Are you still living together? What if she wants to track you because she wants to know when you’ll be home so somebody else can leave?

More likely he will get bored of her.

You want to give the benefit of the doubt to someone who had an affair and wrecked their family?

Yeah sorry bro. We’ve all been there. They all have the same shit playbook. Knowing that helps reduce the feelings of it being so personal.

For other men going through this: I learned from watching the people go before me on courtroom zoom. You only want to submit a very small amount of very damning evidence. Otherwise the judge will just cast it aside and not read it.

Huh…. Did you just say $1M in student loan debt? Typically in divorce each party is responsible for their own student loan debt.

Came here to say this. Manipulation, pure and simple. She wants to have her affair, her happiness, her divorce, AND not to have you believe she is a bad person. Fuck all that selfish shit

If you have 100% custody of your oldest and it’s agreed, then she should 100% be paying you child support. Can you imagine if the roles were reversed? She would definitely put you on child support Congrats on weathering the storm brother!

That’s how they generate all the fees. The only people who win in divorce are the lawyers

Narcissist is the new code word for “they act selfish sometimes”. It’s almost always a nothing-burger.

I’ve heard that quote “treat it like a business situation” before and I used to agree, but after some thought I think that concept should be amended. Treat her like an employee who is trying their best to sabotage an otherwise successful business. You want to fire her, so document everything she does and says so you’ll be cleared of any lawsuit she presents after the fact. Treat her like the threat to your life and wellbeing that she actually is. Assume everything that you do and say will potent…

Give her what she wants as far as separation goes and don’t look back, then greyrock her. That always gets their attention. And always assume she is seeing someone else. The women who have that parasitic streak like yours will always have another victim lined up before moving on from their current host. Think about that when she inevitably wants something from you. Hard truths. Sorry bro, you’ll get through this.

Since she is young, there are no kids, and hopefully has a career/degree, I would expect alimony to be rehabilitative in the range of 24-42 months. As a side note: OP, please tell me she is one of those strong, independent feminist types….
/r/Divorce_Men12/03/24 10:12 AM

Exactly this, except my counter would be zero alimony, as a negotiating tactic. You don’t start with a reasonable counter, because then the “compromise” gets back into the unreasonable territory. Understand?
/r/Divorce_Men12/03/24 10:10 AM

Has she self reflected about her part in the relationship? Has she admitted her faults? If not she is just trying to rewrite the past to cement her victim mentality. Do yourself favor and take no part in it. If nothing else it will drive her nuts.

I’ve come to realize that when women say that phrase it isn’t a compliment. From my experience most of them don’t want an equal.

I like that typo. I’m going to start calling it AliMONEY too With a medium term marriage like that it’s most likely going to come down to a judge’s discretion. It’s crazy there are no real hard rules on this when so much money is at stake. In my state (WA) alimoney for medium term marriages (5-20 years) is usually done at 1 year for every 3 years of marriage. So just based on this, I would expect you to pay approximately 40% of your net take home pay in alimony combined with child support for 36…

This kind of mentality is why she cheated on you. You’ve completely lost yourself in her “amazingness”. If you treat a woman like a celebrity she will treat you like a fan…… in other words; disposable. I know that hurts, but it’s the truth.

This is the correct response. Look at it this way. She doesn’t respect you enough as a man to give you the decency to NOT TALK ABOUT THE NEW GUY SHE IS FUCKING. Who she may have been fucking all along. This is going to hurt, but I have to speak the truth. Your ex-wife put you in the friendzone. To her you are no different that her gossip girlfriends. The only correct response is to cut ties and build yourself up as a man. Make her regret the day she ever broke up your family.

Don’t overanalyze it. You did your part, always remember that. Who knows why they do the things they do? Some people are allergic to happiness. You’ll eventually come to the conclusion that there wasn’t anything you could have done to make her happy. That is her own choice/responsibility. The whole happy wife/happy life nonsense needs to die. Every adult is responsible for their own emotions.

I’m in the same boat. Happy to take money for birthdays and Christmas, but can’t be bothered to look me in the eye or otherwise acknowledge my presence. I don’t know if it’s feminism, entitlement, general lack of respect for the people who raised you, etc.

There is a tragedy is this even though you “won”. No man in similar circumstances as your ex would EVER get 50/50 custody. It’s unfortunately the worst case custody scenario for most women in divorce.

Women absolutely do need men, and vice versa. Show me a strong and independent woman and I’ll show you someone who secretly wants a man to make her life easier. Everything is easier when you have two people pulling in the right direction.

Speaking of this…. Every time my ex and I had a big fight she would go out and buy a cat without asking me. Probably because I always complained about having too many cats already. Did anybody else have this experience? It’s so bizarre.

