All that work for nothing but pain and misery.

You got downvoted (unsurprisingly) but I also know someone who rakes in 5 figures on OF. That person in the article is not a top earner.

I don’t feel sorry for her at all. He’s been in and out of jail most of his adult life. Is that the kind of man you want raising your children? Especially young sons? Him running away was probably the best thing for her if she changed her mindset on being a personal rehabilitation center for broke bums.

Me too! I still remember laying in bed singing along to it while thinking of whatever man I had a crush on at that time. Lol

I’d be wary that this month it’s more money for food, then later on asking for more money for utilities, then rent, etc. Look at what he said his money will be for in the future. Nothing to benefit her, it’s all about his goals. He probably spoke to his buddies and realized they were getting a bigger cut from their girlfriends and decided to request more.

If you read the Twitter thread taking him to task, he states that he could’ve paid a bill with the date money since he didn’t get laid. This is why we should stay away from broke or frugal men who have to choose between a date and paying their bills.

The dating subs are full of, “I would love to go on a walk in the park on a first date!” responses when men suggest it. 😐🤨

It’s her equivalent of writing a breakup letter then burning it so she could move on and put the past behind her. Mimi is a diva, so her method would be a bit more dramatic! Lol

I believe many men are way more attracted to each other than the average person would assume. It’s easy to just deny even considering that, because the truth would be too painful. They way most men go after sex and having their needs met like it’s as much of a necessity as breathing, has me believing they’ll consider getting off from other men.

Exactly! He was either resting her to see what she would accept, or he just was looking for an out, but because she showed her cards of desperation by asking to tag along, he took her up on it. I bet the next genuine date will be at his or her house, on the couch, then the bed. 🙄

I love this. Reaffirms my stance on refusing to go 50/50. I get dragged and downvoted all over Reddit in other subs when this topic comes up. I’m thrilled you stuck to your guns, because one day you will get what you want, and deserve!

You can bet your last dollar that it’s exactly what you say it is. These articles reaffirm Black women being perceived as the bottom of the totem pole. It bolsters the self esteem of non-black women, who are relieved they don’t have these problems, and they get a front row seat to view the pain put on display for their consumption and entertainment.

I know this feeling, it sucks. You have to have faith that you will find a wonderful person to treat you the way you deserve. Most relationships come to an end, work on not tying your self worth to the actions of men. You’ll be much, much better off. Another fact that you already know is that people’s lives don’t always reflect their reality. Some of the most toxic relationships look great to strangers, but those in the know see it for what it is. The absolute first step is blocking them on soci…

On the dating over 30 sub, there was veiled comment that I’m certain was directed at FDS recently, claiming we were wrong for expecting a man to pay on a first date. It didn’t feel right to her that just gracing a man with our presence meant that we should NOT split the bill. I just chuckled to myself. The mods there also lump FDS in with incel and MTGTOW rhetoric. I made a comment about what men who were too broke to date should be doing instead of cutting down women’s expectations and my comme…

Agreed. I hurt my own damn feelings by focusing on just one man because I thought he was different, and decided without proof that he was special and deserving of my effort. Boy, did I learn the hard way. Circular dating is where it’s at.

It takes a lot for a new Mom to dump the father of her infant or toddler. I’m sure many of these men have left the Mom. I can’t even wrap my head around continuing to date a man after he reveals his child is only a few months or even a few years old. The bare minimum for me to even consider a single Dad is one who is actively and fairly coparenting. One can not adequately coparent AND date with an infant. That’s a vulnerable age, and very few men will take an infant for a couple of days out of t…

You said a word. I feel bad for moms who believe that is the only way to parent, trying to negotiate with a toddler who is screaming at the top of their lungs. Many children need firm boundaries, and no nonsense guidance with lots of love. Not the child in control parenting I’m seeing. It’s just as you said, giving kids too much control. So cute as 4 year olds, not so cute at 14.

