I think a lot of the time when we talk about "confidence" we could more so use the word "security", as in the opposite of "insecurity". I think confidence translates in a lot of people's minds as peacocking, or being very extroverted and cocky even. I think the real underlying quality is self esteem and being secure in oneself. Even quiet guys can have the juice if they're just really comfortable in themselves, think Boomhauer from king of the hill as an archetype of that.

How many times do we have to see posts like this? People are attracted to a variety of personalities and looks.

I don’t feel in awe of anyone. I might find them really attractive, and some more than others, but everyone’s human at the end of the day. She shits and has dumb opinions like anyone else, nothing to be in awe of imo.

If two years have passed I doubt it’s about her anymore. It’s about something else. Some part of you that doesn’t feel fulfilled. Sex isn’t hard to obtain anymore so it’s lost a lot of it’s zeal and allure. Maybe you want someone to make you feel heard and understood. Maybe some other part of your life is deeply unsatisfying, maybe your ex has just become an easy scapegoat. Reflect, introvert a bit, ask yourself what do you really want out of this life.

This kind of thing happens and probably has more to do with safety in her eyes than using you to look good in front of her coworkers as some of these comments suggest. I agree, it can be uncomfortable and I too would prefer a heads up, but you either make it work or walk away. You made your choice, which is understandable. You maybe could have been more polite about it or articulated that the group makes you uncomfortable before you left. Either way, yeah it is what it is. I would take it with a…

I mean it's not 100% guaranteed to be weird or cause problems but it often can point to the man being immature on some level. I'm 30 and don't really have much interest in dating younger than 25. It's not because I think women under 25 are children, it's just because, from experience, I don't have much in common with them and they typically don't have the communication skills I want in a partner at this point in my life. Again, it doesn't have to be weird by definition but a 10 year age gap def …

For me what helps is chilling out on sex a little. Like focus on having fun, cool, memorable dates and don’t focus on getting laid. It kinda makes the sex better, kinda like how good a beer tastes if you only drink once a week versus having beer every day.

30 dating an 18 year old is pretty sus because it’s like, wtf do you have in common? Me being 30, 25 is about as young as I can go comfortably. Otherwise I start to feel like a father or older brother figure and it starts feeling weird lol.

Yeah, but for every sorority girl that fucked 20 guys, there’s people that pretty much never have sex. There’s also people who only stay in long term relationships and then later get married. I think we sometimes have this feeling that everybody around us has a better sex life than us, when really a lot of people go through long dry spells, esp if they are people who are perpetually single / don’t seek committed relationships

A lot of these comments just sound like hurt men talking out of pain and frustration. The line “giving her the world trying to win her over”, is loaded with issues. Why are you trying to”win her over”? That just sounds like someone who can’t take a hint that she’s not interested. On top of that, trying too hard and giving your all like that is uncomfortable and points to a lack of self confidence. People aren’t perfect, I can speak for myself when I say I’ve done similiar things to women in my p…

Interesting. Well man, I wouldn’t take it too personally, there’s nothing glaringly wrong about you or any real red flags. Here’s an idea: do two truths and a lie on your profile, it’s a good way to make yourself more intriguing. Maybe drop some stuff about how you traveled. I think you’re most likely an interesting person but it’s just not coming through on your profile.

Idk,I think emotions are always involved. Imo it’s more about knowing thyself i.e. knowing what you want, and how to express that. I get the feeling you don’t exactly know what you want. You think you want to date around, but actually doing it doesn’t feel great. So you start getting into commitment territory, but you don’t want that either. It’s not a bad thing to take a step back and work on yourself, meditate, and really reflect on things and what you really want out of this life.
/r/seduction10/03/22 08:10 AM

I mean she’s interested, obviously. Just send her memes here and there / text her random shit when you think of her. “Have you seen this movie, I’m watching it now, I think you’d like it.” Can be anything really. She wants an emotional connection, doesn’t necessarily mean she wants a serious relationship, but if you’re not into it, keep looking.

It happens man, I know a lot of sex workers. One is dating a long time client now, and I’ve known sex workers to eventually fuck clients for free. Not saying it’s the norm, but it definitely happens

My two cents: 1) no sex is better than bad sex 2) Sex seems like a bigger deal when you’re not having much of it 3) sex doesn’t fix your problems, it just gratifies the ego temporarily

You’re in a relationship, it’s just casual. It’s fine to ask, in a respectful way, with a neutral tone. If you say it with a shaky voice and like you’re hanging on her every word, yeah that could push her away.