This was also my experience. My parents were dumbstruck at how entitled she could be in regards to absolutely frivolous things. $2000 birthday parties for the kids $tarbucks every damn day Ordering take out pizza at full menu price and using DoorDash/Uber Eats excessively. Never, ever price comparing anything she bought. Don’t even get me started on the Amazon purchases. At least 2-3 boxes EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I’ll second this list. Basically how does she treat others who can help her, and those who have nothing to directly offer her (service workers, janitors, etc). Also, I think it’s wise to avoid women who worship celebrities, either male or female. It shows they overvalue status and will likely be more sensitive and toxic with the power dynamic within the relationship. Seeking excessive validation from internet strangers goes along with this too.

If you go to a basketball game that you know she will be at then you could be in violation of the protection order. Look at the distance required in the order. If you violate an order of protection and get charged you’ll be fucked. Long-Term Supervised visitation kind of fucked

/r/Divorce_Men12/01/24 11:12 PM

The sooner you can get the “she is my friend” mentality out of your head the better you’ll be. She isn’t your friend. Your friend wouldn’t file a protection order against you. She is your legal adversary and enemy in one of the biggest moments of your life. Treat her as such. She has already proven that her word means nothing. Time to start trusting her actions instead. Divorcing a narcissist almost always ends badly.

If the debt was paid off prior to the date of separation then she doesn’t owe you a thing The date of separation is usually the date one party was served, unless one party voluntarily left the marital home prior to this date. All accounts and debts are considered marital funds prior to the date of separation.

If he really wanted her to face consequences for her actions he could have had a forensic accountant dig into her finances, see how much she likely made from these illicit activities and reported her to the IRS. There is a code that requires people to pay taxes on illicit income. She could be saddled with a tax bill of $100K or more.

Alimony AND child support! Guess who gets to pay the taxes on their untaxable income? Guess who gets a sled of tax breaks and government assistance, as well as social credit for being the correct gendered single parent?

Listen to how she talks about others. If she uses excessively derogatory language or often compares herself favorably or poorly to others this is a red flag. If she is obsessed with celebrities or pop culture this is also a red flag. If she has to have the most expensive or “best” item regardless of function that is a red flag. How does she treat people who she has temporary “power” over, such as wait staff, receptionists, call center employees, service workers? Does she ever talk about how grat…

In general this is true. For many women, especially those obsessed with status, their hypergamy makes them want to monkey branch to another man when they start making more than their partner. You don’t want to be with someone showing this level of entitlement. These are the kind of women that make $150K per year, yet find a way to spend $200K per year. No thanks. It’s the same reason why women file for divorce 80% of the time, but with college educated women that figure rises to almost 90%. Thei…

I strongly recommend not letting her rent space in your head for free. I changed mine to her first name with her maiden name. I don’t know man. I could never trust her again, or even look at her, after essentially lying to your face about raising another man’s child. I don’t believe that she didn’t know. She did, or at least strongly suspected

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I can’t imagine having to go through that myself. This is the ultimate level of betrayal that a woman can do to a man. I bet she knew all along. One day at a time my man. You are more than just the sum of your current circumstances
/r/Divorce_Men26/12/23 04:18 PM

She is trying to stay in your life to some extent; Reminding you that she is still HERE. You’re doing it right going no contact. Who knows why narcissists do the crazy things they do? It’s likely that you filing for divorce hit her ego extra hard, or maybe she blew through most of the cash at a record pace and now is putting out “feelers”. Regardless, I wouldn’t give it a second thought. Hope you’re doing well my brother.

The government is already working hard on this for all the single mothers out there. In my state (WA) as long as the child is enrolled in college or an equivalent program and living at home, child support paid to mom can continue for up to four additional years. I’m hoping my kids move out so I don’t have to pay it to her anymore! I’m happy to help my kids directly instead. I expect that this will be the standard in most states within the decade. As long as something only negatively affects men …

Repeat after me…. NOT MY MONKEY. NOT MY CIRCUS. You have NOTHING to gain and potentially EVERYTHING to lose by interacting with her in this way. She is also screwing another guy in your family home and only interacting with you when she is left holding the bag. Excuse my harshness, but reach down between your legs. Those are your balls. Use them and set some healthy boundaries. She doesn’t get to tear the family apart then have you on call for whenever her life sucks. Put in a more simple way…..…

You’re not supposed to change who you are to suit a woman. It actually makes you less attractive in her eyes. You control the frame and narrative of the relationship. You lead and she follows. This is the way that women are most satisfied in a relationship. Hard way to learn this lesson.

Yes! This place has served as both a reality check and great advice. Which, shocker, is what a good male role model in your life should do for you. If you’re lacking accountability and no bullshit encouragement in your life, look to see if you lack positive male role models. Our society has had such a long conversation about individual “rights” that to talk about personal responsibility and community sounds anathema now. That’s wrong. You can’t have one without the other.