Most of my bills, yes. He began paying one, then another. I have two others on autopay on his account. Sometimes he pays right out, other times he’ll give me the cash. I knew him a year before we got to that point. He’s expressed he wants me to accomplish my goals and taking care of me is something he enjoys. I doubt she wants to be a divorced Mom of four. Although she has all the help and financial comfort she could ever need, I’ll assume that being a wife buffers her from the sex tape. Peep the way she took credit for getting the young woman released, claims to study for the bar, dedication to prison reform. She’s desperate for a renewed image. And I bet they both love the power couple image (esp if the rumors of them being obsessed with Beyoncé & Jay is true). Plus her lifestyle is aspirational to…

I’d do it if it was someone I knew well, and the place was in my name, and I had an exit strategy in case it ever came to an end. My friends have guys who pay their rent, so this isn’t a foreign concept to me. It wasn’t to move closer though, they already had these apartments/condos. None of the guys have keys either, which is important.

I’m sick of the amount of men who still want to meet up to attempt to get sex. Ones I haven’t heard from in months or years, with time on their hands to hang out. I’m glad this situation exposed them, totally disgusted. I’m a nurse, constantly exposed to COVID, even more so than normal, but it doesn’t even occur to them to exercise caution.

Just to add, a dishonest man will use jokes to avoid answering questions. A guy I’ve dated who was truly naturally funny, did this when presented with direct questions. I didn’t pick up on it until it was too late. He was the type that would have strangers cracking up wherever he went, so it didn’t come across as evasive. But when I looked back, I noticed a pattern.

Ugh. I shouldn’t be surprised. And yes, I agree with you there. As annoying as it is to be stereotyped, I can’t fault lesbian women for their hesitation.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/08/20 12:37 AM

Yup. The only think truly stopping me is access. I’d need to relocate to an area where I can make new friends and acquaintances who happen to be queer. The city I live in doesn’t even have a lesbian bar, just a few ones for gay men. And using OLD will be overrun with bicurious women looking for a threesome partner. I’ve been tricked before, and that was enough for me.

Echoed. I learned the hard way. I drove an hour each way to see my ex more times than he did for me. I justified it because my schedule was more flexible. Come to find out after it was over that he had no problem driving much longer than that for someone he truly cared about. What a wake up call.

Bingo! In my 20s I was really into a 30 year old playboy who didn’t know the meaning of the word relationship. 10 years later after getting his heartbroken by younger women (he’s 40+ still dating 22 year olds) he looked me up on FB and began whining about needing something real and how he should’ve taken me seriously before. I had to stifle my laughter in between his messages. It was so transparent that he decided to try something different, but only after he couldn’t get what he really wanted.

Of course he will. He suffered no consequence. His side piece was willingly sleeping with him, knowing he was married. Is she just going to stop because she had a baby? Smh. I wish they had spoke about that part of this tragic situation.

I’ve seen and heard of this happening before. I used to write it off as people doing this because they are drawn to the excitement, the unpredictability of a roller coaster relationship. Most of my life Ive heard of men bragging about crazy, psychotic women they can’t get enough of, and claim to can’t stay away from due to sexual chemistry (their words). I agree with your Mom not to do too much. Most men barely deserve a woman’s minimum. A HVM won’t require you to do too much, and you’ll be comf…

His rant is so boring. How many of these deranged, lazy buffoons even want to raise children on their own? Those that do had better research how this gov’t deals with parental rights. Signing away rights to children that haven’t even been born yet? The judge will laugh you out of the courtroom. What makes them think the court will force a biological mother to give a child away once they decide not to? This is how you know they live in fairyland, their plans are nothing but frustrated pipe dreams…

Please don’t join. So, so, so many stories of abuse. Whether physical, sexual or emotional. The undercurrent of this mentality is the toxic masculinity. I worked in a unit (former military) where the assaults were known to us. The women in my unit were warned to stay away from specific buildings, certain platoons, etc because of the excessive number of complaints. My Mom was one, off and on. When she wanted more income, she’d go back to work at her leisure. I knew a bunch in the military, but I think the culture was the reason it was prevalent. If they were civilian couples, I’d doubt many of those wives would stay at home.

