I would not call it, "success."

Is it worth it? I am waiting for the woman who has outgrown this problem; I might die alone, but better than sacrificing my ethics.

I dated a girl who was 6'1" for a while, but she was like 120#, skinny as a rail. Too crazy for me, though.

Heh, I am 6'3", 250#, and do physical labor all day long. Anyone bigger and stronger than me is kind of a weird situation.

I'm not sure that figure gives you the information that you are looking for; female sexuality is much more complicated, and things like anticipation and expectation play larger roles. I.e. maybe they enjoy being frustrated.

men are inherently hornier The only thing I remember my Dad telling me about sex: "Girls want it just as much as men, they are just conditioned to hide it." I flunked out of high school because I was too busy getting laid with that piece of information.

You have never answered a friend or anyone who asked you a hypothetical? Sure, but if the hypothetical is too abstruse, as this one is, I reject the premise. I believe that any attempt to institute unfairness, for whatever reason, will ultimately destroy the society that tries it, and you will end up with the problem that you were trying to avoid in the first place, only worse. I.e. it just doesn't work.

I want you to look at it in a vacuum And I am refusing to do that; nothing exists in a vacuum.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/20 11:32 AM
1

You have to take it on blind faith that this benefits the team This is the problem, right here. No, you would have to come up with an actual scenario where the alternative would be worse, because what you are suggesting would quickly lead to a complete and total breakdown of our society. The very goal you are attempting to achieve would be lost.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/20 04:31 PM

We are not objects for your viewing pleasure, more men need to realize this Then stay out of my line of sight.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/20 12:45 PM
1

I am posing a hypothetical, my question is not based on anything particularly true about our current world. The point is to see whether you would take the hit for the team, even if it's unfair. But does it benefit the team? Slavery turned out to be a bad idea, not just for the slaves but for the slave-owners and in fact the entire society which allowed it. Again, fairness is not a human attribute but an animal one, and you will have no more luck attempting to suppress it than you would trying to…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/20 11:20 AM
1

Again, you are going to have to justify that, because from my perspective, your proposed solution is unstable; it will fall apart, leading to the alternative, anyway. What you are talking about is rationalizing unfairness, and the desire for fairness is not simply a human thing, it is an ANIMAL thing; it is not something that we can rationalize away. Or else black people would still be slaves, women would be second class citizens, and gay people would still be stoned to death.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/20 01:24 PM
1

You would have to justify that dichotomy by laying all of the blame on my side, somehow.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/20 01:08 PM

...and keep them under your control at all times, and take it with you when you leave! Just one mistake here screws you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/20 12:57 PM

Because women are tricking men into getting them pregnant just to get money, and financial abortion as an option would put an end to that.

Don't trust the woman not to sabotage your condom... Yea, good luck with that.

"No guts, no glory," huh? The main reason that I am not red pill is that I think that we should be getting over that kind of attitude. It is just another "shit test," that TRP is happy to engage in because they foind an exploit.

They are both manipulative, just in different ways. Blue pill claims to not be manipulative, while red pill admits it but excuses it as inevitable... and maybe it is. I still feel like a cad for acting like that, though, so I don't, which is why I have been single for 10 years.

women are able to deny a 9/10 in favour of a 10/10 guy, with one single swipe. In real life, a woman would never do that. If she gets hit on by a 7/10 she'll be glad. Probably would even consider a 5-6/10 dude Yea, because there are only a dozen guys at the bar to choose from, as opposed to half the local population online. Women are still going to choose the best available, there are just more available online.

Boy, do you have some stuff mixed up. Libleft MGTOW, here, but it has little to do with any innate qualities unique to women and more to do with the system and how people will take advantage if it is on offer. As for the system.... 80% of politicians are men, and they write the laws, which makes this a class issue, ultimately. I don't really care about promiscuity, other than from a health perspective. Infidelity presumes an assumption of fidelity, which I consider to be naive, on anyone's part.…

I am open to compromise on many topics, so my only issue here is the sense that it is an ultimatum rather than an opening bid. If it is more of a loose guideline so she doesn't get pumped and dumped, that is different. That being said, my experience has been that, if you have chemistry with someone, it will tend to override this kind of thing, and if you don't, it isn't going to magically appear 3 months later.

