They see themselves as "different". It's comical really.
One minute they trash us and the next they're wanting us to be on the frontlines marching for them the minute they experience racism. They'll spout how we should "think about our fathers and sons" but they never think about their mothers and daughters when they applaud and even participate in the disrespect of black women. Their allegiance to their manhood will always be stronger than to the color of their skin.
I'm glad more of us are waking up and smelling the roses and not giving out loyalty to them anymore. They don't deserve it. All skinfolk ain't kinfolk.
Edit: Have you ever heard of 'Ain't I A Woman' by Sojourner Truth? It's also a book by Bell Books (which includes her speech), but it showcases the lack of solidarity among black men towards black women that has been alive for a long time. Men have always put themselves first.
Edit 2: Actually I had the wrong speech in mind to emphasize my point (been a while since I read that book). 'What The Black Man Wants' by Frederick Douglass in 1865 better emphasizes how black men have always been putting themselves first.

You know what sucks is that with dating. I have always dated black and brown men generally and have always had such an attraction and almost default bond to them because of the whole sharing similar experiences with being a poc that others might not understand. I am JUST now opening up to the possibility of dating others that fall outside of black and brown.
The realization that black men are not checking for black women is sad! You are absolutely right that black women are expected to guard and honor black men while they post things like this!
I have heard of it (Aint I a Woman) but have not read it. I have read a few Frederick Douglass pieces back at university. I had a professor who was a black lesbian and she said "the only man she'd ever marry is Frederick Douglass but he's dead" lol

Can we have an honest talk about how LV Black men can be . It’s honestly exhausting dealing with their issues and they take it out on us . Black women are taught to cater to them and no one a lot of us grow up Male identified . American Black men grew up listening to rap music which referred to women as bitches and hoes. Black women are guilted out of dating men of other races out of racial loyalty while black men are not. On top of that, many black men are in jail so now there is a lopsided gender ratio of more women than men. A significant (25%) portion of men who marry out of the race while very few black women date out (until recently). As a result there’s just way more black women looking for black men than vice versa, and because of this the black men have egos and treat black women like trash. On top of this black women are viewed as lower tier and white/Latina girls are the trophies so that’s just extra dirt throw our way. We are the starter chicks that build men up and “when he get on he gonna leave your ass for a white girl” Black men just behave the way many men feel about women, but they get away with it because they are generally coddled by the black community.

You said it yourself, they love the bodies but not the blackness. That’s why white girls with surgically enhancements to resemble the stereotypical black body (curvy, large butts, big lips etc) are a “best of both worlds” for them.