Yawn. I could only skim this article full of the same tired diatribe these losers regularly parrot. He claims to meet and date 3-4 beautiful women every week, but has time to not only stalk and research this sub, and to date both a mother and daughter. Sure Jan. He assumes most of the women on here are black due to the slang. Not because mainstream society co-opts almost everything that a part of black culture. From commercials, to ads, to social media, they watch in silence as something becomes…

I wouldn’t be interested in an older man outside of his ability to provide. Besides that, what’s the point? The 2nd/3rd wife IMO shows a man who doesn’t want to be alone, especially if there is only a short amount of time in between marriages and relationships. At worst, codependent, and at best a hopeless romantic or optimist.

I believe you. That nurse is probably making more than some of the women who donated to him, and I bet he got a lot of money due to the current climate with healthcare workers. A 16hr shift means even more pay due to overtime. Don’t doubt for a second most of these men are starting up conversation and correspondence with these women, marking them as targets to be used. Today it’s lunch, next week a bill, a few weeks out she’s flying or driving out to see him to get laid. Smh

Those men are letting out frustration by nitpicking attractive women. I bet 98% are porn addicts. Most women in porn are not supermodels yet incels spend lots of time jerking off. If they were so picky those women wouldn’t do it for them, and we know that’s not true because their passions are porn and finding relief on Reddit subs where they can delude themselves. If an attractive woman spoke to them, half would run in the other direction, the rest would neg her because they know deep down they …

I have yet to read anything from him I disagree with, and I’m a person who is quick to turn my nose up at advice from men about relationships. His delivery is certainly not for everyone, some may find it vulgar, but I don’t mind it. Before I smartened up, I was reading his book and I knew the flaky behavior I was experiencing, that he spoke on in his book was correct, but I kept deluding myself that the guy was different. A guy I dated revealed something like that to me, claiming he got head from someone he thought was a woman, but didn’t find out until afterward. I think he might’ve even thrown the “I had no idea it was a gay bar” excuse in there too. I wasn’t upset by his story, what stood out to me was that on our first date, we were walking along the pier, and way ahead of us was a lesbian couple. Getting pregnant by a billionaire sounds good on the surface, but I’m too much of a pragmatist to be starry eyed. These men don’t get to that level without some unethical behavior behind the scenes. I hope she can untangle herself from him with her child and sanity intact. If she’s envisioning 100K a month post breakup like the other women who got that from her ex, Godspeed.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/05/20 09:17 PM

Great point. To add on to that, I will remind myself to not just fall in love with right now, but the person he always is. Some people are great up until they are not. Whether it was them pretending, or just getting too comfortable. I want my love to be earned even years later. :)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/05/20 09:16 PM

Some are, some aren’t. I wouldn’t post couple pics all the time, but if I were in a relationship I’d love to. I think it’s ridiculous to believe that people who post are automatically miserable (I’ve seen lots of people say that).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/05/20 08:21 PM

This has been the lesson I’ve learned over the years. Now FDS has solidified this fact to me. I would give men the benefit of the doubt, and it always led to their benefit and my loss. It all stemmed from thinking that particular man was so different from the rest. So wrong I was.

She’s energized by writing this because her friends are with men who barely come into the house except to eat, fuck or sleep. So by having him within her line of sight playing video games, she feels relief. I bet if she didn’t buy that game system he wouldn’t be there having long conversations with her in between gaming. Look at how she outs herself by saying WHILE the games are being played. Why can’t you have convos after he’s finished? Either he’s on there all day or going to bed right after.…

I’ve wondered how something like that would work in America. Then I think about all the people who would salivate at the thought of bringing harm or mischief to women who want to isolate. But these women have that threat (and worse) yet they still went ahead with their goal.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/04/20 09:55 PM

I’ve wondered about that also, I’ve never had a partner who did not care about my pleasure. This is both in casual and committed situations. But from what I read on here daily, men who make an effort are outnumbered.

I’ve actually done something similar on the flip side. When I find myself getting nostalgic for a LVM I’ve yet to get over completely, I made a list of the ways he let me down. I didn’t even finish the list before I got annoyed at what happened, at all the memories that aren’t at the forefront. This speaks to the power of writing things down. So this is a great way to put that method towards something positive.

