Yes this is pretty much where I am at. I can’t make it work on love alone. I think the time of year is making it even more difficult.

No dating. Like I said its only been about seven months since everything went down. I am not at a point where that’s even on my radar.

Its final. I filed at the end of May and moved out in June.

Yeah there’s only a 60 day waiting period in Texas. Its been more than twice that now and still haven’t gotten a response from the court. Really frustrating.

I moved out in June. Final agreement is signed. Just waiting for the court to make it official. We were officially eligible July 31. And put in for it not long after. I don’t understand why its taking so long. I really need to move on with my life and to make her realize this is actually happening.

This feels very familiar. We were married 14 years and I never felt as strongly as she did about me. She talked about me almost like she was obsessed. I love you so much a million times a day. Can I keep you forever? Those kinds of lines all the time. Constant compliments about what a great guy or dad I was. Talking about how I still give her butterflies or whatever. I just never really felt that way with her. I have tried at several points during our relationship to get out. Including not long …

I realize this in the part of my brain that is still capable of reason. But I have been suffering through quite a bit of abusive behavior and manipulation since finding out about all this. If our genders were reversed there would be grounds for some kind of assault charges and a protection order. Any kind of functional co parenting relationship here is entirely dependent on how much shit I can suffer with a smile. So I am not really worried about that.

As long as what has been signed goes through I am paying $1,077/month in child support, the state required amount. 25% of income I believe is the calculation. Plus insurance costs, half of health expenses beyond that and half of education expenses. Not college. No alimony. Like I said I get that in the end all this will probably do is end about the same way just with more legal bills. I am just running on emotion right now. Now she says the refund check is a fraud based on what her friend heard.…

Yeah I overreacted because he sounded like my wife back when I first posted about this situation with my real account.

There were a lot more than just financial problems. And Im not blameless. But $30,000 is a lot of money when you’ve been struggling your whole life and most likely always will be. And I am not losing my kids. They have always spent more time with me and that’s not going to change. She’s far more interested in her grandchildren at this point and has been pretty disconnected as a parent most of our relationship. I don’t want the legal battle and to make things worse then they already are. But I ha…

Yeah, really looking closer at everything she has said and done in the three months since I found out about the debt, and especially in the two months since I moved out is a huge red flag. She is very good at convincing me to forget everything and get back together. And with all the added expenses of moving out and paying for a lawyer I really dont want to get into more debt for this trip. I have been door dashing a bit to bring in a little extra cash but its not much. And I am worried that my c…

Is there a way to search online? I saw the official government website but not sure what to put in there.

She signed the final decree and I gave it to my lawyer. But the first day the divorce can be finalized is the 31st. The first day of our trip and her birthday. I am sure it won’t actually be finalized that day but it’s just a terrible coincidence. I am still concerned she could go get or has already gotten her own lawyer and try to pull some shit. She has threatened it, but I don’t know what she would get out of it other than making my life hell for who knows how long. She says she has already f…

I have been debating this quite a bit. Going, not going. Don’t really have the money but the hotel and plane ticket are already paid. And like i said I don’t get to go on vacation very often. But I used it to get her to sign so I don’t want to go back on my word either. Thought about changing seats and doing things without her but I also feel bad that it’s her 50th birthday and don’t want to leave her alone. Plus some of the things we have planned are paid for and will take up quite a bit of tim…

Thanks. I go to the gym and get moderate exercise. Was in a pretty good routine the last half of last year. Going to the gym five times a week for about an hour every time and still never lost any weight over about three months. I have to count it as a win that I didn’t gain any either on these meds. But I know without serious changes to my diet that all this work is still not really going to get me anywhere.

Luckily she has had her tubes tied for more than a decade. And is turning 50 (almost 10 years older than me) pretty much past child bearing years.

No infidelity. Although I had an “emotional affair” before we were married and early on into our marriage. The first one before we were married was part of me trying to end the relationship, but that didn’t work out so well. She’s basically threatened to get a lawyer and use behavior from years ago against me. Im bipolar and was going through a months long manic episode. Tried to get away from her then too. Had moved out for a couple months. But I was out of my mind and tried to do some stupid s…

Yes her behavior since I found the last straw has helped me stay away. As has moving out. And all the horror stories I’ve read of what exes have done. And she’s already threatened me with trying to seek alimony and such. I know her desperate begging for sex and friendship has a real good chance of screwing me in more ways than one.

I filed about three weeks ago. Tried to keep living in the same house because paying the extra rent and bills until September is going to be tight. We work opposite schedules so that helped. Moved into a different bedroom but she would not respect any kind of boundaries I asked for so I got my own apartment.

Yes. We haven’t had sex since the night before I moved out of the house a little over two weeks ago. But she is trying real hard to get that done. I’m only communicating with her about the kids and divorce stuff but she’s making that as difficult as possible. I’m just trying to get this all settled as peacefully and cheaply as I can, but I’m fairly certain she is not going to let that happen.