The tax break is nice. I like the concept of having a “wife” even if it is stupid. And I’m a traditional misogynist, the thought of her having my last name makes me happy. Maybe it’s my programming, but I think marriage still has some limited societal value, if done with a proper prenup.
/r/Divorce_Men10/11/23 07:44 AM
2

When I marry my girlfriend I will only do so because we both insist on an ironclad prenup. Finances are completely separate Any debt will stay separate No spousal support will be given Assets divided down the middle Lawyers will be involved in the prenup so it doesn’t get thrown out. Neither one of us wants to go down that road again, but we both still would like to be husband/wife.

The only thing you can do to be able to forgive yourself is to accept full responsibility. That doesn’t simply mean you say, “Yes this is my fault”. One of the problems I have noticed, and my girlfriend agrees, is that groups of women often just mindlessly validate other women’s choices and thoughts. If he is struggling, she can do better. If he is too emotional then she needs a real man. If he is angry then she should leave that abuser. Most don’t give a second thought to actually working on the situation, or fighting for their family or relationship. Everyone needs at least one person who can tell them the cold, hard truth. Married women s…

I’ve always thought it was insane that you get zero credit for temporary spousal support. That just incentivizes the other party to drag it out and waste as much of the court’s time as possible. You would think it would be in the court’s best interest to give the paying party credit for that, if for no other reason than to expedite these cases and clear the docket. I like how Arizona does it. When you file you get dates for all your hearings right away.

At 5.5 years alimony probably won’t exceed 18-24 months. Especially in her income bracket Your best bet is to argue in court that your income the last two years was “exceptional” and not the norm due to temporary events like stock vesting

You’re missing a person that doesn’t exist anymore. You miss the idealized version of “loving wife” that you have created in your own mind. As hard as it is to digest, the person you married is not the person you see today. She probably hasn’t been that person for some time. If you sit down and meditate on it, you’ll likely come to the conclusion that you miss the family unit and all that comes with that. You don’t actually miss her, per se. She is ONE OF A MILLION dude, NOT ONE IN A MILLION. Big difference. Don’t put women on pedestals. They hate that shit and resent you for not leading in the relationship. Everyone wants what they can’t have, and that’s doubly true for women. They are just as fucked up (if not more so) as we are. Work on yourself. Physically, mentally, etc. Use that chip on your shoulder to make yourself better. Eventually she will come crawling back to you, although by that point you won’t want her anymore. Just …

Great response buddy. I agree, when it comes to love men have always been the romantic sex. Women take a much more practical view of relationships, which is why the car analogy is a good one. I don’t mean to be Debbie Downer, in my experience women have already made up their mind and left long before we ever find out. They’re already over the relationship when we are getting hit with the bombshell. You also don’t want to set up circumstances where you’re always having to prove yourself to your wife. It’s emasculating and a recipe for resentments.

You’re looking at this from a logical (male) perspective but with rose colored glasses. She will nickel and dime you to death, refuse to pay rent on time, and alienate the kids from you when you eventually are forced to evict. Could turn into a squatter’s situation real easily too. Think about it. Why would she want to remain entwined after divorce? You know she won’t take care of the property at all.

This might be a fair argument if women didn’t expect men to be chivalrous most of the time. Who pays on the first date? Ask 100 women and I’m willing to bet that 80 will say the man. You can’t purport to seek gender equality and then practice it only when it suits your needs. Any man worth his salt can perform all of the tasks mentioned earlier. It’s not negativity we are dealing you, it’s the truth. We could lie to you and tell you that everything will be fine if you just trust in your wife’s care, but you know better and our experience tells us better. I know it hurts but it’s the truth, that’s all I expect from this group of men.

Here is a life hack, don’t do any of that shit If she is so strong and independent she can buy her own damn flowers. Your frame is still in the woman’s mindset. Don’t be that guy Read more rational male, and turn your “don’t give a fuck” meter up a couple notches. It really works I’ve had two attractive women pay for first dates recently, make it clear th…

Well the good news is that many women have become more masculine over the last 10-20 years. In my dating/sex life I’ve noticed that even those that project masculinity prefer to be led by a man in a relationship. You can find a woman like this if you look for awhile though. I would say be cautious of reading too much into language used in dating profiles. Women like to use the “strong independent woman” and “don’t need a man” tropes in dating profiles, but this is a show me don’t tell me type th…

If she thinks life as a pregnant soon to be single mother will be better then she is delusional. No man wants to raise another man’s kids. It’s all responsibility with no upside. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but if you want her back you need to stop chasing her. YOU CANNOT NEGOTIATE DESIRE. It leads to obligated compliance, which leads to inevitable resentment. You’re probably being too placating to female “needs” if you’re not feeling desired in your dealings with women. It’s relatively easy to turn the tables. Read The Rational Male, by Rollo Tamasi. Also, why are you trying to source validation from women? You can source your own validation internally by obtaining and crushing your own personal goals. I don’t understand how commitment in marriage is any different than without marriage. No fault divorce is the norm, so it’s not like there is anything at all stopping people from divorcing for any reason at all. You can set up a power of attorney to give your partner access and decision making capabilities if one person falls ill. You don’t need marriage for that
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 04:03 PM
1

