After 10.5 years I decided to call it quits. I’m Active Duty military and my stbxw is a Registered Nurse working in Labor and Delivery. We both are in Florida. On Oct 21st that’s when everything went to hell. She got on top of me while I’m laying in the bed and I told her to stop multiple times. Started recording as I was trying to get up. I eventually told her I was leaving and she grabbed a knife and went outside. I followed her and ended up taking the knife from her and running inside. Long story short my car and truck tires got slashed and I had a knot on my head and was bleeding. Filed a police report 3 days later and like an idiot, I told them I did not want to press charges because I wasn’t sure if my wife or sister-in-law hit me.

I started sleeping in the garage and have videos of her coming in and standing there after me asking her to leave at all hours of the night. She took the door knob off and removed the door only by one hinge since she didn’t like me locking the door. I have pictures of all of this as well. On Oct 29th, I tried to leave the house and she would not let me leave alone. Had a mental breakdown and stripped naked yelling and screaming. I covered her up with a blanket and sat behind her to calm her down. Kids came in and and saw everything. Her excuse was, “I’m human and it’s okay to show emotion.”

I got hit with a Domestic Violence Injunction last week that resulted in me having to leave the house and no contact with my two young boys. It stemmed from her She removing my toiletries from the bathroom and told me to go take a shower in the guest bathroom. I was completely fed up with her controlling and said no. I left my phone and wallet in the bathroom and she locked me out. After asking her multiple times to unlock the door I started pushing on it and it cracked. Stopped and got a credit card from the safe to unlock it. At no point did it get physical between either one of us.

Sorry for the long tirade I just want to know what chance do I have to get the Injunction dropped. I also have an attorney and filed for divorce. I just have to find out which day to serve her. Also, my attorney is accompanying me to the Injunction hearing as well.