a lot of Northern European descendant women tend to desire tall men because they themselves are pretty tall on average as well. Then why do I exclusively get 5' tall pixies climbing Mt. Ordinate1? I am 6'3", my HS GF was 5'1", my ex-wife is 4'11" and my daughter's mother is 5'2" (completely different body types, interestingly). Most taller girls seem to be repulsed by me (I am also pretty muscular).

its because its not likely that people who make moral commitments against divorce uphold them as badly as those who make so such thing. And yet, I see exactly the opposite. Kind of like how half the super-homophobic guys in high school turn out to be gay 10 years later.

attractive men don't have to resort to sleeping with ugly/average women to have sex, which runs contrary to the arguments made on here by some Literally no one is saying that. It is the below average men who cannot get laid except under special circumstances. Plenty of ugly men breed thats for damn sure. Again, special circumstances; they provided something else of value. most couples I see are lookmatched and the better looking one is usually the women. I almost never see that, and when I do, 9…

For starters the population of very attractive men, the type lookism forums worships is very small. Like maybe 0.5% of the male population looks like that. With that definition, yes, I am sure that it is hard to get that 1 guy out of 200 that meets your standards. ugly/average women don’t get any attention from handsome men. Again, by your definition, you are going after the same men that every other woman is going after. Yes, they get to pick the best looking women. it is a myth that women get …

The punchline of “conservative Christians are the same about marriage as non-religious people” is just not reasonable. Why not? Because it runs counter to your preconceived notions? Here is some more research I gave you neutral research; you are giving me blatantly biased research.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/20 11:20 AM

I'd be interested in your data on that. Second result from a google search: http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_dira.htm it may surprise you but there are a lot of Baptist churches that arent traditional or conservative I do, actually; I have Christian friends and family, of a variety of denominations. It just doesn't seem to have much to do with whether or not a marriage is successful.

My dad has expressed regret, frustration, resentment that I was born female. My mother's name is, "Scott," because my grandfather wanted a son. Then he had two boys and left my grandmother, never to be seen again. That's a hell of a thing to do to a kid.

Bro, you know the kind of people I'm talking about. If I say "left" I don't mean people like che guevara who hated blacks and homosexuals. No, you mean the neoliberals running the Democratic Party nowadays, who have redefined "left" to end in the middle.

She didn't even come home? Phew. Dude she walked all over you We were in different places in life; it didn't matter how we arranged things, I was ready to settle down and she wanted to go out and party all the time. probably cheated You can't cheat in an open relationship. Besides, she brought another girl home a time or two :)

I cooked, she cleaned; I took care of the lawn and she took care of the laundry; we alternated Friday nights out and either stayed in or hired a sitter for Saturday night. The deal was fair, we just didn't enforce it properly, and to the extent that she "stomped all over [me]," I allowed it, mostly to spend more time with our son.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/20 12:43 PM

That is only because you have confused Identity Politics with Leftism. If you actually talk to those people, you will find that most of them support market economies, free trade, and invest in the stock market. They are only "left" by comparison.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/20 11:16 AM

leftists (most of whom are feminists) Had to stop you right here. There is not much overlap between these two groups, anymore. Modern feminism is all about "breaking the glass ceiling" and "leaning in," not merely participating in, but actively excluding anything counter to our current system. Feminism has become conservative.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/20 11:15 AM
2

Has anyone encountered those women that post stuff about feminism and equal rights and toxic masculinity and empowering women on social media, but then still manage to call you a ‘pussy’ or tell you to ‘man up’ or ‘grow some balls’? You mean, all of them? Yea, we've met.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/20 11:11 AM

I had this when I was married; I think that if we had been older, it would have worked. The problem was that, in our early 20s, I was too soft, i.e. I gave in too easily, and she was too interested in going out and partying. This wound up with me staying home with our kid all the time and her going out every night... and eventually not coming home in the morning.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/20 02:49 PM

Men are not owed sex from women, and women are not owed commitment or tax dollars to skim off productive men. Sounds like perfectly fair deal to me. Sure, but women are not having it.

Well, unless it was something about either going to school or not being able to find a job after graduating. I'm a little odd in some ways, but not anything that you usually think of as being objectionable.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/20 02:57 AM

No, as in multiple women have thrown screaming hissy fits, sometimes on first dates (usually blind) and sometimes just hitting on them in bars, which is the single (notable) time one of them started trying to get the other men in the bar to beat me up.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/20 11:07 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/20 02:14 PM

I've always wanted children and wouldn't date a man who told me he had a vasectomy. Which is why I used to mention it during the first meeting. Again, the almost universal response is massive anger.

