Take a look around you and find out what you want in life. Make some goals based off of this. Start to develop a sense of discipline in yourself and ruthlessly work towards your goals. If the going gets tough, remember the reason why you made those goals in the first place. Be Hungry.

Sticky this. This is the most eloquently written piece I've ever seen that describes the structure of the community and why the mods do as they do. I mean, really beautifully written.

Self-awareness I think is one of the most important aspects of charm. I think it's safe to say that anybody can identify the weirdo in the room, and the charming guy in the room. The kicker is that many don't know whether or not they are being the weirdo or the charmer. It stems from not being able to look at yourself and your actions from an outsider's perspective. There's two ways to help improve your charm I've found. There may be more out there: The first is to be actively looking at people'…

Not in all cases. females also nag when they have to do things they don't want to do, like go to the gym with their husband because he said she needs to workout. That's where OP is going with this-- if females are always going to nag, make her nag about the things that you want her to nag about, such as having to go to the grocery store, working out with you, taking care of the kids while you're away on a trip, etc.

That's the thing. Once those boys start reading up on this stuff they have this personal epiphany that they should cut out anything that doesn't align with personal improvement and start upon a straight and narrow path. The irony is that once you do that, you become a pariah to everyone around you. Just how people newly converted into a religion will give up all of their vices and then preach to everyone they know about it. All their friends will start to distance themselves. 38th Law of Power: …

I think you just miswrote before what you actually meant in this comment. I was curious why you wouldn't think that your family and friends are matters that have any relevancy in your life, but your reply cleared things up. The thing about valuing your friends and family is that you've got to show that you're interested in what they're passionate about (i.e. when having a conversation, you're actually listening to what they're saying) before they will start to show interest in what you're passio…

I think an important aspect to self-improvement is not only the ability to recognize your emotions, but also to recognize if you as a person either lack emotion or have an excess of emotion. Some need to use their emotions more, and others, vice-versa. I'm sure we've all seen both sides of the spectrum, where on one side we see the borderline autistic, and the other side we see the borderline ape letting his emotions control him. Recognizing where you are on that spectrum may be the first step i…

It doesn't apply to this article. The author writes about how guys who "pull" 1-2 girls a year are in the top 10%. Anybody can buy hookers. Not saying you're wrong, it just doesn't apply to the idea that OP is writing about.

I think it has a lot to do with how people view it as an alpha vs. beta thing. The former puts the value on the woman, whereas the latter puts the value on the man. Some people take it the wrong way and think that saying the latter makes you sound more alpha, but in reality the latter doesn't really describe what the phrase is getting at.

She should be doing this anyway, at a higher level you could almost take this way(punishment). Then she'll KNOW that shes fucked up, it reinforces the concepts that you don't need her and she is replaceable. This is a great way to modify behavior because it makes people feel terrible about themselves. I've found that by doing something that you've already asked somebody to do (or something that they know that they should be doing already), they feel worthless and are eager to make up for their s…

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Are you asking what we think was going through her head? It seems obvious: She was interested in you. Simple as that. Go talk to her instead of explaining to yourself why you're waiting. There's no need to "hold off"-- she's already expressed interest in you. The gym can wait. Just know that people in worst condition--mentally and physically-- have gotten laid and are getting laid. All you need is some tight frame and good game. Go get 'em slayer.

8 hours is huge block of time, man. I think you might be putting the cart before the horse: i.e. you're looking at your schedule before establishing exactly what goal you're trying to achieve. If you establish what you want to accomplish, you can better apply yourself to that time instead of looking at it blanking and saying, "holy crap-- it seems so small". What do you want to accomplish anyway?

It sounds like she's temporarily out of options for guys (AKA validation) and is looking to her last guy for some validation (you). Nothing more than that. It's up to you whether or not you want to respond to her. Just know that there's not some master plan that she's designed in order to get back with you; she's probably just trying to get some easy praise.

Man, That kind of stuff is what you need to know. It's good that you're finding out about it early on and not after you've had sex with those types. Like the other guy said, dating is like fishing. If you're not getting anything worth catching, all you gotta do is keep throwing the line out and see what bites. Also, the more dates you go on, the more topics you'll find yourself talking about, and eventually you'll have a whole bank of questions that you can ask those girls. Just don't overthink …

Don't lie. It won't affect how they view you and your GPA/prior experience with said position, unless you left that internship not on good terms. They won't care if you picked up another job in the mean time. Lying about it doesn't make sense.