Redditor: has sex “what did I do wrong?” Jk, but hey man that means it felt natural, that’s great. It’s better to go with the flow then seeming like you’re executing some preconceived plan. Congrats on the sex

This is a little cynical but there’s def some truth in it. I found myself falling for someone recently, but started realizing it was more because I was really lonely and she was the only person giving me attention. After I got back up and other people started showing interest, I realized it was me just kind of settling in my mind.

I’m saying most men aren’t going to approach you in a cafe, regardless. You could have been bold and handed him your number on the way out, but there’s no indirect sign you could give most men that would make them come over and talk to you. We’re you sitting close?
/r/seduction26/02/22 06:50 AM

I literally never approach women in cafes, I don’t want them to feel like harassed or bothered. I think most men feel the same way. Plus, not many opportunities to talk unless you’re like in line together or sitting close

Manage your expectations from the beginning. Remember nothings promised. Remember there will always (and I mean always) be another woman. Don’t give up, keep getting back on the horse. You’ll get frustrated and want to quit, but those are the moments where you have break throughs.

Clearly you can’t handle being friends, which is fine, you need to take time apart. There could be a chance to be friends again in The future, but don’t bet on it. Idk if immature is the right word. I’d say maybe unreasonable. Remember that you are allowed to feel whatever way you want, but you’re not allowed to behave anyway you want. It’s natural to feel frustrated or angry, but to express it is…uncalled for. It shows that you lack control of your emotions. Next time, respect their wishes and …

Just to say something different from the other comments: I have noticed, as someone whose weight fluctuates a lot, that environment can make a difference. For instance, somewhere like Chicago, people tend to be more overweight and less active, so you can get away with a gut and be fine. However, when I’m in California or Colorado, or places where people are generally fit and active, I feel much more harshly judged for being overweight. I’ve still pulled in those environments, but id say its a bi…

Forget trying to cater to what you think they want. You’re different, which is good. Talk to them confidently, and you’d be surprised. I think most humans are curious to try new things. I can be a pretty nerdy/dorky looking white guy and I’ve pulled some baddies of all different races, I swear, just because they’re curious and I’m confidently different.

Any time you end one thought and go on to another, usually that’s where you put a paragraph. A paragraph (at least on Reddit) shouldn’t be longer than 5 sentences generally. It makes things a lot easier to read

I think you might be overestimating how much sex others have. The average amount of sex partners for a lifetime in the US is 4. Its not all that tbh. Also sorry for the harshness of my comment I was drunk when I wrote it lol.

Are you gonna be a whiny bitch your whole life? Really, ask yourself that. You think you’re the hardest case thats ever existed? You don’t think anyone has defied greater odds than you? You’re acting pathetic, and I don’t mean that in a harsh way, but in the literal definition of the word. For gods sake man, sex is the only reason any of us exist. Being an astronaut is hard, sticking your penis in a vagina is not. Tighten up.

I got like 8 moles on my face, dry skin, pale af, my skin color is nearly red, and i got a beer gut. My hair is nearly translucent in fluorescent light because I’m super blonde. Trust me, I’ve had my times of being all depressed and thinking nobody wants me, but you gotta keep trying. I can’t feel bad for you if you give up, I’m sorry, but I can’t. People have it harder than you and have defied greater odds. Facts, stop making excuses.
/r/seduction17/02/22 08:51 AM

I think it’s a good way to go about it because people get lose themselves in the pursuit of a lover. I think treating yourself like you’ll always be single, grounds you in yourself more. I’ve also seen countless people stop challenging themselves once they get in a relationship, that or they forget about their personal dreams and desires. It’s a better way to be imo

Omg you’re getting a lot of bad advice, people need to chill. Some people are just busy and flakey. I’ve had this happen before and it ended up being fine. I mean, if that behavior really messes with you, then maybe don’t because you’ll probably end up snapping on her. But me, I don’t really give a shit, and if I didn’t have anything better to do, I would meet up with her and see what’s up.

People lose their nerve sometimes. Not that uncommon. Another situation I’ve seen a few times is the girl is texting you when she’s horny, says a bunch of wild stuff, sleeps on it, isn’t horny anymore. Loses nerve, ghosts.

