I think her political views are ignorant, she is trigger-happy on blocking comments from her YouTube, and she is irascible and arrogant.

She also has a good perspective on gender issues and other things and has written some good articles/done some good videos.

I'm not going to get too bent out of shape about it unless the latter changes.

I would suggest not placing any faith in e-personalities or ideologues, regardless of how strongly you feel they represent a movement as it leads to either disappointment or faith.

The article in question is a critique of libertarianism, and not a very in-depth one. I would keep in mind that Libertarianism is not a new concept, and like ALL of the other political parties in the United States it has never established an interest in the Rights of Men. When people come here espousing their political party as an answer for Men they have no basis in doing so. I would argue that it is valid to hate literally any American political party for it's use of Men as disposable tools and economic stepping stools.

You'll find that in the countries most laissez-faire periods the development of Child Support grew from an early adoption of poor laws to debtors imprisonment featuring back-breaking labor. In this same time frame (1808-1920) heavy experimentation with public violence and shaming as a tool to cure wife batterers.

A century hasn't changed much, other than a distaste for corporal punishment and physical labor for criminals. My point, I think, is if you listen to anyone's distaste for a political group on a basis of uselessness to Men's Rights there is likely to be a grain of truth in what they say regardless of their alignment. Politicians are not our friends, if we garner any attention in politics it will be because it is politically useful to whatever group attempts to co-opt and control this movement.

I've never liked her. She's got the rhetoric, but she's not very bright. She sounds like a bumbling fool on blogtalk radio.

Edit: There's nothing wrong with libertarianism, it's extreme partisanship that's the problem.

Okay, question for everyone:

Has anyone ever, ever heard anyone here say they support anarcho-capitalism? That they don't just dislike government policies, they actually hate the concept of a government to begin with?

Because I bloody well haven't!

(Also, I firmly believe pure Libertarianism doesn't work, but this is also the absolute dumbest argument against it I've ever heard.)