She was trying to justify in her head why you would do such a thing. In her mind, she is clearly not the problem. Therefore, what could be the problem? It must be you-- you must have changed somehow. You were helping her before, and now all of a sudden you're not anymore for no apparent reason?? That's, like, super weird. To answer your question, yes, it's normal. take it in stride.

Google hair styles and sift through them until you find one that you like. Otherwise, what I advise doing is growing it out, then going to a no-shit salon and asking the hairdresser to do whatever she sees fit with your hair. Cutting hair is their job-- they know what looks good and what doesn't. They should definitely be able to hook you up.

Talk about yourself when you're trying to connect with someone. If you find out that he likes to make his own beef jerky, tell him about your own beef jerky-making endeavors. Maybe you have some interests or goals or fears that line up with his, talk about them. It's OK to talk about yourself as long as you don't make it sound like you're the best damn thing since sliced bread. Modesty is key-- let your acquaintance decide for himself whether or not you're the best thing since sliced bread. If y…

I agree that ghosting is an incredibly tough thing to do with any LTR that has merit. Been there, done that. It was just as hard as you say it is. But I disagree with you on your thought that ghosting is used mainly when you have hard evidence of her cheating. I don't think it's the only instance where you should use it. If a man can't articulate his own thoughts, then he can't win an argument, he can't attract girls, and he can't win the respect of his peers. A man is lost without words. Think about how little respect others would have for you if you just let others just walk all over you. Being able to write and speak effectively is the cornerstone of influence. I would argue that practicing these is one of the manliest things that you can do.

My sister was lazy too, but with respect to doing her own taxes. I remember my father (the clever silver fox he was) went to the bank and withdrew $100 all in $1 bills. Every time that my sister found something in her annual expenses that qualified as a tax break, she would get a dollar. The stack of dollar bills on the table gradually decreased as my sister worked diligently, and she ended up raking in most of the dollars. It's important to think outside of the box with solutions to unruly kids…

Back when I did sales, it was common practice in our team to talk as highly about each other as possible before bringing them out to speak. Not only does this bring credibility to your friend and make others think that he's worth his salt, but it also makes him feel like a rockstar and have good thoughts about you and your positive attitude. The concept applies outside of my practice too-- speak of your friends like they're rockstars, and they'll do the same to you.

I think the correlation between obesity and the easy access to porn cannot be understated. The US Department of Health states that 64% of the female population in the US are overweight and 36% of the population is obese (as an aside, the male population is 74% and 36% respectively, but the fact is that women aren't attracted to men in the same way as men are attracted to women-- we're attracted to good looks and beauty, women are attracted to that, along with charm, wit, job security... etc). There is something to be said about resetting and letting the thirst of not having any accessible pussy take hold. If they're not looking for advice, stop giving it to them. People will get offended that you think their way of life isn't up to par with yours, and you run the risk of burning some bridges. Just live and let live. People will end up just fine without unsolicited advice-- I guarantee it.

Kick the desperation and STOP CARING. You've gotta let go of the desperation if you want to attract anyone. Material possessions may temporarily make us happy, but it's the relationships that we build with other people that keep us happy long-term. Think of anything that you've ever done with a group of people that you didn't like doing, such as studying for a test, training in high school sports, the math team, whatever. I can guarantee you that you didn't stay in it because you thought "I'm getting something out of this!" maybe at first, but what keeps you going is the people that make whatever shit…

This reminds me of a time when I once met up with a tinder girl for a study date. We met up at a coffee shop, we studied, we left. and that was that. After thinking about why that "date" didn't escalate into anything more, I realized it was all about what I was asking of her: I asked her if she wanted to meet up to study. So naturally, that's what we did. I didn't insinuate anything else as I was speaking with her, which led to us actually just meeting up to study.

There are many more effective ways of getting abs than by having your workouts consist solely of burpees. I had the same problem before, man. Mine was from some subconscious anxiety that I had about sex and intercourse in general. Let me tell you my story. First off, let me say that condoms suck. They cut off circulation and they kill the mood when you have to stop and put it on. I recommend getting the super-thin condoms to increase feeling down there. My mentor always has told me: "Never miss an opportunity to keep your mouth shut." The flip side to that is when you're already in conversation. I've found that if you're arguing with someone about a topic that cannot be fully right or wrong, the person who speaks the most usually wins. Those who have a lower mental capacity will simply think that "more words = more logic/reasoning" when in reality it may not necessarily be the case.