Right. Every situation that benefits women is because men did something shitty. Take off your blinders
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 04:01 PM
1

Where did I say any of that was the case? So you’re answer to the problems with modern day marriage and family court is to go back to India’s caste system? That’s silly. Attraction isn’t that simple, well maybe it is for women. I’m simply saying that one party shouldn’t be monetarily incentivized to divorce with no consequences after a certain amount of time. That’s a bad contract.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 03:25 PM
0

Nope. I’ve seen drug addicted loser women get 50% custody when men would have to jump through hoops to get every other weekend in the same scenario. If you think family court isn’t biased towards women then you need to open your eyes.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 03:12 PM
1

Why do you need a legally enforceable government contract to love your spouse?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 03:09 PM
1

You can do all that without marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 03:06 PM
2

Or until someone wants out. The divorce rate is over 50% now. No fault divorce is the standard now. Imagine having to spend 18 months and $30K to break up with someone. Yet women initiate 80% of divorces. What you meant to say is, legally binding financial contract.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 03:06 PM
1

What’s in it for women? Cash, prizes, and guaranteed child custody after divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 02:56 PM
2

For the woman, yes. I completely agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 02:54 PM
1

Marriage is a completely one sided contract when two people have differing incomes. In California, a person, typically a woman, is eligible for LIFETIME alimony after just 10 years of marriage. Can you imagine being a high earning person and paying your ex-wife monthly alimony for 30 years due to the breakdown of a 10-15 year marriage. It’s just insane. The problem is that the current divorce laws monetarily incentivize the lower earning party to leave marriage at a certain point. With no fault …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 02:53 PM
3

Those benefits don’t negate the huge downside risk for the higher earning party. You essentially become a wage slave for many years to the lower earning party in divorce. You’re essentially betting half (or more) of your net worth that your spouse will stay with you forever. Who would sign up for that? Since 97% of alimony is paid by men to women this is a gendered risk. The juice just isn’t worth the squeeze unless you have kids, and even then you should be very careful. If feminists truly care…

So all women are routinely gaslit and abused? Fun fact, Meriam Webster’s word of the year is gaslighting. Which just goes to show how overused this term is for a situation that is relatively rare.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:56 PM

Which is why the self-esteem movement has been and is garbage. You can’t artificially make people feel good about themselves, not long term anyway. People know the truth about who they are and what they are capable of. It’s also a widely accepted fact in psychological literature that women trend more towards neuroticism than men. This makes sense in the evolutionary context of prioritizing safety for themselves and their infant children.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:49 PM

And how many of those are still on the air? You’ve proved my point for me. I laughed out loud at Gregory House being a role model for young men. Thanks for that!

Name one positive male role model in TV or media that isn’t doing something violent. Men and fathers on the screen are all portrayed as fat imbeciles, the butt of every joke, deferential to the dominant woman in their lives. It’s embarrassing. Young boys need someone to look up to.

Easily bad for society. The drive that pushes men forward to build, compete, produce and establish a family come to some degree from Testosterone. Women are attracted to these characteristics in men. The overall testosterone levels in men have been falling for quite some time now and so have birth rates. I don’t think this is coincidence. The conversation as to why T levels are falling is fascinating. Environmental pollution in the form of Xenoestrogens is probably a big factor.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/22 08:51 PM
2

Yes I believe that overall feminism brainwashes women to believe that men always have preordained and systemically produced power and authority over all women. I’ll also add that women are only interested in equal rights when there is a perceived deficit of these “rights” that favor men over women. See the ever quoted pay gap for one example. Then they conveniently ignore data that shows that single childless women earn more than single childless men.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/22 07:21 PM
2

I don’t agree with that assessment, if so feminists would be taking up causes that disproportionately affect men negatively, you’ll never see that. Just another attempt to undermine any mens rights movement by saying that “we already have you covered”. You also didn’t address my point

I’m glad you got 50/50 custody, but man that just shows how biased the courts still are in favor of mothers. Your ex has a fucking DUI on her record indicating substance abuse issues and she still ended up with 50/50. A man in that situation would have got every other weekend at best.

Good first step! There is no advantage or disadvantage to filing first in no fault states. I would suggest you file first before she can conjure up some false DV charges to gain the court’s sympathy. Don’t waive your right to alimony. This is how we fight back against this fucked up family court system.