Yea, no, these were women I had just met in bars and such.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/20 12:11 PM

Why would a woman go nuts about you having a vascectomy to the point she's planning an assault against you? The general idea seems to be that I was taking away their right to get pregnant by me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/20 12:11 PM
2

Why the hell are they all pissed? They don't stop to explain themselves, but the general idea that I get is that they felt that it was taking away their right to get pregnant by me.

As someone with friends and family in the military, who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan (both of which were explicitly invasions), I find the idea that any of them raped anyone offensive in the extreme. The basic fact of the matter is that the vast majority of rapes are committed by a vanishingly small percentage of men. In the past, you might have had a point, but not in this country in this century.

I was living with the woman who sabotaged our condoms, and engaged to be married to the one who quit taking her pills. get snipped I did that, and every woman I mention it to gets insanely upset about it, I.e. throwing screaming hissy fits in public and trying to get other men to beat me up. I haven't dated in 10 years.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/20 06:04 PM

What did luck have to do with it? These were women I had known and trusted for years. This was selfishness and spite.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/20 06:01 PM

After two women sabotaged birth control to get pregnant by me without my consent, you had better fucking believe that I am "concerned" with a woman's motivation to have sex! "Is she looking for a good time or does she want to ruin my life just for kicks?" is an unfortunately important question.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/20 05:47 PM

All men would rape under the right circumstances You are taking the behavior of perhaps 2% of men and applying it to all men. If what you are saying were true, pretty much all women would be raped on a weekly basis.

I have a few: Men want you to act slutty, but only for them (or possibly another woman/friend). Men do not only want sex, it is just usually higher on our list of priorities... and some people are just scumbags, regardless of gender. Men will deal with your insecurities, mood swings and temper tantrums exactly to the extent that you make it worthwhile. Men need to feel valued, too, just for different things than women do. Then one that gets its own section: Expressing emotion. Most men have been…

I think that I would drop that woman like a sack of potatoes. Don't get me wrong, I expect to pay for dinner, and am fine being the "director" of the relationship (I.e. picking a restaurant after asking and she "doesn't care"), but if you never initiate contact with me, I assume that you are not interested. If you want me to like you, don't "act" at all. Be yourself, because that's who I want to know before committing.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/20 08:12 PM
1

Yea, I have the confidence, but no game. Why not? Because I was a 9/10 (6'2", 210lb, muscular, played soccer and wrestled, blond hair, blue eyes) in high school and girls jumped into my arms. As you point out, though, even then, there were girls that I was "not good enough" for. I would regularly ask a girl out, only to be met with rolling eyes and a scoff, then her girlfriends mocking me for even daring to ask. 30 years later... and I don't care so much :)

Society would collapse. Who would construct buildings? Weld pipes? Fix cars? Drive trucks? Women can do these things, but most don't like to and many are not as capable from a purely physical point of view. And what men are left will be busy either fucking everything in sight or killing themselves and/or others out of frustration.

Lots, yes. I went to college for physics, which is an overwhelmingly male-dominated discipline... not because of sexism, but because it is crazy difficult and most women (and lots of men) change majors pretty quickly. The problem was that, due to efforts to get more women into the field and limited budgets, female students got all of the support. I did not have a senior project, because there was no money left after funding a bunch of projects by women who then changed majors. We will not even d…

What difference would it make? The cheating thing makes no sense to me; are there common situations where someone might be inclined to cheat, but she is only attracted to men and only women around, etc? That is the only circumstance where it would matter. As a man, I have dated straight women, bisexual women, and have had several torrid affairs with "lesbians," both singles and couples. If I have noticed any difference at all, it is that straight women are more likely to be prudes.

I dont know what source you are using, but it was common enough in Renaissance Europe to be a plot point in Romeo & Juliet that Juliet was almost 14 and still unmarried. The average age of marriage for highborn girls in the Roman Empire has been estimated to be between 13 and 16. The Western European Marriage Pattern you are referring to didn't start until the 1600s, and is still not universal, as the youngest legal marriage age in the US is... 12.

