I hope everything works out for you. This page has been amazing. It should be illegal to keep a man away from their children but some women know how to take advantage of a system designed to take care of people dealing with actual violence. Keep your head up and keep pushing!

It was dismissed at the court hearing. I bought a body cam and recorder. Today was the first time I wore the body cam and it created a whole shitshow. “You’re creating a narrative.” “Your job is to literally plan and that’s what you’ve been doing this entire time.” Etc; This and some came from my stbxw and her sister. If I could pay someone and make this all go away tomorrow especially her sister, I definitely would.

That’s what I’m afraid of. I just want to give my kids some sort of normalcy because they constantly say they want me to move back in. My lawyer was against it after the hearing. I spoke with her about it a few weeks ago and she said that if I feel safe and we are amlicable then move back in. It’s either move back in or rent a place that’s ~5 minutes away from my house and pay rent and mortgage.

I’ve been gone from the house for approx 21 days after the Injunction was dismissed early Dec. I’m considering coming back because I miss my kids and my stbx is trying to control when I see them. Because this is a civil matter base legal was completely worthless which I expected and had to go the civilian route. I agree 100% about negotiating everything. If it were me, she would only have the socks on her feet. She’s an adult and needs to act like it.

I appreciate the advice. We’re in the discovery phase so I’m submitting my financial affidavit to my lawyer next week. Her petition was asking for crazy things like registration of guns. I live in Florida and there’s no gun registration. Freaking lost em all when I took the kayak out.

I hope everything does workout. Yesterday I got my stbx’s counter petition from my lawyer. This chick wants full custody of the kids, the house, alimony, and 1/2 my retirement accounts (military). Her excuse is she only worked part time as a nurse for the past 3 years to support my career. Luckily she’s back being a full time nurse so hopefully this is taken into consideration.

Get a UPS mailbox. It’s expensive but worth it because it’s just like having a regular mailing address and gives you piece of mind. Just check it every few days. They also send you a notification if you have large boxes that come.

She didn’t want to drop it so I fought it with mounds of evidence with my attorney and it got dropped. I learned a lot about myself and people in general with this whole ordeal.

The trial happened and it was dismissed thank god. Your advice for being a “grey rock” and language in court is spot on. There were several people ahead of us and it shocked me how they spoke to the judge. Zero professionalism especially when it came to a judge.

Unfortunately I’m aviation and the community I’m in doesn’t have an exped squadron per say. Plus I wouldn’t even be able to go to it for another 4 years due to sea duty, timing, etc; I’m trying to not deploy until 2024 because hopefully this divorce will be settled by then but who knows.

I appreciate the reply. I’m staying with a friend on the other side of town. I had to move when I got served with the Injunction. I’ve been transparent with my command and FFSC since it created a FAP case. I’ll definitely try for custodial parent. Getting this injunction against me is a black eye plus deploying which I’m trying to avoid until late 2024. I appreciate the advice.