See. She is already thinking of going down this path, and no, domestic violence orders of protection are not standard in divorces. Be very careful here, good job getting the cameras set up. Listen carefully. Absolutely do not leave the house. It sets the stage for you to be viewed as abandoning your kids. She is trying to position herself to not have to pay you alimony, which she absolutely should have to pay you. Don’t sign anything of hers, talk to a lawyer ASAP. What she is offering you is an absolute shit deal for you, which shouldn’t surprise you. House should be sold and the proceeds split, or one party can buy the other out. That first comment is ridiculous. Natural selection is still alive and well, just the context of it has changed since humans become civilized; to some extent at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/22 04:36 PM
7

Ironically, the more that positive masculinity is eliminated or discouraged in our society, the more women become attracted to toxic masculinity. Sexual attraction exists at the poles of femininity and masculinity. Do you think it’s coincidence that people are having less sex as the sexes become more androgynous in behaviors? What I mean by that is that women have become more masculine and men more feminine. Think about what is happening with facial hair. More and more women are finding facial h…

This middle ground you speak of is in line with assertive behaviors, as opposed to traditionally more passive (feminine) and aggressive (masculine) behaviors. Being assertive is not an easy thing to do for people, but I agree, learning this behavior is important to functioning ideally in s society.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/22 04:27 PM

Upholding the patriarchy is not something women do consciously. This is millions of years of natural selection at work. We have been civilized for what, 500 years?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/22 04:23 PM

Absolutely. There is no punishment for lying in family court. No lawyer will pursue this avenue either. My ex stated that she had over $10K in monthly expenses. Shocked pikachu face when I submitted a hard written budget of hers for $4,800 that she came up with a month before we separated. Said I was abusive and suicidal. When most women become delusional about their “worth” and “value” it doesn’t leave much margin of error for good, but maybe average, men to become the husbands and fathers that they strive to be. The world needs good men to reproduce and raise properly adjusted children. Women currently don’t reward men who try to do the right thing by them. I don’t complain about women, but there are a few common themes I see: Women are entitled and overly masculine Traditional feminine values have been eroded by women, yet they all seem to want a “traditional man”. The family court system is inherently biased towards mothers, and there is no reason for high earning men to get married anymore. Marriage mainly exists to transfer wealth and resources for one party to another.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/22 02:15 PM

That doesn’t explain all the hate and shaming lumped onto men from all these women. The excessive hatred for men in our society is unrelenting and unjustified. Most men would just rather go their own way at this point instead of fighting over some entitled, ungrateful single mom.

It’s this whole “I know my worth”, “I deserve”, etc talking that’s going on. If you really knew your worth in the relationship market and it was widely accepted by men, then you wouldn’t need to make declarations like this. Red Pill isn’t about women at all, although some red pill men do enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy in women when they see it. Women tend to conflate SMV and RMV together when they are not the same. A single mom with three young kids can get on tinder and have a line of guys out the door waiting to have sex with her, although her serious options for marriage tend to be much more limited. This inherently makes sense, men with options (the men they want) generally aren’t lining up to raise another m…

It’s all the responsibility of having kids with none of the corresponding authority. Being a stepdad is a thankless shitty job. High earning men tend not to care too much about a woman’s career. We make enough of our own money. We tend to prioritize women who are fit, feminine and friendly; women who would make good mothers and who are nurturing. Women confuse their own preferences in a man with what men want. Women get half of a higher earning man’s retirement fund in divorce. Marriage makes zero sense for a high earning man. There is just nothing to gain from it, and it can all be taken away, including child custody, at the drop of a hat. Alimony laws made sense back in the traditional nuclear family structure when the wife stayed home, but now with modern women making good money in the workforce they exist only to punish a higher earning spouse, almost always a man. What was that again? All I can see is another man’s kid, morbid obesity, no discernible personality, a terrible sense of “style” and a victimization narrative about all men being out only for sex? Woman you would be fortunate to be some sad, desperate man’s pump and dump. “Take me on adventures”…

Rarely do we get such a clear glimpse of women’s solipsistic nature. What this term means is essentially: Each woman is the center of her own universe and unable or unwilling to see things from another’s perspective or properly empathize with them. Women tend to be this way because over the course of human history they have not had to bear out the full consequences of their actions. Men have been around to keep them safe and provided for and have built the world we live in, exclusion from this s…

That’s the difference between men and women on dating apps. She will still get a legion of swipes because she isn’t super fat (yet). Women who are moderately attractive can afford to leave disclaimers on their profile because it saves them the work of fishing through hundreds of likes/matches. I was dating a women who showed me her dating profile after we became exclusive. The sheer volume of dudes in her messages blew me away. It’s not incel logic, it’s a generalization of the dating market. I’m one of those men that has lots of options so I have no incentive to complain about the way it is. It’s just what I’ve noticed from comparing notes with others. Your SIGN language also doesn’t get to me. Form a proper argument instead of resorting to insults.

This guy gets it. As a man your goal is to get into the top 20% of men in both SMV and RMV. Often genetics can be stacked against you, so you have to maximize your potential in the other dimensions that women value. You also need to learn game to make women more attracted to you. Don’t be the safe option, it will ultimately end badly for you. Women’s sexual liberation has, as expected, resulted in a dating landscape where the top 10-20% of men get almost all the action and have all the options. …

That’s great man! Glad to hear it. My current girlfriend is also first generation American. Born in Oklahoma to Muslim immigrants from Pakistan. She denounced Islam, but is still very feminine, demure and friendly. She is a pediatrician, so she is good with kids and can turn off the assertive doctor behavior when she gets home. You’ve got this right brother. I’m doing the same thing myself. Most foreign women (non-westernized) are much more feminine and much, much more pleasant to be around. They actually seem to enjoy men and masculinity instead of viewing it as “the enemy”. All the feminism would be great if it made women more happy and fulfilled, but instead we see record levels of depression and anxiety in modern women. This is a good analogy. If women wanted true equality then they would accept responsibility for their actions like men are forced to do by the legal system. Women often times want the authority of a man, the privledge of a woman, and the accountability of a child. There is no authority without accountability. Power without responsibility is tyranny, responsibility without power is slavery.