Self-justification is a powerful thing, my friend. Your mind is wired to make yourself feel good about whatever choice you make. Try focusing out a bit and include everyone in the conversation. You're right to feel a little weird talking to a girl who's with someone, because all you've ever done is just talk to the girl; the social context is different when it's more than one person. It would be both weird and kind of a dick move for you to just focus on the girl and then pretend as if the other person is some damn ghost or wisp of imagination.

I like to play a game with my friends. Whenever we go out, we bet each other drinks on how long we can hold a conversation with a girl that my friend gets to choose. in that context, you're not trying to take home the girl, you're just trying to win the drink. Eventually, you'll find that bars are way more fun by simply going up and talking to random people rather than just talking to your friends the whole night.

Generally, a woman becomes extremely affectionate to the person that takes her virginity ('cause, you know, seratonin). Things usually have the propensity to move a lot faster in the relationship after that. Just know that what you are experiencing right now is in part due to her hormones creating a strong connection with you. So I suggest taking her words with a grain of salt.

Every woman that I've been with (and others can very well attest to it as well) will want a bite of MY food, just because they think it's "cute" and it's their way of letting you know that they like what you like. That's not to say it isn't true, but your example detracts from the validity of your point.

However most contrarians are also lacking some inter-personal skills to convince other people. If they want to be successful, they need to work on this. Not only do you need social skills to convince other people, but you need to actually be good at something. This comes more into play with people that actually know you (because what else do strangers know about you except your social skills). Your friends will much more likely follow your lead if they know that you have some kind of value, whet…

Correct me if I'm wrong, but to say that we crave a monogomous relationship because deep inside we don't want a crumbling society means that the belief is part of our instinct...? I don't think a girl insulting her SO fully fits the context of your first point, but I agree with your first argument. Mark Manson talks about this in Models, stressing that to be human means making mistakes from time to time. Sometimes events that transpire (that you're completely unaware of) are mentally affecting your SO and causing them to act in ways that you won't ever be able to effectively respond to, simply because you'll never fully know the cause of their actions.

From one who's done both, I'd have to disagree with you there. The concept is the same, but the experience of the two are worlds different. The biggest difference is that the goal of pledging is to put you through shit for the sake of putting you through shit, whereas basic training puts you through specific periods of shit for very specific reasons. Instructors at basic always have a reason for why they make you do certain things.

My friends and I were talking about this the other day. One of them mentioned that when he gets older and his kids start the biological process from boy to man, he intends to put his boys through a rite of passage to signify the transition from the former to the latter. He also intends to make it a family tradition. I'm thinking about doing something similar, perhaps involving a physical object(s) to be passed down from generation to generation.

The way I see it, as a man you've gotta be "the fucking man" and not let your emotions sway you at all. The way you can have your cake and eat it too (cake being connection and emotion with a girl along with being "the fucking man") is to let the girl come to you emotionally before you display emotion back. Like /u/drqxx said, you've got to get the girl that fits your criteria when picking a mate. That way, you don't have to shift your emotions around to fit hers. hope that helps.

To address a problem you've brought up a couple times in this thread, I strongly advise continue reading the material in this community. ♂ Excellent explanation. Best answer on this thread. The fake it until you make it mindset exists because it is required to internalize your end goal (whether it's being a leader among your peers or attracting women, etc). The men who attract women interact without contrition, therefore it is not being dishonest. But if you aren't on their level, there will be a time in which you must emulate them without having internalized their mindset yet. EDIT: trpbot sucks.

If somebody was asking for a one-word or phrase answer for a question that they had, this definitely hurts. I was displeased that I wasn't able to help someone out with their question on here just yesterday, but I can understand the underlying context. It does help us to expound our thoughts a little bit more, and forces us to give just a bit more than a one-word response, even though that is what some questions ask for. Holy shit dude, you really kicked the obesity out of your life! good for you! A couple pointers: Mindset is a LOT about who you hang out with. try finding a group of guys that you can shoot the shit with, and do stuff that guys do; go fishing, play poker, shoot some trap, try snowboarding, whatever piques your interest. Go places with these guys and start hanging out with their acquaintances. Hit the bars with some friends (preferably with the guys stated above) and meet people there-- there's n…

It's easier to say Marine ROTC than to explain to people that I'm a marine option in NROTC. It's just semantics.

You've just got to say to yourself "that's how they are". Become apathetic to it. I always got frustrated when I observed girls do the type of stuff that you're describing, but I learned to say "who cares?" because there's nothing you can do to stop them. once you stop caring, the emotions and the anger goes away.

