I wish more women would take the initiative. I get that it's how most societies are set up (men chase, women choose) but I always wonder how many girls have had feelings for me and I never knew because I (like most men) are oblivious to non-verbal signals. I'm glad it worked out for you and wish you the best!!!

Lol. I guess my real question is if this is a good time to practice anything to prepare to date?

Thanks. I have no desire to reconcile but it’s hard to think about your partner of 10 years, who you thought you’d be with forever, dating. But if I can get through this lockdown and seeing her date, I think it will go a long way in not being so jealous or clingy in future relationships!!

Thanks!!! I feel like I’m making a ton of progress (not just body but mind) but I still feel like I’m behind because the ex is getting a lot of interest (she checked out years ago and created her exit plan). I guess I shouldn’t look at it as a competition but it’s tough sometimes!

Yes, I do in fact. The first guy that she hooked up with was really good looking. Definitely lit a spark under my ass to better myself and get back out there. I’ve lost 60 pounds since January and have been listening the “How to talk to girls” podcast everyday. Seeing a therapist too helps.

Do you think it’s inappropriate to strike up convos in target or the grocery store right now? Seems like everyone is on edge!

I’ve lost 60 pounds since January so I’m definitely more confident. I have 40 more to go before I’m at my target weight. That will let me upgrade the wardrobe. One more question, is it inappropriate to approach during covid? Seems like women wouldn’t like guys talking to them with all the shit going down. Safety issue.

Gotcha!! I just got the idea because my ex wife would be inundated with DMs on social media from random guys. Now that she's single, I have a feeling that she's taking some of those guys up on their offers but that could just be my fucked up mind at work! lol Most likely it's guys that she has met or knows through mutual acquaintances. Good to know.

Don’t pretend that you’ve stumbled upon some big epiphany. The idea of unconditional love is bunk. It’s not a male/female thing. The only thing that even comes close is the love of a patent, but even that’s not guaranteed. I didn’t unsub because I “couldn’t accept your truth” I unsubbed because I want no part of your red-pull, toxic bullshit. Take sone damn responsibility for your failed marriage. Chances are, your wife left you for some genuinely valid reasons. It doesn’t mean all women are inc…

I went from 340 to 205 in a 2 year period (2007-2009). I was a chubby kid growing up but loved girls, which sucked because most girls don't dig chubby guys. I was always an athlete so eventually I began lifting and getting in great shape towards the end of high school, getting some minor success with women. After high school, I kind of spiraled. Got into alcohol heavy and drugs too. Started eating compulsively because why the fuck not! Anyway, I decided one day to quit drinking, drugs, and get m…

No these tips were awesome!!! I’m usually pretty shy around attractive women so walking up to them in public is terrifying. I’m scared of becoming the creepy guy who harassed them at the store. That’s just my hang up though. If I’m smiling and friendly, what can she really say? She won’t call her friend and say “you’ll never believe this creepy guy at the store, he smiled at me and was friendly, what a creep! “ lol

Agreed. I haven’t had sex in almost 5 years so sex with a hot woman might be a too much pressure!! Then again... lol

Yea I feel you. I haven’t slept with anyone since my divorce because if I perceive her to be less attractive than my ex, I worry if will kill my self esteem. Maybe I should just get over my hang ups and just be.

I’m no seduction expert by any means but I think of this quote from the movie Alfie (that was problem stolen from somewhere else) to help get over my anxiety. “Whenever you meet a beautiful woman, just remember somewhere there's a man who's sick of shagging her.” It’s true. My ex wife is gorgeous and highly desired by many men. And I got bored and complacent and took her for granted. Even the perfect 10s get dumped by guys who are sick of them. I dunno, but if helps me get over my approach anxie…

I want a younger, prettiest, more successful woman that makes my ex say “damn, how’d he get her?”

It’s been the hardest lesson I’ve ever learned!!!! On the one hand, yea it’s probably the one of the worst situations you can have happen to you. On the other, it’s been the greatest motivation fuel ever.

Great ideas, any tips of how to not focus on sex when talking to a girl you find attractive? lol Should I pretend she's an old lady or something?

Porn and masturbation was a big factor in losing my marriage of 10 years. It caused me to have delayed ejaculation (could only cum from solo masturbation) which made my wife’s self esteem go in the shitter. She later became resentful and we got a dead bedroom. She never told me how bad it was for her but she did communicate that it did bother her. I brushed off her concerns. It sucks knowing that it’s self-inflicted. I’m on day 4 of no masturbation now and an seeking sex therapy because I don’t …

Just saying, there’s a lot of saltiness in forums like this. Might not be the best place to get a rational opinion on something as important as marriage.

Probably not the best place to ask my man.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