No. This is about past behavior, not behavior in the most current decade. Read the excerpt from the study you reference that u/EulenWatcher posted below. This is a study about how different people from different generations viewed and acted upon their own marital fidelity.

I think you may be interpreting this data incorrectly. I think this graph doesn’t imply the age at which somebody cheated. I think it simply means that they asked a bunch of married people of varying ages whether they had EVER cheated on their spouses before and these are the percentages of each age demographic that answered “yes”. Otherwise we would likely see a much bigger spike in the 18-29 and 30-39 year old demographics. I don’t think there are a large swath of 50+ year old men out cheating…

It depends on the woman and her priorities. Feminism has sold women a lie that they are just as valuable in SMV/RMV at 35 as they were at 20-25. See that stupid quote by Cheryl Sandberg of Facebook for an example. Women instinctively know this, despite what they say on social media, hence the epiphany phase. Women have definitely become more masculine in the last 50 years as men have become more feminine, speaking in generalizations. But, yes I think you hit the nail on the head with the first statement. Bad behavior is bad behavior and doesn’t have anything to do with the patriarchy. I think that the most important thing a man can do to maintain a relationship of respect and desire is to be very masculine with a complementary very feminine woman. The sex should be somewhat domineering by the man, as long as the submissive wife consents. The problem currently is that feminists have proclaimed that situations like these are “abusive” because of an imbalanced “power dynamic”. This is a ridiculous stance. Women like masculine men. We have all heard them talk about all the sweet …

Teach him about values. Honesty, integrity, respect. These will win out over time compared to the toxic ideology of 4th wave feminism. Make sure you’re leading with those values too. Also, keep in mind that your ex-wife’s perspective on what a man is, is likely to be skewed. Men have always been disposable, just in different ways. Before the current phenomenon we were sent to die in wars, die in unsafe occupations, and left to rot on the street so that women and children could get preferential treatment by the government. I’ve had quite a few conversations with women regarding vibrators, dildos, and the idea that they could replace a man. Most women, especially ones that haven’t been ridden like the town bike, think it’s a silly concept. My current FWB said she was grossed out by dildos, she said they’re fake feeling and cold. Vibrators weren’t much better in her opinion. You apparently don’t get much intimacy from one. Men want sex, but women NEED sex.

A guy with all that definitely isn’t going for her. For those who don’t know, 1.8 meters in approximately 5’11” so this guy is at least 6’3”, so that eliminates 90% of men right there. Women have the audacity to think that men are the ones who chase after unicorns. Edit: Actually, looking at her crudely drawn scale, this guy is 2 meters tall, or just a shade under 6’7”.

She is not going to have much luck with that unless she gets disability (fat chance). They’ve seen this kind of dog and pony show before. Most states have statutes that income is imputed at 40hrs/wk at the current earning rate because so many women try and pull this shit. It’s crazy how lazy they are. My ex is always complaining about money but refuses to work 40hrs/wk. It’s unreal, they all want to be on the Real Housewives shows

This is one of the reasons there are so many kids with messed up priorities and beliefs out there. They’ve been catered to and made to feel the most important their whole life. Ask any of the gen-z young adults if they want to have kids some day, that’s a no for the vast majority, and who can blame them? These kids were often raised to be little narcissists and view parenting as more of a butler type role, with the corresponding authority. Who wants to sign up for that shit? My ex was like this.…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, marriage is for the kids. If you don’t have children with the potential wife, or don’t intend on having children with her right away, then there is no reason to get married. Even then you would be wise to tread carefully. In today’s world women treat marriage like a 401k they can tap whenever they need to. We aren’t given the age of the people involved, but if the women is over 30 then maybe this response is even more justified. Women want the wedding b…

I agree completely. I wasn’t trying to suggest that gender roles contribute to the way men and women interact. I may have miscommunicated that. This is biology and adaptation to environment over thousands of generations. I also edited my previous comment to reflect this
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/22 04:24 PM
36

Well, it’s not true anymore until it is. The thin veneer of civilized society seems to be wearing thin sometimes. When personal safety is the most widespread concern in society we step right back into these traditional gender roles. You could probably study this in Ukraine right now, if that was possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/22 04:05 PM
10

Generally, women like to feel sexually submissive and men like to feel sexually dominant. It echos back to basic biology and temperament which we have widely acknowledged for millennia until just recently. As far as society as a whole goes, women have become much more masculine and men more feminine, so there is also a taboo in play too with these roles, to some extent. Edited: changed to reflect biological basis of dominance and temperament.