Single and sexless for ~five years, myself, following two terrible relationships and one torrid affair with an old high school girlfriend. I am not an incel, though; I am tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed, employed, and not in terrible condition for mid-forties. I could go out and meet women to have sex with, I just don't see the point. I want a companion; a friend to share the experiences of the world with. Sex is certainly one of those experiences, but it is so much better as part of a package.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/20 01:17 PM

That's fine. What is not fine is then turning around and calling men shallow for liking skinny women with large breasts, complaining about said "tall attractive" men being self-centered, or rejecting average men out of hand when you do not measure up yourself.

Some of those are true, some of them are slanted, and some are simply incorrect; teenage mothers have far fewer post-pregnancy issues. But all of that is beside the point, which is that, biologically, they have the urges to have sex, and if your goal is to have as many children as possible, you don't want to wait too long after puberty to start. This is why girls used to get married off at 12.

They got caught, and she was given a choice: Testify against the man for statutory rape, or face charges of prostitution herself. He wound up getting 30 years in prison. Men are attracted to youth - better able to bear more children. Women are attracted to power - better able to protect and care for children. Our society reinforces this; "sexy schoolgirl and stern teacher," is one of the more common sexual fantasies, for both men and women. Add in the fact that, biologically, females are ready, willing and able to have sex at far younger ages than our mores proscribe, and the issue appears to have as much to do with exaggerated morality as a lack of same.

poison pill provisions? OK, put yourself in the position of a conservative politician faced with overwhelming support for women's liberation, however few actually identify as feminist. You can stall, you can oppose, you can filibuster... but at some point, you can't hold back the tide, so what do you do? You add an amendment that seems to appeal to the feminists, but will actively hurt men, with the idea being that they will become upset and oppose the entire idea. This is what is happening here…

What if a father is against leaving a child in a safe haven? It depends. In Tennessee, for example, if the parents are not married, the father does not get parental rights, at all, so the best he could do would be to try to adopt the child, but the state takes any kind of extramarital or premarital affairs of evidence of being an unfit parent, so that is almost impossible. He still has to pay child support, though, in any case.

the same work That's the problem: Men and women do not do, "the same work." 93% of on-the-job deaths are men; are men just clumsier than women? Or are men more willing to accept more dangerous jobs? And is it that hard to see the biological reasons for that? Where is the government program to get more women into mining? Why haven't I heard any calls for plumbing companies to hire women as 50% of their plumbers? (And how would they do that?!) When are you going to go learn how to drive a big rig …

In other words, there are biological differences between the sexes, and that justifies men getting the short end of the stick, but when it results in a worse outcome for women (e.g. pay gap), that is not acceptable and must be fixed? Perhaps you begin to see my problem with that line of thinking,

Neither pro-life nor red pill (exactly...), but there is a point there: There is a gap in reproductive rights between men and women. I am in the camp that thinks that we should be remedying such disparities by granting rights rather than restricting them, though, which means that I support Legal Parental Surrender, and think that, until we have it, we are living in an oppressive totalitarian society.

we can probably view “exactly five” as a number influenced largely by noise I discarded it as an outlier :D Continuing on, it’s at the 11-20 range that men experience a real drop and that women start to pick back up somewhat As I said, you can't compare them on a 1:1 basis, and the trend line is completely different for women. The fact that the gap between one and two is more than between that and two hundred suggests to me that mens’ history is “recorded” in the brain as more of a “virgin true-…

What I see there are a couple of things: The first, key data point that you need to know is that women initiate 70% of divorces. The entire discussion revolves around that piece of information. First, for men, there is a clear, linear trend where having had more partners reduces the odds of a "very happy" marriage (although that language makes me wonder what the underlying rubric and data sets look like), the obvious conclusion of which is that women place more importance on fidelity once in a r…

It is a contradiction. Not to dismiss true victims who are all too often ignored (as if this doesn't happen to men, too), but rape and sexual assault ACCUSATIONS are powerful weapons against men that all too many women are willing to grab when convenient (again, not that men will not lie about being victims, as well). Women get so much automatic social respect, though, that it can create serious problems for men... which means treating them equally doesn't work, either. Men and women ARE differe…

I haven't seen a noticeable amount of TBPers here insisting that men bad / women good. Then you are not paying attention; that is the subtext of their entire argument, that any problems that men face is their own fault because they have all the power, as if all men were CEOs and politicians or if those who were cared about other men, at all. That's how they shrug off anything RP.

