I mean moving as in packing up all your shit and moving to anew city or place.

When I first got interested in personal development and seduction I lived in a boring shit town.

If I went out to the bars, I was guaranteed to see at least six people I went to high school with.

The dating scene was dead, seemingly everybody was cuffed up in their relationships except me.

On top of all of that i lived with my parents in my childhood room. What was interesting about me? I never left my hometown, I played video games most of my free time, and I was insecure to the point of having suicidal ideation.

You often hear the quote “wherever you go, there you are”. Seeming to imply that traveling or moving isn’t going to solve your internal problems which is 100% true, but...

Moving/traveling forces you out of your comfort zone. When I moved to a big city, I had to learn how to use public transport, I had to cook for myself, I had to become better with my finances and time management. It forced me to become better.

Not only that but the dating pool is much bigger in a city then my shit town obviously. Loads of single people, and I found that I was perceived as less weird in a city environment. Whereas in my shit town, anybody with slightly thick framed glasses is considered a hipster.

My point is that moving your life elsewhere can actually be the first step towards making your life a whole lot better.

I’m not usually a big fan of Jordan Peterson but he had an appearance on Theo Von’s podcast and they were talking about how you can become comfortable in your personal hell.

Even though things are shit, you’re the frog in boiling water and prefer to stay in your hell because it’s what you know.

However, taking a risk, while scary because it presents unknowns, can actually end up giving you more comfort in the long run. You may be pleased to find it was easier than you expected, and if it comes with burdens, there is a comfort in knowing that you chose those burdens rather than just living with the burdens you were dealt by circumstance.

TL;DR: Moving/traveling won’t solve all your problems but it sure can help a whole fuck of a lot.