No. You have this backwards. It’s the woman that looks for the investment opportunity due to the high cost of carrying a child, both financially and on future prospects. This is where most of the pay gap happens. How can people get something so fundamentally simple so wrong? Online dating is not representative of mate selection in real life because: The male to female ratio is skewed. Women are inherently more choosy, again because of the high cost of potentially carrying a man’s child. The dati…

Yeah you definitely need to be careful with single moms. You just need to understand that you will be way down on her priority list, regardless of what she tells you. Absolutely. The lack of sex in any relationship, or substantially reduced frequency should be code red for the relationship. You cannot negotiate desire, and once it’s gone, it almost never comes back. If you do not intend to have children with a woman, there is zero reason that you should ever marry her. Marriage is more for future children than for the woman. Don’t submit yourself to that. This is the ultimate shit test for men. Do not fail this one.

From the prospective of a woman, men have it easier. This is because women are typically trying to catch the same smaller group of men, who have lots and lots of options. That’s ridiculous, hypergamy is women’s nature (no judgement), it wasn’t created by men Women are the ones concerned about “dating and marrying up” which is what hypergamy is. Men are more concerned with polygamy; spreading their seed far and wide. Online dating is exactly those two things combined. Which is why 10-20% of men get all the action and won’t settle down. Women tend to be, on average, more prone to negative emotions such as neuroticism. Most men want the 3 F’s when it comes to women: Fit, Feminine and Friendly. It is much easier to get along with somebody who is more agreeable, and agreeableness has traditionally been associated with femininity. Only in the last 20 years or so has 4th wave feminism taught women to behave more like men. Men find that to generally be unattractive. The one issue I would have is that she intentionally talked to him when she was wet. If you are in control and leading in your relationship then this should be no major stumbling block …

Yeah I’m a red pill male, but you’re the one with the wrong attitude OP. If what you’re saying is true (it isn’t) then why would you even want to fuck somebody who is that delusional about their SMV. If you need to vent do it somewhere else. This reeks of desperation and isn’t helping red pill at all. Do some self reflection and recalibrate.

I’m really going to need to see this “science” that shows that women in their 40s are in their sexual prime. I’m a compounding pharmacist who makes hormone replacement products for this age demographic and I’ll call bullshit on this. What a load of rubbish. If they were in their prime they wouldn’t need hormones to maintain.

I saw her Instagram and every single photo is of herself. Not only that, no other people are in any of the photos. It’s just bizarre and speaks volumes about who she really is and what she values.

I completely agree. I’m sure the title was generated by editors to get the most possible clicks, but she did a decent job coming off unbiased. I love the Goya bit too. Thanks for the education. This one has all the goodies. Empowered woman with such a long, long list of accomplishments. Why can’t she find love? Maybe it’s because she has recently “dated” 100(!) men? Maybe she is an alpha widow chasing Chad’s tingles? Maybe it’s because she wants a nice sensitive guy but isn’t attracted to them? Victim this, victim that… No thank you. I’d rather stick both hands in my toaster on the high setting.

Simple answer, she didn’t respect the previous ex-boyfriend. Monkey branched to the new boyfriend. Cheated on old guy with new guy. This is her taking “accountability” citing “external” reasons, what an idiot. Never put the pussy on a pedestal gentleman. When she does this she isn’t actually thinking of the ex fondly. She is simply THINKING OF HERSELF fondly. Women are inherently selfish and neurotic creatures. Watch their actions, do not listen to their words, then you will know all you need to…
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen26/02/22 04:20 PM

Not all women are awful monsters, and the truth is that some of us did more than just a little to seal our fates in these cases. If you are going to get married try your best to protect yourself in a few practical ways. Be assertive in your relationship, fight for what you know is right and fair. But above all, I trul…

I’m just getting out of a 16 year marriage and terrified of doing the online dating thing. Any advice you can give would be appreciated. It absolutely is true and good luck trying to get anybody to believe you. I haven’t had this happen thank God, but I know of somebody who has. You should document her addiction to marijuana in some way. It’s your ticket to 50/50 parenting time. Otherwise you know what will happen if the court has their say. It’s easy to think, oh it’s just weed, but ask yourself; does her being high all day every day interfere with her ability to parent. If the answer is yes, then you need to document her adddiction (that’s what it is) so you can get 50/50 custody at minimum. Fight for your kids

Wow. That’s some crazy shit right there. You need to practice some assertiveness while simultaneously leaving the relationship. If you don’t fix this behavior it will continue to follow you throughout your life. I used to let people walk all over me too, it’s so empowering to grow a spine and state your boundaries. Ironically, women are much more attracted to you when you are assertive. Read the book No More Mr Nice Guy

You’re about to get fucked if it’s anything less than 100% amicable. Don’t think her friends aren’t telling her to take you for everything you’re worth. Read through the posts here. You’re looking at lifetime alimony potentially, depending on which state you live in. Plan on giving her 60% of your net income for the foreseeable future. Would you be ok with that?