BP isn't the polar opposite of RP, it's "man and women are equal. They are just people and some people are good and others bad". Um, no; no it is not, by any stretch of the imagination. BP thinks that men are oppressing women in society and have no reason to complain about anything because they are the majority of CEOs and politicians. Wait, which "Marriage 1.0," exactly? The one where you snuck into the neighboring village and abducted a young woman to be your wife? Or the one where you were given a wife by her father as part of a business deal or negotiation? Or the one where your brother died without having any kids so you have to marry his widow? Yes, there are problems, but there have always been problems, and pretending that we can solve them by going backwards is foolishness. The only way out is forward.

Everyone in your denomination are responsible, sweet, loving men with good jobs who don't smoke or drink, etc? That seems unrealistic. And job matters. Rent is high. Most women don't "bait and switch" on purpose I don't think you or I or anyone else is even remotely qualified to speak to women's motivations in this matter. And note the different tone: "toxic masculinity" is an evil that must be addressed, regardless of the details, but women behaving badly is OK as long as they didn't do it on purpose? Double standards.

how any group can literally say, "gendered words are meaningful to the intent," and then, "...but FEMINISM is for both women AND men," without their heads exploding from cognitive dissonance is beyond me. But the very term "feminism" prioritizes women, and effectively demolishes men as a gro…

Your first 3 links do not support your contention, and from the 4th: Nature versus nurture The sources of gender identity are debated. Some believe that masculinity is linked to the male body; in this view, masculinity is associated with male genitalia. Others have suggested that although masculinity may be influenced by biology, it is also a cultural construct.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/18 12:41 AM
1

The ideas society holds about how a Real Man is or how a man should behave are often based on sexual dimorphism, but when we talk about masculinity we refer to those ideas only. No, we don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/18 11:27 PM
1

Masculinity is a social construct, but that doesn't mean that it's entirely cultural. All it actually means is that masculinity only refers to the ideas society has how men are and should be, but not to the biological nature of how men are. Did you read this back after you wrote it? How can masculinity "not [refer] to the biological nature of how men are," but still not be entirely cultural?

This is both the origin of the phrase (within feminist theory) That alone should make it suspect; how any group can literally say, "gendered words are meaningful to the intent," and then, "...but FEMINISM is for both women AND men," without their heads exploding from cognitive dissonance is beyond me. and predominantly how I see it used in this subreddit. I've read that for men, gayness is genetic but for women it is cultural/social. What do you think? I think that it is a combination of factors, for both. Women do seem to have a more fluid sexuality, though; most of the women that I have dated would admit to at least finding women attractive, even if they weren't sexually aroused by them, while most men I know are baffled at the concept of finding another man attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/18 12:41 PM

It could be that women make - and break - relationships more easily, in general. One might conclude, then, that women have a more forgiving nature, but that would also argue against women having a superior claim to morality. All of this would agree with my experience, but I hesitate to generalize based on my - admittedly batshit-fucking insane - experiences.

They do not hold women to the same standard as men for child support, at all. The system is insanely biased in favor of women.

This isn't even related to that; I've got to find a special education lawyer. I'm having to sue because one of the teachers incited another kid into attacking my son, then had him arrested when he fought back.

I had an IEP meeting for my youngest son where we sat down with his teachers to discuss his learning plan. I suggested giving him more book assignments and reports to write, but his English teacher immediately objected: "I don't want to have to read the book so I'll know if he read it; I don't read very well." Baffled, I turned to the Gifted teacher and asked if she would be willing to incorporate book reports into the Gifted class: "I don't really read very well, either." Assistant principle, w…

I have never been exposed to what I would consider a good educational system, no. It's a top-down problem, though; the standards are so low, the regime so inflexible, and so many important concepts and lessons are missing... Worse than that, though, the people involved seem to have the most skewed idea of what exactly they are supposed to be accomplishing and how exactly they are supposed to be going about it. It's Dunning-Kruger on a massive scale; people with no clue about anything but a lot o…

