Honestly I don't know. It'd be a lie to say that the information on here didn't help (and I won't say it didn't, only that there's almost too much of a good thing here). Honestly it seems like I could have said "fuck it" a long time ago if I wanted but for some reason I didn't. So who knows.

Almost every belief you have is limiting you. Eliminate the need or desire to be or do anything specific and you will eliminate fear. Desire is the root of all fear. If you have no wants or expectations you will have no fear of not meeting them. I know that can be really difficult and downright impossible sometimes but that's part of the game. That's why this is so tough. But the principle is there: no desire = no fear. It's horribly ironic but it's true. It's also insanely liberating once you t…

I know this sounds crazy, but everything you're experiencing (the expectations, the feelings of fear, the thoughts that come from fear) was put there by your mind. It exists inside your brain and nowhere else. There is nothing you can do to eliminate fear other than recognize that it is something you are creating--a figment of your imagination if you will. When this finally sets in, the fear will feel like a whisper in the back of your head. /r/howtonotgiveafuck

You know I posted this and sense then I've been thinking. I'm always trying to be funny, but to be honest with myself it's not working. And although I'm all about self-improvement you're right, I do try too hard. I'm really getting tired of it too, and I think I'm just about done with it. I think I'm reaching my tipping point. Thanks for the reply.

I think for me it isn't so much how much I say as what I say. Like I'm pretty random so if people are having a conversation I think I tend to derail it. By my brain goes so fast sometimes that I jump three steps in the conversation, and then say something that's completely irrelevant. I love asking people questions, though. I definitely am not one-sided, but maybe more just all over the place.

You're right. I'm waiting for a sign when I need to make my own.

Having no experience in being a bold assertive person though it doesn't feel right at all. I know it will start to feel natural with experience, but I just feel lost, like I'm looking at a map and can't find where I am on it.

I agree. But I do this because IMO life is too short for negativity. For me an optimistic personality in a girl is literally like the sexiest thing ever, so when a girl starts being really rude or bitchy I just tell them I don't have room in my life for negativity. They continue to do their thing and I do mine. Sometimes they come back in a nicer mood, and sometimes they even seem interested in me. Other times they don't. I'm not trying to tell them how to act, but seriously, why would anyone WA…

I say do what you want but what do I know. I will tell you a similar story though. I told this beautiful and awesome girl in my class one semester who was also on the tennis team at my school that I wanted to watch her play one time and that much dedication to anything was cool and sexy. So I did, and despite it seeming kind of beta I went to watch her play. It was awesome. The tennis match was a blast and my friend I took and I had fun. I honestly was fine with just enjoying watching a tennis m…

I don't know. But I will say that when I give them I don't give them time to linger. I say what I wanted to say and move on. "Hey I really like your hair today." "Thanks." "So what do you think about the homework for..."

Cool. Thanks, man. Basically you gotta make shit interesting. Variety is the spice of life, and it's no different when talking to a girl. Being all nice (or being all anything) is bland, so you gotta just add in a dash of ornery or mean once in a while.

It's funny you should say that. I was talking to a girl yesterday who majors in finance. So I told her about how I felt like finance and economics is cool as shit because IMO it's essentially the backbone of our economic society and how it's operations control so much of our everyday lives. She wants to be a financial planner so I asked her what goes into doing that. So we started talking about how the stock market works. I enjoyed the conversation and I thought she did too. Personally I thought…

I don't know then. I mean they must like something about me. Maybe I'm just wrong as to what causes it. If what you have found goes against what I say then please don't use it. We all have to find our own path.

On the contrary, if you never compliment her, after a while, she longs for your validation. She's dying to win you over. She's doing everything she can to get your approval. That's what you want. That's what she wants. That's when she's happiest, focused on me and being led through the relationship. Thank you for the post. I really do appreciate it! That being said this part here although I understand it I'm kind of in disbelief about. Would you care to elaborate, because as it is I'm not gettin…

I don't really compliment them in an observational way, but I just hear how self-conscious they are about so many things. I don't harp on it whatsoever but whenever I hear a girl beat herself up I tell them they worry too much, and that they're a beautiful woman just the way they are. Sometimes I'll remind them of the awesome aspects of who they are: great cook, great with kids, sexy smile, it really depends on what I like about them. If I think they're sexy though I will not hesitate to say so …

Soft touch, bro. It's okay. The key is letting go. You have to think it's acceptable. Imagine a girl you thought was hot coming up to you and sitting beside you. You talk and she's also cool as fuck! Then she says something and at the same time very nonchalantly just lightly drags her hand on the outside of your thigh. What do you do? If you're like me every neuron in your brain fires off and you get this rush. You have no control over it, but it's like your body just gets excited. Thinking abou…

It's cool you think that but realize a lot of people don't. It's an opinion. That being said I think they were just saying that you need to make sure and keep similar styles in similar bottles. If you have a top-shelf scotch bottle use a well scotch and not bourbon or Canadian. I'd also get a bottle of Crown. I've never met any female whiskey drinker who didn't love Crown. You could fill it with Seagrams and it would be perfect.

Don't talk for a response. Talk because you want to. The rest will take care of itself.

I suggest you stop wanting to be their friend. That doesn't mean stop being friendly, it just means quit wanting something from the people you talk to. It can be very stressful going into a conversation feeling like you have to get them to like you. You become a salesman for yourself and it is completely draining (not to mention it's hard to do). The way IMO to social freedom, the ability to converse without fear, is to eliminate that want or desire to get a certain reaction out of them. I know …

The good news is there are TONS of ways to show interest. You can be super direct but in my experience you don't have to. One of the easiest ways is to tell her she's special. It doesn't get much clearer and it works for almost every girl. From there elaborate as to why--and if nothing makes her special or all you can come up with is that she's pretty you probably shouldn't be dating her. I guess what I'm trying to say is trust your instinct. I think deep down you know what it is about this girl…

Honestly, whatever you think you would like the most. The most important part of it is to enjoy yourself. :-) Edit: As for me I do hatha.

I don't usually do this but do me a favor and please listen to me. The most important thing you can try and do is not go in with an agenda or expecting to make friends or get laid (or expecting not to make friends or get laid). The second you have a plan to make friends or meet women you will get all stressed out and nervous and just, "Grab a beer and find the nearest couch/chair to squat in the entire night." The reason you get nervous isn't because of the women, it's because something doesn't …