Not repercussions in the sense of something blowing up in my face. Only in the sense that its not the optimal way of being. It’s better to know what you want and be pretty straight forward about it. I’ve just been wishy washy and I can tell my dates haven’t been knowing how to react to it. It’s okay, today I regained some motivation and I’m feeling more congruent now.

You don’t necessarily have to be “unemotional” or calloused. Most of the time I don’t feel personally insulted by rejection, but I will sometimes just a feel a little tinge of sadness that it didn’t work out. That’s fine! You don’t have to be emotionless, you just have to learn to process your emotions in a healthy way. You need to move on. This is out of the ordinary advice but when I’m trying to get over an obsession like that I do what’s called a banishing ritual. Basically write her name on a piece of paper, or draw a symbol, write her a letter, something like that. Meditate and feel all the pain and embarrassment. Imagine it all going into the piece of paper. Maybe do this at night when you can be alone. Take a half hour at least. When you’re ready, light the paper on fire, and let it all go.

True, as you get older, connection matters more. If I really get a long with someone and have fun with them, that matters a lot more than being hot to me at this point. One of the biggest man-sluts I’ve ever known settled down with someone not conventionally-attractive, when he used to get laid every night with hot, young customers at our bar. You lose your energy to chase young beauties after a while, they’re chaotic, you just want to chill after a certain point.

No sex is better than bad sex: don't force things if there's not much chemistry, no point. THIS A THOUSAND TIMES. I think it’s a great thing to do honestly. I use it often as a gauge if they’re into me or not. Just a simple “dang you look good”, especially if you know she put in a lot of effort. That or I just say “Aw you’re so cute” if she does something cute. The way I say it is like nearly an offhand remark. It’s a genuine expression, and I don’t linger on it, waiting for her response. I think it’s more that it’s attractive when people are confident and live life their own way / don’t follow the script. Maybe a paper pusher has more stability but that’s about it. Life’s short, people wanna have fun.

I have the opposite problem, I can still kill it when I’m overweight so sometimes it deadens my motivation to work out lmao

Just make her feel that youre chill and its no big deal either way whether she takes you up on the offer or not. Just so that you can play it cool if she rejects the offer and you can keep going to the gas station without awkwardness

I think the friend zone just means the guy obsessing over the girl most of the time. Like if you listen to her and back off, and date other people she’ll likely become interested again at some point

Don’t over complicate it in your head. It’s a GENERAL rule, especially for newbies so they don’t scare her away. Just recently I texted somebody so they had my number. They never responded. I technically double-texted them by sending another message to see if they still wanted to meet up. They said “sorry I forgot to respond! I was really busy”, and we made plans to meet up. SO yeah, use your best judgment. It’s only a suggested guide-line

Everybody wants different things, half of dating is figuring out what you like and actually want.
/r/seduction16/01/22 08:45 PM

It seems a little dated. There’s some solid advice but there’s also a lot of parts I kind of side-eyed. I think it could be good for a newbie, but readers should take care not to take it all in as gospel.
/r/seduction15/01/22 06:06 AM

Very good rule of thumb I think. Obviously there’s exceptions, always are. But sometimes you just get stuck chasing people, putting time and energy into changing their mind, trying really hard to make it work, when all the while there are people who would be into you from the start without all that hassle
/r/seduction14/01/22 07:39 PM
1

Yea, feelings are cool, but they’re so deluded and irrational. It would be cool to have a relationship that was enriching and rewarding but seems like most of the ones I witness are the opposite, and people just drag each-other down and hold each other back.
/r/seduction14/01/22 05:35 PM

Yeah I was in about the same spot as you, then the next 5 years I was a himbo. Now I’m just kinda like eh who cares about dating but I just pursue it anyway as it’s a biological trait I can’t really suppress

Those were he best years for me as well. You’re right in the middle. You can date up or date down, and most people in that range are still into casual dating. Now that I’m 30, it’s different. Not horrible, but I feel like we’ve all been there done that at this point and most of us are burnt out on romance lmao

Being conventionally attractive definitely doesn’t hurt but I feel like as men we have more leeway with that. Personality and charisma can make up for A LOT. Short and sweet advice here. Practice socializing in general. Speaking clearly, projecting voice, confidence etc. Get better at talking to peers, old men, women you aren’t attracted to, your neighbors, random people at the store. It will translate to seduction.