Do you really believe education related masters degrees are useless and don't actually mean anything? If anything, they are worse than useless in that they turn reasonably intelligent people into brainwashed idiots spewing the pseudo-intellectual garbage that has ruined our education system. having gone over these stats, have you changed your mind about men being the ones who do more unpaid work? You seem to be trying very, very hard to inject the topic of how hard single fathers can have it when that was never in discussion. From your top post: A big factor of the wage gap is women sacrificing career (going part time, not working as hard, taking time off, or quitting altogether) to raise children. What, exactly, do you propose to do about that? Biologically, more women are going to tend to want to stay home and raise kids than men, but in some cases, men are going to wind up staying hom…

Fascism isn't defined by what it isn't, but more by what it is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism "One common definition of the term focuses on three concepts: the fascist negations (anti-liberalism, anti-communism and anti-conservatism)..." celebration of masculinity And I have no idea where this idea came from; it's in the wiki definition, too, but this is effectively saying that women could never lead a fascist movement... which is absurd.

Men get less residential time with their kids in a divorce because they have sacrificed more family/caretaking time in order to focus on their careers and primary residential custodianship often takes into account which parent spent more time doing the caretaking. Playing on insecurities is being a dickhead. People don't like dickheads. Don't be a dickhead. If someone thinks sex is enough justification for being a dickhead they will always be judged negatively. Since many many many men have been able to obtain it without being a dickhead. ....but this is what works! Yes, 1% of women will respond to that first pickup line, but that leaves 99% that will respond to the 2nd; even if you are interested in an LTR, even if you have the most honest intentions in …

I literally think that I have PTSD from my relationships: I don't sleep well; I have trouble eating a lot of the time; I have wound up in the hospital 3 times with heart palpitations and shortness of breath, but they can't find any reason for it; I black out and find myself in strange places, huddled under bushes, up in a tree, once.

That's not what I am trying to say (and, of course, that is at least partly my fault). I am talking about the double standard that women have in that they, in effect, are the gatekeepers of relationships, but are allowed to disclaim responsibility for what are, at best, technicalities. I'm trying not to make it too personal to my situation, but having my pick-up line thrown in my face as justification for fucking me over 10 years later by suggesting that I wasn't that interested in her (and she …

But it's not about truth vs lies; PUAs in a singles bar aren't hitting on women who aren't looking to get laid, are they? My impression of RP is the idea that many of the prevalent cultural concepts, specifically about gender relations, are mistaken if not outright lies. I saw this going more in the other direction growing up. don't get me wrong I knew a handful of sociopathic, drug-addicted women as a kid, but most of the discarding was done by men abandoning their women and kids. But the percentage of total people in prison is only 0.91%. And over a third of that is women. 5% of Americans have been or will be in prison at some point in their lives; less than 7% of prisoners are female. That's because they don't count prison rape in those statistics: https://theintercept.com/2017/11/21/prison-rape-sexual-assault-violence/ There are about 4 times as many men sexually assaulted, just in prison, as women, total.

Right; so how can you possibly make the claim the men, as a group, have more privilege when the very few men who have such privilege aren't using it to benefit anyone other than themselves?

The statement that the average man has less privilege than the average woman can be valid even if the total population of men has more privilege than the total population of women. The only way that can be true is if you are assuming that the large 1% male privilege is more important the small 99% female privilege, and even then.... for most people, that's not how it is! It is possible for men to have more privilege in total but for the average man to less privilege than the average woman. This is because the benefits of male privilege are distributed unevenly to the top. That has to be the most incredibly bizarre way of looking at the world I have ever heard of. So, even though 99% of men have less privilege, that the top 1% have a lot more means that, overall, men, as a group, have more privilege? I know for a fact AVFM is not a hate site I know for a fact that it is. Does the SPLC not understand the idea of satire and spectacle Yes, they do, which is why they pointedly refused to label the entire Men's Rights Movement as a hate group. My guess, is you had a disagreement, and started making personal insults to people with a different opinion. My experience has been exactly the opposite, although it depends entirely on both the man and the woman. I'm a big guy; 6'3", 250#, a little overweight at 40 but I carry it well. My high school wrestling weight was 220# (which is why I quit wrestling; bottom end of heavy weight is no place to be). The most common negative comment I overheard from girls back then was, "He's just too bulky, too much muscle is gross." Now, this wasn't universal by a long shot; plenty of girls still found me attract…

Uh, say what? This has been the exact opposite of my experience! First of all, some clarification: Most people completely misunderstand BDSM. The Dom is the actor, the one who does things, while the Sub is acted upon, the one who has things done to him or her. It is about both power and responsibility. This is the crucial part, though: The Sub is the one who is in control! They have, variously, the Safe Word, divorce, a gun/knife/poison, etc, the power to end the situation, but the responsibilit…

9) If the kid is not his and he decides to leave, should he be obligated to support the mother financially? Or on contrary should he be dropped of any responsibility? Should the mother be punished? If the father put his name on the birth certificate, he has the obligation to pay child support and I think he should, the mother should not be punished. You are a scumbag.