She doesn’t respect you at all. You need to leave, but for some reason if you can’t leave then you need to enforce some heavy boundaries. You need to get really pissed at her and “take back the power” in your relationship. She obviously doesn’t respect you. She wants to leave but is trying to make you pull the trigger because she is a coward.

She is going to Mexico with another guy on her birthday…. Yeah dude, I hate to break it to you, but you’re the fallback guy at this point. She is using you for money and to have sex guilt free with another man. You need to divorce her

Your wife is being “the bad guy” and you should use that in your ultimatum. How did you find out about the affair?
/r/Divorce_Men06/09/21 04:33 AM

Dude. Step back from the ledge. Give her an ultimatum. How she reacts to that will tell you everything you need to know. If she balks at all you need to contact an attorney. I suggest you read the e-book “How to win back your ex”. At some point you became unattractive to her and you need to stop making her your emotional center, as hard as that may be. Take a step back and breathe. Reach out to somebody supportive, or if you don’t have that a crisis helpline. Get it off your chest and develop an…

My ex lied like crazy on hers. There is no accountability whatsoever in regards to these statements. I point blank asked my lawyer “what’s the punishment for getting caught in a lie on this” and she said “nothing”. We pointed out her lies and it hurt her credibility, but nothing else happened. We could have fought back but my lawyer told me it’s a waste of time going for perjury.

She is abusive and most likely a narcissist. Get out as quickly as you can. Come up with a plan tonight. She is siphoning your money into her account it seems. She might also be planning an exit strategy. And brother I know it hurts to even think about, but these other guys are right you should ask for a paternity test for your daughter just to make sure. I wish you peace and sanity moving forward. You can love and will love again. This will feel like a bad dream someday.

Your income numbers vs hers were very similar to mine and my ex’s. I ended up paying $2K/month in spousal support.

Do it brother! The parallels between your ex and my soon to be ex are astonishing. It’s like they all act the same way when responsibility is thrown at their feet. That’s modern day “feminism” for you. Get your financial security at a Man’s expense and then talk about how independent you are…. My wife has also been on 7 vacations since the start of 2021(!), including 3 trips to Vegas in the last 90 days, all of course with funds she siphoned from our joint account (never again fellas) right befo…

Good luck man. I hope you do well. I had no history of violence or implicit/explicit threats made. That helped a lot. She lied on her financial disclosures too which ruined her credibility. Attack her credibility with undeniable evidence (texts, emails, parenting apps, etc.) Good luck!

There should be, or should have been, carve outs in the order that allow you to coparent though some kind of third party app like OurFamilyWizard or TalkingParents. Fortunately my crazy ex’s restraining order was denied when she was caught in multiple lies at the temporary orders hearing.

Of all the bad decisions one can make, marrying the absolute wrong person has to be near the top. This is coming from somebody who did just that. Two months in and it’s going to be a battle. Amazing how much venom one person “who used to love you”can spit at you. Sometimes I just want to crawl in a hole and die. I might if it wasn’t for my kids.

I’m coming off an almost 14 year marriage too brother so I get where you’re coming from. This is very important: You have to create an identity of your own outside of the marriage. Do not contact her. Take the pain now instead of kicking the can down the road. The grief will come in waves, at first it seems like it will never end, but I promise you it does get better. What is something you have always wanted to do but sacrificed because of your marriage? Do that now! Build the life that YOU want…

I agree brother! I’m suffering immensely as well, but strangely women seem to be drawn to me like never before. I’ve lost weight, gained muscle and confidence, and generally feel like a weight has been lifted. I do miss being a family man, but I feel that in time I can get that back too. Life it to short to wonder “what if”.

Was my wife married to you as well? I kid, but seriously, sounds like the exact same person. Maybe this is just the way a lot of women are now. Soulless machines obsessed with hypergamy and financial security. I’m in for a rough ride with my NPD wife

I’m in the same boat. We had about $20K in a joint account. After I was told to leave the house she started siphoning the money into her personal account. Fortunately, I have her on record stating this and acknowledging that half of that money is mine. I think that will help me get it back from her.

As was said above, effective communication is the key. You have to learn to argue constructively. To quote a very smart man, “If you’ve won a thousand fights with your wife then your still married to someone who has lost a thousand fights with their husband”. It’s a zero sum game, you should try to understand and respect the other person, if reasonably possible. If you think you might need marriage counseling then you probably needed it two years ago. If your wife balks at marriage counseling; r…

I hear you there. My wife always got the worst version of me. I’m just now coming to terms with the fact that I got the worst version of her as well. Some people just shouldn’t be together. If you want to let her know she made a mistake, then continue working hard and do your best to accomplish all your goals. Then and only then will you truly be free.