I know this goes against FDS advice, but the less attractive men I’ve dated treated me very well. There have only been a handful, so that’s hardly a recommendation for other women to do the same. I must’ve snagged the ones who knew what they had and acted accordingly. No trying to tear down my ego, no insults. The worst part was trying to dump them and move on. I think the best thing is to examine what your reservations are about men with kids. There are sooo many different scenarios out there. His child could be 6 or 16 years old. Big differences in parenting and availability. I know shitty dads with exes who want to fight and wonderful dads who don’t have any ex wife drama (and vice versa, sadly). But if it’s something you don’t want to deal with, you shouldn’t convince yourself to either. Even as a divorced Mom of one, I’ve had no problem meeting me…

So gross. That reminds me of when a man I was dating had not 2 children I knew of, but 3 others. They were older, so apparently no need to mention them. That guy who spoke to probably does the bare minimum in taking care of those kids. I wonder if they all live in the same city. Society doesn’t give men with multiple children the scarlet letter that the give to women. Imagine thinking your own flesh and blood aren’t worth mentioning upfront. Gross. And don’t get me started with the one who think…

I used to give them bits of advice and they appeared receptive, said they wanted a better guy, but it was no use. Now I stop myself and say nothing. You are right, it starts from self worth. I’m not a therapist and I can’t fix their issues so I’ll just stay my usual quiet self.

No child that young will spend such a lengthy amount of time talking to a parent. They’ll get distracted, put the phone down, whatever. This is toddler/preschool age. This man is getting off on sending you all over town to give him privacy in addition to whatever nonsense he’s doing alone. No way in hell I would’ve left the first time. He needed to go into another room or out into the car. Even the fact that he can’t babble with his children with me in earshot is a big red flag. I wish she would…

I was having a conversation with a man about Bill Cosby. He said out loud that he doesn’t understand why it took women so long to speak out, and as soon as one did, others did the same. I calmly asked him who gets to determine when a woman opens up about her rape, and told him rapists belong in jail, and I have zero sympathy for him, I don’t defend rapists. He quickly tried to backtrack, stating Cosby is where he belongs, he just “didn’t understand.” As if that’s a requirement. 🙄

A hell of a realization. Prior to that people would just chalk it up to me trying to impress men, but I didn’t agree with that. The actions felt right to me, felt natural. I didn’t need to impress, I just was doing what I would do for anyone I care about. Until I learned what it truly was, and I needed to cut out the middleman and love MYSELF.

I’m a giver. During therapy I realized I was trying to do for others, what I wanted done for me. Trying to love myself, soothe myself through those actions. All I got was a bunch of, “Gee, thanks” for my efforts. Then I noticed those men would fall all over themselves for women who were selfish and prioritized their wants and needs. I saw someone post this before: “Move a mountain for me, I’ll consider lifting a finger for you.” And that is the code I guide my actions by.

Kept taking back a guy who disappeared for weeks or months with no explanation. He would return claiming to be busy or overwhelmed. He was a workaholic, so at the time it seemed plausible. He valued money over many things. He’d reach out (with a text, not even a call) with a ready made excuse, and in no time I jumped back into the gutter with an excited smile. Sex, texts, hookups, promises that a relationship was on the horizon, until he disappeared again.

Good, don’t do it. A man should enhance your life, not drain you or be useless in it. That’s true too. But a man like that, isn’t a generous person at heart. And that’s what’s even more important than the amount of money he has. That’s what I look for signs for, generosity. Some men will use their money to attract a partner, then keep dangling it to keep things going. That’s why I’m not impressed with promises, there has to be tangible proof.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/03/20 03:13 PM

Some are. A broke or cheap older man couldn’t get me to even cough in his direction. It’s truly a case by case basis. I date an older guy and he’s been wonderful to me, while paying my bills. He knows this is his role and enjoys it. He loves me, I care for him, and I like it this way. Men my age have broken my heart. But I’m in my 30s, not a young woman in her early 20s who is at risk of being manipulated. I’ve lived a bit, so games are easier for me to spot.

Paid for my own hotel room for us to hook up. And drove 2 hours each way to do so. Allowed weak apologies to make up for being ghosted, because he was “going through a tough time”...repeatedly. Oh I agree, he needs to be served up with papers and child support orders ASAP. But after seeing some of the dumpster fire marriages I’ve been witness to, I know that just suggesting divorce to most people will go in one ear and out the other. Most want to work it out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is his. Most men are not overly attached to children that are not theirs. My first thought was the child being the excuse for him to sleep with his ex without hiding it.