A lot of those books and guides only reflect a personal view of dating. There are many different ways to approach dating and sex. It gets very narrow minded on the internet, ridiculously so. It’s hard when you’re starting out because its uncharted territory and therefore you don’t even know what you want. Learn early on though that what matters most is confidence and authenticity. With those two you can be any kind of guy and have success in dating.
/r/seduction15/01/20 09:14 PM

Just make sure you stay focused with classes. Don’t waste a bunch of money to party and flunk out.
/r/seduction14/01/20 06:48 PM

Haha ain’t that true. I think one of the best things to learn early on is to put your fucking phone down and not say anything more than you need to

Hmm yeah I’ll give it a listen

No I slept over at her place the first night and my place the second. She told me to stop being so horny because obviously I’m gonna try to make a move on a hot girl in my bed. We made out a little and that was it but she emphasized wanting to see me again. Oh wow she literally just texted me now to meet up so nvm. Unpredictable right? Haha.
/r/seduction12/01/20 10:38 PM
1

Yeah I think I just did that right now on accident with a girl I’ve hung out with twice. I think I was maybe a little too flirty and since she’s hot she’s used to that and bored of it. Hopefully it works out, I stopped talking to the other girl I was seeing because I was thinking this was a done deal
/r/seduction12/01/20 10:33 PM

Yeah true. I think so much of seduction is subjective. Girls are into vibes and i think different guys offer different vibes and different flavors of seduction.

/r/seduction12/01/20 10:03 PM

Yeah I mean really being a kind person should be the base line for everyone. When it becomes a whole personality it’s kind of sad and pathetic. The reason I asked is because I don’t see that approach of kissing very early working for me. I mean maybe it could but i feel like i usually win over the women I date with an emotional connection of some sort. I have like three outfits and cut my own hair because I’m a broke traveler, so I’m def not making the GQ cover haha.
/r/seduction12/01/20 09:52 PM

I think it has less to do with being nice and more about showing intent and not being afraid to show interest. I think the real issue with “nice guys” is that they’re doing what you said before, just biding time and think if they insert enough nice guy tokens they’ll be rewarded with sex. They don’t realize they can be “nice” and upfront about their desires at the same time. Interesting to hear your perspective. I’ve had times recently where I could be juggling girls but it just doesn’t really a…

Yeah you make good points about the time investment thing. I don’t agree with waiting until the third and fifth date either. If she has to wait that long to have sex with me we’re probably looking for different things. With the girl I mentioned, she was someone that ran with the same crowd as me. I think she had a boyfriend or some drama she didn’t disclose at the time and that’s why she didn’t kiss me in the moment. This is an interesting conversation though. What’s your dating life like? Yeah shit can be weird some times. I can think of three different girls in my life that i somehow ended up in bed with and even fooled around with but never had sex with them and then they slowly ghosted me. True, it definitely doesn’t hurt your case to try early. If she’s interested but not ready she won’t blow you out for trying. Also I laughed at “puta obligation” because I’m living in Mexico right now haha

Pros: no roomies, meaning if you bring a girl home there’s no intrusion and the sexual ambiance isn’t hindered by the awkwardness of roomies. Cons: while roomies can definitely suck they can help keep you out of depression because they give you daily socialization. You can get really gross and depraved living by yourself. There was a study some years ago that went viral showing that people who live alone tend to be way messier. Personally I prefer to live with other people. Even if your roomies …

Eh don’t agree with that logic. Everybody has different comfort levels. Sure some girls will be down for that. Some girls will let you sleep in bed with them on the first date but not kiss them. Ive had times where a girl will play with my dick and make out with me and let me play with her pussy but she won’t fuck me just on the basis of some kind of personal principle. Also it’s not like if you missed a small window to kiss her 15 minutes in that you fucked up and can never kiss her now.

