But a quick search thru your comment history tells me you have only commented one other time to ask the "what does this have to do with men's rights" question. and you got no flack or downvotes for it. So I'm not sure that opinion is based on fact.

Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat. Women often have to flee from the only homes they have ever known. Women are often left with the responsibility, alone, of raising the children. https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Hillary_Rodham_Clinton#White_house_years_.281993_.E2.80.94_2000.29 (last one in that section) Men dying? tbh, linking MGTOW to lesbian separatist isn't quite the same. refusing to date the gender you are attracted to is not the same as deciding to change your sexuality for superficial reasons. MGTOW is largely due to how the system treats women who act bad in relationships, more so how it enables it. And in this case, I really don't blame him. MGTOW Basically its saying "I control what it means to be a man, the title of Man, to me, not society, not prospective partners, Me.". It's a rejection of the idea of the title of Man being held as a cookie given to those who fulfill their roles as utility, those who allowed themselves to be disposable.

Something about that ending line just resonated so powerfully to me. And if this seems monstrous, not simply the concept of what most people grasp of objective, beyond a commercial focus of female sexuality as a tool to manipulate the spending habits of men and women, but objectification taken to the logical extreme, of treating human beings used to their destruction as disposable appliances, if this is too monstrous to consider, then just go back to sleep. I posted about it in /r/aspergers this was how i described the feeling i got from it. the poster said "aspies are prone to indoctrination". they were saying that im not a mra by my own choice, that i was indoctrinated into the movement. That some "cult" (as they called it) preyed upon me, and i was a victim, all because my AS apparently means i'm too stupid to make my own choices, and they must "protect me". I HATE this kind of attitude. More reducing me to my diagnosis.

I'm in Renton, please link me to seattle movement resources. Also: I've been an mra since 3rd or 4th grade when i was told that kissing a girl without explicitly asking first could get me expelled, but not the reverse. Here is Karen explaining our view point against feminism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqEeCCuFFO8&feature=em-uploademail We hate feminism for a reason. Watch it, watch the whole thing. I think the biggest issue is there are a few types of feminists, and the casual kind you find in your social circle isn't the kind we find in the political system nor the kind that tries over and over to hinder our efforts on this site. The casual kind may be the majority, but they are the vocal minority.

Removal of the foreskin that protects the most senitive part of male genitalia and some senators a senator suggesting we do it more to "stop rape" or to "stop teen pregnancy", because reducing the pleasure boys and men get from sex is the solution, right؟ But at the same removal of the clitoral hood that protects the most sensitive part of female genitalia is illegal almost everywhere. Patriarchy theory doesn't mean women blame all their problems on men. Just ones related to patriarchy--thats not sexist, its rational. You've drawn a specious implication there. First, I didn't say women blame all of their problems on men. I said feminism does, BIG difference. I define feminism as the view that women are oppressed by men, verses the women's rights moment's view that women are oppressed. Small yet simultaneously big difference, and as an MRA I'm only against one. feminism's view …

Feminism is not about shitty legislation that as you say blatantly promotes misandry. Feminism relies heavily on Patriarchy Theory. A Theory that is by definition misandrist. Here's the only thing we need to make our point. Patriarchy Theory Patriarchy is a social system in which the male gender role acts as the primary authority figure central to social organization, and where fathers hold authority over women, children, and property. It implies the institutions of male rule and privilege, and entails female subordination. Feminism, By definition, blames all of their problems on men and as such is sexist and misandrist, by definition.

So your idea to help free us from our enslavement to gender roles that make men pocket books for the use of women, that makes society treat men as guilty and women as innocence. Your idea to free us from this enslavement (one of the core missions of this forum) is to re-enforce them by defining "homos" as un-manly, or to put it in your terms, saying they weaken the male populous? You are not welcome here. Your ideas are counter productive to our goals. This is not the movement you're looking loo…

Don't let the fearmongering of what long been a patriarchal system My eyes glazed over right about here. Don't expect to receive a warm welcome if you're gonna come into a male space spewing about nonsense about how men are trying to oppress women. Patriarchy theory is by definition anti-men, and as such, will never be welcomed here. Are you truly going to blindly trust the well-being of your daughter to a man who doesn't care enough about her to not cheat on her mother? I Think OP said it well:…

This is such a trap. You shouldn't have to explain this. The real issue is that you DID feel the need to explain it. Anything else is just being redirected on the issue. Don't let them do that, focus on the REAL issue. Why do we have to explain this. Why are we putting so much effort to give reasons why boys should get the same safety that girls are given on assumption? That is the real issue. Don't give in to the bait of listing off reasons. It only undermines the issue.

What the fuck. This title doesn't do the submission justice. From what I can tell from the article: Guy is getting into his car where his two kids are. Cop sees guy doing this. Cop shoots guy to protect the kids from what he presumed to be a molester. There is no indication in the article that the cop made any attempt to interact with the man. Just started shooting. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK! If this doesn't lead to the cops arrest, Then we better have mass protests planned.

It seems like the more shes getting involved with The MRM or at least the more shes making videos on that subject, the more emotional she gets. It is always reassuring to see someone who cares, not because this effects them, but because this effects humans.

As a human I will not allow my gender to define me. I am a human, not a "man", not a "boy" not a male, a human. I refuse to allow society to define how i should act based on my gender. I reuse to allow a biologically programmed fear of seeming "un-masculine" to be exploited.

Gay rights ARE important to mra. Yes, any gay only issues would technicly be a gay rights issue, but what about gay marriage? moreso divorce and family court for gays? Once courts are FORCED to look at something other then the gender to decide custody, departmental policies will be built around this. downvote counts cant be trusted, spammer accounts or botnet voter accounts are marked "hidden," and any time they vote the system ads a down vote and a up vote so it looks like their vote was counted making it seem like it was countered by someone elses vote shortly afterwords... there was a TIL page about it.