Except that you've just made it a legal problem in addition to the existing moral problem, and have only exacerbated both. You cannot legislate morality, and trying to do so only against one gender is even worse of an idea.

This. I can either have a legal responsibility, or I can have a moral responsibility; not both. If the law wants to hold me accountable (and interfere in my life, making it harder to accomplish anything), then my sense of moral responsibility completely goes away.

Not talking about me, here; I'm not TRP, remember? I find it to be juvenile. What is this about "acquiescing" to anything? TRP is fundamentally about codifying a mode of interaction between men and women based on stereotypical differences in psychology between the genders; that this ignores outliers, distinctions, and is often taken to be a "black and white" situation (the way you seem to be) is problematic, but no more so than the politically-correct nonsense that is being shoved down our throa…

First, default 50/50 custody, with provable abuse or neglect required to change it. Second, "paper abortion." I don't know how it is in Texas, but in my state, you can't sue over this stuff; the people involved are protected. The problem as I see it is that the mother was using this child's illness to keep him away from the father, and because he didn't have parental rights from the outset, he never had a chance to learn the truth.

But keeping black people poor IS a racial issue; they are inextricably linked. That's not how empirical evidence works unfortunately Neither law nor sociology are empirical. without data we can't determine whether other factors contributed to them being locked up for drug charges. But living in poorer neighborhoods is ALSO part of the problem, as I linked to at the end. There are plenty of controls that need to be put in place before the data actually shows a correlation to racial discrimination. Is bodily autonomy as it applies to women's rights (the right to abortion) and as it applies to men's rights (the right to intact genitals) unrelated to you? I was saying that the abortion argument is unrelated because it is about women's rights, not men's rights. I'm right there with ee4m, but I also see MRAsshole's point :) We ignore biology at our peril; that's not to say that we are slaves to it, but pretending that men are going to interact in ways that are fundamentally contrary to our instinctive behavior is going to lead to harmful outcomes. Men struggle with one another, even fight; I met some of my best childhood friends by getting into fights with them. It wasn't that they won or lost, or even if they were good at it, but that they were willing…

So, you're saying that men are more competent? Sexist! In point of fact, women often "attempt" suicide as a cry for help, and so use less lethal methods. Men don't expect a cry for help to be answered.

How were men more active than women? Women were certainly active while gathering, hunting smaller animals and watching children all day long. And this is where modern feminism goes just completely off the rails: No, women simply are not, on average, as physically capable as men, and this is an obvious legacy of our evolutionary past, where men had to be more physically active, or rather, the genes of the ones who weren't didn't survive. Women did not face this evolutionary pressure, and it doesn…

I mean you're kindof blaming it on women I'm not trying to blame anyone; things change, people must change accordingly, there will be conflict as people adjust. It's unavoidable. Like I said, some men just don't get it, others interpret even the most non-sexual attention as romantic. Women can do these things as well. I disagree with the premise; women are supposed to signal first, and men are supposed to pick up on the signal. The problem is that modern women have taken all of the traditional signals (e.g. revealing attire) and said, "No, those aren't necessarily signals," which gets them a wider array of potential mates, but puts the blame on men when they reject them, which they do more often. Frankly, while I disagree with the PUA philosophy, it is a perfectly natural and, in retrospect, inevitable respon…

Not necessarily; homo sapiens actually age differently from most other animals. Most animals have a short adolescence, long adulthood, then a brief, fast decline into senescence and death. In a nomadic existence, when you can't keep up with the pack/herd/tribe, you get left behind and die. You could argue that it came about after civilization, when the elderly could live sedentary lives and still contribute, but that narrows the time frame down from ~75,000 years (the advent of language) to ~10,…

