This is why I don't advocate for people to be abrasive in pushing MR topics. Logical, reasoned and persistant, definitely, but not abrasive. Most people are reasonable, and they will come to terms with the ideas on their own so long as they are not turned away from them by anger.

I'm on the fence with MRA's stance on circumcision. First of all the the facts posted by the friend are just plain wrong. Foreskin contains 20,000 nerve endings? That's about a tenth more than normal skin/cutaneous layers. Foreskin is the most sensitive part of the penis? Wrong. That would be the glans penis - the head. Foreskin keeps your glans clean? Wrong, it actually causes a lot of hygienic problems if not taken care of properly (whether or not you want to argue having or not having it is a strawman for educating young boys on how to properly clean is another completely different topic - an education topic, not something for MR). I suppose it can protect the urethra from containments but what containments? Bacteria? Bugs? I'm sort of scratching my head here as urine comes out of this organ.

The reason foreskin exists is that it's a vestigial piece of skin that developed along with our well endowment (check it out - humans have the largest dongs per size of all the sapiens) and that's because your penis actually exists well inside your body and used to poke out of the sheath and retract back into the body before it evolved to engorge blood (not that the other sapiens or our primitive ancestors' penis' didn't engorge blood, but they also came right out of the body, like the lipsticking dog's).

I'm trying to keep the levity here. I was circumcised and my doctor botched the shit out of it to where it healed crooked and looks a bit deformed but to be honest I couldn't give a shit - the doctor was an asshole, my mom even told me he was the biggest prick doctor, he didn't want to perform the circumcision and my parent's wanted it done so he was obligated to do it but half assed it.

Now would I rather have foreskin? To be honest, yeah. But only so my current healed foreskin scar wasn't botchy. Otherwise if it went ok I would rather be circumcised than not simply due to the fact that it actually helps dads not have to be as involved in maintenance and having their boys clean themselves is easier and more mature (and less embarrassing) than inspecting the boys' foreskin on a regular basis to check and see if it's not infected etc. And little guys are rarely on the ball with that kind of thing so in effect you're reducing the maintenance of your boys actually.