Well yeah don’t shit where you eat. Hooking up with a coworker I’m not completely against but additional drama like that is a no-brainer. I mean you always have the excuse of “sorry I’m blind as fuck” if you get blown out or rejected. This could actually end up opening up the conversation as you turn the tone more friendly. From there maybe she ends up finding you attractive, or maybe she invites you to hang out with her friends, or maybe she just smiles and realizes your not a bad guy and you b…

Looks are not as important as people make it out to be. Im not ugly but I own like three outfits and cut my own hair. I don’t interest people with my looks, I interest them with my lifestyle and personality. I got stories, I’m entertaining, I live an interesting life. Instead of using the word confidence we could also use the word “comfortable”. I’m not loud, a lot of people call me shy. But i don’t give a fuck, I’m comfortable. Your biggest insecurity/weakness ends up your best asset when you embrace it. If you are positive and frank with your experiences, comfortable in your own skin, you could be a really interesting person to date. It’s ok if dating and sex is part of your motivation to get in shape. Sex is perhaps one of the biggest motivators that has ever existed. It just shouldn’t be the only motivation. Well they’re in business so they have to sell an image and market themselves, I don’t mean that as an insult. For example: I have gotten a lot out of the content form RSD through the years but they don’t touch on things like emotional intelligence very often. Also if you look at some of their reading lists, they are informed by some pretty bad science (ie sperm wars) I’ve found personal success in my dating life and it looks nothing like what PUAs do. Because most of us are never going to do wha…

Lol some angry Redditor is downvoting all the comments. I like that this is such a different take on attraction than what is commonly sold and marketed by the big PUAs. I especially like the “you can say the wrong things and have success” I once told this girl that her hair was beautiful. My friend said “that is the most beta-cuck thing I’ve ever heard”. But she was flattered and excited to see me again, we ended up hooking up and having a great connection. My friend probably does and says the “…

I mean that’s basically what i said. Wear clothes that fit and groom and be confident. Not saying you should accept being unhealthy just that the appearance part of dating for men is easy, you don’t have to be ripped or even fit. Long piece would just be about alternate ways to approach making yourself more appealing as that part is the hard part
/r/seduction09/12/19 06:56 PM

I’m just trying to help people in this community because it helped me a lot in my early 20s chump stage, despite a lot of misinformation and bad advice. One day I’m going to write a long piece on my thoughts.
/r/seduction09/12/19 06:42 PM
1

That’s wishful thinking on your part lol. Look at Seth Rogan, or just do a google search. Women are attracted to husky men, they’re also attracted to guys who are sickly thin. There’s no one size fits all. I haven’t watched the videos in a while but Tyler form RSD is bald, and there’s another guy on there whose fatter than me. We have it easy in that department.
/r/seduction09/12/19 06:10 PM
2

Guys don’t realize how easy we have it with physical appearance and expectations. All we really need to do is wear clothes that fit and groom a little, like seriously minimal effort kind of things. I have even had women compliment my pot belly and say that they like it.
/r/seduction09/12/19 05:12 PM

Nice guy detected lol
/r/seduction06/12/19 07:13 PM

I would say it’s because “nice guy” usually refers to a person who is actually manipulative and not really kind. He is going to flip into passive aggressiveness or overt rage the moment he stops getting what he wants, or things aren’t going his way.
/r/seduction06/12/19 05:11 PM
7

This is pretty bad advice given that a lot of people who lurk here, and people in general, aren’t good at picking up social cues; let alone if someone is attracted to them or not.
/r/seduction06/12/19 05:07 PM

ITT: people drawing wide conclusions from narrow experiences. Anytime someone uses the word “real” as in “real man”, “real woman”, “real music” etc. You should take pause and note that whatever is about to be said is a hefty load of garbage. This is like something my boomer aunt would share on Facebook. You don’t think there have been feminine men who’ve had prolific sex lives? Or rugged lumberjacks who’ve died jacking off in the woods alone? This is cringe at its finest.

People like that are not happy. It should be about improving yourself, not manipulating and lying to people. That does not better you or your life, it makes you a sociopath. People like that are playing themselves. Any mature, rational, adult can see through tactics like that. Those tactics unfortunately work on people with low self esteem that have probably already been through many other toxic relationships. The narcisist is born from a wounded ego. These guys probably got cheated on or unfair…

My theory is that when people put “no hook ups” it’s just to weed out tactless guys who are gonna send a dick pic on the third message. I think most of the time a woman just wants a guy who is comfortable and respectful and doesn’t have some desperate need for validation. I think the vast majority of men are tone-deaf and don’t realize that they basically are coming off like starved wolves frothing at the mouth.

If it’s casual fun who cares? When it comes to relationships I think dating significantly younger comes with complications in the logistics department. I.e. they are likely in a way different stage of life than you, their personality is still changing constantly, whereas you may be tired of dating and ready to settle, it is still new and exciting for them etc. It can still work but proceed with caution when getting feelings involved
