Take the kids and go home, where you're comfortable. She's going to start new things, and you shouldn't be in a strange place to deal with that. Go back, and get yourself together, and prepared.

I'm sure this sub is filled with them. Hell, they imputed my income from when I was working in my profession of 3 decades, over a year and a half ago. I started a business last year, and I am not yet profitable, can't even pay my own bills, now they want me to pay her $1400 a month. I'm two months behind, can't seem to get anyone to buy my guitars, motorcycle, etc. I thought the divorce was hard, this is just insane. I hate everything about this, thebworld is broken.

What an amazing way to spend xmas even, filing for divorce. These women are diabolically cruel.

Dammit. I'm so sorry that you're going through this, yet another one. I'm so sick of reading about the same story. Every week i read another story and it sounds just like my story, and i get so damn sad/angry. What is going to take to stop these women from tearing apart lives, destroying families. I feel completely robbed, every week i have to say goodbye to my kids for x amount of time. All she had to do was not fucking con me into a relationship with her. I signed up for full time, now because…

I've been saying this and bringing it up for a couple years here now. It is my opinion that this is probably 95% of the problem. This happened to my wife and I wish that she would open her eyes and see it, not so that we could reconcile but so that she can heal herself. She's going to destroy the relationship with our kids, she's going to destroy any relationship she tries to Foster. Which by the way she's doing, she's with the affair partner so I'm sure that'll last. And anyway glad to see othe…

Yet another example of postpartum rearing it's head. I swear it needs more eyes on it. It's either postpartum or menopause that I see is at issue in so many examples. I don't think society is taking it seriously enough, these women need help, until then families will continue to be torn apart.

I've only been able to surmise that it's psychological. For me, i believe it was a combination of postpartum and menopause. And with postpartum she refused to seek therapy or do anything about it and her depression turned into something strange, something that her new divorced book club friends latched onto and took her in. From what I observed directly and indirectly, the hatred of men is really incredibly strong. The thing is I think a lot of these other women genuinely had terrible marriages,…

Yes, and he basically lives in my house now. The house I worked hard for and build up to what it is. The guy who was fucking my wife for probably a year prior to our separation a year ago, who contributed nothing, gets to enjoy my home. I too believe they will likely get married after the divorce is complete. The only good from any of this is that the kids really don't like to be with her, I honestly wish she would just give me the kids and go live this life she wants. She said not to long ago t…

Knowing doesn't make it easier, in fact it has made it so much more difficult for me to move on. It's in my nature and built into my profession to look into things. I've learned quite a bit about this dude, which I suggest you try not to do should you find out she is dating. You will undermine your own sanity and your self worth will plummet. Good luck brother.

Them giving up on the kids is the kick in the teeth I didn't know was going to be a thing. That's what really tells me they've lost their fucking minds. When the maternal instincts fade, that's a "fuck you" that really crosses the line. You want to hurt me, you want to blame me, you want to get your kicks and whore yourself out, sure...But now you're dumping the kids too? It's crossing a line that I can't rationalize. She took our girl into town on the light rail a few weeks back for some Christ…

The absolute whores that our wives become is sickening. Everyday I sit and stare at the fucking wall wondering how I wasted 20 years of my life with this person. It's utterly depressing that these women are then supported by everyone we once knew as a couple. We are typically labeled the problem or the reason our marriages fail. And we have to just swallow that bullshit, just take it and accept it. No answers will ever be given, no justice will ever be served. I'll leave this fucking life a brok…

You're not alone today, just remember that. The kids went to moms last night in my case, and she had to close my time with them with a reminder, and it reminded me what a horrible person she is. I can't get the words out of my head, playing over and over "You have to get rid of the one you have to get the one you want" well, good riddance to the trash. Here's to celebrating holidays whenever you want, and being the best version of yourself you can be for your kids.

Yeah, pretty messed up, right? You would think I'd be done with her because of that, and I was for a while, there's just something about the holidays and recently that has me all kinds of fucked up over her. I mean she's pretty messed up for doing what she's doing, there is no doubting that. But she's also having a problem keeping up with being mom for the kids, I have them the majority of the time. To me she has something going on in her head, pretty much what this post is about, but I think a …

I believe 100% this is the case. But I also believe there is post partem involved as well. We have a 6yo and things really went south after she was born. She has a boyfriend, he lives in my house, we aren't divorced just yet, but we're closer with the paperwork. I want her back, I know I'm an idiot, but I do. I love her and for some reason I'm having a difficult time dropping that. We have two kids, and seem to have to interact often. We get along quite well. But she knows I still love her, so I…

This was me last night. A neighbor at the marital home text me after I dropped them off asking how I was doing, and I told her that I feel miserable, being a part time parent is not what I signed up for. She said I need to learn to appreciate the quiet time, umm yeah no. I asked her to think about how that would feel if it were her girls. She said that we have different circumstances, and I can't really ask her that question. It's ridiculous, I didn't sign up for part time parenting, and I sure …

Sometimes you want to believe that your partner is good, that they can't possibly be doing what others are suggesting, what you might be denial about. I don't think it's time for anyone to question what this person is going through. Honestly they've got it together, they're moving forward, but I can't believe that there isn't some serious underlying pain they're experiencing right now. So now is not the time in my opinion, they are here, they're seeking solace from a shitty situation.