She’s probably afraid to come down too hard and possibly lose her marriage. But he’s blatantly placing another woman over her and their baby. She should kick him out, until he smartens up, but he’ll probably run over to the ex’s house with bells on, and she doesn’t want that.

The nerve of people telling her he’s been a part of this child’s life. The kid is 5/6, not 15/16! The child barely remembers this man. I wouldn’t trust this situation at all. The fact that she insists on the children being siblings shows that she is messy, because she should respect what his wife feels. And he should back his wife up. I feel bad for her, he’s showing his ex her feelings, child and history matters more than the woman he is married to. These men truly marry the ‘right’ women that …

I wonder what dating an emotionally balanced woman is like, yes. Two women I dated moved entirely too fast. Two weren’t compatible sexually. My first gf was a stone butch who believed having orgasms meant she was less masculine (shocked Pickachu). She also picked fights because she felt insecure over me being bi. The others just fizzled out. One was so sweet, but a bit clingy. Sometimes I wished I had given her a chance because I pursued her but got creeped out by her showing up unannounced.

Did he specify their ages? I’m curious to know the amount of time between each one. He may claim that he has a good relationship with all 4 (doubtful) but when you get to know him better, you’ll find that isn’t the case. Too many red flags here. Trust me, I know quite a few of these men are very charming, that’s how they manage to amass large amounts of children. How can he effectively parent between 4 different households? Unless he’s good with doing the bare minimum.

I would hate to know my spouse considered our marriage boring. If the family was pissed when they broke up, how pissed would they be this time, with her as a divorced mother with a child in diapers. He doesn't even seem to have any remorse about that. I liked that the author told him that he would be in a relationship with this new woman who may not want to play stepmom. Imagine having an infant over at his new place while their off the charts chemistry is flowing. Lol They just don't get it.

Lol! Thanks. One of my exes family members used to do that. Thankfully, he did not. But spending time at their place was a real eye-opener. I grew up with a Mom who put the O in OCD levels of cleaning. Dishes couldn’t even be left in the sink after eating, much less piled up anywhere.

I accept those women because they keep cheap men out of my face and feeling like they have no shot with me when I show them how I expect to be treated. I would prefer that these women smarten up, but you can’t save everyone, and we all have our lessons to learn.

That’s what kills me, it is overstated. All these men are not running into women looking for a free meal. They deluded themselves into thinking that because a date didn’t materialize in a manner they wanted, so they’ll lie to themselves so not to offend their ego. You go for a walk on date one. Then what for date two? Another walk? Coffee? Or the elusive dinner date? They are full of shit and I’m thrilled I don’t entertain such men. My dates pay, and don’t even hesitate.

During my OB clinicals the same thought hit me, and that was only from being there a few weeks. Watching women go through labor just made it so much more clear how incredible we are, and how we deserve partners who will help and not just be an overgrown child. All of the husbands I saw appeared to be helpful and were excited and emotional, but I don’t have to be told it isn’t always that way. I saw numerous women going through childbirth and post delivery by themselves with just their child. Ver…

It’s none of his business until we decide to be exclusive. I’ve had numerous men claim to be in bed alone, staring at the ceiling every night, longing for a companion, until the truth comes out down the line. And I never ask a man if he’s seeing other people, so they chose to be deceitful, even when they didn’t have to be. So right or wrong, I don’t believe anyone. And it’s none of my business until we are a couple.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/02/20 07:34 AM
26

True. Most spend all this time on Twitter ragging on ‘bitches’ instead of getting their affairs in order to achieve the ‘get rich’ plan they only love fantasizing about. There will be no dream girl for them. Just some unfortunate woman they believe they had to settle for so they won’t be alone.