Well, it had to be a mutation, sure. Most animals don't have extended senescence, though, so at some point, there had to be two groups, one which tended to die shortly after menopause age and one that didn't, and the one that didn't was more successful. If you further postulate that this happened after the development of language, the result starts to make sense; just another 10 or 15 years of adult life means that you can see longer trends, and if you can pass that knowledge on, you increase th…

If you read carefully my answer you'll find, that I did in fact remade those I didn't see any possible way of getting from "Believe all that the Church teaches" to anything that you said. Hm, if you don't believe in any system of religion or ideology, what is your base of "moral code"? Well, I didn't say that I don't believe in any system of ideology, but neither religion nor ideology are sources of morality. I believe that morals are founded in evolutionary psychology and sociology, in particul…

I like Karen Straughan; she makes some excellent points. That being said, her knowledge of sociology and history is weak, she has some bad information, and she comes to some erroneous conclusions. Part of the problem is that giving women the choice to step into men's roles has actually diminished men; we don't have the choice, and now we are competing with people that we are supposed to be competing for. Another part is that there are, ultimately, two ways to go about making unequal groups equal…

I'm hesitant to use labels in general This is where I am; I prefer to talk about actions and ideas rather than people. I don't see feminism being reclaimed any time soon No, but it's going to have to happen, sooner or later, and the later it happens the longer things are going to suck. I do think that feminism needs to fade into irrelevancy. I wish we didn't need either feminism or the MRM; I'm not sure that's a realistic goal, though. Why give the dictionary that kind of authority? The people who write the dictionary aren't experts in the objective truth of word-meanings Because it suits our ends. he and many others like him (including myself in the past) believed in a definition that was, quite literally, propaganda Is it? Why do we have to be one or the other? By the dictionary definition, I am a feminist; I believe in equal treatment of the sexes. I just disagree with 95% of what the modern feminist movement does. I don't think that we should demonized them, though; we should support the feminists who agree with us, and they exist, so that they reclaim the movement and deprive the current feminist leaders of power.

I cannot even begin to address this issue; I simply cannot comprehend anyone abandoning their children. Even at their mothers' worst, it never even crossed my mind to leave our children in their sole care. That would be madness, even if it drove me mad.

It means that they let the parole board decide. Women automatically get 14 points towards the 20 needed for parole, so unless she is a constant trouble maker in prison, she'll be out in 16 months.

It's never simple, but the fact is that women are less likely to be charged, less likely to be convicted, and get shorter sentences than men for the same crime and with the same record. Women also get automatic points towards parole just for being women; you need 20 points, they get 14 automatically. Men get 0.

Rather than just "exploited", maybe traditional cultures that survived did so by being more successful than their competitors? I didn't imply a negative connotation on "exploited;" yea, that's what had to happen for society to continue. That isn't the case anymore, though, and you're still stuck in the traditionalist/feminist dichotomy. We can be so much more.

I was with it until this: Obedience is not always a desirable behavior for which to strive. An extreme example in history is what happened (or failed to happen) to the conscience of the German nation during the Holocaust It's starting to come out, now that they are all old and dying; they liked Hitler. There are households all over Germany where his picture still hangs on the wall.

Well, now you're trying to twist it the other way: I'm not attacking feminists, either! Yes, I am in Tennessee. Seems exaggerated. Also if the roles were reversed are there similar punishments ? I thought that it was crazy, too, and that surely someone would see sense, but no. Women are always assumed to be the victims; if the roles were reverse, they would think it a shame that the male was underage so they couldn't prosecute him for talking dirty to an innocent woman.

The real irony is that I was raised by strong women, grew up inculcated in the idea that you must respect and honor women... But these assholes have managed to beat that out of me. The constant harassment, the institutional discrimination, and the uncaring attitudes of society at large have turned my attitudes around completely. No, anyone who wants my respect or honor has to earn it; that's how it's always been for men, and if women want real equality, that's where it has to start.

Tennessee has been like this for a long time. As a man who didn't marry one of the women I got pregnant, I have no parental rights, even though I get visitation and have to pay child support. If her mother died, I would have to try to adopt her, and the odds of that being allowed are effectively zero. The courts are also crooked; if I had to guess, I'd say that the people adopting the child probably paid $5,000 under the table to ram this through, if it was even that expensive.