I think that people who intentionally put themselves through struggle/pain (such as lifting) are those who are happier, because by toughing through pain, it builds discipline, marking their timeline of existence with low spots, inflating the value of their normal-everyday lives. whereas those who eat cake are marking their timelines with small high spots, making their normal-everyday lives artificially low, if that makes any sense.

The technique with wearing glasses definitely a thing. My main picture on tinder is one of me with a girl by my side and some fake glasses on (the pic was taken at a "nerd" party, took some wayfairers and punched out the lenses), and I've had more girls tell me that those glasses were hot than I ever thought would.

Heck, even WHEN you ignore the female, they still rationalize and warp their thoughts into innocence. My father ignored my mother whenever she was being unreasonable (which unfortunately was most of the time), and after cheating on him, she said it was because she "couldn't deal with him treating her like this." Even with that said, I still agree that silence is the best tool to use against the oppression card that women play many of the times.

I agree. keep your eyes sifting through the articles and you'll start to see how it can be applied to different parts of your life; it's different for everyone, mind you-- some people need it in areas where others don't and vice-versa, So we can't exactly say how to apply it to YOUR life. It'll come with time, and eventually you will be able to tell yourself where it's needed most.

I kind of have that same thing going too; let me try to paraphrase to see if we're on the same page and then I'll give my two cents: It's like you want her to be the one pulling you towards escalation, not the other way around. I think what you've got to do is make her crazy about you. Like no shit "crazy girlfriend" type attraction to you if you want it to be a consistent thing in bed. I'm no expert, but it might help thinking of it in terms of a rubber band; try withholding sex from her for a …

well I can say that my biggest mistake was the inability to let go. when I'm with a girl who's texting someone else and then shortly thereafter says that she has to go because of <insert reason here>, I couldn't stop thinking, "what were they saying about me?" That's also the trend I've been seeing. women almost never respond back when you give them unlimited time to text back. It's like fishing; yes, a lot of it is a numbers game (spend enough time on the water and you'll eventually catch a fish), but you can improve your catch ratio by tweaking your routine a bit. I generally say "let me know by this day when you're free" to give them at least an imaginary dead-line. even though it doesn't really matter to you, it shows the girl that your time is va…

I think what OP is looking at is how the female marine didn't blame herself for why she failed the Basic Endurance Course at IOC. She never said "because I wasn't physically strong enough." She mentioned how there may not have been enough training time between BOC and IOC, and that female marines are held to a lower standard physical fitness standard in the fleet, but she never pinned the blame on herself.

My father incessantly reminded me that he wanted to keep my sister and I out of it as much as humanly possible. I was the one that kept pressing for details. My mother used to do this to me during the time that her and my father were separating. My dad would explain to me the financial situation and ongoings of the divorce. He told me that my mother was trying to hoodwink my dad into getting extra alimony from him by socking away extra cash in a separate account at the bank and lying about her annual earnings. Thankfully my Dad took a lot of extra precautions and had a paper trail of her lies, so she actually ended up owing my dad money instead of th…

Sometimes I feel that not all my eggs are in one basket, so to speak. I'm extremely involved at college and often I find myself forgetting things that I needed to get done. Fratter here: can confirm. Many sorority girls go "frat hopping," similar to "bar hopping." from a biased standpoint, I'd say go greek!!! But if it's not your cup of tea, then make lots of friends who are in fraternities by first meeting them in your classes. then study with them at their house and make more friends whilst there. Don't try to make friends with other fratters at parties; everybody is drunk and we frankly don't remember who we met last night unless you're truly memorable. There's …

Any attention is good attention in our case. The more that we get brought up--regardless of whether it's in a good or bad light-- the more people will realize the lie they've been fed. The AFCs who take the hivemind's advice won't ever swallow the pill, but that's not who this subreddit is after. The people who are willing to go against societal norms and take the Red Pill are the people who should be joining anyways.

I'd argue that it depends on the person. As Mouse once put it in The Matrix, "to deny our own impulses is to deny the very thing that makes us human." Yet some people would be more driven for a smart child than an attractive one. To clarify I'm not angry, that must've been my opinion shining through.

My view deviates from yours at the belief that mothers will get it as soon as they have a son. Although I can't vouch for all mothers, I believe that's more likely than not for feministic women to continue on a "noble" quest for women's rights whilst beta-ing their sons, teaching them to become little Dennises. No, I think it takes something special to knock feministic mothers off of their high thrones.