I’ve shared my reasons here before, so there’s nothing new in that regard, but tonight I just need a space to vent. Because of the kids and the divorce, we still have to interact. Lately, though, I’ve felt almost no desire to hear a single word from her. Still, I have to engage—it’s part of the situation. Recently, I’ve started noticing some of her old habits, certain phrases and behaviors she used to use. They’ve been sticking in my mind more than usual, and as I piece things together, I can’t …

I don't know brother, I really don't know. Based upon a lot of the stories and updates people post, apparently it does. But until then, there will be constant reminders of who these women truly are, dark fucking black souls is all I can see. What a terrible thing to say, I'm sorry you had to hear that. I just had to go to my house as my son forgot his shoes, and I had to see her AP parked in my spot in front of my house. Good for you being able to get back out there. I can't even bring myself to…

There were moments in the past when I couldn't see that, the pain and the reality of it all overshadowed many things. But now...those are not hollow or throwaway in any sense, they are exactly all that matters. Thank you for your comments, knowing people hear this is really powerful.

It's marital property, and there is nothing that can be done. She even changed the locks and I can do nothing about it. Side note. I just received a text message from one of the neighbors expressing how messed up things are. I've been wondering if everyone is just OK with all of this, I thought I must be losing my mind if so. But at least there is confusion in the neighborhood now, and others see just what she is. Her actions will find eventual consequences, I'm glad to see it starting. And the …

There is a protection order against me. Long story, but she called the cops and they got me on a eavesdropping charge due to the security system. So that makes it even worse really. Yes owning the house, and some schmuck living in it is especially difficult. But I cannot go back there.

I'll go get that book right now. Thanks for the suggestion, I need to get my mind wrapped around something to give focus on me and the kids.

I've been asking myself this. How does this guy just drop into my home, sit in my chair, sleep in my bed. He's a piece of trash is what he is. He keeps posting about his girlfriend on social media, it's really sickening. I better not see pictures of my kids.

I can't wait to move on as well and put this all behind me. But I'm going to have to deal with this woman for a very long time considering the kids ages. I've got almost two decades, I Will never trust another person again.

I certainly hope there will. I keep hearing people tell me karma is a bitch, but I just don't believe in that stuff. Why do we have to have suffering for there to be karma after the fact, why can't we just not have these horrible situations exist. I don't understand who this woman is and I'm a bit upset with myself for giving 17 years of my life to her. She deserves nothing.

The whole story of your brother-in-law is really disturbing. The legal system is so broken if that's what they believe is in the best interest of the child. I'm so sick and tired of hearing in the best interest of the child when they clearly are not looking at the best interest of the child. These mothers just getting everything, and all of us fathers out here just getting destroyed. I don't understand what's happening, and how this is acceptable.

I look forward to it. Thanks for the welcome, under the circumstances. I'm not looking forward to my kids interacting with this dude tonight. Due to a snow day my kids are home, my daughter just asked out of nowhere, "do I have to go to moms?"

We aren't selling, it just doesn't make sense with the low interest rate we have on the marital home. Neither of us is filing, but it's just in the cards and unavoidable I believe. I didn't file because I don't want this. She isn't filing because of some financial gain I suspect, her treatment of me suggests there can be no other explanation. I know we have a lot of extreme situations in this sub, and I don't want to pretend in any way that mine can compare to some of the stuff I have read here.…

We aren't at a paperwork phase of this at all. so my statement may change in an instant here soon. I separated from her earlier this year and got a house a few blocks from the family home. We have so far continued to live almost as we did when in the same house. However, she is certainly starting the "keep it separate, it's better for the kids" way of thinking. Neither I, nor the kids have any interest in that, but you cannot stop the flow of time, it is inevitable. She has kept her assets hidde…

Anecdotal as it may be, I've seen this trend amongst my circle of friends. All the women seem to be sharing the same idea that it's better to destroy your family than to work through the challenges.

I did this. I live a few blocks from the family home, and honestly, it works for the most part, with some exceptions. Yes, the kids can bounce between the two with ease, yes it makes school pick up/drop off very easy. For the most part, my son stays at my house, my daughter stays at moms. This is mainly driven by the fact that my office is right next to my son's school. I would have to double back to drop off my daughter. So it is a matter of convenience. Please don't take raising kids as a matt…

Interesting, I was previously married(divorced) early 2000's, with a child custody arrangement. The courts were very concerned about me having a male roommate for my visitation with my daughter and I had to ask him to leave to maintain the arrangement.

I assume you don't have kids? If you do, then it should be your business as to who is living with them(depending on custody arrangements). If not, excellent response.

Your bank's website is encrypted and requires a login. SKEN would not have permission to view websites that require authentication or use encryption. This simply isn't possible. I'm not saying she isn't trying to monitor something maliciously, but it really cannot be used unless the website is publicly accessible.

It monitors changes to websites. For instance, if you hosted a domain name and made a change to your website in anyway, this software would notify you of said change. I can't really think of any way that this service could be used for in a malicious manner.

I just had this conversation with my therapist the other day. If I had not met her, I would not have my children, who I love deeply. I also still love my wife deeply and need to reconcile the nuking of our life and our future as her chosen path. I did have a wonderful life with her, we had a tremendous amount of fun and great experiences over the years. I can't regret that. I can only regret the loss to be honest. But this is early for me, so I'm still working through the motions. Like you, I ne…

My take is that we're all a bunch of dudes, regardless of fame or stature, going through the same thing. Sorry, I don't have much in the way of wisdom here, it's ridiculous that his wife gets that kind of money. Though to be honest, it's not the money that's the problem. What is the problem? The problem seems to be pretty common here...women leaving their marriage, and most of us will never fully understand or recover from it. This is my first post/reply. I'm going through some stages, loss, ang…

I'm the opposite side of the spectrum, but it doesn't feel different than your experience. I moved to a new house, right around the corner so it's convenient for kids and routine, which must be maintained. I spoke to a good friend at work today who moved to a different building in the area. He and I used to talk about projects, and how we'd do this or that. It was a surprise to him that all this had happened. One of the first things he said was, what about your garden, and all the work you put i…