Sickening. I hope all of them that go over there for exploitation get dismissed by the local women after bleeding them dry and send them home packing. And any woman with a strong enough stomach to tolerate them long enough to gain citizenship, gains all his money and then some in a divorce for her troubles. What is betabux?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/02/20 07:12 PM

Not necessarily! An increasing number of men are walking away from religion. Just the other day I heard some men discussing the hold that the church has on black women and how they wish things would change.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/02/20 06:56 PM
17

I’ve written off many shows and movies that depict this kind of behavior. Now I can spot exactly what it is they are up to. And I make it clear to others when they ask why I don’t watch or decline their movie invites. They look at me like I have three heads or just say I’m uptight and it’s just entertainment. NO! It’s more dangerous and subversive than most people realize.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/02/20 06:54 PM

This this this! Everything you wrote was spot on. As someone who dates out, men will approach by the way of continuously making conversation that promotes some back and forth. Not the more obvious games and lines that some of us have been accustomed to receiving as showing interest.

What a great analogy. That scenario is one of the reasons why black women are dropping dead in their 40/50s and doctors can’t determine why. Continued strain and stress of the physical and emotional aspects of themselves. Propping up, catering to, assuaging the ego of, cooking, cleaning, dragging along in life, LVM.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/02/20 06:38 PM

You are right. My family hails from the Caribbean, and even though I’m monoracial, I have numerous cousins from different aunts and uncles who are mixed with Chinese. Even though it’s no racial utopia out there, it’s a hell of a lot better than the states. Thank you!! 💐 To drive the point home, I’ll go into my situation a little more. My ex-LVM husband never stopped cheating throughout the marriage despite being the one who pushed for it. Every single time he got caught, it was due to my snooping. How do you feel about being intimate with another woman? I know relationships are about more than that, but is that something you are interested in or does it make you want to change your mind? Good list. I cringe to think of the times I’ve done some of those things. I no longer tidy up nor do I cook. I make a point not to stay over at any man’s house that isn’t clean. Thankfully, I haven’t had that issue in a very long time. And I’ve outgrown the need to show a man I can cook in order to be worthy of a relationship. And I’ll only live with a man if he’s footing the bills. That limits the pool exponentially and I have no qualms with it whatsoever.

High Five! I’ve never heard of the 10k strategy before. I do date men with more disposal income than the average, so my dating life is similar but I’ve never put a dollar figure on it.

One thing I’ve noticed not only on Reddit, but also on other social media and even in real life, any woman who advocates for herself and other women in a healthy way, will bring lots of hate out. Many times, I take it to mean I’m headed in the right direction, which is a different way from the masses still peddling hurtful drivel to women and giving men passes for disrespectful behavior.

I have to live with someone, or at least spend extended hours of time with him prior to marriage. I can’t imagine moving in blindly with someone, not knowing their habits or patterns. This can’t be judged on overnights or even weekends spent. I’m only moving in with a set date for a wedding or if he pays most of all of the bills. I see no benefit in splitting rent, and I’d take offense to paying half when I’m living with a man who will undoubtedly be making more money than I will.

I know for a fact they do care, because many men would be threatened by a woman whose career accomplishments eclipse their own. Some don’t realize it until it happens and the ego goes haywire, and others have enough self awareness to know before it even happens. So there will always be interest in a woman’s career or income. They only difference is the reason behind why they want to know. It hasn’t been very often, but I have overheard men (not bums, but guys who are doing well or on track to do…

Point 2 is what I first thought about while reading the OP. Access is a huge factor. In careers that require hours of studying and a reduction in off the clock fun time, people date and marry those they are constantly around. That’s a main reason Docs marry others Docs. Add in the belief that every other woman will be after their money, a spouse who is making a similar amount is even more desirable. But don’t only pay attention to the starter marriage, see how the career of the spouse changes on…

I happened upon the infidelity sub awhile back, and some comments stood out to me. A few women discussing how they spent years begging their husband for appreciation, gifts, to lift a finger around the house, just to learn he does all that AND MORE for the mistress or new girlfriend. For them, being left/divorced by the guy. Especially after uprooting their lives, forgoing their careers to be in his service, which is so dangerous today with possible recessions in the future. That confession he gave her was really his way of trying to get out of the relationship, or at least setting the stage to exit later on. I’ve learned some men like testing the self esteem of their girlfriends to determine their own behavior going forward. To answer your question, if someone is dragging their feet, coming up with excuses, it’s not a good sign.
